25 Amazing Travel Hacks For The Road Warrior | RMRS Style Videos - Duration: 9:13.

25 Amazing Travel Hacks For The Road Warrior [0:00:00]

So, I'm doing the research for today's video and this traveler hack kept popping

up about marking your luggages fragile, so the airlines will treat it better.

That is complete BS.

I've got a huge list of awesome travel hacks whether you're flying in an airplane, staying

at a hotel.

If you are a road warrior, you're going to love today's video.

[Music] Dress well.

I'm not going to say you need to wear a suit, I'm not going to say that this is

going to get you upgraded to first class, but I will say that when you dress respectable,

you will be treated with more respect.

And you're going to interact with a lot of people, when you go to grab a coffee, when

you go to get in line to get on the airplane, when you arrive at the hotel, you want to

look the part of a success, you want to look the part of a respectable person, so you are

treated with respect.

Now, that being said, I know suits aren't going to work for everybody, so what do you

do when you've got to dress down when you've got to dress casually, but you still want

to look sharp?

Guys, it's all about the style pyramid – fit, fabric, function.

Everything you put on your body needs to fit you.

So, once you nailed the fit, and, yes, casual clothing you can pay to get it adjusted, but

it's better to buy off the rack when it fits you.

Let's look now at fabric.

So, when you're looking at fabrics, you want to go with fabrics that don't look

worn.

So, if you've worn something for years and it looks like you've worn it for years,

get rid of it, look to upgrade.

Now, what to do with colors?

In general, I like it where we've got darker colors when we're traveling, protects against

stains, but you can bring a brighter color.

You notice how this bright color right here draws attention to the face, to the eyes,

that's what you want when you're communicating with people.

Next up, the function.

Again, if the function calls for it, you environment out work is a casual environment, if you were

to wear a suit, it's just going to stand out, then that's when you wanted to do that,

but you can still look great.

Maybe bring a nice accessory.

Why not bring, you know, if you like your earrings, if you like a necklace, whatever

it is to help set you apart.

Next up, know your regulations.

Ignorance is not going to get you through to security.

You may not know that you can't take a tomahawk or a ka-bar on a flight.

Guess what, guys?

It's not getting through security.

But some of you guys maybe saying, okay, I've heard that if I freeze a bottle of water,

I'm going to get through security.

To me, that's kind of pushing it because it has to be frozen when you're going through

security.

I would rather just take an empty bottle and then fill it up when I'm on the other side.

So, that last point about the restrictions, obviously, I'm joking about the ka-bar and

the tomahawk, but I'm not joking about knowing the restrictions because I find that they

change all the time and they're getting tighter, it's getting frustrated.

One way around it a hack is to actually have clothing that has tons of pockets on it.

This is basically a carry on.

Let me explain.

So, this is made by SCOTTeVest, the paid sponsor of today's video and I love this company.

It's amazing.

So, this jacket right here is the revolution plus jacket and I absolutely love it, so it's

a very warm jacket.

I just love this because it is so functional.

I'm actually just so excited to get this, guys.

I've got an awesome deal for you down in the description, the best discount code you're

going to find for this company.

By the way, this hoodie right here is their piece of gear as well.

This is their cotton hoodie.

It's got twenty one pockets and it can even fit an iPad.

This right here is known as their SJ Qzip.

It's a lightweight versatile sweater.

It's got three pockets.

And they're vest, I absolutely love this RFID travel vest.

So, it's got twenty six pockets and notice I said RFID because that's going to protect

your credit card.

Guys, I'm linking to SCOTTeVEST down in the description with the best discount code

you're going to find out there.

It's a functional piece of gear with tons of pockets.

SCOTTeVEST has you covered.

Next up, wear your bulkiest clothing when you're traveling by air, it's going to

free up room in your luggage, it's going to save you on weight, and it gives you a

lot of options when you're traveling from that incredibly hot terminal to that incredibly

freezing airplane.

Now, when it comes to shoes, understand your shoes have a lot of weight and they can be

very bulky.

But, it would be nice wouldn't they if they actually didn't have laces, if they could

slip on and off.

So, if you're just a seasoned traveler you go through a lot of airport security, make

sure to get a slip-on.

Now, they've got Chelsea boots that's another great option if you like boots, but

right here, we've got a double monk strap, you can look at some loafers, but this makes

it very easy to go in and out of security without having to lace anything up.

And, don't forget to check in with the airline, the rules are very different.

So, I was over in Ukraine and apparently I needed to check in with the airline two hours

before not at the airport because when I check in at the airport, they said, oh, you missed

the deadline, you get to pay an extra $30.

So, guys, be careful of fees like these.

And what can you do?

You just got to pay it to get on the airplane.

Your passport, your driver's license, take a picture and e-mail it to yourself.

If you lose your ID, if you get your wallet stolen, you'll at least going to have a

copy of your identification that can help you get through security.

Pack light.

Whether you take this bag, whether you take this bag, you're probably going to fill

any bag that you take.

Take a smaller bag and get everything in it versus taking a big bag and putting in all

these optional items.

Now, you're going to see hacks out there about rolling your clothing, I think that's

effective for certain pieces, but when it comes to jackets it comes to structured pieces,

you want to make sure to fold the jacket correctly.

If you need those tutorials, guys, I've got you covered with those videos down in

the description.

[0:05:04] Interchangeability.

Vvery shirt every jacket every pair of trousers every pair of shoes should work with every

other item you're going to take.

So, really quick let's talk about athletic gears.

Some people say I'm not going to take it because it's going to add extra weight bulk

to my luggage.

I get that, but how to save room when you're packing your athletic gear?

For me, I don't take extra socks, I just use the socks that I'll be wearing normally.

When it comes to my shorts, I don't take swim trunks.

I will use my running shorts as my swim trunks.

And when it comes to specialty shoes, I take my running shoes.

I know some of you guys got lifting shoes.

Actually, you could lift barefoot.

I know some gyms won't allow it, but if the gym will allow it you can just simply

be in your socks and you can do deadlifts and squats simply barefoot.

So, when I travel I always take a first aid kit.

You never know when you're going to get sick, you're going to get a fever, when

you're going to cut your finger and you need to stop the bleeding.

I think ever traveler should have a calling card that's going to have your name, going

to have your email, possibly going to have your address.

Use those cards, put them in your luggage, put tape on both sides and put it on the outside

of your luggage.

And, if you were to meet an amazing person, you don't have time to exchange information,

you give them the card and you can make a contact right there.

So, when I travel I take two forms of IDs and three credit cards.

The two forms of ID are my driver's license and my passport.

Now, when it comes to my credit cards, I've got three different credit cards and they

are of different types.

So, I've got an American Express, we've got a Visa, we've got a MasterCard.

The reason being, sometimes in some places they're not going to take American Express,

so then I can pull up my Visa.

And, if you're traveling out of States out of the country, call your credit card companies.

Let them know that you'll be using these cards in those locations, so they do not freeze

your cards.

Now, when it comes to cash, I always make sure I've got crisp clean bills that are

new.

I've been to some countries and if it's got a tear in it, if it's got a mark on

it, if it's an older issue of that, you know, hundred-dollar bill, they're not going

to exchange it.

When I check into a hotel room, I clear out the clutter.

That means all the magazines, all the brochures, I pick them all together I put them into a

drawer out of the way because I want a clean space, so when I'm looking for something,

I can find it and when I'm ready to get to business, I just don't have distractions.

So, once I'm checked into the room sort of settled, I go ahead and I call the service

desk.

I ask now for the extras.

I want an extra blanket because I sleep with the temperature low and I like to be toasting

when I'm in my bed.

I ask for extra hangers, I've got a lot of jackets a lot of nice shirts.

So, at this point, I'm getting these things sent up to me while there was almost no demand

because if you start asking for this as everyone's going to bed at 8:00 at night 9:00 at night,

you're going to find – you're going to get whatever is left and sometimes it's

going to take an hour for them to actually get you anything.

When I check into my room, I unpack all my luggage and I immediately iron all my shirts

that way everything is set for the week.

But, make sure to inspect the iron.

You want to look at the base plate, you want to make sure there's no stains that nothing

is really dirty on it.

If need be, ask for another iron, but make sure that when you iron your clothing, it's

not with an iron that's going to damage the clothing.

All right, guys, what do you think of the video?

Did you learn anything new?

Do you have something that you want to add you're like, Antonio, you missed this hack.

Let me know down in the comments.

I want to hear from you, guys.

And, if you want more, you want to dress sharp with no efforts, guys, check out this video

here.

I've got seven tips for you to level up your style with pretty much no effort.

Yes, there's a little bit of work if you want to level up your style and you don't

want to, you know, shock your friends, you just simply want to start looking better with

minimal amount of work.

And, guys, don't forget, go check out SCOTTeVEST, I'm linking to them down in the description

to tons of clothing that they sent me.

And I'm really excited because for years I've known about this company, actually,

I owned one of their vests I bought myself years ago because I love function.

I don't know what else to say.

Guys, I'm linking to them down in the description.

As you can tell, I'm excited, I love – I love companies like this.

So, as wrapping things up, I want to show you some of the details on this hoodie.

One of these just made my daughters laugh.

It actually made me laugh, I didn't expect it.

So, one thing I like is besides the twenty one pockets is actually they've got this

set up here, so you can wear it like a glove.

But, check this out.

So, when you're on an airplane and, yes, you do not want anyone to disturb you especially

your own kids.

Look at that.

[Laughs] This thing I didn't even know it was there until I was wearing it and I pulled

it out and my daughters saw it and they just started laughing and I had to go over, I mean

that's pretty awesome, right?

Just something fun with the clothing.

Guys, go check them out.

Again, a great sponsor, I'm linking to them down in the description.

3 DIY gifts for men | Sewing & handicraft work with Nastja - Duration: 14:12.

Hello and welcome to the Prym YouTube channel.

I am Nastja. Some of you may know me from my own channel "DIY Eule".

Today I want to show you three simple gifts you could sew for men.

It is not always easy to find gifts for men, especially home-made gifts.

Therefore, today I want to show you three simple, practical ideas for men.

In this video I will sew all three ideas in muted colours, because that is typically 'male'.

But not all men are the same - some men do like bright colours.

So, just think what your man likes and try to find the perfect material and colour combination.

OK, let's get on with the first sewing idea.

For this I have sewed a snood or cowl.

This is a looped scarf, which you wind only once round your neck.

So this is a very narrow looped scarf. It is very cosy and practical for a cold winter.

My version has a drawstring cord at the top. This can be drawn tight to keep draughts away from the neck.

For the outer fabric I have used a knitted fabric and a fur fabric for the inside.

Of course, you can combine any other fabrics, such as two jersey fabrics.

That is not so bulky, but use your own ideas.

My snood version is really narrow and very high. This gives it a lot of volume.

You can make it rather wider and not as high.

For the snood you need: 45 cm outer fabric, 45 cm inner fabric, a remnant of firm fleece inlay, a hoodie cord, cord stoppers, eyelets and suitable attachments

– here I am using 11 mm eyelets –

pliers or hammer and tripod tool, a safety pin and your sewing sewing utensils.

Cutting out comes first. From each of the outer and inner fabrics cut a rectangle 75 x 45 cm – if you want less volume, then 75 x 35 cm will do.

Place both pieces right side on right side and sew them together along a long edge.

Here I am using an overlock machine – but you can use an ordinary sewing machine with an elastic stitch.

Fold the snood along the centre, so that seam meets seam. On the outer fabric mark the centre with a pin.

Cut a 4 x 10 cm piece of the firm interfacing and iron it to the wrong side of the upper fabric, close to the seam.

Mark points as follows: one 3 cm from the upper edge and one each 3 cm left and right of the centre marking.

First make the holes for the eyelets at these points and then add the eyelets. Since the eyelets are attached at the centre of the fabric, I recommend that you use the tripod tool.

It distributes the pressure and lets you attach the eyelets in the centre of the fabric.

Then place the snood right side to right side again and sew the other long edge.

Pull one end through the snood, so that it meets the other open end at the front. The outer fabric and the inner fabric are now together right side to right side.

Pin the whole thing together all the way round. Take care that the seams meet each other precisely.

Sew the open edges together all the way round and leave about 15 cm of lining open for turning.

Turn the snood right side out and close the turning opening by hand.

Turn the snood so that the outer fabric side is uppermost and iron the edges.

Now sew the upper border once more 5 cm from the edge with an elastic stitch for a normal sewing machine or a coverlock machine.

Pull the hoodie cord end through on a safety pin. I always secure the end with tape, so that the pin does not open inside the tunnel.

Thread the safety pin through one of the eyelets and and slide it once more with the cord through the tunnel.

Pull it out of the other eyelet and shorten the ends.

Remove the safety pin and attach both cord stoppers.

Now knot the ends of the cord and that's you finished.

That was the first idea and now for Idea Number 2.

This idea is a tablet cover, because I think men like practical gifts.

The idea works for a laptop bag or mobile phone cover.

This version is made from real leather, a very sophisticated material, easily sewed by hand.

It is fantastically easy: You have only one piece, which you fold over and sew together; it is ever so fast.

I have also sewed on a small appliqué motif, just to make it special and eye-catching.

You could sew on a button here or a different motif.

For the tablet cover you need: firm leather, about 2 to 4 mm thick, Creative yarn, a tapestry needle, revolving punch pliers, a measuring tape,

rotary cutters, ruler and cutting mat and optionally a leather appliqué motif.

First measure the length (the longest side), then the width and finally the height. Note the measurements.

Now we calculate the cutting out of the leather. We need a rectangle:

width = 2 x width of tablet + tablet height + 2 cm seam allowance

length = tablet length + tablet height + 1 cm seam allowance

My measurements are 38 x 26 cm.

Cut the rectangle once from the leather.

Fold the leather together wrong side to wrong side and secure it all around with fabric clips.

With the revolving punch pliers punch holes evenly about 5 to 7 mm from one short edge and the open long edge. The distance between holes is about 1 cm.

You can use an awl to mark the position of the holes.

Punch all the holes.

Then sew down, always beginning from above to below, above to below through all the holes.

When the needle comes up, sew back in the same way, so that the thread runs on the upper and under sides between all the holes.

Knot the end.

If required, the edges can be trimmed straight once more.

Add the leather label. I have traced the position of the holes for the appliqué motif on the upper edge and punched them with the punch.

On the outside next to this I have punched a further hole about 7 mm away and sewed on the appliqué motif.

The whole thing is knotted on the inside.

That was the second idea and so let's move on quickly to the third idea.

This idea is a cosmetics bag. When the gentleman is on the move, he needs a toiletries bag.

So, I am showing you a fantastically easy, sophisticated box bag, perfect for any man's luggage.

For this I have use an outdoor fabric – the bag will be water-tight.

You could also use oilcloth or another tough fabric.

Depending on how sturdy your fabric is, check whether you need interfacing.

Coated fabrics are often not easy to iron – simply sew them.

There are two ways to sew the bag. Without lining – but you need to use a really sturdy outer fabric,

because it will be difficult to use an interfacing.

In this case the seam allowance is simply neatened with bias binding.

I am showing you the version with lining and then you can use an interfacing.

With coated fabrics I recommend that you work with fabric clips, use a Microtex needle,

if you have one, a plastic or Teflon machine foot and always select a long stitch length.

For the cosmetics bag you need: 30 cm outdoor material and either some bias binding or 30 cm lining fabric,

optional fleece inlay, an open end zip fastener, at least 33 cm long,

17 cm belt webbing, 30 mm wide and a D-ring in silver, also 30 mm wide.

Print the pattern out to 100% and glue it together. The link for this is in the info box.

Cut the pattern piece at the fold line, once from the outer fabric and once from the lining fabric.

Place the zip fastener with the right side downwards on one of the long edges of the outer fabric.

If the zip fastener is very long, the slide may lie outside the fabric. This makes sewing it much easier.

Sew the zip fastener with a zip foot.

Turn the zip fastener over and place the other long edge of the fabric right side to right side on the zip fastener. Pin the edges together and sew them.

Turn the bag right side out and open the zip fastener. Turn the seam allowance under the zip fastener back and back-stitch it from the right side on both sides close to the edge.

Close the zip fastener halfway. From the belt webbing cut two pieces: one 10 cm and one 7 cm.

Fold the short piece in half, place it on the right side of one of the ends of the zip fastener and pin it securely. Draw the other belt webbing through the D-ring

and pin this piece on the other end of the zip fastener. Stitch down both straps close to the edge.

Take care that the zip fastener sliders are inside the zip fastener.

Trim off the protruding zip fastener.

Open the zip fastener and turn the bag inside out. Fold the sides together and stitch them down.

If you are not using lining, attach the bias binding to the seam allowances.

Fold each corner together and stitch them down.

If you are not using lining, now sew on bias binding.

Turn the bag right side out.

Now I'll show you how to sew the lining.

Fold 1 cm of the two long sides of the lining towards the inside and iron.

Place both long sides of the lining towards the centre; the wrong side of the fabric is now outside. Stitch down the two short side edges.

Then fold the corners together and stitch them down.

Place the lining in the bag and pin it securely to the zip fastener.

Sew on the lining by hand.

There you are – my three gift ideas for men.

I hope you have enjoyed the video. If so, send us a thumbs-up.

And let us know in the Comments, which of the three ideas you liked best.

Or else tell us what gifts you have made and how they were received. We can benefit from each other's ideas.

Thank you once more to Prym for allowing me to make this guest video.

I hope you have had a lovely, creative time and hope to see you soon. Till then: Bye!

The Ravens fell to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday by a score of 23-16 for Baltimore's third consecutive loss.

After starting the season 3-1, they're now 4-5.

"I don't see [changes to personnel]," Harbaugh told reporters, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley.

"The biggest thing we need to do is get healthy.".

Lamar Jackson in 2018.

The Ravens selected the 2016 Heisman winner with the 32nd overall pick of the 2018 NFL Draft, making him the fifth quarterback selected in the first round.

While Jackson has yet to start under center, the team has utilized him all over the place on offense, often featuring him and starter Joe Flacco on the field at the same time.

He rushed five times for 10 yards in the loss, bringing his season totals to 139 yards on 28 carries.

Jackson found Michael Crabtree for a 12-yard connection, his seventh completion of the year on 12 attempts.

Jackson also saw his second target of the year, though he has yet to pull down a catch.

He's scored one touchdown with his legs and another with his arm in 2018.

He could have had his first career touchdown grab on Sunday, but Flacco didn't see a wide-open Jackson on third-and-goal in the red zone in the first quarter.

John Harbaugh on the Hot Seat.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reported on Sunday morning that Harbaugh's job was in jeopardy heading into the matchup with Pittsburgh.

After the defeat, Harbaugh said he wasn't stressing about his job security.

"I've never been somebody who worried about keeping a job, it's always been about me doing the job.

And, uh, I've got a bunch of great coaches and a bunch of great players that bust their tails every single day to do the best job they can," Harbaugh said, according to CBS Baltimore.

"I feel really good about the way this team has been coached the last 11 years and for the last number of weeks we've been in this season.

"So no regrets, never been any regrets here with me.

We'll keep fighting because that's what we do.".

Crocheting & knitting tutorial for beginners | DIY bag with Nastja - Duration: 13:00.

Hello and welcome to this video on the Prym YouTube channel.

I am Nastja. Some of you may know me from my own channel "DIY Eule".

On my channel I mainly sew, but I do all sorts of craft work.

And sometimes I crochet.

A technique, which I am not yet too confident about is knitting.

I have knitted a bit from left and right but I am not really an expert.

This video will not be a classic lesson; I will show you how I learn to knit.

My favourite theme when sewing is bags and because I did not want simply to knit a scarf,

but wanted to do something just as simple, so I thought, I'll knit a bag.

Because that is really only a rectangle, which I can then sew.

And I found these handles, for Prym offers lots of different ones.

I can already crochet and I like crocheting with thick yarn,

because it is simple and so I started knitting with a thick jersey yarn

and very thick needles, to make fast progress and not become frustrated.

I think this is a good tip for beginners.

I have also long been a fan of Prym's ergonomic crochet needles.

They have a rubber grip and the front is made of very smooth plastic.

And they are simply wonderful to work with.

The ergonomics range now offers suitable knitting needles.

Here are a few points, where I think it was easy for me, coming from crochet.

I am using the large single-pointed knitting needles in size 10, because I have such thick yarn.

But they come, of course, in many different sizes.

There are also circular knitting needles - they could also be useful for this project.

The circular knitting needles have steel wires, which do not twist or tangle.

And of course, there are needle points.

I think the simplest thing would be to use these needles, the hook tips.

These are drop-shaped points.

The needles do not come to a point, but have a little drop on the end

so that the stitch does not slide off the needle so easily.

From crochet I'm used to having a hook, which makes it easy to grip

and this drop shape makes it easier to grip, I think – we'll soon find out.

The needles are also a special shape: in front they are round and then they become triangular.

This helps the stitches to glide along the needle.

The special feature of the single-pointed knitting needles – they click together.

This holds them together – super for storage and for keeping your knitting safe.

You can put it away in your bag without worrying that the stitches will slide off.

OK, a quick sip of tea and off we go with the knitting.

As a pattern I thought of moss stitch, but will have to see if that looks too untidy with the thick yarn.

The most important thing in knitting is to note right side and wrong side.

Simply keep this overview in mind.

So today, with a cup of tea and some quiet, I will convert my inner knitting soul.

Prym also offers a basic instruction manual – I grabbed it

and armed with it I shall make a start.

"For beginners and those, who have forgotten" – great, I am both.

So, the free end of the yarn rests on the thumb.

The yarn attached to the ball is on the index finger.

I put the needle in here, underneath the thumb and then back here.

And let it glide from the thumb.

That was wrong.

So far it seems reasonably uniform.

I know already that tomorrow I will have cramp in my left hand

and that you can really grip well with the hook tips.

I like that.

I am now doing it by feel.

Can you knit? And when did you learn to knit? Tell us in the Comments.

I would love to be able to knit better, I am a sock addict:

in winter I always wear really bright socks and post them on Instagram.

It would be great to be able to knit my own socks.

That would be my aim for this campaign.

I have read that I need an even number of stitches for moss stitch.

Let's count: one, two, three, our...

... 22, 23, 24, 25 – One is missing, I need an even number.

26

The underside is already very attractive.

It looks very uniform. I am proud of that: it looks lovely.

Now we learn knit stitches.

"Take the second knitting needle in the right hand"

"and push the needles from left to right through the stitch."

I think I have always done that wrongly.

"Hold the yarn securely with the right index finger and pull the point of the needle through the old stitch."

What?

From behind? Wow!

I've no idea, whether that was correct.

OK, now we do a purl stitch, because we have to knit them alternately.

"Knit the first stitch knitwise." – The first stitch must always be a knit stitch; it's a good thing we started like that.

"Then place the yarn in front of the needle, push the right needle point behind the tensioned yarn"

"from right to left through the stitch."

"Loop the right needle point from the front around the tensioned yarn."

And then I pull it through?

OK, now I can knit.

But I must keep looking at it. Now you go in from the back.

This right and left is driving me crazy.

But how do I hold it then?

Why like that?

I really think it is a good idea to start with such thick yarn, because it is much easier to see what is going on.

I think I have made a mistake.

It will be a while before I can knit on the train.

I need more space – I'm about to knock my cup over.

But it is definitely easier to guide the yarn with the rounded points.

The first row has been knitted.

Not too bad. I made a little mistake at the start, but so what!

Do you have a mnemonic for: knit stitches behind and purl stitches in front? Tell us in the Comments.

I have drunk my first cup of tea and made the second.

It's like that when you are making sure of a knitting project. I am on the sixth row.

Very good. It feels good, it is very firm. Let's knit a bit further.

It is now one day later and yesterday I really knitted intensively.

I've done this. It is between 50 and 60 cm long.

Unfortunately the second ball is considerably thinner than the first and you can see this in the knitting.

You should look for quality not just in the knitting needles, but in the yarn as well.

What I now absolutely have to learn, is casting off.

And I am a bit apprehensive, for I don't know what to do, if it doesn't work.

"Knit the first and second stitches knitwise."

"Slide the left needle point from right to left through the first stitch.

OK.

"Now lift the first stitch over the second."

Yes.

I now pull it down here.

So far, so good.

Here I pull it again from left to right.

This takes adrenalin. I think I have it right.

My Grandma makes it look so easy. Do you have a Grandma like that?

The needles go click, click, click and it sounds so nice.

We are still a long way from that. But I'm getting there, I think.

The drop-shaped points are a great help here, as well, especially for a beginner,

because it is not so easy to drop a stitch. That is very helpful.

It is time for a time lapse.

"Finally only one stitch is left on the needle." I have done everything correctly.

I grab a wool needle,

thread it here

and simple sew it together stitch by stitch.

This would also be super as a cushion cover. Ok, the side is finished.

I now sew in my starting thread.

and we have the basic shape of the bag. I would say that this is the front.

And now we need the handles.

They have simply got wooden rings on the front like this.

So, I can very easily sew them on to the edge.

There we are, that's what it looks like and it's reasonably cool for my first knitting project.

A knitted bag is very individual, but I think it is really the thing for autumn or winter.

I simply love the combination of pink and greyish blue.

And to summarise what I have learned about knitting:

I think that if you stick at it - I knitted almost all of yesterday –

then it becomes much easier than if you knit for an hour and then pick it up again the next day,

because it has to become instinctive. If you knit all day, it becomes instinctive and then you can probably knit for longer.

It was a good idea to choose a thick yarn, because you get on quickly, don't become frustrated so quickly and you can see exactly what you are doing.

But you should choose quality yarn.

I think the bag handles are super. It is fun to make this bag based on a rectangle.

So you definitely get a thumbs-up from me.

About the knitting itself: it was really fun; I wouldn't have thought I would pick it up again so quickly.

And I really liked the needles. I know that not every one likes plastic needles, but these are not typical,

simply because they feel really good.

I am a huge fan of these hook tips. They are really good.

When knitting you don't notice the needles changing shape from round to triangular,

but when you think about it, you notice that the stitches glide easily along the needles, which is really pleasant.

I like the clickheads too, because the project was very wide

and if I hadn't clicked them together, the stiches might have slipped off the knitting needle.

I am really hooked and think my next project will be socks.

I already have a set of needles. I'll need much smaller needles – these ones, size 3 mm.

Or else I have a 10 circular knitting needle; I can get used to it gradually and then use a smaller needle.

The links to the needles and more information are below in the info box.

I hope you have enjoyed the video and if so, give it a thumbs-up.

I would love it, if you also watched my channel "DIY Eule" from time to time.

And of course, thank you to Prym for allowing me to make this guest video.

I wish you a creative time and hope to see you again soon. Bye!
