Las Vegas shooter's 'associate' is an Australian casino worker - Duration: 1:58.

Las Vegas shooter's 'associate' is an Australian casino worker

The associate of the Nevada man believed responsible for the deadly Las Vegas massacre is an Australian citizen who worked in the casino industry.

Marilou Danley, 62, lived on the Gold Coast for more than a decade but most recently resided with alleged shooter Stephen Paddock in a retirement community in Mesquite, Nevada, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.

Danley's LinkedIn profile, which has since been deactivated, said she was a "gambling and casino professional" who lived in Reno, Nevada. She also worked as a "hostess" for the Atlantis Casino Resort Spa between 2010 and 2013.

Danley initially was named a person of interest.

Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said they located her "out of the country" and that she wasn't with Paddock when he checked into the Mandalay Bay hotel, where police say he squeezed off shots from a 32nd-floor room for several minutes into the crowd at the Route 91 Harvest festival concert.

Danley has been questioned and cleared of any involvement in the deadliest mass shooting in US history. She has been described in some news reports as Paddocks girlfriend, though their exact relationship was unclear.

Culture is treatment and prevention - Duration: 7:01.

My name is Harlan Pruden. I am First Nations Cree. Syndemics is that

perfect storm where there's interlocking and interrelated social as well as

health issues that are impacting. And when I looked at the syndemics, I became

like really kind of hopeful, in that we have to start looking at the context in

which the disease is happening, or how the context is allowing the spread of

the disease. And the context is like a— what I'm saying is an overall

picture right — and so what I was also talking about is our interventions

cannot just be singly in focus right. So you can't just talk about homelessness,

without talking about education and employment and addictions.

Nor can you talk about addictions without talking about

employment, education housing security or insecurity as well as other things. And

so it's this addressing and looking at kind of like a holistic approach. And so

we've been hearing concepts from speakers, like this morning at the

plenary, of talking about peer-based or peer-driven services. And I know that

there is historical trauma-informed care, is also doing this

holistic kind of approach, that you're not triggering. But it's the

entire context that we're in so it's like it's this overall theme of looking

at the context. And what it makes very hopeful is that we

can start a way of talking about and a framework of addressing those big huge

issues of racism and systemic and institutional racism that exists for

many people of color, and particularly in Canada for the Aboriginal and First

Nations, Indigenous and Métis. Racism was well alive right. Or the big issues around

colonization for us as native people, in that that's the context, and once we

start looking at the healing around that is then I think that we're actually

getting more at the question of addressing social determinants of health.

But it's that syndemics, so it's not just one thing and it's also

this acknowledgement that everything is interconnected. And as a native

person you know we we we know that everything is connected and because

we're whole people and so that's what I'm like really hopeful around this

conversation because it's not like just looking at one thing it's looking at

everything . Which makes it incredibly challenging. But syndemics and that

research and discussion is the opening up of that and so I'm very hopeful around that.

Culture is treatment and culture is prevention,

you know, and that again it goes back to that larger framework that anything that

instills greater cultural pride increases self-esteem. When you have an

increased self-esteem better decision-making processes happen and

it's a holistic approach to health and well-being.

And so that's a new sort of sort of like we're actually articulating it that

culture is prevention and culture is treatment. And that's where I'm focusing

my attention on. But again it's difficult because those folks that are

disconnected, that are internalized their living and breathing— what I would

say is internalized colonization—and are so dislocated from their from their ways

right, by the choice or by stigma or because they're on what we would say is

the Black Road you know. They're coping the best way that they know and that

often is through drugs and alcohol. And I think what we just have to do is stay

the course continue on doing it because I know that once people said that

so bring up looking at those issues they find it back to the Red Road. And

I think that what I consistently do is drop little tobacco and pray for

those people, that are on that journey and on that that road, that that one day

that they can find the Red Road, and once they find the Red Road that

there is programming and spaces for them to say, "come and celebrate your Indianess,"

"come and celebrate your two-spiritness," and that there is that support there for them

I'm Margaret Robinson, I'm a researcher in residence at the Ontario

HIV Treatment Network, and my focus is on Aboriginal health. What they found in BC

is that when there were particular elements present in an Indigenous

culture—like self government for instance, or control over police, fire

department, health services, people speaking their Indigenous language—that

suicide rates just plummeted. They identified a number of key markers,

and if these things are present in the community then they have very little

suicide, in part because it enables young people and other people as well, to

imagine a future for themselves as an Indigenous person in the community they

live in. If as the study suggests, that having strong Indigenous communities

keeps people healthy and lowers rates of diabetes, lowers rates of suicide, lowers

people's issues with mental health or substance use, then I think we need to be

investing in strong Indigenous communities, we need to be helping people

get access to their culture, and helping people stay connected with it. Because

not only is it the right thing to do, and it helps create healthier people, but

it's actually cheaper in the long run to keep people healthy than it is to treat people who are sick.

I was lead on the Two-Spirit roundtable which examined

mental health and substance use among Two-Spirit people in Timmins and in

Ottawa. And we interviewed people there in a round circle, and it was amazing

when people started talking about the impact that cultural connection and

tradition and involvement in ceremony had had on their lives. It changed the way

that they felt about their own mental health and well-being it, changed the way

that they dealt with stigma, and helped them move through trauma and grief, and

all those issues of violence that we face as Indigenous people in our daily lives.

Chandra Nandini Spoilers: Who is Vishaka? What Is Her Motive? How Will Nandini Expose Her? - Duration: 3:57.

Chandra Nandini Spoilers: Who is Vishaka? What Is Her Motive? How Will Nandini Expose Her?

In the serial Chandra Nandini, everything seems to be going against Nandini.

All situations, twists just seem to be separating her and Chandra.

Besides, the entry of Vishaka is further creating problems as she can easily handle Bindusar.

However, as per Chandra Nandini spoilers, Vishaka is a con and has entered the palace with an intention to end the life of Chandragupta Maurya.

Vishaka Is a Vishkanya Sent By Padmanand.

Vishaka is not a real princess.

The real princess has been kidnapped by Padmanand.

The one in the palace is an imposter.

She, in fact, is a vishkanya and has been sent in the palace with a motive to kill Chandragupta Maurya.

Though Nandini has doubts on her, she doesn't know her reality.

The way she has control over Bindusar and has won hearts within a short span of time is making Nandini think.

Chanakya Has Warned Nandini Too.

Chanakya who is acting to be a foe of Chandragupta Maurya have already warned Nandini.

She knows there is somebody in the mahal who wants to kill Chandragupta Maurya at any cost.

While, she has little clue know, she will soon connect the dots to find her reality.

Besides, this time now that Chanakya too knows Nandini's moves and intentions, we are sure, she won't fall in anybody's trap.

After all, she even stopped the Yodha that Chanakya had to bring to win Padmanand's trust.

Chandra Nandini Spoilers: Moora Will Arrange Chandra Visakha Marriage.

We have seen how Apama is making strategy to use Vishakha for their use.

She and Helena in turn will convince Moora to get Chandragupta married to Vishakha.

The marriage will be declared.

However, at the right time, Chanakya would know through Gautami about that the real Vishaka and her imposter.

We assume he would inform Nandini about this who would then not only save Chandragupta Maurya but also expose Vishakha before she marries her Chandra.

Hope this would clear many things.

Quick thoughts on... - Context is for Kings (Discovery episode 3) - review - Duration: 8:29.

Hello my beautiful watchers and welcome to another video from my series "Quick thoughts

on..." in which I talk briefly about the next episode

of Star Trek Discovery.

As I promised before, unlike my videos I do about episodes of Star

Trek, Star Trek The Next Generation and Star Trek

The Animated Series, my videos about Discovery will be much shorter and mostly spoiler-free.

Now this is episode 3, called, "Context is for Kings".

I wonder why I have pewdiepie flashbacks.

If you have seen my previous two videos I did about this series, which is available

on CBS All Access in the USA, on cable TV in Canada and on Netflix

everywhere else, you know that to say it politely I didn't like them.

Some people would say I hated them, but that's not very precise, I didn't have

ANY emotional reaction to anything from those episodes, except the Klingons.

I HATE what they have done with my favourite alien race.

This third episode is a huge improvement for me, because for the

first time I felt something really positive.

And it was in the first scene, where Michael and a few

other criminals are in a shuttle, without any specific details I can say just that the

process how they got to the Discovery was pretty interesting,

actually almost exciting.

But my positive reactions went down immediately after we moved to the Discovery.

First, let me talk a bit about the crew of the Discovery.

Short version - everybody is an asshole.

I thought "Three episodes in, and I haven't seen a character which I could

like.

That must be a record."

But that has changed today.

Yes, during the first episode we met Saru, who was kind of interesting, and during the

third episode we meet Cadet Tilly, who is actually the only

truly likeable character on the show so far.

There is a female security officer.

She's a bitch.

Really, how could people like her get to Starfleet?

We have seen different security officers on different shows, both male and female, both

black and white, but this is the first time I have met a security

officer who I honestly want to shout SHUT UP every time

she speaks.

The arrogance meter readings are out of scale with this one.

The good thing is we meet Saru again, he is this time the first officer of the Discovery.

But he's also a dick.

At least at the beginning, in the end of the episode it looks like he will become a bit

likeable.

Then there is Captain Lorca.

What can I say about him?

The actor said in an interview something like (I'm paraphrasing) "Captain Lorca is

a bit fucked up in the head".

I would not say it better myself.

Another character I can't like.

I have to talk a bit about the white guy.

He's a mushroom scientist or some shit, and he's the worst

actor I have seen in many, many years.

Every single time he tries to show a human emotion, his face

starts to do weird grimaces, and it looks like his face will literally explode.

When I've seen it for the first time I thought it was really funny,

but because he was doing it all the time, I started to feel

pretty bad, I mean I started to feel like I'm making fun of a mentally handicapped person.

Or is he an alien who pretends he is a human actor

and he desperately tries to mimic human emotions?

No clue.

Oh and why do they fill the screen with C++ code and pretend it's some scientific data?

But then there is Cadet Tilly.

And congratulations, writers, you managed to create a likeable character,

who actually feels and behaves like a human!

Hooray!

But don't get me wrong, the writing still sucks.

The worst bit is the dialogue, I mean we have the "privilege" to hear such brilliant lines

like "You are one of my best friends" "we know

each other since school", or "I didn't come here to make friends".

You know, cliché lines which only really bad writers use?

And there is one huge action sequence.

Oh yes, the action sequence.

I am sorry but I have to talk a bit about it, it was the funniest thing

I have seen in a long time.

I mean they rip off Alien.

Yes, they are on a spaceship, running through corridors and they are hunted by a monster,

and the monster is Pinky!

From Doom 3.

And my favourite scene so far, Michael on all 4 running through

a Jeffries tube, while being chased by Doom's Pinky demon,

and she's loudly reciting passages from I guess Alice in Wonderland.

I would really love to know what drugs are the writers on, because a sane

person could never write something like that.

I mean it was absolutely hilarious, but I have a feeling

it was supposed to be scary.

Overall, we have finally seen the Discovery and its crew, and I have finally seen a character,

which I actually like.

What a success, right?

I was laughing through most of the episode, even

through all of the death scenes.

But the problem is I think they were trying to create something

scary.

So the opening credits still suck, I'm not going to repeat it in every video, the writing

is horrible, the acting is in some cases OK,

in other cases horrible, but as I said, I watched the whole

thing without feeling the need to check my email, and I was laughing for like 95% of

the episode.

So, I would give this episode 5 / 10.

It's clearly an improvement, but I still can't understand how

the writers got their jobs.

So, that's all I'm going to say for this episode, if you enjoyed my brief

spoiler-less review feel free to hit that thumbs up button, if you like what I do on

this channel check my other videos, you should see some links

to some playlists on screen right now, and see you next monday

when I'll talk a bit about the next episode of Star Trek Discovery, or check this channel

later this week for my videos about the next episodes of Star

Trek and Star Trek: The Next Generation.

Until then, thanks a lot for watching and bye.

A quick PS - I started to watch the Orville.

I LOVE the show.

Wish I could say that about Star Trek.

What is NYLT: Why YOU Should Go There - Duration: 7:26.

Hey guys welcome to Scoutr My name is Michael Saye I'm the host for this show and today

we're going to be talking about this program that I did in 2016 called National Youth Leadership Training some people refer to it as in

NYLT

In this video I'm going to be trying to-

I'm going to show you the advantages

I'm going to show you the disadvantages, and I'm going to try and convince you to go and

Make your troop better by sending you to in NYLT. Let's get into...

NYLT is an exciting, action-packed

leadership training for American scouts in loyalties purpose is to give Scouts

Leadership skills and to give them things that they can take home to their home troops and other leadership

requiring activities so that they can lead

NYLT centers around the idea of what a leader should BE, KNOW, and DO and then it teaches you HOW TO

Do different leadership things based on those three concepts.

As the patrols in NYLT go through the course they start to learn better leadership skills make new friends

It's a really great experience, I think. When I went there I had a ton of fun. Like, at the beginning,

It was a little awkward because you just kind of get thrust into a patrol of people you don't know

But trust me you if you're antisocial and that doesn't sound good to you

By the end of NYLT you will be singing along to all the songs, talking with all the patrol members

They'll now be your

Bleh-

Then I'll be your BFF

So go to NYLT,

Because it's fun.

so NYLT is a 6 day course and basically what you do is you

Sign up online, and then you go to the camp, which for me It was at Camp Nash

I don't actually know where that is, but it was at Camp Naish, Theodore Naish, and

They kind of dropped-

My parents dropped me off at the parking lot in the, camp Naish

And I got a whole bunch of different merchandise. I got a couple shirts,

I got a hat, which is pretty sweet, and I got a book here

We've got a hat from NYLT, a shirt

from NYLT I was in the blue group so I got blue and then

One of the dopest things about this book right here

NYLT Book is the fact that it's got camp songs in the back of it

Those are pretty dope

And then after you're done with that you go, and you

meet your patrol members which

Doesn't take up a lot of time because I mean how long does it take to meet somebody?

And you just kind of go from say

Yo

And then they're like yo, and you're just like

Bye

But in all seriousness you meet your patrol members

and then you bring all your stuff because you have to bring luggage obviously and

You get taken to your campsite, and there's this thing in NYLT,

I don't remember exactly what's called, it's been like a year, but we have a leader sort of he's not the main leader

But he's the leader of our Patrol. He's an older dude. I think for us he was about maybe

17 or 18 and

Basically he took us to our campsites. We got assigned tent partners. I was with this dude. I forgot his name

But yeah, we all called him BG, and that's the thing in loyalty

My Patrol none of us called us by our regular names we went by nicknames so we had Ferb, Baljeet, we had

BG which stands for bodyguard by the way we had

Hmm, I think we had Druggy

So mostly, my NYTL

Experience is a little fuzzy, but I do remember most of the classes that we did because they were extremely meaningful

I remember all the people there

I don't necessarily remember all there nicknames or their names because I'm not a name person

I kind of go for faces more than names since NYLT

I've seen some of my tent mates at least five times and even if you're antisocial

You it's very hard to say that that's a bad thing if you're curious about what the classes are like they're

Really, not nearly as bad as you think they are

When you think of classes you might be thinking of like school classes

but there are a lot of fun and

the lessons that they teach are actually meaningful

The next thing is the meals. Now if you're familiar with Bartle or

if you've been to Naish before

The meals are worse, okay. The meals at NYLT aren't very good, so bring snacks

Lots of snacks

Bring snacks, I warned you guys in that last video about scouting 500 nobody listen

Bring snacks, meals are fun

They're very fun because I mean when you first start out

they're not as fun because you're kind of nervous and

Still in your shell. You got to break out of your shell at NYLT

Because they're gonna force you to break out of your shell at NYLT if you're a leader

You're not a follower. You don't stand in the crowd and be a crowd

During meals you do a lot of singing

Which sounds horrible if you're antisocial if you don't like singing

Go to NYLT and you'll love singing because

They make you sing at NYLT

Sort of I mean they they don't make you sing

but you're gonna want to sing by the end of it, but for me and my friend Jerry, but actually me my friend Jerry and

two kids from my troop named

Patrick and

Charles who are brothers

Us four all went in the same group

We were all put in different patrols, which makes sense and we hardly talked to each other actually now that

I think back on it. We didn't talk very much because we were mostly focused in our

little single patrols

Thank you guys so much for watching like so much for watching

And go check out some of my other videos if you haven't

Shared this video sure some of my other videos after you go watch my other videos because they're all awesome

Hmm

If you like this video, like this video, give it an upvote give it a like whatever you want call it

don't give it a down vote cuz that'll make me sad and

yeah, show this video with your friends already said that subscribe to my youtube channel and

Go to NYLT because it'll be awesome, and it'll be awesome mmm some more awesome and dopest

Subscribe
