An important concept in digital analytics

and in business in general is the concept

of key performance indicators.

These are metrics

that let you know how you're doing in light of

your business objectives.

Obviously in order to determine

what your KPI's are,

you're going to need to understand what your business

objectives are.

Let's give some examples.

Let's say that I was an e-commerce

retailer.

I want to sell stuff.

So knowing

a metric like,

"How many visitors do I have to my site?"

that's not really my KPI.

A KPI might be something like average

order value

or let's say I had a content site,

page views might

actually be important because I make money.

There's revenue models based upon

how many people are seeing ads for that content.

Or another KPI might be

visitor loyalty because I

want those people to be coming back again

and again

and consuming my content.

So understanding your

business

and your business objectives will allow you

to determine in advance

what are your KPI's.

In Google Analytics terminology

oftentimes those will be set

up or translated as goals.

A goal in Google

Analytics is a way of tracking,

"Did the person see an important page,

or did they take some sort

of action that you can measure

with an event?" Some sort of interaction

with the site that is of

business value.

So when you are

at the beginning;

and if you haven't done it you don't have to do it now,

of configuring your Google Analytics,

and understanding strategically what your KPI's

are will allow you to configure your goal's properly

so that you can measure your

success

and improve upon it.

For example, did a user see

a particular type

of page?

Did a user take a particular type of

action? Are there indications

behaviorally in terms

of user interaction that can indicate

some form of success?

One additional piece that I'll add to that

is that any KPI kind of falls

flat unless you have a target.

You can measure your success,

but it needs to have some sort of

vector, some direction that it's going.

So in addition

to understanding "What is that metric that's

measuring the success of my business?"

figure out,

"Where do I want to go

with that?"

and that's a target,

and then you can measure your success against

that target and

as they say, "Move up

and to the right."

We have worked in this format for more than five years now, and it has proven effective and much in demand during this time.

It allows us to fully analyse and consider the dynamically evolving situation and, if need be, to promptly clarify and adjust our plans on modernising the Army and Navy and developing our defence industry,

and to make decisions that will ensure the meticulous fulfilment of the state defence order.

In the last few years, we have done much for the consolidation of our Armed Forces.

Their structure and numerical strength have been streamlined; surprise checks of combat readiness for all manner of forces are regularly held; units are being steadily equipped with new weapons and hardware.

This year our advanced weapon models and systems without analogues in the world were demonstrated for the first time.

They vastly increase our ability to ensure Russia's security and provide us with strategic balance, maintaining the strategic balance in the world for decades to come.

We discussed work on these systems at our previous meetings. We know that they are in different states of readiness. We will continue paying regular attention to these issues.

Clearly, we need to keep moving, consistently modernise the Army and the Navy, develop them in all core areas.

The strategic nuclear forces undoubtedly are critically important for defence and security.

In accordance with the State Armament Programme we will continue the scheduled replacement of expired Topol missile systems with cutting-edge Yars systems.

Fourteen missile regiments will have to be equipped with them by the end of December.

During the year the air component of the "nuclear triad" will be reinforced with upgraded Tu-95MS and Tu-160 missile carriers that will carry modern long-range cruise missiles Kh-101 and Kh-102.

The construction of Borei strategic missile submarines is to proceed strictly according to schedule.

One of the priorities is improving means of countering high-precision weapons and their carriers.

We must actively develop and enhance technological capabilities in air defence, continue modernising the Pantsir complex,

and complete the design and preparations for batch production of the newest S-500 system which is capable of operating at ultra-high altitudes including near space.

Please report on how work is progressing in these areas.

Absolute priorities include increasing the Navy's combat capabilities, primarily by equipping vessels with Kalibr missiles,

and installing cutting-edge reconnaissance and target designation systems. Their use will considerably enhance precision and will ensure a high concentration of strikes on target.

And it is definitely crucial to develop the Land Forces. They play a special role in ensuring Russia's security.

They must be prepared to promptly and effectively neutralise potential threats in all strategic areas.

We must continue to provide units with cutting-edge weapons and equipment including combat vehicles based on the Armata, Kurganets-25, Bumerang,

and Taifun unified platforms, and to provide personnel with Ratnik infantry combat gear.

Android Oreo Update For Samsung Galaxy S7 & Galaxy S7 Edge Temporarily Halted ● Tech News ● #Tech - Duration: 1:57.

Major Android updates are usually something to look forward to, especially since they

come with new major features, some redesigns, and general improvements.

Unfortunately sometimes the roll out of these updates don't always go as smoothly as one

would like, which is the case with the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge.

According to reports, it seems that the update has been halted temporarily due to the fact

that users have been complaining that the update has been causing reboots.

This is according to a report from Samsung's European help forum in which a rep posted

a comment which reads,

"Following a limited number of cases where Galaxy S7 devices have rebooted unexpectedly

with the Android 8.0 Oreo, we have temporarily stopped the rollout of the update.

We are investigating the issue internally to ensure that the impact to the affected

devices is minimized and the rollout of the update can resume as quickly as possible."

This is similarly reflected on the Notices section on Samsung Canada's website which

reads, "S7/S7 edge Android O upgrade is pending a fix for a technical issue discovered

post initial rollout, Updates will be shared as available."

No word on when the update is expected to resume but we guess Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge

users will have to be patient and wait.

balance and decrease the brightness to get the desired effect

now I'm going to compare the lighting of my ring light with the softboxes. In

this setup I'm using two soft boxes one on the left and one on the right I'm

also using my iPhone and the filmic Pro app do you see much difference between

using the ring light or the soft boxes if not I highly recommend going with the

ring light because it saves space and you don't have to use multiple lights

currently I'm using the lowest setting on the dimmer now I'll turn it up this

is the highest setting which seems very bright when I set up the ring light for

my live streams I put it about 4 feet away right in front of my desk I use the

same backdrop as I'm using here but I use the 1080p Pro stream webcam I then

use the Logitech webcam software to increase the saturation and decrease the

brightness. Here's my recommendation if you want great lighting for your videos

but don't have much space or you don't want to use multiple softboxes get the
