Waching daily May 2 2018

This video is going to focus a bit on the soft skills, the personality assessments.

There's been a lot of research by Cambridge, particularly MIT and Harvard, uh, associating

or using data science with the right talent that have a higher likelihood of delivering

a high quality of, of successful outcomes for the project.

They looked at specific attributes of an individual based on the personality.

And so we look at those things as well.

We leveraged their, some of their assessments that came out of Cambridge so that we're matching

the right talent with the right people, focusing on the soft skills as well.

I can't under score or over over emphasize the importance enough of, of having a project

team with soft skills as well.

It's great to have hard skills to function on the technical, but if you have a project

team members that are client facing, or stakeholders facing, particularly business analysts, project

managers, communications specialists, change managers, trainers, those individuals touch

the clients and they can do a lot of, uh, good to really bring people along and to going

through transformation.

But they could also do a lot of harm and cause a lot of frustration and resistance to change.

So taking some time upfront, selecting the right team that matches the personality needs,

the cultural needs of your organization, it goes a long ways into developing a highly

successful project.

I gave you a previous example that we had in our previous video of a resource that we

were looking at that how to use a project manager for a Salesforce project that we have.

And this was an example of an individual and how we would go about doing an assessment.

We do have a personality assessments and different types of assessments based on the different

needs of our clients.

They wanted to show you one of those and how we look at personality, how we look about

the soft skills.

Obviously we do interviews to determine the soft skills as well, but data also goes a

long way.

Uh, so, uh, this candidate will have completed a personality assessment and we'll be able

to take a look at a variety of things that we've customized for, for Darby and for our

clients.

Have some of the key skills that we look for that are soft skills that are important to

be successful with our clients.

Things like broad thinking, establishing trust, stress aversion, preference for teamwork,

how they present themselves.

These are soft skills that are critically important.

And the way we look at the scores we're able to see how they they score on average amongst

other individuals within their same role within the IT world, and we're also able to see at

a high level a quick standard deviation of whether or not they're below average, above

average, by using data science to help us match the right clients to the right people.

You don't always have to go to this level of sophistication.

We do because it's important for our brand that we're constantly developing and placing

great talent on our clients and we have to make sure that we've done our due diligence

to make that happen.

"Mourinho to blame for Sanchez struggles" - Portuguese making Man Utd "flat", says Owen - Duration: 3:11.

"Mourinho to blame for Sanchez struggles" - Portuguese making Man Utd "flat", says Owen

Jose Mourinho's defensive mindset is to blame for Manchester United falling "flat" and Alexis Sanchez looking "a shadow of the player he was at Arsenal", says Michael Owen.

The Red Devils are closing in on a runner-up finish in the Premier League and are through to the FA Cup final, but their brand of football this season has won few admirers.

That has been the case since Mourinho inherited the reins, with the Portuguese famed for his focus on containment and winning by any means necessary.

Owen believes those philosophies are holding the club back, particularly their attacking talents, with the quality within the Old Trafford ranks suggesting that they should be faring even better than they are.

The former United striker told Joe: Im always hesitant to say United need this or they need that. It's not so much about personnel for United.

Personally, when I look at that current United squad they should be doing better than they are. They are still not the United I expect to see.

Jose is a defensive type of manager. He can make defenders look better and attackers look worse. If I was an attacker, Id like to play in any other side in the top six than United.

They brought in Sanchez, who was one of the best players in the league over the last few seasons, and he is just a shadow of the player he was at Arsenal.

That is just because of Mourinho's style of play. Everyone has to be working back and making tackles; filling space.

Uniteds back four is only okay but youre having players like Sanchez, Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial rushing back to help out, and they are playing in front of the best goalkeeper in the world.

That United squad, when I look at it, has the potential to be the best in the league and be much better than they actually are.

Sanchez has managed just three goals in 15 appearances for United following a January arrival from Arsenal.

Mkhitaryan was moved in the opposite direction as that deal was pushed through, with a proven playmaker deemed surplus to requirements after slipping down the pecking order.

The likes of Martial and Marcus Rashford have also been frustrated in their respective pursuits of regular minutes this season, while Pogba has faced criticism after being denied the freedom to express himself.
