Waching daily Oct 28 2018

Earlier this week, the White House released a report titled The Opportunity Costs of Socialism

and it's a report where they tried to show that United States healthcare policy works

so much better for senior citizens here than socialized medicine works for senior citizens

in other countries, including Canada.

So they included this handy little chart that shows the wait times, the average wait times

that senior citizens have to wait in order to see a specialist.

And as you can see on the chart here, the US, we're way lower than everybody else which

means that our form of healthcare works and everybody else with the socialized medicine,

the Medicare for all, universal healthcare, their system sucks because people have to

wait months to see a doctor.

Here's what the White House left out of their little report.

You see that little piece, all those senior citizens and how short they have to wait,

the vast majority of those people with those really short wait times in the US, those are

people who are currently on Medicare.

Medicare is a form of socialized medicine.

The thing that your entire report was trying to tell us is an evil bad thing.

But instead, what you just did was show us that here in the United States, we actually

know how to put a socialized Medicare system in place and have it be successful.

You know, Medicare is one of the highest rated in terms of approval of all government programs

ever in the United States?

I think it's over 80% of people on Medicare say they really, really like Medicare and

now you're releasing a report showing us that these people who are on socialized medicine

here in the United States don't have to wait very long at all to go see a specialist?

You just made the case even more than the Koch Brothers report from a few weeks ago

that showed that Medicare for all would actually save us a couple trillion dollars in the long

run.

Every way the republicans try to slice it, what they end up inadvertently doing is showing

us that Medicare for all is the correct way to go for the United States.

And I love it.

I love when republicans try to prove something and instead prove the opposite by saying that

Medicare for all doesn't work, all they've been able to do is show that it's the only

way that healthcare in the US can work properly.

It can save us money.

It reduces wait times.

In fact, one of the biggest things and their little report actually showed this that the

US sucks on in terms of healthcare, we're actually at the bottom of the list.

Our chart would be all the way to the end is wait times for average people who don't

have health insurance to go to a doctor.

People who are putting off medical care because they can't afford it.

That's where we lead other industrialized countries, including those with socialized

medicine.

That's where we lead in people who can't even go to the doctor.

So yeah, Medicare for all, at this point, given the poll numbers for it, given these

wonderful reports that republicans keep putting out showing how great it is, Medicare for

all is an inevitability at this point here in the United States.

It's something that is going to happen.

Maybe it's not going to happen in the next year, maybe not even in the next two or three

or four years, but in time, in a very short time relatively speaking, Medicare for all

will become the standard here in the United States.

It is the only way forward for this country that has struggled for decades to figure out

the best way to run health care in this country.

The answer's staring us in the face.

Republicans want it, democrats want it, independents want it.

The only people who don't seem to want it are the ones representing us in Washington,

DC, and of course, their wealthy donors from the healthcare industry.

Kerryon Johnson Fantasy: Is the Lions RB a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com

The Kerryon Johnson bandwagon is picking up steam and fantasy football players are jumping on board at a rapid rate.

We've seen the Detroit Lions running back burst onto the scene in recent weeks, excelling when given extended work.

He's played a big role in the team's back-to-back victories and should be busy on Sunday.

After Johnson's huge Week 7 performance in which he tallied season highs in rushing attempts (19) and yards (158), he now draws a matchup against the Seattle Seahawks at home.

The rookie out of Auburn has carved out a solid role and has plenty of upside, but there has been concern this season about Lions coach Matt Patricia holding back his workload.

So, let's look into Johnson's spot this week for fantasy football players and break down whether he's a start or sit against the Seahawks.

Key Stats and Kerryon Johnson's Fantasy Outlook.

I'll break down the matchup along with a few numbers which jump out about Johnson and the Lions.

All information on fantasy points and statistics for defense vs.

position are from ESPN.

Seattle Seahawks vs.

running backs in 2018: 129 attempts, 531 rushing yards, 33 receptions, 257 receiving yards, six total touchdowns (No.

15 fewest fantasy points per game) Johnson played his most offensive snaps in a single game of the season in Week 7 (59 percent), per Football Outsiders Johnson has averaged 5.8 yards per carry or better in each of the past five games and has at least 10 touches in each of those games He also has at least 12 carries in three of the last four games.

Johnson's workload is finally starting to get there, and it seems Patricia can no longer avoid giving the 21-year-old the touches he deserves.

Whether he was just bringing him along slowly or trying to preserve his snaps, the Lions back has officially turned a corner.

Should You Start or Sit Kerryon Johnson?.

While the matchup against the Seahawks is no walk in the park, it could certainly be worse.

I don't expect to see Johnson's workload or impressive play to slow down this week either.

On the season, Seattle has given up the No.

9 most rushing yards per game with 120.7.

The only way Johnson's fantasy outlook takes a hit this week is if the Lions fall behind early and are playing catch up most of the game, and I can't envision that happening.

This game should stay close and the rookie's upside is high once again.

I'd recommend starting him in all formats and leagues with 12 teams or more, and he's a fine option in 10-teamers depending on your roster.

Martavis Bryant Fantasy: Is the Raiders WR a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com - Duration: 4:10.

Martavis Bryant Fantasy: Is the Raiders WR a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com

When the Oakland Raiders opted to trade No.

1 wide receiver Amari Cooper, the immediate question was who would step up and be the new go-to option.

We know the Raiders have taken a step back this season and are playing from behind often.

In the eyes of many fantasy football players, the attention likely shifted to Jordy Nelson.

But it's an interesting situation and one that may benefit Martavis Bryant more than Nelson.

While Nelson is already averaging 86.9 percent of the team's offensive snaps this season, per Football Outsiders, Bryant has played 37.4 percent, just slightly behind the 40.7 percent of Seth Roberts.

Roberts will likely hold down the slot role, meaning Bryant should become a starter and play opposite of Nelson.

Through six games, the Raiders wideout hasn't done much, catching just 14 passes for 220 yards on the year.

He did have a solid game against the Los Angeles Chargers where his big-play potential was on display, pulling down three passes for 91 yards.

The 26-year-old's upside is unquestionably there, but is he worth the risk of starting in fantasy in Week 8 against the Indianapolis Colts?.

Should You Start or Sit Martavis Bryant?.

The Colts have been hit-or-miss this season against wideouts, allowing 95 receptions for 1,100 yards and seven touchdowns, according to ESPN.

The numbers aren't overly appealing, but they also aren't scary in any capacity.

A key here is that the Colts defense will likely give quite a bit of attention to Jared Cook and Nelson, potentially leading to a few opportunities to get loose over the top for Bryant.

There is risk when it comes to this play, as his snaps aren't completely known yet and it'll take a week or two before we can really gauge that.

But based on upside and the targets which were previously directed at Cooper now being up for grabs, Bryant belongs in the conversation.

I don't believe the former Pittsburgh Steelers speedster is worth the risk in 12-team leagues or smaller, but if you need a flex play in 14-team leagues or above, I'm on board.

The risk vs.

reward comes into play, and Bryant has the potential to pay off fantasy owners in a big way.
