Home Remedies for Oral Cancer.

Oral cancer, also called mouth cancer, is more common in men than women.

It usually starts at the lower pallet and the tongue.

It spreads quickly to other areas of the mouth, including the gums, salivary glands, inner

cheeks, throat, tonsils and even the esophagus.

Without proper care and treatment, the cancerous cells can spread to the neck, head and the

other parts of the body.

Best Home Remedies For Oral Cancer . Eating leafy vegetables.

The American Institute for Cancer Research recommends patients to increase consumption

of cancer fighting foods like leafy green vegetables and cruciferous vegetables (like

cabbage).

These foods reduce the size of tumors and prevent them from spreading and recurring,

thanks to their potent anticancer properties.

Green tea.

Green tea is loaded with antioxidants that help flush out free radicals and other harmful

organisms from the body.

These are the organisms that can trigger oral cancer or aggravate its symptoms.

Drinking green tea within limits (two cups) daily can help reduce the symptoms of oral

cancer and prevent recurrences.

Raspberries.

Oral cancer can be treated effectively by drinking a cup of raspberry juice every day

over the duration of treatment.

Fresh raspberry juice is preferable vis-à-vis packaged drinks, since the preservatives in

the latter can prove counterproductive.

Tomatoes.

Tomatoes are very effective in treating oral cancer mainly due to lycopene, which gives

it the red colour.

Lycopene acts as an antioxidant and frees the body of harmful free radicals.

The Vitamin C in tomatoes also helps to prevent skin cell damage which can also lead to oral

cancer.

Avocados.

Avocados are rich in vitamins C and E which help treat oral cancer by eliminating pre-cancerous

cells in the mouth.

If left untreated, the cancer cells can multiple rapidly and spread to other areas of the mouth.

Drumsticks.

The leaves of the drumstick plant are known to treat oral cancer effectively.

The leaves need to be dried and powdered.

Add a teaspoon of the powder to a cup of boiling water.

Drink it regularly over the treatment period.

5-2-1-0 For Healthy Kids - Duration: 1:33.

> Please take us through these numbers and what may actually mean for healthy eating.

> Yes. So if you're looking at how can I be healthy with, you know, ... how can

I instill healthy behaviors in my child

you can aim for these four numbers.

So the first one is five: Five or more

servings of fruits and veggies per day which we talked about the plate, half the

plate being fruits and veggies.

So if you want to put a number to it it's at least

five servings or more of fruits and vegetables every day and this is your

real fruits and veggies.

Now number two: No more than two hours of screen time

per day.

So this is for non school-related sometimes kids in school

have to do homework on the computer but this is any type of screen from an iPad,

to cell phone use, or TV.

So no more than two hours per day and by limiting the

two hours per day that gives them time for number one which is an hour of

physical activity minimum per day.

So we want the kids moving more, and last

but not least zero sugary drinks which would also include you know the juice,

the sodas, any type of beverage that has sugar, whether it's honey like a natural

source of sugar sugar sugar.

So we want to limit that to zero sugary drinks per

day.

So 5 210 are your magic 4 numbers to remember to get your kids involved,

you know, it's a fun campaign that about healthy just being healthy.

Healthy Protein Sources for Kids - Duration: 2:21.

> You know other sources of protein though that you can add to your your kids lunch

box what are those. > Yes so when we talk about protein you often maybe think

animal products and then when we talk about lunchbox we think about that

process meat. So if you notice my examples I didn't bring any process you

eat whether it's the ham or the chicken or turkey and that's because right now

they're really not recommended in general not just for kids any type of

process me is listed as a as a carcinogen by the World Health

Organization. So that came out a couple years ago. So instead of talking about

you know what we can't have right, what are the other protein options or what we

should be limiting when I talked about the process meats you know if you're

doing that ham sandwich every day try to alternate it maybe with some of these

options. So the peanut butter, as long as the school is not a peanut free school,

-- right-- is a great simple solution. We also have cheese, we can't forget about cheese.

A grilled cheese or a quesadilla take it up with another notch of a veggie

quesadilla you can really you know start to make

these simple things you can even make them the night before it could be from

leftover dinner, and speaking of leftover dinner maybe

some of that chicken you just easily shred it up you know there's so many

different recipes and you can make a chicken sandwich with your leftovers

from the night before. > All right that's really perfect okay and

you know you mentioned that the cheese and we already have the yogurt out there

also helps with meeting a dairy requirement -- of course -- Right. > Yes yeah so

the dairy from your milk cheese and yogurt I also don't have an actual

example of milk but you can have your child if you give them you know 50 cents

or a dollar they can buy the milk carton even if they're packing their lunch. So

they can buy some fresh milk at school, milk cheese and yogurt do have protein

as well. So we have to keep that in mind, a Greek yogurt has double the amount of

protein compared to a regular yogurt. This is an example of a plain yogurt. Now

the advice I'd like to give to parents you may not be a fan of plain yogurt but

it doesn't mean your child may not be. They're younger they have you know

cleaner palates we can think so just because you don't like it don't think

your child don't like it, you know if they like that plain Greek yogurt it's a

great source of protein you can also freeze the yogurt the night before and

it adds to it can be part of like you know we talked about insulating with the

ice shacks it's almost like an ice pack within the

the lunch box to.

Tips for a Healthy Lunchbox - Duration: 1:40.

> What is the most important thing kids should take to school with them. That

lose that from a registered dietitians point of view what would that be besides

the healthy lunch that you're gonna pack for them?> Right. > Well besides a healthy

lunch and the lunch alone maybe a mission to pack so let's not forget what

else could go with the lunch which is water. So we're here talking about food

but as healthy hydration don't forget to pack that water bottle that they can be

refilling throughout the day, and also maybe even an after-school snack. So we

forget that kids they're smaller they have smaller stomachs which means that

they may get hungry more frequent. So sometimes lunch is really early it's

like at 10:30 a.m. 11:00 a.m. Right. So within three to four hours they may be

hungry. So something very simple, we'll talk about some examples it could just

be a piece of fruit, but that after-school snack can be really

important to just throw in the backpack. The question really is suggestions you

have for keeping food cold besides just you know maybe throwing in an ice pack

what do you recommend? > Right. Well first we would start with the lunchbox making

sure it's insulated. So while paper brown bags can be you know a good idea but at

the same time we want maybe that insulated lunchbox sure as he just

mentioned including one maybe even two ice packs we live in Florida it does get

hot we're not sure where the lunchbox is you know hopefully it's in the classroom

but these ice packs can definitely help keep the food cold and that's definitely

the rule of thumb help keep cold food cold and hot food hot. So we start with

the lunchbox safety with that.

Fruits and Grains for Children - Duration: 2:28.

> Let's talk about fruit you know what can we do to maybe make sure that the apple

just doesn't really just go to the teacher, maybe doesn't get enjoyed by the

child. > True. So packing you know some fruits that's

you know in its most natural form it's the easiest stuff to pack. So grabbing a

banana or an apple. Now when we talk about younger kids it may be difficult

for them to just grab an apple and bite into it, so I didn't bring this one cut

up but maybe you know if the apples coming back in the lunchbox you may

actually consider cutting it and then putting in a little container or baggie

so that the child can just eat it so we have to think about all those little

things especially the younger the child is when it comes to packing a healthy

lunchbox, but any type of fruit is not just good for lunch but we talked about

that after school snack. So just eating a banana you know can help you know Bridge

them until it's dinnertime but that after-school snack fruit would be

another great option. > Okay. Good to know what kind of a multi-purpose food option

there with the fruit all right let's move on to grains, another important food

group. > Yes, yes. So when we talk about grains we can think about the bread we

can talk about tortillas, like a whole-grain wheat tortilla or even a

whole grain corn tortilla. We can talk about oatmeal and there's just so you

know even pasta I've noticed a lot of kids when we go visit some of the

schools they have pasta and I it tends to be popular with the kids but why not

that whole-grain pasta all right I like to even recommend a half and a half. So

you boil half whole-grain and half white pasta and then it's all mixed and that

way they got half of their grains to be whole-grain. So kids can be picky we know

that, if it's brown they may not like the color but again it's about having those

conversations and those introductions to these foods so choosing whole-grain is

important here in front we do have an example of a we all grew up on this and

it's I'm glad they're still around the basic peanut butter sandwich notice I

didn't say peanut butter jelly I didn't leave out the jelly but here we do have

a great opportunity to have the whole-grain to have a great source of

healthy fat healthy protein with the peanut butter you can even add slices of

fruit into the sandwich and I'm not totally against the jelly but maybe

keeping it like a a thin layer adding more peanut butter

than the jelly or fresh fruit you can put fresh slices of strawberry instead

of that jelly and that we also add another food group with all the flavor.

The Nutrition Decision: Be a Role Model for Kids - Duration: 1:45.

> Talk about how can we get our children more involved in the healthy eating

process? > So that's where it starts guiding the child involved with a

healthy eating process, and as we've just mentioned that once a child feels

involved they're more likely to be a better eater. So it might mean you know

if they come grocery shopping with you having them choose what the fruit and

vegetable of the week will be, it's also about making it fun so let's not forget

the factor of fun -- yeah -- So keeping the child involved makes them feel like

they're part of the process and they'll be more likely to make healthier choices

which in this case means eating that vegetable. > Okay. That's good and this

perfect follow-up to that getting them involved but then we've talked a couple

of times already about being a role model. So again let's talk importance for

parents and caregivers to be that role model for their kids to learn those good

habits. > Yes. So when it comes to parents, grandparents,

Abuelitos, abuelitas. Any adult or even... you know there's so

many role model figures that are in a child's life it actually takes a village.

-- right -- from teachers... So children not don't only learn by what you tell them they

learn they're watching you so your actions definitely speak louder than

your words. So if you're not eating your vegetables, if you're drinking your soda,

if you're eating the chips and then telling the child not to do so, it's not

gonna work. So making sure you're following the same

advice that you're giving the child it's also part of just general health you

know healthy habits. So making it a family occasion you know making it

something about the family guiding the family onboard will definitely help the

success of help raising a healthy eater.

Cesc Fabregas Set for €10m Move to Monaco After 'Waving Goodbye' to Chelsea Fans and Emotional Tweet - Duration: 3:46.

Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas appeared to deliver his goodbyes to the Chelsea faithful at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night, ahead of his mooted €10m move to Ligue 1 side Monaco

The Spaniard was a second half substitute in the disappointing 0-0 stalemate with Southampton, and was an unlucky to have an assist ruled out when Alvaro Morata was adjudged to be offside in a marginal call

Upon the final whistle, he was seen visibly applauding and thanking the fans, which many saw as a goodbye gesture to the club he has been with since 2014

Fabregas has been linked with a move away from the Bridge for a while now, after struggling to gain a role under Maurizio Sarri following his recruitment of Jorginho in the summer

A number of clubs have been linked with the 31-year-old, including Atletico Madrid and AC Milan, but it now appears that Thierry Henry's Monaco have won the race to sign the midfielder

As reported by a journalist for Spanish publication and radio show COPE, the former Arsenal and Barcelona man is set to sign a three and a half year deal with the French outfit, after agreeing terms

The price required to release the player from Chelsea is likely to be €10m.With his contract at Stamford Bridge expiring at the end of the season, the Blues were unwilling to diverge from their customary contractual policy of refusing to offer players over the age of 30 anything other than a one-year extension

Following the 22 minute cameo that took him to 500 appearances in English football, Fabregas also posted an emotional message on his twitter account, adding credence to the idea that this was his way of saying goodbye

The post read: "500 games in English football, the best and most competitive football in the world, what a ride it has been! A proper dream come true to reach these numbers

Another proud moment in my career.I will see you all at the Bridge on Saturday." However, that last part signalled that his final game could actually come in the FA Cup clash with Nottingham Forest this weekend, and in the time since, ESPN report that the club expect that to be the case

Fabregas has the second most assists in Premier League history, and has won two Premier Leagues, two FA Cups and one League Cup in spells with Arsenal and Chelsea

Fruit Juice: Good or Bad for Kids? - Duration: 2:03.

> Tell us about your thoughts on juice, is there a better alternative for our kids

and why? why is it a better alternative and that's always go with the juice? > So

that's a great question and topic to talk about juice is it okay and a

child's diet or even a diet in general. So juice is actually not necessary as a

way to get your fruit intake and the main difference between when we talked

about the MyPlate we see that fruit is a part of the plate it's an important part

but this is talking about the whole real fruits. The whole real fruit, and it's

naturalness, has the fiber that juice does not have sometimes people think

that the orange juice pulp, you know that the pulp is the fiber, it's not. So you

know it's about when you eat the flesh of the fruit that you get your insoluble

fiber and your soluble fiber and it's that fiber nutrient that's really

important when you eat your one serving of fruit. So juice is really tricky even

if it's no sugar added and maybe even a fresh pressed juice the serving size

recommended for children is no more than four to up to six ounces per day that's

by the American Academy of Pediatrics and for teenagers no more than eight

ounces, but is it needed and necessary as a way to get nutrition and no. So

although it's no sugar added juice still has natural sugar which is fine when you

eat it within one serving of fruit, but the amount of fruit it takes to get an

eight ounce glass of juice or now we know our portion sizes are also much

larger so you can easily be drinking twelve to sixteen ounces of juice and

that's way too many pieces of fruit that no one would ever eat to equate that one

glass of juice. So when it comes to kids they just need water to stay hydrated

hydrated, also when they eat their fruits and vegetables they are staying hydrated

by eating their fruits and then juice if they do drink juice definitely keeping

it to the four to six ounces for the elementary aged and even middle

school-aged kids.
