The character, who is central to the Glenn Donovan murder storyline, used to be played by Skins actor Maxim Baldry.

However, after just over 12 months in the role, the British actor left in April 2017.

Now Hollyoaks bosses have recast Jude Monk McGowan in the role of Liam.

Playing a tougher version of the villager, Jude first appeared in the Chester based soap at the end of the summer.

However, despite being on the small screen for over a month now, it seems some fans are finding the switch up too much to handle.

The role of Holly Cunningham was initially played by Wallis Day, however after 18 months he called it quits and the role went to Amanda Clapham.

Army Deploys Barbed Wire Along Texas Border in Preparation for Caravan - Duration: 1:23.

As the caravan of Central American migrants, reportedly nearly 10,000 strong, continues

making its way through Mexico towards the US border, US Army troops were spotted setting

up barbed wire fencing along the border.

During a rally on Saturday, President Trump mentioned the effort, and said he "saw that

beautiful barbed wire going up," which he called a "beautiful sight."

The Department of Defense has stated that the 5,200 Troops dispatched by the president

were attempting to lay down approximately 1,000 feet of barbed wire fencing at the border

with Mexico.

Earlier in the week, reports of violent clashes between the migrants and Mexican police began

to circulate, galvanizing the Trump administration's resolve to prevent entry to the caravan of

asylum seekers who have demanded passage and residence in the US.

President Trump has promised that between 10,000 and 15,000 American soldiers, including

troops from the Army and National Guard, will be deployed to help US law enforcement and

Border Patrol as part of "Operation Faithful Patriot."
