New Tech - Deity Shotgun Mic - V-Mic D3 Pro For Video - Duration: 6:14.

Coming right on the tail of the new

S-Mic, Deity has released an even

lower cost shotgun mic called the

Deity V-Mic D3 Pro, that is, packed

with features.

It's ultra light, has a uni-body

aluminum build, long battery life,

with a stepless gain knob, super

smart 3.5 mm connector that

connects to just about anything,

extremely low-noise circuitry,

built-in high pass filter,

intelligent power on and off, and

an adjustable Rycote shock mount.

I should also note this mic was

chosen as the 2018 Best Product at

the recent Cine Gear show.

I want to note for this episode

that I am, just to test this

mic out, recording in the

lowest end recorder I could

find that I have, and it is

a very old Zoom H1, and hopefully

this will pan out.

I've tried

it in the H6, and I've tried it

in various different types of

devices, which you'll see

in a moment.

Let's dive into this thing.

It comes with a nice protective carry case, the V-Mic Pro itself, a

3.5 mm coiled cable, foam

windscreen, and the Rycote

shockmount.

The D4 Pro is made out of a nice

aluminum body, and is surprisingly

small for such a feature rich

microphone.

To control the audio level, the mic

has this ingenious analog gain knob

built into the mic itself, which

has these bump guards so you don't

accidently rotate it.

This control adds gain on a linear

scale, meaning, you can dial in the

exact amount of gain you need for

your recording up to +20 DB.

When recording in a studio or

theater you may have the rumble of

an air conditioning system,

vibrations from someone walking

across a wooden floor, or you're

outside and have wind or trucks

driving by.

These are all low-frequency sounds

that you don't need, and a low-cut

cuts these lower frequencies out.

You may also know this as a high-

pass filter, same thing, it cuts

out the lower frequencies and

allows the higher ones through.

The D3 Pro has a Low-cut button

built into the mic, and instead of

the usual ones where you see

you have sunken buttons or switches

that are hard to toggle, the D3 Pro

uses a single button on the top of

the unit for 75 hertz and 150

hertz, which is where these

annoying sounds mentioned live.

Simply press the button to

engage 75, 150, or none.

An amazing feature of the D3 is

it's compatible with almost all

cameras, recorders, smartphones,

wireless bodypacks, and tablets.

The D3 Pro has a smart TRRS cable,

that's a 3.5mm cable, that simply

plugs into almost anything you

have, which is awesome, as you

don't have to deal with all those

various adapter cables anymore.

This is a test of the Deity

V-Mic Pro D3 now running into

a Zoom recorder, same cable.

This is a test of the Deity

V-Mic Pro D3 using the same

cable and running it into

an iPad recorder.

This is a test of the Deity

V-Mic Pro D3 running it into

my phone, same cable.

Another cool feature is the

Intelligent Power On/Off button.

The D3 Pro sits in sleep mode, and

when the mic detects an attached

device or camera coming on, it

immediately wakes up.

If the device or camera turns off,

the D3 Pro will go into standby

mode after 15 minutes, which saves

power.

This adds to an already amazing 50

hours of working time using the

Internal Rechargeable Lithium

Battery.

Recharging this mic is simple with

this USB Type-C cable, with USB

chargers available just about

anywhere nowadays.

Finally, Deity partnered with

Rycote to design a unique shock

mount.

A shock mount isolates the mic from

any unwanted vibration, such as

camera handling, or someone

handling it on a boom pole.

The design allows you to mount the

D3 Pro however you want: forward,

middle, back.

This is ideal, for example, to

obtain the perfect balance when

using a gimbal.

Underneath you'll find a threaded

mounting screw so you can mount it to

just about anything, such as a

friction arm.

Here's the specs on the mic itself:

This is a shotgun mic with a Super

Cardioid polar pattern, with a

Frequency Range of 50Hz-20kHz.

It uses a 4mm Prepolarized

Condensor Capsule with low noise

circuitry for extremely Low

noise Distortion of less than 0.1%.

It's output Output Impedance is 200

ohms, a signal to noise ratio of

84dB @-24dB sensitivity, working

battery life of over 50 hours, and

will charge in less than 2 hours.

It is light weight at 143 grams,

and is 21 millimeters in diameter

with a length of 189 mm.

If you're looking for a great

shotgun mic that can adapt to just

about any condition, I suggest

you check out the Deity V-Mic Pro,

currently listed at $199.

If you want something like this

without all the extra features,

check out the V-Mic D3 at only $99.

this video and don't forget to

I hope that helps, and thanks for watching!

[BEEP!]

Now, I know the Deity mics are

renowned for being built like a

tank, but I didn't see them

advertise that here.

So let's check it out…

Leicester news: Claude Puel reveals pride for 'emotional' players after Cardiff win - Duration: 2:03.

Leicester news: Claude Puel reveals pride for 'emotional' players after Cardiff win Foxes boss Puel was rightly proud of his squad and staff after beating Cardiff 1-0 on Saturday.

The visitors fulfilled the fixture despite the heartache of Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha's horrific helicopter crash a week earlier. The disaster, which claimed the lives of all five passengers, has devastated the club.

But boss Puel said: "I am proud of the success in this first game. My players and staff grow as people to manage these emotions. "It is important to continue his dream.

We have to keep the balance between the emotion and the self control." Leicester's squad flew to Thailand after the game to attend their late owner's funeral, which lasts several days in keeping with Buddhist traditions.

They are then due back in the next 48 hours and are expected to return to training in Leicester on Thursday ahead of Burnley's visit on Saturday. It is sure to be another emotional occasion with a sell-out crowd set to honour Srivaddhanaprabha. Srivaddhanaprabha's son Top, who is stepping up to run the club, is also due back for the fixture from mourning at his father's funeral in Thailand.

Puel added: "We have to manage the next game but for the moment we have to pay tribute with the funeral in Bangkok. "Then it will be difficult to prepare for the next game but this is the first step. "It will be the first game at home in front of our fans and if we want to honour our chairman we have to control our emotions.".
