Trey
Gowdy is leaving Congress but He just Received the Best News Of His Life
Trey Gowdy will not be running for re-election.
He has instead decided to make a return to the justice system.
Some people have begun to wonder if Gowdy might be able to obtain a more important title.
The title?
Supreme Court Justice.
In his statement, Gowdy explained "I will not be filing for re-election to Congress
nor seeking any other political or elected office.
(I)nstead I will be returning to the justice system.
Whatever skills I may have are better utilized in a courtroom than in Congress, and I enjoy
our justice system more than our political system."
The very same day that Gowdy made the announcement that he would be leaving Congress and politics
in general, a seat on the 4th Circuit Court of Appeals became vacant.
Judge Dennis W. Shedd serves in the Richmond, Virginia-based federal court.
Shedd took senior status on Wednesday, which means that he is leaving active service, but
he will still intervene in some cases.
The Daily Caller News Foundation reported that Shedd's seat is a part of South Carolina,
which may potentially allow President Donald Trump to personally nominate Trey Gowdy to
the court.
Gowdy spent timing serving as a state solicitor and a federal prosecutor prior to being elected
to Congress.
On top of that, people have been buzzing that Gowdy may possibly be a potential nominee
to the federal bench.
National Review Online's Dan McLaughlin reported that if Trey Gowdy is to become a
federal judge, he might just have a chance at being nominated to the Supreme Court eventually.
McLaughlin stated, "Don't be surprised if Gowdy is Trump's pick to replace Shedd
for a life-tenured position (and maybe an outside shot someday at the Supreme Court)."
Americans would love to see him there …

Gaza violence is a direct outgrowth of the Palestinian rejection of Israel - Duration: 0:58.
Already for 70 years the Palestinians have rejected Israel's right to be here
and the violence you see in Gaza today is a direct outgrowth of that rejection.
The Gaza violence is a direct outgrowth of Palestinian choices, not American choices or actions or Israeli actions.
It's a direct outgrowth of the Palestinian rejection of Israel and its right to be here.
It's a direct outgrowth of Hamas's determination to use and abuse its own population
as cover for its violence against Israel's citizens and as a battering ram, a human battering ram,
to break through Israel's fence and to storm the communities that live inside sovereign Israel.
Israel is not going to let that happen.
The headlines may focus on Israel but the real story here is the Palestinian choices, the choices made by Hamas.
Deliberate choices.
Cynical choices.
Tragic choices.
Violent Choices.
Choices made by Hamas. That's the story.

What Is The Difference Between Connections and Followers On LinkedIn - Duration: 7:00.
Hey there mark warncken hear from social media selling 1 2 3 dot com and
Chances are if you're watching this video you're interested in finding out. What is the difference between
Connections and followers on LinkedIn now this can get confusing for people
too many people's still are overly ofay and/or using LinkedIn that much and being a
Connection and being a follower that does provide confusing. So this is a great video update
now at the time of writing on this
LinkedIn have about
550
Connections or 550 million people worldwide who have profiles now
Yes, some of them are fake. But the vast majority of them are business people from all corners of the globe
Representing every profession possible who are saying hey, this is me. Hello come and find me. Let's open up the lines of communication
Let's do business together. Let's see what opportunities
flow from that
Now mistakingly most people believe that they're connected to all five hundred and fifty million people around the world, but that's not the case
So what comes into play now is how big do you want your linkedin network to be which will go a long way to determining
How much success you actually have on linkedin so LinkedIn have?
550 business people around the world who have created a profile and a saying hey, this is me
But the last step that I was able to find I think it was November
2017 so only a few months old the average number of connections per user
Was only 400 now given LinkedIn have over 550 million users
That might not seem very many
But this is where the power of first level second level and third level connections come in
So this is a snapshot of the current size of my network now
which you can see
Enables or I so it offers me
Amazing opportunities to reach out and find and one of the best ways that I like to describe LinkedIn is invisible
Has now become visible. So my network is I'm on LinkedIn its power connectors
My network first level connections are over 18 000
Remembering the average person only has around 400 but by virtue of having over
18,000 first level connections. My total network size is 50 million plus
Now LinkedIn used to give us these numbers, but they stopped giving us and I was able to work that out
By estimates from when they used to give it
So the power of LinkedIn e works this way myself here in Sydney
Can now find and connect with say Cathy in San Francisco, and we can become first level connections
by virtue of becoming first level connections
I then get access to her second and third level connections now an hour does get a little bit confusing
but by virtue of connecting with one person I
Then get the benefit of being able to message them directly and I'll show you how we do that
but by second virtue of that we also get access to
Other people in their network, and that's where invisible becomes
Visible and that's one of the great powers the great strengths of LinkedIn. So let's exit out of that and just
Go to my LinkedIn profile. So we're currently viewing my own LinkedIn profile
Seeing the top box here, so if I click on my network here we're going to go to my connections
It says I have over 18,000
492 first level connections
Clicking that button or it's going to then bring all of those people up in order of recent connection
I now get too messy to these people directly. So the last person connected only a few hours ago
Jody I'm able to read Jody's profile
I'm able to see whether there's an opportunity for us to reach out and connect with each other or so reach out and do business
By virtue of being a first-level connection. I
Am able to message Jody directly and say hey, let's open up the lines of communication
so the main benefit of being connected to someone on a linkedin is you get to
Engage with them send them a personal message and who who knows what business opportunities flow from there? So the difference between
connections and followers that to follow someone means
You can follow some without doing so your first level connection
You still get to see all of their posts on your timeline and updates and things like that
But you won't be able to send them a direct message
So if I'm going to go to this particular screen, and if I scroll down here to this button here manage your followers
So if you're connected to someone and you decide to I'm say unfollow them you still remain connected
But you won't see their updates appear on your newsfeed and they won't be notified that you've unfollowed them
So this person here?
Reggie's following me and if we have a look at our connection and level on LinkedIn, it won't give me the opportunity to
Send her a direct message because
We're following each other but a third-level connection. We're still only at the third level connection
Level now I have LinkedIn premium. It allows me to send what's called an InMail. That's a direct message and it's part of being the
Part of the premium service that I have now. I can click on the button over here
I can send a connection request I can unfollow
But at the moment this person Reggie in Virginia is only a third level connection
We are following each other, but we are not yet connected
so
the difference between
Connections and followers. I hope that it has been explained in a little bit more detail to you the power of LinkedIn
enables us to
Reach out find invisible business people around the world
Open up the lines of communications and from that we're able to move forward and see what business flows

What is Your Calling as a Worship Leader? - Duration: 5:14.
What is your calling as a worship leader, or your function or your role within your
music ministry? Well we're going to talk about all that and more right after this.
Hey this is Troy from WorshipAtmosphere.com and today I wanted to chat with
you for a few minutes about what is your calling as a worship leader? So I will
share with you my own personal experience. Way bac k when I first started,
my original title if you will was music minister. Pastor had referred to me as
music minister and I thought oh that sounds official, that sounds cool. A minister of
music, how delightful! How wonderful! And so I would choose the songs and
help Pastor set things up and and then lead people in worship. I began to study
worship leading and watch videos on YouTube of excellent worship leaders and
I began to realize that the title of music minister didn't really fit the
bill. And not that that we're seeking after titles but I was trying to
identify what is my purpose what is my calling specifically. Is it just to
pick music, because I I know music ministers who all they do is pick
music and then the band plays it. Or is it to just be a singer or is it just to
play an instrument? And I had to spend some time in prayer and seeking after
the Lord and trying to identify what resonated with my heart. what
direction did I feel the most led? I began to realize that I really enjoy
watching people connect with the Lord. When I when I start seeing people raise
their hands, when they start singing loudly, when they start just experiencing
the presence of God. Oh how wonderful! It's then then I began to realize that I
wanted to be a worship leader to lead people into the presence of God Almighty,
the one who created all things, the one who died on Calvary and paid a debt that
I could not pay a debt that he did not owe. To lead people into his presence. No
greater thing! I was a worship leader. So my question to you: "what resonates
within your heart and soul?" Maybe your joy is crafting an awesome song set.
Maybe that gets you excited. Maybe it's just being a singer and singing with the
choir and praising God with his people. Maybe that gets you excited. Maybe that
gets you fired up. Or maybe it's just playing an instrument, doing an awesome
job on the bass or are the drums. so critical! And so much of a blessing to
the music. Maybe that's your calling. So my encouragement to you is to spend time
seeking after the Lord and being sensitive. Being honest with
yourself; what resonates with you? What part of the music ministry gets you the
most excited? Or do you cringe when someone says "hey can you put together
the music for Wednesday?" "I guess I can!" Maybe that's not your calling. Maybe
that's not the best function for you. And it's not about position. iI's not about
status. It's it's not like the main worship leader singer is any more
important or any better than the drummer or the bass player in the back. It is all
about glorifying God and leading his people into his presence. That's what is
important. Not function or role; it doesn't matter. We are all equals in the
kingdom of God. So don't worry about what someone may say or think about your
particular calling. What is it that God Almighty has asked you to do in your
music ministry at your church? Clear away the titles that we give to each other.
Put it all away! What has God asked you to do? What resonates with your soul, with
your heart? That my friend is your calling! So what is your calling? Let me
know down in the comments below. And it is not a "pray one time" boom you have the
answer. If you do, great that's awesome. It took me a while to figure it out. It
may take you a little bit of time. Just be patient; let the Lord work in your
life. But when you have your answer I'd love to know what your
calling is. Let me know down in the comments below. iI you found this video helpful or
encouraging in any way, please give me a thumb s up and remember to subscribe to
the channel. And of course, visit WorshipAtmosphere.com,
get on the mailing list so you can get weekly encouragement.
Thanks so much for your time and attention.
We'll see you inside my next video. Take care. God Bless!
