BREAKING News From ICE…

This Is HUGE!!!

WASHINGTON – Less than seven months after U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)

Deputy Director Thomas Homan issued a directive that called for increased worksite enforcement

investigations to ensure U.S. businesses maintain a culture of compliance, the agency's Homeland

Security Investigations (HSI) has already doubled the amount of ongoing worksite cases

this fiscal year compared to the last fully completed fiscal year.

From Oct. 1, 2017, through May 4, HSI opened 3,510 worksite investigations; initiated 2,282

I-9 audits; and made 594 criminal and 610 administrative worksite-related arrests, respectively.

In comparison, for fiscal year 2017 – running October 2016 to September 2017 – HSI opened

1,716 worksite investigations; initiated 1,360 I-9 audits; and made 139 criminal arrests

and 172 administrative arrests related to worksite enforcement.

"Our worksite enforcement strategy continues to focus on the criminal prosecution of employers

who knowingly break the law, and the use of I-9 audits and civil fines to encourage compliance

with the law," said Acting Executive Associate Director for HSI, Derek N. Benner.

"HSI's worksite enforcement investigators help combat worker exploitation, illegal wages,

child labor and other illegal practices."

ICE is the federal agency responsible for upholding the laws established by the Immigration

Reform and Control Act (IRCA) of 1986, which requires employers to verify the identity

and work eligibility of all individuals they hire.

These laws help protect jobs for U.S. citizens and others who are lawfully employed, eliminate

unfair competitive advantages for companies that hire an illegal workforce, and strengthen

public safety and national security.

Under federal law, employers are required to verify the identity and employment eligibility

of all individuals they hire, and to document that information using the Employment Eligibility

Verification Form I-9.

ICE uses the I-9 inspection program to promote compliance with the law, part of a comprehensive

strategy to address and deter illegal employment.

Inspections are one of the most powerful tools the federal government uses to ensure that

businesses are complying with U.S. employment laws.

A notice of inspection alerts business owners that ICE is going to audit their hiring records

to determine whether they are complying with existing law.

Employers are required to produce their company's I-9s within three business days, after which

ICE will conduct an inspection for compliance.

If employers are not in compliance with the law, an I-9 inspection of their business will

likely result in civil fines and could lay the groundwork for criminal prosecution if

they are knowingly violating the law.

All workers encountered during these investigations who are unauthorized to remain in the United

States are subject to administrative arrest and removal from the country.

Failure to follow the law can result in criminal and civil penalties.

In FY17, businesses were ordered to pay $97.6 million in judicial forfeitures, fines and

restitution, and $7.8 million in civil fines, including one company whose financial penalties

represented the largest payment ever levied in an immigration case.

"Employers need to understand that the integrity of their employment records is just as important

to the federal government as the integrity of their tax files and banking records.

All industries, regardless of size, location and type are expected to comply with the law,"

Benner said.

"Worksite enforcement protects jobs for U.S. citizens and others who are lawfully

employed, eliminates unfair competitive advantages for companies that hire an illegal workforce,

and strengthen public safety and national security."

HSI's worksite enforcement strategy includes leveraging the agency's other investigative

disciplines, since worksite investigations can often involve additional criminal activity,

such as alien smuggling, human trafficking, money laundering, document fraud, worker exploitation

and/or substandard wage and working conditions.

HSI uses a three-pronged approach to worksite enforcement: compliance, from I-9 inspections,

civil fines and referrals for debarment; enforcement, through the criminal arrest of employers and

administrative arrest of unauthorized workers; and outreach, through the ICE Mutual Agreement

between Government and Employers, or IMAGE program, to instill a culture of compliance

and accountability.

MORNING MOTIVATION: Do What Is Hard (law of attraction) - Duration: 8:44.

there's something I wanna tell you about

the stress and how we have to look at

stress okay and I think it's an

important thing because many people have

told me from my lectures the one thing

they remember okay now I was sending a

dentist office and looked at an article

which said how do lobsters grow I don't

care how look I was interested in it and

it points out that a lobsters are soft

mushy animal that lives inside of the

rigid shell that rigid shell does not

expand well how can a lobster grow well

as the lobster grows that shell becomes

very confining and the kind of the

lobster feels itself under pressure and

uncomfortable it goes under a rock

formation to protect yourself from

predatory fish cast off the shell and

produces a new one well eventually that

show becomes very uncomfortable as it

grows the right back under the rocks and

the lobster repeats this numerous times

the stimulus for the lobster to be able

to grow is that it feels uncomfortable

right now

if lobsters had doctors they would never

grow because as soon as the lobster

feels uncomfortable goes to the doctor

gets a valium gets a percocet feels fine

never comes off his shell so I think

that we have to realize is that we have

to realize that times of stress are also

at times within our signals for growth

and if we use adversity properly we can

grow through adversity easy is not an

option it's hard living life is hard as

you go through the challenges of life

and you look at it and embrace whatever

comes to you don't run from it step

toward it don't try and duck it like

most people do see most people want it

easy

see if you either come easy what easy

gold see but when you go at what you're

going to deal with and you deal with the

difficult difficulties of it when you

handle those hard things close at hand

making those hard

decisions right now that you don't want

to make learning those things that you

don't like to do but you know that in

order for you to get where you want to

go this is one of the hoops that you

have to flip through and I'm saying to

you whatever you got to do do it because

if you don't life is gonna whoop you

until you surrender so if it's hard to

do it hard now what do you how do you

hang in there during the hard difficult

times less you must have faith you've

got to believe in yourself you've got to

believe in your abilities you got to

believe in your service your company

your ideas unquestionably you got to

have faith and that faith gives you

patience that is not going to happen as

quickly as you want it to happen

a lot of things gonna happen that will

catch you off guard and so therefore

you've got to deal with and handle it as

it comes and not only that but that

faith and patience drives you into

action you got to keep moving and keep

plugging away when you're working at

your dreams somebody said the harder the

battle the sweeter the victory always

sweet to you it's good for your wife see

when you win it's hard as a struggle see

what you become in the process is more

important in the dream that's far more

important the kind of person you become

the character that you build the courage

that you develop the faith that you're

manifesting oh it's it's something that

you get up in the morning you look

yourself in the mirror

you're a different kind of person you

walk with a different kind of spirit and

people know that you know what life is

that you have embraced life you know

it's hard but you did it hard you gotta

love it ladies and gentlemen

you gotta love it it's gotta be what you

are supposed to do you do what it is you

supposed are you supposed to build

something you smoke weed

I don't know how to do it learn do

whatever is required just go out there

it's possible you can get what you are

it's necessary if you wanted you got to

go into action you got to be willing to

experiment you got to be willing to fail

them to succeed you got to be willing to

form in to develop new relationships

it's you it's on you you got to make

that happen nobody's gonna bring it to

you on a silver platter said here's your

dream manifested no it's hard

yes it's hard it's difficult yes right

and it's worth it for us to begin to

look at the future know that it's

possible that we can have our dream yes

it is other people have done it then we

can do it we fail a lot of times where a

lot of other folks fail and eventually

they came back and they succeeded so

it's possible we can have what we want

and we know that we want to get it it's

necessary then we align ourselves with

people that think like we do it's

necessary we get- do nothing people out

of our lives it's necessary we never

stop learning and growing and developing

ourselves it's necessary that we never

give up we know that it's you it's me

it's being responsible to our stuff and

deciding that we're going to keep on

keeping on that we're going to find a

way to win or find a way to make it

happen and we know it's hard it's not

going to be a picnic yes it's hard it's

hard and we will do it hard

and once it's we do it hard when we go

through we realize it was worth it and

once you discover it was worth it it is

done well here's what I'm suggesting to

you that when you're working you have a

wall to break through and we've all had

experiences where we were working on

something and we knew it was possible

and we did those things that were

necessary to bring it into a reality

we took the responsibility to make it

happen although people couldn't see it a

lot of people didn't believe it you were

attacked you were criticized people were

opposing you but you kept on doing it it

was hard it was rough it was difficult

but to you it was worth it and

eventually you got to a level you know

can nothing stop me now I'm on the move

take ownership for your life nobody can

live your dream for you but you nobody's

gonna take care of your business like

you stop coming up with excuses don't

give yourself permission to continue to

live a small life you can't fit a big

dream into a small life give yourself

permission to go for it to test yourself

to challenge yourself to live fool like

the saying always strive to get on top

of life because it's the bottom that's

overcrowded the reason you're here is

because there's something in you that

says I can do more this just can't be it

there's something in you there's a

calling on your life because there's

something in you that tells you this is

not it for you you have not peaked here

there's more in you that you are

expressing is not seen here is not her

nor senator Manhart of mankind

what's in store for you if you challenge

yourself if you persist and persevere if

you take ownership for your life create

what you want you have the power you to

do the more than you can ever begin to

imagine to control your destiny to make

a difference in our children to make a

difference on the planet to make an

impact while the people are giving up

feeling like victims feeling powerless

becoming negative turning on each other

rather than to each other feeling that

they can't make it be here not conformed

to this world but be ye transformed by

the renewing of your mind with the mind

set off that it's possible that we can

save this generation it's possible that

we can create new industries a new

economy it's possible that I can find a

new profession a new job it's possible I

can create a new life and it's necessary

that I become actively involved in

becoming a positive force in my life and

on the planet and it's me yes it's you

it's all of us pulling together working

together to

create this brand-new future and it's

going to be hard easy is not our option

but if it's hard we will do it hard

whatever is required to snatch victory

from the jaws of defeat and it's worth

it yes it's worth whatever we have to do

and once we know that it is done it is

done
