I've lived with chronic pain for eight years.

There was a lot of stigma because

I was 16 and healthy so I should have bounced back.

Chronic pain affects one in

four children and teens. This means that one to three million Canadian youth deal

with pain lasting months to years.

I had so many questions.

We saw lots of specialists but also had to explore on our own help to deal with her pain.

Chronic pain has many causes and makes

it hard for kids to be active, sleep, go to school

and have fun with family and friends.

We're a cross-canada team of

teenagers and young adults living with chronic pain, parents, health-care

providers and researchers working to improve the lives of children and teens

with chronic pain and their families.

Have you been directly affected by

chronic pain in children and teens? Are you a health-care provider who works with

children and teens with chronic pain?

We want to know what questions, concerns or

priorities

you have about treating chronic pain in kids and teens and their families.

Your ideas will be used to create a top-ten list of priorities for

research in childhood chronic pain in Canada.

Best T Shirt Color & Ink Combinations for Screen Printing - Duration: 5:30.

Hey guys it's Tori with BELLA+CANVAS and this video is all about color if you've

ever been stumped about what color ink to pair with a specific color t-shirt

then this video is for you we're gonna sit down with our art director to

discuss three different ways to pair color today we're going to talk about

the basics of the color wheel so here we have the color wheel you have the colors

that are lighter that go on the inside and the colors that are darker on the

outside generally the colors on the outside are

call shades the colors on the inside are called tints so a lot of other brands

they will give you basic colors like primary Reds your blues your yellows and

your kelly greens but for us we kind of trying to push the envelope a bit and

pull from our tints and shades designing and figuring out how to choose the right

color to pair with your Bella Canvas tee you should have a good understanding

of color relationships so let's start with the monochromatic colors

monochromatic colors start with a hue and you go either lighter or darker

today we're gonna start with PMS 5575 heather dusty blue you can find our PMS

colors on our color card or our digital catalogue which is on our site generally

when mixing inks you would start with a base color and you can add either a

white to make it lighter or a darker to make it a shade so this would be a tint

and this would be the shade and this would be the hue at a hundred percent

these are basic examples of how I would use this I mean I chose I designed these

particular designs the idea was it was to create a bit of

subtlety another color relationship we'll explore is complementary generally

this means that it is the opposite of the color on the color wheel so you'll

find it directly on the other side a great example are the LA Lakers they are

purple and gold and they work really well especially for sports teams they're

really bright and these generally create a lot of contrast especially when you

have a blue and a red you'll see that they at a primary color they'll be

pretty jarring together so even though they are contrasting colors if you put

them on top you kind of have to be careful you can choose probably a tone

or a shade lighter or darker Josef Albers wrote this book on color

theory and how color has a relationship with each other for example storm which

is this shirt it pushes a bit of gray and a bit of purple but if you put a

print on to here that might be blue it might appear gray on this shirt because

what's happening is that the purple from this shirt is pulling in the blue so the

print itself will appear gray so we have our heather dusty blue and here we have

kind of a dusty pink here's an example of how this would look

the third color relationship we're going to talk about is analogous on the color

wheel this is our space hue we can go to the left side which is more cool or on

to the right side which is more warm and you're a few examples how that might

look you can actually see what I was talking about in the color relationships

here this is appearing more green because now this is a Bluegreen this is

how things will influence each other with color relationships you want to

make sure that you're picking just the right tone so feel free to pick

different versions of these shades so that they won't be as jarring

monochromatic complementary and analogous aren't the only color

relationships there are there are several dozen more and to find those you

can turn to illustrators color guide you'll find your color guide by going to

the windows panel clicking on color guide if you use a drop-down panel here

it gives you a whole array of color relationships the ones that we've

discussed and so much more there are a few more resources out there I'm a bit

of a traditionalist and I kind of referred to this book called color index

by Jim Krause this is a very old version they have a newer version but what's

great about it is that it already gives you kind of different colors color

schemes and it's a really good handy book to have as for your basics another

book that I had mentioned earlier was Josef Albers interaction of color and

that's kind of where you learn how color influences each other so don't be afraid

of color BELLA CANVAS provides such a great array of all these unique colors a

way for you to explore different shades and different tints and just keep

designing

don't forget you can head on over to our website and check out our image gallery

where you can download images of our products and put your designs on them

digitally so you can see how the color relationships work all of the resources

that Michelle mentioned are also linked in the description below thanks so much

Why Camping Is So Good For You - Duration: 5:52.

If you want to sort your life out the best thing that I think you can do is

get out into nature and go camping off-the-grid somewhere really

uncomfortable without showers without proper flushing toilets where

there's no people there's no creature comforts you're sitting around the

fire each night you've got to go through the stress of like figuring out how to

light a fire, you're eating bananas and tins of spaghetti and you're sleeping

we're sleeping on a mattress in the back of our car or you're sleeping in like a

cheap tent on like a yoga mat or whatever you can put together and it only

cost $10 a night to camp here so you can't use the excuse that you can't

afford to get away it's like the perfect holiday because at the end of it all

you're actually glad that it's over but you've also had that reinvigorating

experience of doing something different and getting away from all of your

problems and the thing that camping does is it forces you out of your regular

patterns and your attachments because you've got to deal with more immediate

shit, you have to because it's you're overwhelmed by mosquitoes and the cold

and the uncomfortable like ground that you're sitting on or like all of these

things or the waters cold right now I'm freezing I'm cold

but it's just another like you just realize like you get more in touch with

the immediate experience you get more in touch with nature you start to think

about like spiders and snakes and like I don't really care about any of that

stuff anymore because I've been camping for a long time but all of those initial

experiences are really good for you to pull you out of your old patterns and

stuff and make you start forgetting about your mom and your dad boyfriend your

girlfriend, maybe they're with you they're dealing with it with you and that's even

better that's even cooler like all these relationships and the roommates that you

live with or anything like that that's really stressing you out like you will

forget about it because you will be trying to figure out how to put a tent

up perhaps for the first time in your life and that's going to take all of

your concentration and awareness it has like such a therapeutic effect

and you're gonna see all these beautiful things we saw a Python yesterday like in

a really natural state like just some baking underneath a rock just in the

water and there's like a bunch of fields with cows grazing and heaps of like

wildlife there's a million different kinds of bird and some of them sound

like monkeys and stuff you may have heard them while I've been chatting away

right now and I did a meditation while I was out here as well as sat on a big

rock in the Sun and there's just so much to take in and I think that's what we're

sort of looking for you know day to day life it's the it's the reason why we get

addicted to things and we get attached to things and we go like gambling on the

pokies or we get addicted to video games like high stimulation things scrolling

through social media looking for something to take our attention away

it's because like our ancestors and stuff but over the hundreds and

thousands of years of evolution that we've gone through or whatever they had

like they were in a very stimulating environment this is hectic there's so

much going on and they had to contend with in a much more direct way they had

to catch this stuff that's running around in the woods and eat it and stuff

and find find the plants that they could actually consume that weren't poisonous

and it's like a much more direct experience it would have been very like

a fully immersive like we're working towards virtual reality right now so

that we can have that fully immersive experience all we have to do is go down

the road like get away from the city and get into the forest and then you're in

the most immersive virtual reality the reality experience that we all like shot

like we're all pushing it away thinking like oh it's so uncomfortable it's so

it's so messy but then we like create all of this discomfort and drama and

anxiety and stuff in our lives to simulate it because we miss it because

like we're designed to thrive and flourish in an environment that's

challenging for us and it's it's just I think that's like one of the big

problems that people have like they're just they think that

there they're making their life easier oh they're like they're avoiding all

these things that are going to cause them suffering but all you're doing is

making yourself I don't know you just like you're scrambling the human the

human being like it's not how we're supposed to be but if you're somebody

who's never been camping and you and you hate nature you probably just think I'm

a crazy hippie person which I kind of am now but if you do take that plunge and

get out and go camping or you're somebody who's goes camping already

you'll know what I'm talking about you'll have a fantastic experience and

you'll let go of so many attachments and addictions just by default because you

won't be able to focus on them or you're so immersed in the experience of semi

survival in the wilderness if you enjoyed this video please let me know by

Fandi named interim Lions head coach as FAS continues search for main man Big Ears - News - Duration: 6:31.

Fandi named interim Lions head coach as FAS continues search for main man

Local football legend Fandi Ahmad was named Singapore's national coach for the 2018 Asean Football Federation (AFF) Suzuki Cup on Tuesday (May 15).

However, fans hoping for a permanent appointment will be disappointed to learn that 55-year-old's tenure will only last till the end of the year, even if the Lions do well in the regional tournament where they have been drawn in the "group of death" featuring five-time champions Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei or Timor Leste.

The Football Association of Singapore (FAS) will continue in its hunt for a new Lions head coach, and it expects to appoint someone by December.

Former Lions captain Fandi will balance his new duties with his current role as head coach of the national under-23 team and Young Lions in the Great Eastern-Hyundai Singapore Premier League.

He succeeds former international V Sundramoorthy, who stepped down on April 9 after almost two years at the helm.

Fandi's coaching and support team will include some familiar faces: ex-national defender S Subramani has been appointed assistant coach while former star striker Nor Alam Shah will also join the backroom staff.

The FAS said Fandi will return to his under-23 project after the AFF Suzuki Cup to prepare the Young Lions for next year's SEA Games, and the 2020 Asian Football Confederation Under-23 Championship qualification.

"Since it's been difficult to find a coach that we (FAS) wanted, I volunteered and spoke to the executive committee and team manager that, maybe, I should try," said Fandi at a media conference on Tuesday.

"They are keen and I am willing to sacrifice.".

The former SAFFC (now Warriors FC), LionsXII and Johor Darul Ta'zim coach added: "I'm experienced enough and I know the players well, I've coached most of them before.

It's a big challenge for me.".

FAS president Lim Kia Tong said that Fandi's appointment would give the executive committee more time to search for a new head coach.

He said: "We do not want to hurry the appointment of the coach because we want the next coach to be able to bring the national team to the level we so desire.

Mr Lim also confirmed that the FAS had received applications for the head coach post from former England players Terry Butcher and Tony Adams.

Other names reportedly keen on the position include former Manchester United assistant manager Rene Meulensteen, ex-Bradford City defender Ashley Westwood, and former Thailand coach Kiatisuk Senamuang.

The football chief told TODAY that the FAS is likely to appoint a foreign coach as there are "very few good local coaches in the form of Sundram and Fandi".

The new Lions' head coach has to be "in line with our philosophy", said Mr Lim.

"We want the game to be played at a higher intensity, higher tempo, we want one touch style of football.

"Ultimately it's not local or foreign, it boils down to who is the one who can bring changes to (the football) landscape, bring up the level of Singapore football.

For now, Fandi's immediate goal will be for the Lions to survive the group stage of the AFF Suzuki Cup.

Currently 172nd on the Fifa rankings, Singapore will kick off its AFF Suzuki Cup campaign against Indonesia at the National Stadium on Nov 9, before facing the Philippines away on Nov 13.

The four-time champions were eliminated at the group stage in 2016 after a draw and two losses.

While neither Fandi nor the FAS have set a target for the AFF Suzuki Cup, Fandi said: "It's about fire and desire, which I think is lacking.

I know these boys.

If they put their heart and soul into it, they can do it.

"Tactically we've got to be smart.

We are not the best team in the region anymore, but we will capitalise on our strengths… our determination, teamwork and our fans.".

FAS vice-president Edwin Tong insisted on Tuesday that Fandi would return to the under-23 team regardless of the AFF Suzuki Cup results, as the under-23 team project is his "primary passion", and that "his role is to make sure that the scaffolding and pipeline is established" for the national team.

While Fandi may be adamant that his sole focus is on grooming young players for Singapore, fans will be happy to hear that Fandi could make a return as national head coach in the future.

"Maybe in the future, yes… I hope there's another chance for me to become the national coach in the future," he said.
