Phillip Lindsay Fantasy: Is the Broncos RB a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com

There was big news in the late-night info drop ahead of Week 9 of the NFL season for some fantasy football owners.

While Denver Broncos running back Phillip Lindsay has begun to emerge as a legitimately solid option in almost all leagues, his stock saw a boost last week due to Royce Freeman being out.

And as ESPN's Adam Schefter revealed, it seems Freeman will again remain sidelined when the team faces the Houston Texans Sunday.

While Lindsay won't carry the full workload himself, as Devontae Booker will also be fairly busy, he should be the primary option on early downs.

Although it is good news for fantasy owners of the Broncos rookie running back, the matchup with the Texans is no walk in the park.

In turn, I'm going to take a deeper dive into the numbers and situation for Lindsay to break down the fantasy start-sit debate this week.

On the surface, the answer seems easy enough, but obviously, it's often that there can be more to a situation than first meets the eye.

Should You Start or Sit Phillip Lindsay?.

With Freeman out last week, Lindsay saw the most single-game work of his young NFL career against the Kansas City Chiefs.

He received 21 touches, totaling 112 yards and one touchdown.

The 24-year-old also averaged 5.3 yards per carry and bumped his rushing total for the season to 531 yards on 93 carries.

What stands out about his workload and production is the fact that he only out-snapped Booker 41-32 in this game, as Football Outsiders shows.

Lindsay still producing at that level even with only 56 percent of the snaps is a great sign.

He could also wind up seeing slightly more if the Broncos can grab a lead against the Texans.

Although the Texans have allowed just 640 rushing yards on 182 carries with two touchdowns, I still like the workload and upside of Lindsay.

He doesn't catch as many passes as Booker but does still see some work through the air which is where Houston has struggled a bit more.

They've allowed five receiving touchdowns to opposing backs so Lindsay could have some production there as well.

The Broncos starting running back is in play this week in all formats for 12-team leagues or above and due to the large number of byes he's worth considering in 10-team leagues also.

David Bates is loving life in Hamburg after leaving rangers - Duration: 14:08.

For David Bates, leaving Rangers was never a question of money. Moving to Hamburg was a quest for personal growth

Both as a football player and as a man.'I came here to get better,' the 22-year-old tells smail between forkfuls of salad at a hotel near the centre of the German city

'It was never about money. I spoke to my agent and we asked, 'what is the best option for me as a footballer?''Is that unusual for a Scottish player? Maybe

But I had to ask myself, "Will I get this chance again?" 'I could have stayed in Scotland, I could have gone to England

But you don't often get the chance to join a club the size of Hamburg. People back home don't realise how big this club is

'Coming to Germany has been one of the best things I've ever done.'Leaving Glasgow for a team relegated to Bundesliga 2 raised eyebrows but Bates is dismissive of accusations he ever held Rangers to ransom over a new contract

Indeed, even while growing up in the Fife coastal village of Limekilns he harboured a vague notion of playing abroad one day

Spotted by Hamburg sporting director Johannes Spors while he was casting an eye over Moussa Dembele in a 0-0 draw with Celtic at Parkhead last December, the opportunity was one Bates couldn't turn down

Now, he learns German three times a week, walks the streets of Hamburg unhindered and, courtesy of a daily direct budget flight to Edinburgh, sees more of his family and friends than he did when he played for Rangers

'When that stuff came out in the papers about leaving Rangers I couldn't believe what I was reading,' he says

'I just wanted to come here to develop and improve as a footballer - it wasn't a question of money

I spoke to other clubs in England and I could have made more money there. But I wanted to be a better player and I am already 100 per cent a better player than I was

'People used to say my passing was weak and I was not great on the ball. Well, I am better on the ball now

We are always on the ball here. I learned stuff under the former coach Christian Titz they don't even think of in Scotland

'The new manager Hannes Wolf is giving me his own ideas, as well, and it's completely different to what you would get at home

I have come a long way as a player already. I am learning the game and know more than I did about when to go, when to pass, when to dribble

'The road to personal growth didn't always go smoothly for the man affectionately known as the 'Ginger Ramos', a nickname that has followed him to Germany from Ibrox

Bates used to travel across the Forth Bridge to play for Hearts as a free-scoring striker until his 13th birthday brought puberty crashing through the door

'I went through a growth spurt and I lost everything,' he says. 'I lost my pace, I lost my striking ability

I became a bit self conscious maybe.'I was 13 and my confidence went. I didn't feel I was the same player and, besides, Hearts had so many strikers

'After a trial with Cowdenbeath, he signed for Raith Rovers at the age of 17. It was there he become football's accidental central defender

'After a few games they didn't have a centre-back one day and they asked me if I would play there,' he recalls

'It was weird at first. But I just loved playing football. I grew a lot before I left Hearts and my height suited the role

I kind of fell into it.'There was a loan spell at East Stirling. A few months at Brechin City under mentor Ray McKinnon

Long before the 57,000-seater Volksparkstadion became an impressive new home, Bates had played in every senior ground in Scottish football

It offered an appreciation for the life he has now.'At Raith, I would go to the stadium as a young boy and pack a van with the bibs, balls and cones and travel up to the Michael Woods s Centre in Glenrothes to meet the first-team players,' he says

'It was a community sports centre. You would go to the gym and you'd be there with grannies and everyone else from miles around

I had four pairs of boots to clean every day. We would sweep the floors, clean the changing rooms

I even washed the dishes.'Then I went to Rangers a couple of years ago and suddenly it was right in front of me

I would go to the gym and there was nobody in it. And I didn't have to pay. You had boot boys, cleaners, you name it

'That (time before Ranger) was no bad thing - because I appreciate what I have now

I saw how good it was at Rangers. I see how good it is at Hamburg. We used to train on astroturf every day and when you come here the pitches are like carpets

'And that makes you think to yourself, "I want to stay at this level as long as I can

"A desire to make the absolute most of his talent was drummed into him by dad David

A former coach at Inverkeithing United, he remains his son's toughest critic.'I would get back from school at the age of 13 or 14 and dad would jump straight on his bike and say to me, "Come on, out for a run, keep yourself fit"

'I could see it far enough at times, but he drilled in the need to do extra time. To not rest on my laurels

'Bates arrived at Rangers in 2016 determined to wring every last drop from the opportunity

If he failed, it wouldn't be down to a lack of effort.'I was always in the gym and I could see boys saying, "Ach, not today

Don't fancy it".'Maybe there were times I was in there too much. But then I would see players not doing enough because they didn't appreciate what it is they had

'They're not lazy, they don't lack commitment. Maybe they are just better footballers than me

Maybe they are more natural athletes.'But I want to make the absolute most of what I have been given

'The desire to improve and perform at a higher level persuaded him to try his luck in Germany

Despite 20 appearances for Rangers last season, Ibrox director of football Mark Allen was blunt in his admission the club would be signing new defenders

Asked if he ever felt Rangers *really* wanted to keep him, he says: 'If I'm being honest? No

If they had really wanted me, they would have done it.'But these things happen and sometimes they happen for a reason

'My contract was up and we decided to see what was out there.'When I heard about Hamburg, I thought, "Wow, what a chance this could be"

'I went to the Volksparkstadion to sign and was blown away by the place.'I was excited to get in and prove a point as quickly as possible

'Yet, his new life in German football got off to a bad start. Relegated for the first time in their history, Hamburg then marked their first game in Bundesliga 2 with a 3-0 home defeat to Holstein Kiel

Bates was substituted after 57 minutes.Three months later, he has ten appearances to his name and eight clean sheets

A youthful partnership with Dutch Under-21 international Rick van Drongelen is taking shape, meanwhile, and his high school German is improving via lessons

'It's important to speak the language,' he says. 'When the manager speaks, I have to be able to pick out phrases and understand what he is saying

'It's hard. But my team-mate (former Spurs and Fulham midfielder) Lewis Holtby has an English dad

Bizarrely, his gran hails from just outside Dunfermline where I grew up. At least somebody understands what I'm saying

'Recent reports in England claimed Arsenal and Everton have been to watch him in action and that's more than can be said of the SFA

Yet to move beyond the Under-21 team, he uses international call-ups to stock up on bottles of his beloved HP Sauce ('it's the only thing I miss')

Life in Germany is good. When he went in search of personal growth, Hamburg proved generous teachers

'The city is beautiful, my girlfriend is out here with me and there are no shortage of nice restaurants,' Bates enthuses

'I have never enjoyed football as much as I do here. The style of play, the coaching, the way they look after you

The coaching staff think I'm getting better. Even my dad thinks I'm improving and, listen, if even he thinks that

'

Is Sutton Tennyson Dead? Reports Are Angela Simmons' Ex Died | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:48.

Is Sutton Tennyson Dead? Reports Are Angela Simmons' Ex Died | Heavy.com

Sutton Tennyson is the father of Growing Up Hip Hop's Angela Simmons and her ex-fiance.

Today, reports by The Shade Room have surfaced that Tennyson was shot and killed at his home, but the news has not yet been confirmed by Tennyson's ex or a representative.

So, are the death reports true? Did Tennyson really die or is this a death hoax? Sites continue to relay the reports of The Shade Room as news begins to spread.

Gossip in the City has stated that the news of Tennyson's death is true.

The original announcement of the reported death by The Shade Room states, "Roomies.

We are sending our condolences to the #Tennyson and #Simmons family.

We just confirmed that Sutton Tennyson, the father of Angela Simmons' child, was shot and killed today at his home.

Let's keep his family and friends covered in prayer during this difficult time?? No further details are available at the moment, but please keep his family lifted in prayer." After this was released, Fame Junkiez reported that Tennyson was shot in the head three times and was robbed.

Lipstick Alley has reported that Tennyson was reportedly killed in his garage.

The report on the site reads, "A man was found shot to death in the garage of a home in southwest Atlanta on Jewel Drive SW.

on Saturday around 4:30 p.m.

Police said it appears the man was shot after a dispute between three people.

Everyone has been identified and there are no suspects at large.

Major Michael O'Connor with Atlanta Police said that the house was under renovation and it is unclear if the victim lived at the home or might have been working there.

Medics who arrived at the scene tried to revive the man but he was pronounced dead at the scene.".

Below is a video that was posted on Instagram.

It is a news report about an Atlanta man was found shot in his home on Jewel Drive, on November 3, 2018.

According to The Hip Hop Apostle, the victim is said to be Tennyson.

   .

Late on November 3, 2018, TV personality, Cyn Santana posted a tweet online, in regards to the reports.

The TV star wrote, "Praying so so so so hard for Angela and her son.".

Anti-Racism strategist Tariq Nasheed speculated about Tennyson's death on Twitter, writing, "Condolences to Angela Simmons' and the family after her Ex-Fiancé Sutton Tennyson was Shot & Killed In His Home.

From what I understand, he had some drug trafficking cases lingering.

So it looks like somebody didn't want him to snitch.".

Bossip reported that Tennyson was arrested at Los Angeles Airport in March 2015.

He was then charged with felony transportation and sale of marijuana and ultimately pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor weed trafficking charge.

But, this wasn't Tennyson's only legal issue.

In September 2017, The Ford Motor Co.

sued Tennyson for breach of contract on his car lease.

According to Bossip, Tennyson and Simmons welcomed their son, Sutton Tennyson Jr.

in 2016.

The former couple split in December 2017.

Laquon Treadwell Fantasy: Is the Vikings WR a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com - Duration: 4:28.

Laquon Treadwell Fantasy: Is the Vikings WR a Start or Sit? | Heavy.com

There's a strong chance that fantasy football owners of Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs were prepared for a stressful Sunday morning in Week 9.

With the talented wideout listed as questionable due to a rib injury, the possibility that fantasy players would wind up rushing to the waiver wire was very real.

The Vikings wide receivers have a strong matchup against the Detroit Lions, and one name who's flashed upside at various points this season is Laquon Treadwell.

The question is, should you take a chance on the former first-round draft pick as a one-week flier in fantasy?.

Let's take look at the situation and evaluate whether Treadwell is worth starting.

And if he is, I'll evaluate where the best leagues/situations to play him are.

Should You Start or Sit Laquon Treadwell?.

Treadwell is an interesting option for a few reasons.

Specifically, he's seen 37 targets this year, resulting in 25 catches for 216 yards and one touchdown.

He's also seen four or more targets in every game but one this season while catching three-plus passes in each of the last six games.

Treadwell's potential is there, and considering that Diggs has seen double-digit targets in six of the last seven games, he could see a nice workload boost.

Treadwell has played 74 and 63 percent of the offensive snaps in the past two weeks (per Football Outsiders) and it's expected he'll take over Diggs' role.

One concern may be the additional work for Aldrick Robinson, though, who already has a strong rapport with Cousins and has flashed upside in limited playing time this season.

Regardless of how Robinson's situation plays out, Treadwell is going to see an increased workload in a matchup with a Lions team capable of giving up big plays.

On the season, they've allowed just 68 receptions to opposing wideouts, but they've gone for 1,027 yards (15.1 yards per reception) with nine touchdowns.

It's a solid spot for both Treadwell and Robinson potentially, putting both in play to some extent.

I wouldn't go crazy rolling out Treadwell, who's had a very hit-or-miss NFL career.

But this is a great opportunity for him and a good matchup as well.

It seems safe to assume the 23-year-old should see 6-8 targets and have a productive day.

I think he's a fine option in 14-team leagues or above in all formats for Week 9 as well as a great daily fantasy football option due to price.
