Waching daily Jan 3 2019

Have you ever waited in line for hours at the state-run DMV?

Or wanted to pull your hair out at the government-operated Post Office?

Well if some members of Congress have it their way, government red tape and lackluster customer

service would also extend to health care.

Government run health care has recently been repackaged as Medicare for All and is a big

move away from free market competition.

As a result, the quality of service will likely drop and taxes will skyrocket.

Many medical professionals have also indicated they won't participate in a government-run

health care system—so you may not be able to keep your existing doctor.

In practice, this could mean waiting hours for much needed medical care or up to a year

for surgery—a major problem for time sensitive procedures.

The price tag of Medicare for All is also jaw-dropping.

Instituting the program is estimated to cost over $3 trillion per year.

That's more than the U.S. government spent on the military, healthcare, social security

and other entitlement benefits combined in 2015.

Inevitably, that additional financial burden would fall onto the American taxpayer—slowing

economic growth and stifling business expansion.

Medicare for All may sound good in a campaign stump speech, but putting the idea into practice

is risky and comes down to one question: How do we pay for it?

Football fans mock Man City for 'embarrassing' scenes before kick-off vs Liverpool - Duration: 2:47.

For weeks, football fans have been looking to Manchester City vs Liverpool as a match that could decide the Premier League title

We may only just have entered January but the clash at Etihad was being billed as a potential title-decider

While that may not be strictly true, there's no doubt a positive result could give either side the momentum to go on and win the Premier League this season

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool went into the match six points clear at the top, seven points ahead of Pep Guardiola's City

Many fans suggested that another win for the visitors could be a massive step towards their first Premier League title

But a City win and the title race is well and truly on.  All in all, it was a massive match

As a result, City attempted to generate a bit of atmosphere before kick-off.  That began when the City players got off the team coach when they arrived at the Etihad

The club employed an announcer to call out each players' name when they stepped off the bus and demanded that they "make some noise

" MAN CITY TRY TO GENERATE ATMOSPHERE  However, it didn't quite have the desired effect and it just sounded a bit rubbish really

Almost all of the players just kept their headphones in and the City fans couldn't even be heard

FOOTBALL FANS MOCK CITY  And football fans were quick to mock City for their attempt to generate some noise

Check out the reaction on social media:  Oh dear.  Of course, there's a bit of history when it comes to coach greetings before matches between these two sides

Ahead of the Champions League quarter-final tie between Liverpool and City last season at Anfield, the City bus was bombarded with smoke flares and bottles

It was something that infuriated Guardiola and clearly rattled his side, as they found themselves 3-0 down after just 31 minutes

Is 2019 the year for your new business? - Duration: 2:29.

2019 will bring lots of new opportunities.

Not just the chance to visit a new place to eat.

But maybe own a restaurant or other business of your own.

The Small Business Administration estimates an yearly average of

627-thousand new businesses starting every year.

Starting one is a popular new year's resolution.

And the jump in interest is something

the Small Business Development Center at UTRGV

sees at the start of each year.

We do tend to see an increase around mid-January,

late January and then it just holds up the entire spring.

S-B-D-C is one of the organizations

that can help aspiring business owners.

They could come to training workshops,

They could get some research and more importantly,

they can meet with an advisor, one-on-one, confidential

and at no cost to them,

so they can determine, you know,

what stage of development they are in their business.

Don't be discouraged if you don't know what research is needed

or you don't know what the stages of development are.

Just come to the center.

We'll see your idea, and we'll run it to see if it's a viable idea.

That's Samuel Vallejo Hernandez,

the program coordinator at the UTRGV Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center,

another organization that can help prospective business owners.

Of course, you're going to need money in a certain time for your business timeline.

But that doesn't mean you can't start working on the intellectual aspect of it.

Both organizations emphasized the importance of proper planning

and hope people ignore misconceptions about starting a new business.

One of those myths is

I need to have $20,000 in my account to start my business.

You could have that money, start your business

and by the end of the week, crash it down

if you don't have the right preparation for it.

Both centers assist current business owners as well aspiring owners.

While most of the services at SBDC are free,

the Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center has a membership fee

which covers amenities like work space, printers, and a business mailbox.

The university also recently opened

the UTRGV Center of Innovation and Commercialization in Weslaco

to help entrepreneurs and startup companies.

I would just really encourage the whole community

to reach out to the Entrepreneurship and Commercialization Center,

as well as all the other organizations that are here for you.

Use us.

We are here for you.

Your success is our success.

Information about each of these centers

is available at U-T-R-G-V dot E-D-U.

Deep Blue for Headaches — Taking Care of Persistent Headaches - Duration: 3:43.

How do you use Deep Blue for headaches?

Well in this video I'll be sharing my best tips on how to apply Deep Blue for headaches as well as what to do if

if you have a very persistent headache that doesn't want to go away. Coming up!

Hey, what's up? Melinda here as The Oil Coach bringing you tips, tricks, and ideas for using your essential oils

so you can live healthier, happier lives

So if you're new here consider subscribing and hey at any time during the video

feel free to check out show notes and links in the description below where I will share some additional helpful resources

Now let's jump into the video

Okay so first of all, how do you apply Deep Blue for headaches?

So that is a great question, and it will vary based on where you're experiencing your headache

So a lot of times if I get a headache it will be at the base of my skull and also come from tight shoulder

and neck muscles

so in this instance

You would want to apply two to three drops of the Deep Blue directly in those areas

Now if you're struggling with a headache in a different part of your head, maybe your temples or your forehead, etc

Then just apply the Deep Blue exactly to that area

Now especially if you're applying the oil to your forehead or temples be careful not to get it too close to your eyes as that will

not be too comfortable. But a quick tip here if you ever get the oil too close to your eye, no problem

Just grab a carrier oil such as a coconut oil

I have here fractionated coconut oil

or you can do olive oil whatever you have on hand and rub a little bit over the top of your eyelid or

wherever it is that's uncomfortable and that will take the discomfort away very quickly. I'm speaking from experience here.

so Deep Blue is awesome for headaches

but one thing you'll want to keep in mind when using it for headaches is "less is best more often"

So if you have a very persistent headache, that just doesn't want to go away

Try doing what we like to refer to as "the dose" when using essential oils. The dose is two to three drops of oils

every five minutes for three applications

Okay, then you wait fifteen to thirty minutes and if it's still there try doing the dose again, okay

So that's applying two to three drops of oil

wait five minutes apply two to three drops again

wait five minutes apply it again and then give it a break for about fifteen to thirty minutes

And if you're still struggling with your headache try doing that same dose again

Another great tip for a very persistent headache is to try layering different oils on top of the Deep Blue

that are good for headaches as well

so for instance

You might try applying one to two drops of the Deep Blue first

and then applying one to two drops of

Frankincense and then one to two drops of Peppermint on top of that

So there are quite a few different oils that help with headaches for different people. Everyone's bodies are different

So you just have to find what works best for your specific body and that may be using only Deep Blue oil blend by itself

or it may be an entirely different oil for headaches such as the PastTense blend or it may be layering several different oils that

works best for you. Okay, you just got to find what works best for your body

And then the last tip I have for you today is to be sure and catch the headache early if you catch the headache in the

beginning stages and start applying your oils then you have a much higher chance of getting rid of the headache quickly

Alright I hope you got some great value out of this video

and that you'll find awesome benefits from using your Deep Blue essential oil for headaches

and actually if you're brand new to essential oils

Jurgen Klopp warns Liverpool stars to be ready for Manchester City - Duration: 4:06.

Jurgen Klopp demanded his Liverpool players be "greedy and full of desire" as they look to make the biggest statement of the season in the campaign's defining game

Liverpool travel to Manchester City tomorrow night with a six-point lead at the top of the table and they could stretch their advantage over Pep Guardiola's squad to 10 points if they win at the Etihad Stadium

Klopp should land the Premier League's manager of the month award for December after leading his team to seven consecutive victories and he does not want their intensity to drop, as he feels Liverpool will be underdogs in the game

With no new injury worries troubling his preparations, Klopp said: It's a normal game against Manchester City, a very difficult one - one of the most difficult ones you can play in the modern football world, away at City

We felt that plenty of times.'It's a really strong football team with an outstanding manager

We have to be prepared as good as possible, we have to be brave, full of desire, angry - all that stuff, like in all the other games

But the opponent, for me, is still the best team in the world.'And I don't say that to say it, I said it weeks ago

It's 100 percent my opinion because the way they play, the things they achieved, the ability and all that stuff

Nothing changed. Only the points changed, but not the preparation for the game.' Klopp, meanwhile, has paid tribute to Kevin de Bruyne, saying: We can't

We cannot really specially prepare for Kevin de Bruyne. He's just outstanding player so if he plays together with Fernandinho and KdB David Silva, that's probably the three midfielders who played most of the time in the title winning season

'Missing a player like KdB is a massive blow. Unbelievable human and now he played only from time to time, directly unbelievable influential immediately

'Scored fantastic goals. All that things. He's just a world world class player. I expected actually that he's playing

I, happy that he's not seriously injured again. I said that before. I was really happy when he was back

Love the player. Everybody who loves football must love KdB. He looks like a really humble person

Outstanding player on the pitch leader and all that stuff. 'It would make a difference but on the other side since he was out, and Pep said himself once, he thinks the football they played this season is better than the football they played last season

It's more flexible. Different things on the pitch. 'Bernardo Silva played an unbelievable season

Gundogan played brilliant. That's all only to see the midfielders who could replace KdB

So they have a lot of options and obviously if he would play that would give them a massive boost, yeah

Grinning Nancy Pelosi is confirmed as Speaker for the second time - Duration: 22:22.

Speaker Nancy Pelosi returned to power on Thursday and marked a new chapter in President Donald Trump's tenure in Washington as he faces a Democratic Party on a collusion course with his administration

Grinning broadly and holding up the speaker's gavel, Pelosi leads a party with power to subpoena Trump officials, investigate him, and block his legislative agenda

She did not mention Trump by name but she called for civility among the parties as they disagree and ask for the truth to be respected - a subtle dig at a president who is accused of name calling and lying about his record

'Let each of us pledge that when we disagree, we will respect each other and we will respect the truth,' Pelosi said

'Transparency will be the order of the day,' she added. She also didn't mention the partial government shutdown that clouded her ascension to power

Democrats and the White House are at an impasse over funding Trump's $5 billion border wall

The wall got no mention but she did talk about an issue important to Democrats - protecting the children brought to the U

S. illegally by their parents. 'And we will make America more American by protecting our patriotic, courageous Dreamers!,' she said

At the end of her remarks, Pelosi was caught on mic wondering if she missed some of her speech

'I think I skipped a couple pages. I'm not sure,' she said.   Pelosi invited her grandchildren and the children of any other lawmaker to join her at the dais when she took the oath of office

About 50 kids ran the podium to join her as Republican Rep. Don Young, the dean of the House, administered the oath of office

'I now call the House to order on behalf on all of America's children,' Pelosi said after she was sworn in as speaker

She then offered to let the children return to the parents before she administered the oath of office to the rest of the House

'No,' she laughed when the parents rejected her offer. She asked the lawmakers to stand and raise their hands

After she read the oath she told them: 'Congratulations. You are all now members of the 116th Congress

'Pelosi was officially elected Speaker of the House in a roll that vote that saw the woman who became the first speaker in 2007 ascend to the job again

'I am particularly proud to be the woman Speaker of the House of this Congress, which marks 100 years of women winning the right to vote, as we serve with more than 100 women in the House of Representatives – the highest number in history,' Pelosi said

House Republican leader Kevin McCarthy handed her the gavel, marking the end of eight years of GOP power in the House

'The country knows Nancy Pelosi as an experienced politician with three decades of service in Congress

A fighter for her cause. And a trailblazer,' he said. 'Even when we disagree with one another completely -- it is important to remember that we are bonded together in a common cause

Our love for America.'After being formally elected, Pelosi strode down the House aisle in triumph to take the gavel from Republicans

California Democrats serenaded her after her win, singing 'California Here We Come

' 'Having received a majority of the votes passed, Nancy Pelosi is elected speaker of the House,' House clerk Karen Haas announced

Democrats gave her a standing ovation, cheering and whopping on the House floor. A couple of Pelosi's grandkids ran to hug her

Other lawmakers gave her hugs and kissed her cheek.  Democrats cheered her from the start of the session, which began with her nomination

'House Democrats are down with NDP,' Democratic Rep. Hakeem Jeffries said of Nancy D'Alesandro Pelosi as he nominated her to the job

'Nancy Pelosi is just getting started.'He said of the longtime lawmaker: 'Nancy Pelosi is a woman of faith, a loving wife, a mother of 5, a grandmother of 9, a sophisticated strategist, a legendary legislator, a voice for the voiceless, a defender of the disenfranchised

'The roll call vote began shortly after 1 p.m. with the Clerk of the House calling out each member in alphabetical order

Pelosi sat on the edge of her seat at times, smiling broadly as Democrats called out her name

She would swivel her head around the room to watch as the votes racked up in her favor
