Did you know that the soundtracks for many Plarium games

were composed by the famous musician Jesper Kyd?

We first worked with Jesper in 2012 on Soldiers Inc.,

but he later put together the scores for four more of our games, creating the album Five Worlds of Plarium

Jesper's other projects include huge successes such as Borderlands,

Hitman, Kane & Lynch: Dead Men, Assassin's Creed

Sori Is Dying (Her Hair) @ Jung Saem Mool - Duration: 15:12.

Sori's YouTube Channel

Hi, everyone~ Sori here. "Sorry Not Sori!"

I am on my way

to a hair salon

to dye my hair.

As you can see...

the root of my hair has grown quite a bit.

Once I dye my hair,

the color is real pretty for a while,

but as time passes by, the hair loses its color,

and like this,

my real hair color shows from the root. My hair grows especially fast too.

So,

since it looks messy,

perhaps,

I think I need to dye my hair

that fits my style.

Even though I'm trying to make this shot as pretty as I can,

my face is so puffy right now... I apologize.

*puffy*

I promise to turn this on later, talk soon!

Cherry blossom's so pretty.

I've arrived at the shop.

It's so gorgeous out today.

This right here is...

beauty salon that I frequent.

There are

tons of famous people getting their hair done here

It's been some time since I came here.

I'm now gonna step inside.

It's kinda awkward to record myself like this.

The shop seems to be

as busy as usual.

But the make-up room doesn't seems to be.

This right here,

is the make-up room.

My face is so puffy today.

The hair salon portion

I need to get to is

on the 3rd floor, oh hello!

This is where I'm gonna get my hair dyed.

After I drop off my belongings

I'm gonna go

see my stylist

Putting on a robe first

I put on the robe.

Hello!

Ma'am, I started a YouTube channel recently, and trying to shoot a video of dying my hair, is that okay?

-(toning) down your hair?

yes

Hi again!

Ma'am, Today,

I would like to dye my hair akin to my natural hair color, and

as natural as it can.

root of hair has grown and it's kinda messy

and it's getting difficult to maintain.

So I decided to dye it back to my natural color

-It could be pretty dark initially, is that okay?

That's fine

-Then let's begin the transformation. -Okay.

This is the first time I've shot anything like this.

So, I'm feeling awkward, and so is the stylist.

There is this stylist, "Eunjung" who usually does my hair

but she's not in today.

So, "Taeun" is gonna do my hair today.

There she is.

My hair color was

really pretty before,

now it's getting all messy, so...

I can't continuously dye my hair partially, so...

But when I was shooting a TV show,

I had to maintain this hair color and had to dye the roots multiple times

which was pain, additionally I had to match colors too

So dying in darker color is more convenient.

Let the dying begin!

SInce my hair is so long,

Stylists have such a hard time every time I dye it.

(Dying and chattering)

This is gonna be my first "beauty" video. I've shot a bunch of different kinds,

like cover dances,

and planning on doing other stuff too,

This is my first "beauty" one.

(No matter what I do, this face would look funny. lol)

Pucca hairdo

Is hair dying initially finished?

yes.

-So, all I have to do is let it sit? -yes.

-For how long?

30 minutes?

Ta-da! It's finished!

Once I let it sit for maybe 25 more minutes,

it should be done.

I hope it turns out well. Don't you?

(A free coffee, yay!)

(Deeelicious :) )

I gulped it down!

Which one should I read?

My wishlist is getting longer!

-Thank you so much! -I added some chocolate syrup.

I've got some granola in a mug,

with some milk added

oh, looks yummy.

she brought it

specially for me, I've had this before

when I came to the salon

early in the morning, when nothing else was open.

I was feeling pretty hungry, and they gave me one of these

and said it's good to eat as it is, just outta the bag.

And it was just that, straight outta the bag, delicious.

I'm having it with milk today.

mmm, so good.

this is probably

cereal for dieting.

it tasted sweet when it was eaten by itself

but with milk, it tastes...

hearty.

This granola...

appears to contain multiple grains

How should I describe it, I see some black beans,

green peas,

brown rice...

Thank you so much!

Shampooing room!

is right here!

This shampooing is deemed to be a pretty challenging step, since my hair is so long.

Finished!

since my hair is long, shampooing is turning into a mission.

I've been consistently

dying my hair in bright colors

when I was shooting drama

or doing media appearances.

Ma'am,

-my hair's pretty damaged, isn't it? -yes.

;_;

Is it hard to comb?

I look so funny.

My hair's gotten whole a lot darker.

Isn't it?

It looks a bit dark right now, but the dye's gonna wear out gradually.

So, its okay.

I'm layering my hair now,

under professional guidance.

Now that my hair's darker,

my face looks "whiter".

I like it.

My face's so puffy

it's puffed up so much!

I've received some hair treatment for damaged hair.

I'm gonna go rinse my hair again.

you're supposed to rinse again after the treatment?

That's correct.

yeah, that's what she says.

I like this lighting that this shot is giving.

My face looks much less puffy.

Some of the skin recedes back...

Puffiness, please go away!

Look how many people are involved in drying my hair.

3 people! That's a record.

With this much effort, my hair's gonna dry in a minute.

Drying again.

It looks voluminous.

detailed check/evaluation...

Finally, we're wrapping it up!

Wooow! Thank you so much!

Thank you, good bye.

good bye~

Isn't the weather so nice?

Shall we? Oh, I like it already.

After a haircut,

layered a little bit,

and changed my hair color a bit darker.

If you see closely enough,

this hair right here...

Woow,

my hair feels so much lighter!

It really does.

all those layering

Even if I were to

wildly shake my head dancing

it still feels really light.

For the color, it has brighter tone when I'm under a well-luminated space

It's a bit dark right now, but that's gonna change soon with time.

Please understand if I'm looking a bit messy right now.

It's very

Nice.

Very light too.

I got all these done from Jung Saem Mool

you guys should dye your hair too (imitates posh accent)

Let's head outside, shall we?

KhrystyAna is a Body Positive Activist on a Mission - Duration: 0:47.

(fun music) - My name is KhrystyAna,

and I'm a body positive actress, and a model.

Body positivity for me is

about everyone who has a body.

I genuinely want

people to see how beautiful they really are,

and understand it, and feel it.

For me I'm fighting for that person

who is on the journey towards self acceptance, self love.

Being told not to be a certain way,

not to behave a certain way,

and especially growing up in Russia

where it's a specific kind of woman

I didn't feel like I could fit in.

When I was in America's Next Top Model

I was definitely edited into a

very sweet, nice, and a listener.

Sweet is fine, but I'm also

really dorky, really clumsy.

That's just who I am, and I'm not afraid to be that.

Why Teaching Carrier Phrases Is a Bad Idea | Language Therapy for Children with Autism - Duration: 8:02.

For those of you who know me well, you know I'm not a fan of teaching carrier phrases to kids

with autism.

So today, I'm going to tell you why.

Hi, I'm Dr. Mary Barbera, autism mom, BCBA-D and bestselling author.

I've never done a full blog on carrier phrases, but my blog on teaching Timmy to talk in four

word utterances where I talk a little bit about carrier phrases spurred on some controversy

from both SLPs and a few BCBAs too.

A professional even messaged me and asked me to provide the research that justifies

my position that teaching kids with autism to use carrier phrases is almost always a

bad idea.

So what is a carrier phrase, and why all the controversy?

It's a really common practice to teach children with autism to form sentences, so once a child

can say or exchange a picture of juice when he wants juice, for instance, a lot of speech

and language pathologists, teachers, parents, and behavior analysts start teaching and then

requiring the child to build sentences by adding "I want" in the front of requests.

This "I want" is a carrier phrase, but the "I want" is not the only carrier phrase that

I'm concerned about.

Other carrier phrases include: "I need", "I see", and "that's a".

So here are my thoughts and why I think carrier phrases, teaching that, is almost always a

bad idea and my response to the professional who was looking for research.

I can't point you towards a research study to prove my position, but I can tell you that

in my 15 years as a BCBA I have hundreds of examples of how teaching and requiring carrier

phrases almost often backfires.

For early learners who aren't talking much or at all, teaching carrier phrases causes

more articulation errors, so if a child can barely pronounce "pretzel" so they may say

"pretzel" or ball, they might say "ball", so it's not clear.

Now we're talking about just one or two syllable nouns.

Now, we start requiring "I want pretzel" and now we're up to four syllables, so it might

sound something like "I want pretzel".

So it is not helpful to add the "I want".

In fact, my preference would be to go back and get those one to two syllable words more

clear so that everyone can understand.

I also think teaching carrier phrases as the next step takes the focus off of vocalization.

I've seen so many kids where they're described as nonverbal when actually they are trying

to speak, and a lot of times they are speaking with their main request, and they're still

being labeled as nonvocal.

People are now focusing on devices and focusing on these longer length of utterances, and

it's just making a mess of language.

I also think that early learners, I've seen it where they don't have the discrimination

to switch between "I want", "I see" and "I need" so they don't know which carrier phrase

to use and when to use a carrier phrases and when not to use a carrier phrases, making

their language even less functional.

Even if you have a child who's considered more of an intermediate learner with dozens

or even hundreds of labels, adding a carrier phrase such as "that's a", so "That's a ball,"

can quickly become rote and can backfire.

So I have client, her name is Faith, and when I went to see her we started teaching her

nouns.

Pretty soon, just a month or two after I started, instead of having 50 words, she had hundreds

of words.

So there was a gap in between when I saw her from one time to the next of about three months.

I went to see Faith at preschool, and all the sudden we were holding up pictures and

she'd say, "That's a ball."

"That's a frog."

"That's a ..." I'm like, "Where did 'that's a' come from because that's not good."

I think she had gone to some private speech therapist who had probably introduced "that's

a" but Faith was just using it constantly.

In fact, when I said, "What's your name," she said, "That's a Faith," so I worked with

the therapist to get rid of "that's a" and I'm happy to report, I just saw her last week

and "that's a" is gone.

But had I not gone in and tackled that, her language would've become less and less functional.

So for all learners, the push towards increasing length of utterance with carrier phrases and

teaching manners too, which is a whole other issue, it kills spontaneous manding and, in

my opinion, leads to prompt dependency.

Here's what I see.

Child vocally mands for water by saying, "Water," or maybe it's not as clear, but maybe it's

clear enough, so "water".

The adult says, "Tell me in a sentence.

Talk like a big boy," whatever the prompt is, which means that the child now has to add

"I want water," or "Water please," or "I want water please," essentially treating a spontaneous

single word mand or request as an error and making the response of the full sentence dependent

on an adult prompting.

In general, I can't think of a case after working with hundreds of children with autism

over the past 15 years where I can say teaching carrier phrases has helped make language more

effective and functional.

If you like this blog, please leave me a thumbs up or even if you didn't like this blog, feel

free to leave me a comment.

I know it is kind of a controversial issue because a lot of people have been teaching

carrier phrases for many years, but I think I have provided a few points for you to consider

so that next time you might think about how not to teach a carrier phrase that might become

rote.

I'm on a mission to turn autism around for two million kids by 2020, so I hope you'll

join me by clicking the link in the description and downloading my free, new, three-step guide,

or by going to MaryBarbera.com/join.

Tell all your other professionals and parents too because everyone's welcome to join me

on my mission to turn autism around.

I'll see you next week.
