Ask Japanese tries ASMR. Challenge: Japanese food.

These are Japanese instant Yakisoba ramen noodles.

They are generally wrapped in a lot of plastic.

Inside there is a polystyrene container with a paper lid

You can hear the noodles inside.

Dried noodles, sauce, seaweed, mayonnaise.

Sea weed sounds like this.

This is the squishy spicy mayonnaise pack.

This is the typical Yakisoba flavor sauce.

And a big chunk of dried Yakisoba noodles.

Add hot boiling water up to the mark.

You can hear the air bubbles escaping though the noodles.

Wait for a few minutes then peel the back label off. It looks like a sieve.

Drain the hot water from the noodles.

[Director sneezes]

Peel the whole label away.

Plastic wrapped chopsticks.

Breaking the wooden chopsticks.

Add the sauce first.

Gently mix the sauce with the noodles. Stir until they are all covered.

The noodles will be soft and kind of mushy, when stirring.

The bits of green is cabbage that was under the noodles.

Make sure all noodles are covered by the end of it, otherwise they have no flavor.

Ooops

Mixing takes some time but it's done now.

Spicy mayonnaise looks good on top and adds an extra kick.

Finally soft, dried and grated sea weed.

This is the result.

Cathy: Can I eat this actually or was that just for show?

I can eat it? Alright then!

See how long those noodles are.

In Japan it's not impolite to slurp, but Cathy can't really slurp.

Cathy: Wow this is yummy.

[Drink magically appears.]

Cathy is trying to slurp but failing.

Gentle slurping.

It tastes like normal Yakisoba, but the spicy Mayo gives it a bit of a kick.

The sound of wooden chopsticks on polystyrene

Cathy is really going thought that portion of Yakisoba there.

Cathy has given up trying to slurp by now.

The cabbage is surprisingly crunchy for it being instant food.

That was how it sounds to eat Yakisoba. Thanks for watching.

Who Is The Man Behind The Oyster Mask? - Duration: 3:52.

Of all the major world-shaking events in 2017, the one that most people will remember is

the debut of the man in the Oyster Mask, whose viral rendition of the song "Until We Will

Become Dust" was YouTube's top trending video of the year.

Which begs one question: just who is the man behind the Oyster Mask?

He's big in Thailand

When the man behind the Oyster Mask took the stage of the hit Thai TV series The Mask Singer,

rumor has it that the judges thought the singer behind the mask was actually a woman.

Well, not quite.

In fact, it turns out the man in behind the Oyster Mask is Pandavaram Prasarnmitr.

When not wearing as gigantic Oyster Mask, Prasarnmitr is the lead singer for the popular

Thai rock band Cocktail, which had previously enjoyed success with songs like "Soulmate."

So what's next for this young artist?

Right now, the sky's the limit, and we have no doubt Pandavaram Prasarnmitr is going places.

Mask Singers

So why was he wearing a mask in the first place?

Well, as the show's name implies, The Mask Singer is a reality competition where all

the performers are celebrities whose identities are hidden behind an increasingly bizarre

series of huge masks.

Imagine The Voice crossed with Celebrity Apprentice, only with everyone wearing ginormous unicorn

heads, and you'll have a pretty good idea why The Mask Singer is one of the most popular

shows throughout Southeast Asia.

If it sounds too awesome to be true, though, we have good news for you - Fox is currently

developing a version of The Mask Singer for America!

Awesome.

Viral sensation

While his televised performance on The Mask Singer was an immediate hit, it was the power

of the internet that truly launched the man behind the Oyster Mask to superstardom.

After his performance of "Until We Will Become Dust" was uploaded to YouTube on June 1, 2017,

the world officially became his oyster, as it became YouTube's number one trending viral

hit of the year.

To date, the video over 238 million views, while a second video of the star performing

live has also earned more than 200 million views.

Tens of thousands of fans have commented on the videos, with the common theme being that

the performance is so powerful it transcends the language barrier, explaining how the tune

became a global sensation.

But what exactly is the song actually about?

What exactly the song is actually about

The song is preoccupied with the notion of eternal love and how it's vastly superior

to, say, living a life of crass materialism and superficiality.

For instance, one sample lyric, loosely translated, says:

"Will you stay with me, and let us grow old together?

At the end of our lives, we will live closely and fade into dust.

Return to the Earth, bury our bodies together…"

In another section, Oyster Mask intones,

"I don't have a lot like others have."

Then, he offers up a peculiar laundry list of all the things he doesn't have.

For example, he doesn't have a crown.

He doesn't own a fancy headdress.

And he's not like any of those fancy celebrities you see in clubs.

He does happen to have an old pickup truck... but that pickup truck has some serious issues.

In other words, it's basically the Thai version of a country song - only if Johnny Cash were

wearing a gigantic ornate Oyster Mask.

No wonder it's so popular!

Oyster Mask's legacy

The man behind the Oyster Mask may not have started the trend of performers hiding their

true identity behind a giant mask, but he's certainly helping to bring it to the mainstream.

For many years, masks have been popular among EDM artists like Daft Punk, Deadmouse, and

Marshmallow, as well as metal groups like Slipknot and Gwar.

But with stars like Oyster Mask and Sia introducing the trend to other genres, it feels like masks

are poised to become the next big thing in music.

And it makes sense: masks allow artists to maintain their privacy and anonymity while

also allowing their music - not their celebrity - to be the focus.

What more could a true artist like Oyster Mask ever ask for?

Trey Gowdy Comey's Definition Of A Leak Is 'What The Rest Of Us Call A Felony' - Duration: 14:23.

Trey Gowdy: Comey's Definition Of A Leak Is 'What The Rest Of Us Call A Felony'

Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy says former FBI Director James Comey is distorting the definition

of an information "leak" to suit his own purposes.

The South Carolina congressman told Fox News' Tucker Carlson Thursday night that Comey was

twisting the facts in an interview with Fox's Bret Baier earlier that evening.

Comey was trying to convince Baier that he had not really "leaked" his memos of meetings

with President Donald Trump to the media but had simply shared personal correspondence

that could be seen as no different than a private "diary."

That didn't wash with Gowdy, who told Carlson that Comey "has a definition of the word

leak that no one else has."

Republican Rep. Trey Gowdy says former FBI Director James Comey is distorting the definition

"What he says is a leak is what the rest of us call a felony," Gowdy insisted.

"Leaking is disclosing a confidential conversation, which is exactly what he did."

Comey claimed Wednesday on CNN that he did not leak memos, but that he "asked a friend

to communicate the substance … one unclassified memo to the media."

CNN host Anderson Cooper pressed him.

"I think of a leak as an unauthorized disclosure of classified information," Comey said.

"That's it?"

Cooper replied.

The DOJ inspector general is examining whether Comey violated any laws or regulations governing

the release of classified information to the media

or public.
