[dinosaur roars]

Okay, kids...

It's time to play!

Which of these shimmy-shakers

is telling the truth to this question?

Why is the ocean salty?

Ocean salt actually comes from rain and rocks.

You see, as rainwater falls from the clouds,

it picks up this stuff in the air

called carbon dioxide,

making the rain acidic.

When the raindrops splat down onto rocks,

that acidic water dissolves the mineral in the rocks,

carrying their saltiness

to the rivers and streams

that empty out into the oceans,

making the ocean salty like a big bag of potato chips.

[audience cheering]

Okay, so you're saying rain hits mineral-filled rocks

and washes their salt out into the ocean.

Sounds pretty smart...

but you could be pulling my leg - if I had one -

so let's hear what Pepper has to say.

[Pepper Shaker] The real reason the ocean is salty

is because the land that we live on

shifts little by little,

very slowly, every year.

When the continents move,

they create tiny cracks in the ocean floor.

How is Your Dental Hygiene? - Duration: 1:31.

- It's October.

It's National Dental Hygiene Month.

Who knew?

- That's great.

What's great is it's a very important part of your health,

so it's something we need to talk about,

it's something we need to think about.

Don't neglect your teeth.

Make sure you do everything, you have a good

regiment for brushing.

Brushing at least least 2 minutes.

If you have like an electric toothbrush

or something that times it for you,

it makes it so much easier, makes it so much more fun.

Make sure you floss, make sure you gargle,

you know, the whole regiment.

But I'll tell you what, when you do it, it makes

such a difference and your dental health is so important.

You don't want gum disease.

You don't want things that can affect your health

in so many other different ways.

And again start with small, micro, mini habits.

The co-founder of our company at one point said,

"Look, if it's tough for you to floss" he said,

"have some dental floss out, and every day,

"just commit to flossing one tooth,

"that's all, just one tooth.

"Do that for a while and then gradually

"increase it to two teeth."

And I'll tell you what, it works.

Just do what you have to do,

but dental hygiene is important.

So, get your toothbrush out, lay that floss

on the counter, make sure you take care of

your teeth, because that's going to have

a great effect on your overall health.

That's it, thanks for listening.

you're one minute closer to a healthier you.

কেন সব ব্যবসা স্টার্টআপ নয়? (Why any business is not a startup?) - Duration: 3:17.

Startup has been a popular word among the youth of Bangladesh recently

There used to be a time when most teens would have a goal of finishing their studies and getting a job

Nowadays most have a dream of building their own startup

What is startup?

Let's find an answer on startup for your curious mind

Lexically, startup means a new business initiative or project

It's an initiative where new ideas are formed with technology

to solve a pre-existing issue with something unique

Thus, serving a large number of people with services or products

But because the solution is rather unique, its success is not guaranteed

The initiators or the organization themselves fund the primary stages of a startup

Although, there's no regulation of differenciating startups regarding earnings and employment

But there are some characteristics that we can notice when it comes to startups

The difference between a startup and a small business is the probability of it growing, aka its scale-up

Though due to funds and investments, startups should be started from a small base

But every startup has a goal of reaching success

For example: Suppose you opened a restaurant in you area

This is a business

Because you can spread it by only a limited form

Whereas, food delivery services like Hungrynaki are startups

Because the possibilities and factors of it spreading is very large

Thus we can say: Every startup is a business, but not every business is a startup

Over the last few years, the ground for developing startups in Bangladesh has grown quite a lot

New startups are rising constantly to tackle many issues this country has right now

We have already seen a bunch of startups to gain success

Such as, Pathao

Pathao has made ride sharing a very popular medium of transportation, in a busy city like Dhaka, to tackle traffic issues

After many domestic and international investments, its price is now about 100 million Dollars or 820 crore takas

Bangladeshi startup initiators have to face some common problems

One of the main being, lack of skilled manpower

Besides, the people in the education and art fields of this country haven't developed an attitude of inventing something new

The social perspective about startups haven't changed either

Then there's the unwillingness of banks to invest in startups

But hopefully

Many government and non-government initiatives have been taken to create a favorable environments for startups

Some of which are: ICT department's Innovation Fund, A2i innovation fund and the recently found Idea Project which has a target of funding 200 startups

Besides these, many non-government incubators and accelerators have been developed

A notable one is, Grameenphone's GP Accelerator

So we can hope that

Maybe in the near future, startups like Facebook, AirBnb and Whatsapp would be rising from our country

What is Universal Language Modeling? | AI News | Intel Software - Duration: 1:27.

Have you ever wanted to learn more about transfer learning

and the idea of universal language modeling?

I'm David Shaw, and in this episode of AI News,

we'll dive right in.

Transfer learning is focused on storing gained knowledge,

and then leveraging that knowledge

to solve a similar problem.

Until now, transfer learning was somewhat limited

in computer vision.

However, recent research has shown

it can have an impact on natural language processing,

or NLP, and also reinforcement learning, or RL.

Within NLP, text classification is a key component.

It's concerned with real life scenarios

like bots, assistants, fraud, and even document

classification.

In the past, academic research relied

on embedding to train various models.

The issue with this, however, is that there are limitations

when it comes to embedding.

For example, words that rarely occur in vocabulary,

dealing with shared representations,

co-occurrence statistics, and support for new languages

can create barriers.

But these challenges can be overcome.

If you want to learn more about universal language modeling

and get a step-by-step breakdown,

then check out the article in the links provided.

Thanks for watching AI News.

We'll see you next week.
