Waching daily Oct 4 2018

Hello everyone this is Adam Meister the bitcoinmeister the disrupt meister

welcome to the one bitcoin show today is September the 3rd 2018

what's this shirt say strong hand long term thinking on kompis skateable

offended by selling personal responsibility is a new counterculture

one Bitcoin equals one Bitcoin ok this game is not rigged it's big point check

out the links below if you want t-shirts if you want Tresor Bitcoin first be a

Bitcoin first err hey I saw my boy Gaston from Long Beach in the Twitter

you can follow me on Twitter at Tech ball te CH B alt on Friday that's in two

days 10:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time this week in Bitcoin Zack ball must stop

Marad and Abraham Cambridge from South Africa 10:30 a.m. New York time on

Friday all right so let's jump into today's news coin base has been all over

the place lately uh first of all Andy Hoffman has two great articles

today on steam it one of them is about coin base and I link to it below

everything I talk about in this video is linked to below he says and he was

quoting someone Tiger global a UK hedge fund that invests mainly in global

consumer brands is reportedly considering a 500 million dollar

investment in coin base which would boost the startups valuation close to

eight billion dollars and strengthen the crypto currency markets legitimacy

according to sources that spoke to recode the investment would make

coinbase one of the highest valued US startups okay for all those people say

oh the mainstream financial organizations they're never going to get

into crypto there's no there's no institutional

interest in crypto dude if this if this happens that's big that's big to be

valued at that much and to have a big company like that pour money into into

coinbase which we all know is not the perfect crypto company to say the least

Crick coinbase also had a a growth update added five million users in the

last six months now they have 25 million so they say average of 25,000 users day

is comparable to mid 2017 I guess the the additions how many new people are

joining it I mean if all this is true then as andy says this could legitimize

coinbase as a business and cryptocurrency as a

mainstream investment vehicle and yeah I mean again I don't need the mainstream's

approval I don't need the big financial institutions in approval but I know it's

coming it's just a matter of time we might this might be it this might be

this might be a big sign again if it all falls through well first of all coin

base has real people joining it there's no doubt about it but I mean if they

don't get this investment and become valued at the tremendous valuation you

don't have it eventually what happened eventually to someone now one of the

great reply to this on Twitter lobbies Andy tweeted this out also

first of all pound that like button no no no I'm serious take a moment and

pound the click you know give it an upvote subscribe to the tenth to the

channel all right and check out disrupt meister commons you want to watch

yesterday's videos and all my a thousand videos that i've done before you can

learn you can learn you got to have you'll learn how to have a strong hand

and not be impulsive and to think far into the future

the forget to gratification well here's a guy that I know can he can defer

gratification this dude his name is Val listings I'm butchering her Twitter

handle but you know who you are and he says Tiger would be better off with 500

million dollars in big so they may be interested in the crypto

space but they don't understand it yet and this is true it is better to buy

five hundred million dollars worth of Bitcoin than it is to invest five

hundred million dollars in the coin base in fact you know and this is great if

they want to throw their money in the Columbus it is going to be a huge story

I mean and it'll bring a lot of interest and it'll make again it'll bring even

more money and help Bitcoin etc again if they actually bought five hundred

million dollars with a Bitcoin that and they announced it oh my god that would

be an even bigger story but that's not gonna happen but let's take it down a

small to a smaller scale all the people they're like well should I invest in

this one company I think I can make a lot of money they're dealing with crypto

no just buy the freaking Bitcoin it's so people try to complicate things so even

these guys I mean this is their job that they're they're in a financial

organization invest in companies in startups but again they'd be better off

just be boring and buy Bitcoin I mean over the long run over the long run so

let's see let's see in 2024 if if they would have spent 500 500 million dollars

worth of Bitcoin today is worth then and how much coin their investment in coin

base is worth then I bet I mean obviously I bet because I'm a holder a

Bitcoin and I'm a buyer a Bitcoin I don't invest in companies I bet that the

the investing 500 million dollars in Bitcoin will have will be worth much

more in terms of Fiat that and again we value our wealth and big point here

without your wealth a big one so I mean those who knows how many times Bitcoin

is what crypto dividends are gonna even come off off of hidden stuff all right

uh so that was a great reply so speaking of big exchanges big name

United States exchanges and again this is this is a sign and it can travel all

over the world I'm in Santiago Chile right now that crypto Bitcoin it's

centered in the United States of America and you could say north of Canada's it's

big it's obviously big in Europe also but the action happens here the big

action I'm not saying it doesn't happen elsewhere their great minds elsewhere

but again so crypto Exchange Gemini has it obtained insurance coverage for the

digital assets it holds in custody the insurance comes on top of the Federal

Deposit Insurance corporation's insured dollar deposits that the exchange holds

okay this is I have a press release link to below from Gemini again Gemini

obtains digital asset insurance via a on digital and via a on digital asset

insurance coverage as the Gemini's existing FDIC insurance for fiat funds

so again let me stress control your own private keys people but this is good

news for those who rely who keep their funds at Gemini I mean it's huge that a

on is willing to ensure this I mean that is he that shows a certain level of

respect for cryptocurrency in the PIP among mainstream financial organizations

a big insurance player like a on is willing to insure this thing and there

is risk involved I mean they might they must really trust Gemini and have

studied Gemini's storage techniques or maybe they don't fully understand again

it's better that you keep your your fiat erection in your your crypt your Bitcoin

on a treasurer you can get one of those below use my affiliate link all sorts of

affiliate links linked to below of course but again this makes it more

appealing for traditional investors who don't want to go that reservoir route

you know there can be like well does i if i could buy this bitcoin through this

place called gemini and that's insured I won't lose suppose okay don't fall for

that trap let the it let the people who the golden holders who don't want it who

have been waiting to get into crypto until it's easier let them go to the gym

and i route see how it turns out i wish them good luck

I'm glad they'll be more willing to try it out now you 24 Center you who was to

become richer than those golden holders those traditional people who have become

wealthy through traditional assets you can't rely on Jim Knight you gotta have

rely on yourself as personal responsibility as a new counterculture

just get a trace or keep it there you'll be fine

all right what is this just uh oh speaking about keeping things simple

again keep it simple people you don't need to you need don't need to invest in

companies that deal with Bitcoin you don't need to let other people control

your Bitcoin you just buy Bitcoin and control yourself but here's here's

someone who did it this is a guy named just buy Bitcoin in the comment section

of yesterday's video shared this story he is he is a great name just buy

Bitcoin I like that name I have many friends who talk about every coin Under

the Sun and they're constantly changing portfolio yet their coins have never

moved off an exchange one friend in particular went from $900,000 to

$120,000 in two months trading trying to leverage short altcoins and he still

thinks his money is better in bike coin and there are a hundred eighty billion

supply or so then Bitcoin because it has it had a moonshot before he's back to

working his old day job home man when I set him up so good with BTC and

aetherium in the early days wow what a story but dude that's just a story that

repeats itself people are impulsive they're not

long-term thinkers they think they're doing their gamblers this is like

gamblers mentality and it's a foreign that unfortunately in the crypto space

that most people are like most people in crypto don't care about Bitcoin they

don't care meena a huge chunk of them let's just say I don't wanna I don't

want to say Oh most is fifth over 50% let's say a tremendous I'm giving him

the benefit of the doubt then I Hugh a tremendous amount of

people in Bitcoin encrypted they don't care about Bitcoin at all

they they would find this video they would just be what are you talking about

what what's what's why do you care of Bitcoin so what's your portfolio Meister

what 6-tier all coin are you flipping today thing they couldn't stand they

were just go away they did it take two minutes of this video they'd be gone

they there we go but again that's muck that's a

tremendous amount of people out there so that story doesn't shock me it's a sad

story don't be that guy and here is something from jeet again on Twitter

Bitcoin is significantly de-risk as an investment and works today

competing cryptocurrencies are always only one more fancy project named away

from working ok so again all these other all points out

there there they talk a big game with their future project with a fancy name

how it's going to work how it's going to work in the future what it can do in the

future we already see what bitcoin can do in the present it's already working

and people just don't grasp that nature they want to have the next Bitcoin they

want to have they think Ripple they want ripple to be the next Bitcoin this is

their this is they want a guru to dictate to them a quick and easy answer

that you know that's better than Bitcoin oh yeah this I owe this got a newfangled

entangled or whatever it is it's clearly better than but you might

not work yet it's you know all theoretical but it's better than Bitcoin

bitcoin punishes the 80 percenters palnet freaking like button yeah

so it again again a lot of people in the space they come to they'd come to this

video they're like holding well what's holding are isn't cryptocurrency just

about having coins on an exchange and making dollars what what what a crypto

currencies do yeah they're just trading mechanisms

I don't like ones got a fancy name it's got obviously it's two cents it'll be

twenty thousand like bitcoins so I'm just gonna stick with the cheaper

version yeah all right that's the mentality that's out there

bigpoint punishes the 80 percenters so uh here's a story another shutter used

bitcoin story Chevy used Bitcoin so hurry up today alright and this is funny

this is from gab and they gab and tweeted this out what gab is like an

alternative Twitter or Facebook thingamajig I I haven't really messed

with it yet I think I tried to sign up for it once and they said it was like

too popular and then I didn't try to sign up again you know they want to give

me a sign up at the tightest is like over a year ago but but some of the

replies to this tweet people just said you got to get in the big point now and

let's see if you guys agree breaking stripe has frozen gab Khan's account and

given us until October 19th to remove any and all legal adult content from the

site which they know is impossible we've had this content and a NSFW setting for

two years with no issues from then until now this comes just 11 days after PayPal

threatened to haul out our service over the old meme from 2012 we are now under

a targeted attack from payment processors as we predicted would happen

well that's great you predicted this would happen why didn't you tell why

don't you get in the Bitcoin beforehand well I mean why are you relying so

heavily on these organizations to bring you your money and again you should have

used Bitcoin people don't get into this situation don't be a shit I coulda

woulda be in motion people don't position yourself in the old way of life

because a centralized Authority like PayPal can just shut you off at any time

you can be the greatest guy in the world okay that's it Bitcoin can't shut anyone

else Bitcoin does not discriminate so there's another lesson for everyone

and again it's a uske it just shows you that already

bitcoin is very useful to avoid those types of situations and more and we're

gonna hear more and more about situations like that and more and more

people are going to wake up once they hear

situations like that to Bitcoin alright so the block crypto calm with has a

great well here this with all the talk about Bitcoin infrastructure we decide

to look and map the companies slash projects such protocols being built on

with Bitcoin so these guys created this big chart they list all the companies

organizations that are building things on Bitcoin with Bitcoin deal it's great

you know lolly is on their Casa is on their people will you know organizations

we have just recently talked about it's a great chart it's a flow chart a lot of

pictures not a lot of words for those of you who don't like to read a lot so

check it out it's linked up below it's in it's uh

you learn a lot and you see that there are a lot of companies a lot of

companies building on Bitcoin it's great the great break look into the future

this is a the beginning of a tremendous info system ecosystem info system I'm

thinking like what calm info see all right now mentioned McDowell sent five

dollars in the super tech Thank You mention big tile you are awesome his

channel is awesome you have two new videos up I'm gonna watch him soon by

the way um he says he spells out h OD now h OD ho h OD l say h OD l adam you

know you want to know I don't want to I want to say hold I can't say that other

word ventured I can't but I spelled it and I thank you for the five dollars of

the super chat and I encourage everyone to go to vention big tales channel he is

the big towel for the working man soon he won't be a working man anymore

because of bitcoin though which is awesome and he's a diesel mechanic for

those of you who think you got a go to some state university or whatever and

you're gonna pay 50,000 a year become rich the world needs diesel freakin

mechanics okay I mean the world B's plumb hearse

ain't no shame in that gain maybe and you can buy Bitcoin on the side

when your plumbing when your diesel mechanicing and then you won't have to

work anymore after a while so yeah then she's got a great channel out there so

what would we have literally had no I'm not gonna cover it back another any

Hoffman andy hoffman was on fire today baby he's got another one over at steam

it comparing gold and Bitcoin so if you

want to invest in what money was go right ahead and buy gold and watch its

inflation-adjusted value liquidity and desirability continues the clock to

decline especially as the older generations that own it bequeath it to

their heirs who will probably sell it for cryptocurrency alternatively you can

invest in the first new money the world has seen in millennia which likely will

dominate the monetary landscape for centuries to come

bitcoin yeah I do want you again gold is Bitcoin is gold 2.0 it's just you can do

so much more than going in gold and all you can transport it I mean the

transport issues involved with gold I just don't see how anyone can be what I

deal with it again especially since I have to go through customs and I travel

all around and you know to see how easy it would be to start a new life with

Bitcoin as opposed to having all my wealth in gold how would you yeah

Gold seems to just be a weight and anchor and I can't you know people born

into 2000s I don't see how a gold will appeal to them at all and it is entry it

will be interesting to see you know and I don't want anyone to die or do you

think that people die and you know as as some of these people have just been

holding gold their whole lives their 85 years old now and they leave it to their

kids and their grandkids what well their kids and grandkids do with that goal I

could say I don't think the grandkids are gonna whether grandkids are gonna

spend it chance pain goal they're gonna turn it into something but some well

some what big coin it you know it will be interesting again who knows

Andie's uh again check check out Andy's steam it we've got a Garza a Garza who

is a long-term view watcher of this he sent me from was this fifty Swedish

Krona I think this is most people hold I'm not going to say that crap coin to

gain in Bitcoin instead of buying Bitcoin yeah a lot of people do a lot of

people buy all coins jutted and then they go to try to flip all coins to get

more Bitcoin but it's just it's easier just to just buy the Bitcoin you taking

a huge risk but and then a lot of people that buy all coins they they value their

wealth in dollars they don't value their wealth in Bitcoin and they just want to

make more dollars out of it but you're right there are all coin traders I've

had some on the show before they just want to make more bitcoins so they say

so they say um and you know I would just say to them it's gambling it's gambling

and it's it's easier just to hold the Bitcoin and occasionally get some crypto

dividends and stuff but thank you Agartha for that fine super chat I

appreciate all the the longtime viewers and they're super chat donations and the

new viewers everybody found that like bun bang that Bell button if you want to

remind her when the show goes live alright so I've been talking to a guy a

crypto guy who is in Santiago and he says this still a very early stage and

he says Argentina is the big place there is a huge correlation to chaotic

economy Chile is stable so adoption lower than Venezuela Argentina Brazil

Mexico yeah exactly and this is this is a good point Chile

where I am right now is clearly the wealthiest country in in South America

and so they don't need Bitcoin here they're living well

their currency isn't being inflated they're inflated away they are able to

buy things they have a lot of luxuries here there's not horrific poverty

here such as other countries have traveled to and it's a Matta these other

when we're talking about Venezuela they need Bitcoin and this is this the

amazing thing that you know we go back to the top of the show there there are

definitely individuals out there in these countries that are being hyper and

flailing away they need to preserve their wealth somehow and this is how

they're doing they need Bitcoin this is the easiest way so it's already being

used and again so and so I can I talked about the the all point Raiders and the

people who want to invest in companies those are what those are what Western

world problems those are the United States type of problems that's why you

know most all core traders probably here in the United States else they don't

have to work they don't need Bitcoin I don't need a Bitcoin I wouldn't die if I

didn't have big fun I wouldn't become poverty-stricken if I didn't have

Bitcoin it's great it's preserving all sorts of wealth it's better than owning

real estates better than it's better than so many things but just because

it's veterinary doesn't mean I needed in these other countries like Venezuela is

way they need it and so here in Chile they don't need it yet so it hasn't

really the community here is not as large as what this guy is telling me

hopefully I'm gonna meet with this dude soon and I'll have some more insight but

no running around the streets here in Chile and Santiago I haven't seen

anything big from relating uh-huh you know I think here on the Indian my

little Internet realm here I hear about my bed as well and friends are telling

me much more about Bitcoin all the time I'm hearing more about it in Mexico from

Daniel for maybe so it's you know it's different worlds of different reasons

why it becomes bigger in different places but here in Chile which is the

wealthiest country in South America no there isn't

haven't noticed that yeah now so I going to email me right away and I know

Gabriel who's a Canadian who lives in Chile Chile he knows about you know he

deals with crypto and everything and he's got a was he Fort Gault over there

but that's not a crypto based thing he knows about for it too

maybe he could talk more about this I have him in the show I guess okay I'm

gonna have him hopefully on the show soon actually I'm a demotion big clown

measure disrupt meister remember subscribe like this video show

you check out the links section below I'll say hi to strong hand dude strong

hands let's see how to you in the chat now

Sian "But, this is too scary.." [The Return of Superman/2018.09.23] - Duration: 13:06.

You've all done this before, right?

- Yes. / - Yes.

Both Seola and Sua were good at it before.

You were very good at climbing up.

I couldn't do it when I was a baby.

You couldn't do it a few months ago too.

- Now you're a few months older. / - Yes.

- You can do it now, right? / - Yes.

(Three months ago, the trio went wall climbing.)

- They took on wall climbing three months ago. / - Yes.

Sian thinks he was a baby three months ago.

(Seola climbed up successfully.)

She was very good.

(Sian took on the challenge too,)

(but he failed.)

(This is scary.)

(He couldn't go beyond 3m.)

- Goodness. / - That's right.

His grip wasn't quite developed enough.

I'm going to get serious from now on.

(He sure knows how to talk.)

You're going all the way up there.

Come over here. Come on.

This time, the trio will be taking on

an 8m bungee jump.

Jumping after making the climb qualifies as a success.

- 8m? / - I'll be watching.

It's scarier up there.

That would be scary even for adults.

We are

- the trio. / - The trio.

They're making their resolve.

- Let's go. / - Let's do this.

Well, they're off to a great start.

That's the spirit.

The Return of Superman, episode 243.

"I Support Your First Tries".

("I Support Your First Tries")

I'll try first.

Kids.

This is the same idea as last time.

Going up is the same idea.

As expected.

(It's higher than expected.)

Donggook has great form

whatever activity he undertakes.

- His form looks great. / - Just look up, okay?

I don't think you guys can do this, though.

After touching this, you just jump off.

Do you have a person you love?

I love you, my dear trio.

Then make the leap.

(He successfully jumps.)

Easy, right?

- I want to go first. / - Me first.

- I want to go first. / - Me first.

- Just have confidence. / - They're fearless.

Seola first.

(Seola goes first.)

(Are you going to be okay, Seola?)

I'll show you how this is done.

Okay.

(Seola is the queen of undertaking challenges.)

(At five years old, she parasailed)

(and soared into the skies over Thailand.)

She did that when she was five?

(My goodness.)

- Gosh. / - Are you okay?

Is she scared or full of leisure?

(Saying hello leisurely)

(The two sisters took on great challenges.)

Try it. Go on up.

(Their attempts continue.)

Begin.

(Seola begins to make the climb.)

Make sure not to look down.

You're good.

(She heads up relentlessly.)

(I'm Seola, and I can do it.)

I don't have to look.

I can do it.

That's right. Not looking down is the key.

She wants to look down.

There you go. Just look up.

- You can do it. / - There you go.

- Just keep going. / - You can do it.

You're almost there.

There you go.

(She places one foot on the platform.)

- Just step sideways. / - I'm scared.

- I'm scared. / - You're almost there.

(Legs trembling)

I'm scared.

Step off to the side. You can do it.

(Seola's view)

I'm scared.

Step off to the side. You can do it.

There you go.

You'll be safe even if you fall.

You're great. Good.

Applause. Make sure to clap, kids.

- My palms are sweaty. / - Mine too.

(Proud)

- It's encouraging to / - Look forward.

hear cheers from below.

You have to heap them with praises.

(Now she has to come down.)

You're doing great. Hold the line.

Captain Seola, if you leap,

Daddy will catch you.

No.

Should I help you?

- Come down. / - Or else, come on down.

- I'm scared. / - Oh, no.

He's talking like it's easy from below.

Hold on.

I think she's momentarily forgotten what she has to do.

Don't cry, Seola. You can do it.

Don't worry and just jump.

Just close your eyes.

Look at him.

He can't even stay centered on the ground.

I'm scared. I'm so scared.

Okay, the instructor will get you.

It's okay. Just getting up there is commendable.

- It's really something. / - One, two, three.

She did so well.

(Shutting her eyes)

I'm scared.

Even getting up there is difficult.

You did so well.

Getting up there is good enough.

Let's go, Sua.

(It's mighty Sua's turn.)

(Nothing is impossible for her.)

I'm scared.

Sua can't jump either.

I'm scared.

Just jump, Sua

You're not one to speak right now.

(Well, I'm just saying.)

Just hurry up and jump.

Do you think you can't do it?

(Eventually, she couldn't jump either.)

Now it's my turn.

- Are you going now? / - And now,

- Yes. / - it's up to Sian to redeem his sisters.

- Don't look down. Just look up. / - Will he be okay?

Why is he so ambitious today?

- He can't get a foothold. / - He's having fun.

How cute.

(What are you doing, Sian?)

Can kids his size do this?

He's too light. I'll bring him up,

leave him up there and come back down.

The line actually has some resistance.

If I don't cry and come down,

does that mean I did well?

Yes.

Okay, stand right here.

Should we hook you in? Hold on.

That looks scary.

Right. It's scarier up there.

- Dad, catch me, okay? / - Okay.

- I'll go down. / - Sua and Seola.

Did he just leave him up there?

I'm scared.

Right?

- I'm scared. / - Oh, no.

Who do you love, Sian?

I'm scared.

- Daddy. / - Me?

- Can you be brave like me? / - I'm scared.

Just hold on to that then jump off.

I'm scared.

- Just face forward. / - Save me.

I'm right here.

You should come up here, Dad.

I'll catch you when you come down.

No, if you come up here,

I'll jump off.

- You can do it, Sian. / - I'm scared.

He just wants his dad to come closer.

Look over here.

Are you brave or not, Sian?

I am,

but this is too scary. I don't think I can.

I'll catch and hug you no matter what.

You're amazing, Sian. You're so brave.

(That's true. I'm brave.)

(Just then...)

- He jumped. / - He's jumping.

(He let go.)

You can do it.

(They're surprised.)

He's amazing.

You can do it.

(Sian bravely succeeds.)

Did I jump with my eyes open?

(Donggook is totally proud.)

Yes, come here.

(Both eyes wide open)

From a dad's perspective...

I jumped with my eyes open.

Fathers feel proud

- when their children accomplish things. / - Of course.

- You opened them. / - I did.

(Applauding)

Sian is a great kid.

- I opened my eyes. / - Whose is this?

(Chuckling)

I opened my eyes.

(Even he himself is in disbelief.)

I'm good at everything.

Hey, Sian. Let's do a ceremony.

Here goes.

(He jumped with his eyes open.)

- Can you do it again? / - No.

I'm done for today.

- He won't do it again. / - Of course.

Once is enough.

I bought a lunchbox for all of you.

What?

What did he bring?

- Here. / - I'm hungry.

I'm hungry.

(I'm going to eat everything.)

(I'm hungry)

(I'm hungry for your love)

(Fire)

Gimbap is the best at places like these.

I didn't cut them on purpose.

How should you eat them?

There you go. Good job.

Gimbap that is not cut is delicious

- but it's for grown-ups. / - It's so good.

They're amazing.

- Get a good bite. / - She eats so well.

Chew well.

Water.

What? Should I buy some water?

- Yes. / - What?

Chew well. I'll come back with water.

This is good.

(Sua is into eating.)

- The sun is setting. / - I know.

Will we be able to go home?

I think there's going to be lightning.

Do you know what lightning is?

- Yes. / - What is it?

If you get hit by it, you become all bones.

- Just like a cartoon. / - Right.

(Suddenly, it begins to pour.)

It's raining.

One rainy day,

a student placed her head in her hands.

She didn't even study.

(She's suddenly telling a horror story.)

(They heard this story before from Donggook.)

(Terrifying)

(Totally frightened)

She remembers it, and now she's retelling it.

She didn't even study.

But...

Did she not have any legs?

So she crawled like this.

(The horrific point has arrived.)

(What?)

It's all about timing.

- It has to be gradual. / - Right.

Ghosts...

- There are ghosts. / - They can come out.

There are no ghosts in Korea.

They exist in other countries.

There's none here.

(Suddenly...)

(A strange levitating object suddenly appears.)

What's going on?

(Is it a UFO?)

Look over there outside the window.

Look.

Something passed by.

Only Sian saw it, right?

- I'm scared. / - Right.

It's always scarier when you alone saw it.

Seeing it alone.

When you're the only one seeing it?

There's something there.

What?

- "A toy..." / - Over there.

What do you mean? There's nothing.

- What? / - What's there?

- There's nothing. / - Didn't you see it?

What was that?

(What did I just see?)

I should go check it out.

(Sian places the chair back before heading out.)

He's going out, isn't he?

How brave.

(Scampering)

He's curious and brave.

I need an umbrella.

How startling.

(He needs to take an umbrella.)

(Is this the right direction?)

(UFO signaling)

What is going on?

(Looking around)

(He walks the scene very carefully.)

(Creeping up)

(Swallowing)

(Rummaging)

I'm scared.

(What is that?)

(He stumbles backward.)

(What will happen to Sian?)

Answering Your Questions: "Is Manipulative Marketing OK?... "Why Work Hard?" and more! | DM06 - Duration: 36:40.

Today we're going to do something a little different:

We're going to answer questions from the community.

My neck is still--

Hey guys,

as you can see, it's 5:50.

So, I woke up really late today.

I want to just remind you guys that Dark Mode is not about burning yourself out,

it's simply a mode of being.

A mode of living efficiently, productively,

working towards your goals, your greater goals, whatever those are.

And it's, again,

it's not about burning yourself out.

It's about moving with the river.

If you feel tired, take a nap.

If you're hungry, eat something.

If you're thirsty, drink some water, you know.

That's what Dark Mode is about.

Anyways, a little late.

So, to save some time, I'm going to try one of these caffeine pills.

Again, the last time I tried one was the first day of Dark Mode,

and it made me a little jittery.

But I'm going to try it this time with a little bit more water.

And then we'll see.

So, sparkling water,

zero calorie,

healthy.

When you only drink water,

things like lemon or sparkling water make a big difference.

Anyway, let's keep going.

So, as you guys may recall from yesterday,

I now no longer have a shower door.

So, I'm just going to shower in the corner

and hopefully too much of it doesn't splash onto the floor.

Hey guys, so

welcome to day 6 of Dark Mode.

Today we're going to do something a little different:

We're going to answer questions from the community.

It's been a couple of months now since the channel has kind of taken off,

we've received thousands of comments and questions which, thank you, again.

And so, without further ado, first question:

And I'm going to paraphrase just to save a little bit of time,

but Serge asks: "How are you able to put that much attention into your work,

especially when you realize that money isn't the only thing that makes you happier.

I run a marketing team, nobody's watching me anymore.

So, somedays I procrastinate,

other days, I don't work at all.

It's become harder and harder to get back to work as I now have enough money where I don't have to always be thinking about money.

I'd rather put my time and energy into self-development in other areas that attract me,

like spending time with nature, etc.

For me this is strange how you are able to focus on your business that much when you know you can do other great things,

like dancing, training, reading.

Don't you have enough money to break for a few years and only focus on the things that you love doing?

If work is one of those things, how is it that you are able to maintain enthusiasm after all of these years.

Thanks in advance".

Thank you Serge, this is a really fun question for me.

A couple points there,

one is I do love what I do.

And I think the reason that I love what I do,

and the reason that I've continued to maintain enthusiasm for what I do is because,

I know that it is a means to an end.

So, truthfully, the day-to-day aspects of work

I don't enjoy them as much as I used to.

So, right now, I'm the owner of my company, right?

I run a 40-plus person team.

There are a lot of days where I have to do ownership type stuff.

When I first created my company, I was building every single website.

I was the creator.

I would say a "web designer",

and I love to create, I love to design.

That's my passion.

And I no longer do that.

But, I still love what I do because I know that it is enabling me to do other things,

that it is a means to an end.

My greater goal in life is to massively positively affect change in the world.

I don't know exactly how I'm going to do that but,

I do believe I'm going to need tremendous resources to do that.

I do believe that I'm going to need to set examples

and so, I think that by creating this business, by creating other businesses,

and showing that by doing the right thing, by caring about your customers,

I think that if I could show that a business can actually make more money by caring about people, by doing the right thing,

and I'm positive that this will help me in my path to massively positively affect change in the world.

Yes, I could travel.

I could spend all day salsa dancing.

Right now, I could leave and go to China and live there for the next 50 years,

and probably not have any financial worries.

But, I'm really going for it, and I have the confidence.

When I look into the camera and I say: "My goal is to massively positively affect change",

I don't just think that, I know that.

I'm positive that I will.

I'm positive.

I have got a lot of work to do to get to that point,

but I'm confident in my ability to do that work.

As for maintaining enthusiasm, as for,

you know, why I never procrastinate,

it's because I know on a root level what fulfills me and so,

if I even start to procrastinate, which I can't even remember the last time I procrastinated because it's just--

I know immediately that that's not bringing me closer to my goal.

And that makes me not feel good.

So, I think when people procrastinate, they often,

whatever they're doing, makes them feel good.

And if that's the case, is because they don't fully understand what it is that they're doing.

They don't understand the negative impact of procrastination.

I think I do.

It's taken me a while to fully understand, internalize that,

and so, that's why I don't procrastinate.

That's why I work as hard as I do.

And then coming back to setting an example,

I think it's important that you know,

that one of the biggest reasons I think people are really enjoying and relating to my content is because

it is authentic on many levels.

So, you get to see a person who is,

is working on their business all day, but is still making time to develop other aspects of their being.

And I'm not perfect in that development.

I'm trying to figure things out as much as you guys are.

You know, I think I have some of the stuff you guys most struggle with,

I think I probably have a better grasp on, but,

believe me, I'm struggling and trying figure things out just as much now as I was four years ago, ten years ago.

So, anyway,

Serge, I hope that answers your question.

Thanks for asking it.

I'm going to meditate and we'll see you guys in the next clip.

Alright guys, time for salsa.

Again, we're running a little late today.

So, it's 8:30 a.m.

I'm going to continue to just focus on weaknesses.

I'm a little sore from yesterday's leg workout, so...

which is good because my weakness is upper-body.

So, I'm going to try to not move my legs too much.

Although I probably will, just because I love dancing now and I--

Once it gets into me, it's kind of hard to

to not let it express itself outwardly.

But, we're going to continue working on upper body stuff.

See you guys in the next clip.

Alright guys, it's 9 o'clock.

I dont want to spend all of my energy.

So, we're just going to go straight to the gym.

Let's go!

Also before we head out, I'm feeling hungry.

I've already done a lot of activity today, and I'm still on zero calories.

So, I'm just going to have a quick shake with MCT oil powder.

I'm going to do two scoops of this.

I already drank a good amount,

and I'm going to drink the rest during my workout.

So, I really like Sunday's because nobody's here,

the music's a lot lower.

Music kind of distracts me.

And also, I'm really enjoying this reduced volume.

I feel very, very fresh, even though I worked out my upper body just a couple of days ago.

So, we're going to see how quickly we can get in and out,

hit everything really hard.

I'm also going to add some high intensity stuff to the end of my workout.

I think now that I'm doing less volume,

my muscle is not as destroyed by the end of the workout,

and I think the high intensity stuff is just really good for getting a little boost of growth hormone,

and I think it's just good for creating more definition, which is something I want.

So, anyway, let's get started.

One of the other perceived weaknesses that I have in the gym is, after I finish each circuit,

I think I need to be more conscious of focusing on returning to my breath,

trying to get to a normal resting heart rate as quickly as I possibly can before I move to the next circuit.

I'm positive that with my mind

I can affect how quickly I get back to a rested state so that I'm ready to begin my next circuit.

So, I talk about this a lot ON and OFF, ebbs and flows,

you know, working and not working.

The OFF part is, I think and I found, just as important as the ON part.

And that's the part that we most tend to neglect, right?

We're so focused on being ON that we forget that ON doesn't exist without OFF,

and if you maximize your OFF, you're going to maximize your ON as well.

Just some food for thought.

OFF.

Focus.

Relax.

Breathe deeply.

Slow.

Now let's [bleep] do it again.

Doing some high-intensity and then I'm done.

High-intensity bursts,

each 20 second burst is going to be followed by a 10 second rest.

So, I basically do that for 8 cycles, and that'll be--

That'll be my Tabata high-intensity training session.

So, I'm going to use the row machine.

I'll try to take my legs out because they're already sore.

A little over 30 minutes.

That's a good workout.

I feel good.

So anyway, let's see how this goes.

Time to get back, get some breakfast.

Alright guys, so I'm back from the gym.

Instead of going straight to breakfast,

I'm actually going to bust out one more Pomodoro.

The reason I'm going to do that is because I'm waiting for a delivery from Rappi,

which is the supermarket delivery service here in Colombia,

and they are delivering vegetables.

I'm going back to vegetables

I miss my vegetables so much,

food is just boring without them.

I think that if I eat vegetables in excess that begins to create problems for me,

I mentioned it in earlier videos.

That's just my body.

I don't know, I can't explain it.

But they just taste so good.

And I'm just getting tired of eating plain eggs every day.

So, anyway, I'm going to bust out a Pomodoro.

I'm going to get back to focusing on AgentFire stuff.

We're making great progress with the tour page.

I saw this morning,

here's a--

Here's the current progress on it, so you can see it's coming along.

It still needs all of that content,

but the basic structure and idea is there so,

while I have people working on graphic assets for that page,

and continuing to work on the mobile optimizations,

I'm going to work on the actual content itself.

The page needs a couple of new videos.

I already filled the script for the commercial that's going to go at the top of that page.

So, I'm going to just start working on that and hopefully make a ton of progress on that today.

So, without further ado...

Alright guys, so today's a glorious day:

I'm back to vegetables.

If you guys know what I like to do,

is just make a fresh mixture of all the vegetables that I'm going to use for a couple of days.

So, this is bean sprouts,

tomatoes,

red onion,

jalapeños,

and mushrooms.

So, we got a tablespoon of coconut oil in the pan.

I'm going to go like this, with my hand,

and just throw it on there and all of its gloriousness, and mix it around.

Oh my God!

I missed vegetables.

So, we'll save this for later.

A little onion powder.

Also some crushed red pepper.

I like my stuff spicy.

And...

let's go 3 eggs.

One.

Two.

Let's get about 50 grams of parmesan cheese on there.

Let's just get about 50 grams of kimchi as well.

Time to eat.

I'm so happy to be eating vegetables again.

Oh man!

So good.

Missed it.

So, I'm going to eat this real quick.

Again, the macro should be on the screen right now,

and when we come back, we'll answer another question from the community.

Alright guys, so the next question

comes from Sam Fromaway, and I'm going to paraphrase.

If you guys want to read the question you can just pause the screen right now.

Sam asks a two-part question:

One is, you now talked about the issue of consumerism and happiness,

but what is truly required to be happy and fulfilled?

and then he links to a Yale study.

First thing I'll say is,

any study that is trying to quantify something within a scientific realm that is just not scientific,

I completely disregard.

Especially studies with happiness.

I mean, their subjects is so much--

I think the scientific method has its place and, as far as studying our emotions,

I don't think that's one of them.

When it comes to happiness and fulfillment, what I found personally in my life, is

to have a big goal that extends beyond myself.

So, that means just beyond myself, to other people, my family, children, future generations.

I have a big goal,

and to make progress towards that goal, to me, is happiness.

That's fulfillment.

So, every day that goes by that I feel like I'm making progress towards that goal,

I feel happy, I feel fulfilled.

If I don't feel like I'm making progress towards that goal, I don't feel happy I don't feel fulfilled.

And I do have lots of days like that.

So, his second question, and I'm going to paraphrase,

How should one ethically start a real business in the capitalist environment?

Is it okay to do things like Machiavelli's law,

which says that you can technically do bad things like manipulative marketing if the outcome is good?

Can I trust myself to validate if my business really does something good?

So, it sounds like you're asking if you can-

If it's possible to have a business that does the right thing and it's still profitable, it's still a business.

And my answer to that is yes, a resounding yes.

We are now in an age where--

We're in an age of unprecedented transparency,

meaning that, if you're a business and you do the wrong thing,

let's say your corporation your dumping crap into a river,

maybe in the past you could get away with that, right?

You could pay off news stations, you could do it in a way that was just kind of hidden from other people.

Now it's kind of hard to do that when everyone has cell phones,

that everyone can go online and publish things on their facebook that could potentially go viral.

YouTube,

Yelp,

Amazon reviews.

We're now in an age,

and I think companies are just starting to understand this,

that you actually have to do right by the consumer, by the end-user,

if you want to be successful, if you want to be profitable.

If you're building a business to screw people, there are a couple things there:

one is, and I'm not suggesting that you're doing this,

but I'm just saying, from a macro level, the businesses that really are to screw people,

they're going to get screwed.

And they're going to get screwed in a big way ,

because again, collectively our voices are being heard more and more.

So, if I see a company that's doing something inappropriate

I can share that and that has a potential to go viral.

And with my business, we've actually-

We do very little marketing.

We have the best reviews in the industry, and we have hundreds of the competitors.

But the big reason that my company has continued to grow and grow it is specifically because of reviews.

Because I understand these transparency aspects.

So, whereas all of our competitors have not done the right thing by their clients,

and you can see that in their reviews.

You can see their reviews are like 50% good, 50% bad.

Our reviews are literally 99% good.

So, when someone is making the decision between AgentFire,

between my company and like, four or five other companies,

once they see the reviews, they're going to go with us nine out of ten times.

In fact, as I continue to grow AgentFire, and I will go on to other businesses,

and I believe I will make billions of dollars,

I hope to set an example of doing the right thing.

And I do believe that.

We're now entering an era where it is more profitable to do the right thing.

You also asked about Machiavelli's law.

I think that anyone that thinks that they are above certain tactics,

needs to take a really good look at things.

We are all part of the human experience,

and so, there have been times, even within my own business, where I've made decisions that just weren't smart.

We used to have all of our product demos,

we used to have real designers doing the demos.

And that was great, people loved that.

And that was the right thing to do

because the designer is going to have the best interests of the end-user at heart, versus a salesperson.

But it was impossible to scale, right?

I was trying to do something that was really good for the client,

but at the same time it was hurting my business, and really it wasn't necessary.

And now, we have a product specialist,

and what we've done to make sure that they're not like over selling things or lying is

we give them bonuses based on whether or not clients leave us good reviews,

and we don't give them commission bonuses.

Interesting, huh?

So, and that's a big part of the reason we have so many positive reviews is

we actually don't have any sales commissions.

We give bonuses based on positive reviews.

So, my entire team is basically incentivized to make sure that our clients are extremely happy.

I placed a financial incentive on our clients happiness.

Our clients happiness creates financial abundance within our team,

that's a really, really good thing.

But as far as Machiavelli's law, as far as marketing,

you do have to play the game a little bit.

I mean, that's part of the human experience.

You have to play the game.

And there was a time where, again, I wanted to--

I thought, in my head, I started to develop a spiritual ego,

and I wanted to transcend the human experience right?

I wanted to like be above it.

And now, I realize that that's not where I want to be.

I want to be in the human experience,

and so, and I think the key is to just move gracefully within the human experience.

And I think it's okay to play the game, right?

Maybe use titles that draw a little bit more attention,

again, play the game, but move gracefully.

And I would also add that if your company,

if you, let's say, you send out a newsletter, right?

and you have a really clickbaity-type title,

just make sure that you have really good content accompanying that title,

so you're playing the marketing game, but at the same time make sure that if you promise something,

make sure that you deliver on it.

Because, again, that's just important.

We're now at a time where if you're promising something and you don't deliver on it,

people aren't going to be happy, and they're not going to buy your stuff,

and they're not going to leave you a positive review.

So, anyway,

hope that answers your question

12 O'Clock.

I'm going to take a nap and get back to work.

Alright guys, a quick snack.

So, I'm going to have a Quest bar.

I kind of been having a sweet tooth the last couple of days so,

I try to just eat all real food, but it's Sunday.

So, I like to heat this up, microwave it,

45 seconds.

And I also have 50 grams of pecans roasting.

Once they're done roasting,

I'll spray them with coconut oil, a little bit of cinnamon, tiny bit of salt.

It's ready to eat.

Alright guys,

I'm ready to make this commercial, so,

I'm just going to relax my hair with some chemical straightener.

Trim the beard,

shaved a little bit, get nice and pretty.

And I'll see you guys on my treadmill, where I'll be filming this next commercial

I think I'm going to do all our Agentfire commercials from the treadmill from now on.

Alright guys,

I may have left the chemical straightener in my hair for a little too long

We just finished the commercial for AgentFire that I've been working on for a little while.

We'll show the raw version of that somewhere on the screen right now.

I'm also going to upload a quick story to my Instagram, which I am getting better at.

Make sure you guys check me out @NelsonQuest.

Also, as you guys have noticed,

I actually don't wear pants in most of my videos.

That is an inside joke for me.

I guess it's not an inside joke anymore since I'm sharing it with you guys

If you guys see me in a video where you only see the waist up,

like 90% chance that I don't have pants on.

Maybe even higher.

I'm back to vegetables.

Today's meal, tablespoon of coconut oil.

We're back to vegetables.

We got a delicious onion, jalapeño,

bean sprouts and mushroom mixture.

So, we got 75 grams of liver,

and then let's go with...

125 of salmon.

That's roughly 125.

So, I'm pouring this into a bowl because I'm also going to mix in some of my favorite

spicy mayonnaise, and this is going to mix nicer when I have it in a bowl like that.

So, I'm also going to mix in some

spicy sauce.

So, I figure this is about 1 tablespoon.

Alright guys,

macros should be on the screen.

Or maybe you already saw them.

I'm going to eat this and then we're going to respond to another question from the community.

All right guys,

so, I'm going to hit my next Pomodoro,

but before I do that, I'm going to answer one more question from the community.

So this question, I think this is kind of a fun question.

So, it's from Callem Taurerewa,

and so, he asks: "How do you get to be good-looking, financially successful, and motivated all at the same time?

Not coveting, just wondering"

And so, I know that's kind of a weird question to pick,

maybe it sounds like an egotistical question to pick,

but I think it's a fun question to actually go through and explore a little bit.

As far as the good-looking part, I've considered myself--

I think for most of my life, I haven't been good looking.

I talk a lot about when I was 13 years old and,

there was a point where I literally had no friends because of my physical appearance.

I had so much acne, you won't find a single photo of me that exists during this time.

I remember literally physically ripping up any photos that I found.

I was hideous to the point where I would be speaking to someone

and I would feel them like just moving away from me, not wanting to be in a conversation with me

because of just how ugly I was, and how didn't want to be seen talking to me, right?

This was my junior, my middle school experience.

I think that anyone can be reasonably--

I don't think that I got, if you look at my features like,

I don't have the best genetics, I don't think I'm like naturally a good-looking person.

But I think that anyone could be reasonably good-looking if you like comb your hair,

if you brush your teeth, if you workout, if you eat healthy.

I think that anyone can be reasonably good-looking.

And I think there is an objective basis,

like pretty much universally accepted objective basis for what good-looking is, right?

Which is generally, you know, in shape, nice teeth, hair combed, nice clothes.

They don't have to be expensive clothes, but just nice clothes, just well-dressed.

And also your energy is part of that too, right?

Your confidence.

But confidence comes not--

It shouldn't be something that you fake,

it should be something that you develop as a result of the things that you have accomplished,

but we'll talk about that in another question.

So, I think a lot of my desire to project myself as well as I can to the outside world comes with the understanding,

again, I talk about this a lot too, that I'm trying to move gracefully through the human experience.

There was a time where I thought: "Oh, I don't care what other people think",

and you hear people saying that a lot, "I don't care what people think".

And I'm not saying that you should care what people think to the point that you are a slave to what they think,

but you should care what they think insofar as just your place within within the human experience, right?

And I think it's actually a form of ego to think that you're above that.

But what's really interesting with me is, I see everything through,

I literally see everything through the eyes of my 13 year old self.

I talked with my teacher about this a lot, like seeing everything through the eyes of my 13 year old self,

and we talked about how that's been a major fuel source for me.

I even, the other day, a taxi was going by and I saw a girl checking me out.

And I winked at her.

I don't know what happened.

I just winked.

And I felt in that moment that it wasn't like me winking,

it was just 13 year old boy doing that.

So, honestly a lot of the stuff that I do as far as presenting myself, my physique, and overall just health,

being financially successful, doing the right things,

that kind of creates motivation for me, like a lot of my motivation comes from

achieving and being the things that my 13 year old self always kind of, in a very distant corner of his mind,

like wished he could be.

And thought he could be, a tiny bit, really.

My 13 year old self was very hopeless, but he always thought that was there,

and so, once I started to actually accomplish things, you know,

take care of myself, get attention from women,

I saw it all through my 13 year old self.

And, if I had to give you one reason why,

I don't know, all of this, just proving to that 13-year-old boy that

I could do all of these things and be all of these things that that 13-year-old boy really didn't fully believe that I could be here.

Anyway.

I don't know, I think that was a fun question to go through.

I'm going to launch this next episode of NelsonQuest,

and will answer one more question before the evening is over.

Hey guys,

so, I just got done uploading a new video to the channel.

It's titled "We found human remains in a ruined Church in an abandoned city".

Awesome video.

But anyways, check it out.

So, for the last question of the evening,

why don't we just go ahead and use the the first comment on that video.

It's from The Wise Owl, and it is:

"I'm curious why you would eat ham, eggs, meatballs and cheese if you want to have a healthy diet.

Cholesterol it's not part of a healthy diet."

The first thing I'll say is,

of all the food items that you listed, the ham for the most part, I would avoid ham just because it's so processed.

But "cholesterol is not part of a healthy diet",

that is not a fact, that it's an opinion.

And I have a different opinion,

and my opinion is that cholesterol is part of a healthy diet.

I eat a lot of cholesterol.

Foods that are high in cholesterol,

and all things considered, I feel really good.

I have a lot of energy.

I want to just make very clear, I try to make it very clear when I make these videos,

I am on a ketogenic diet.

Most people do not understand that diet,

and most people just refuse to accept that that diet could potentially be--

Most people won't even consider it, and that's fine.

And that's fine.

We have a lot of people watching NelsonQuest that are vegans and vegetarians,

and I completely respect your dietary beliefs.

I would never want to or try to impose my diet on someone else,

and as much as I can, I try to say whenever I'm eating food,

I try to say: "Guys, this is what works for me and may not necessarily work for you".

For this Dark Mode series, I was only eating meat, kimchee, fats and nuts.

And I actually stopped eating vegetables.

And I'll tell you what, I don't think I felt as good as when I do eat at least a little bit of vegetables.

When I eat too much vegetables, I start to get a lot of gas, I get constipated.

I don't know, that's just me.

And everyone is different.

If you guys have a diet that is working for you, by all means, please do not get diet advice from me.

But I follow a ketogenic diet.

I feel the best I've ever felt.

I've been in the ketogenic diet for close to a year and I've never felt this good,

I've never been this sharp mentally.

100% it's because of that diet, because of the things that I eat.

So, yeah, I strongly but respectfully disagree with the claim that cholesterol is not part of a healthy diet,

and I would even go onto say that I don't think there's a person on this planet that truly, truly, truly, truly knows what a healthy diet is anymore.

So, anyway guys, that's the final question of the evening.

As I mentioned, I got a bunch of replies to comments that I need to reply to,

so, I'm going to spend the next couple of Pomodoro's working on that.

It is Sunday,

and then I'm going to hit the sack, wake up and do it all over again.

So, I'm filming this whole series without knowing how it's going really,

so, I hope it's going well.

If you guys think it's going well, can you guys leave a comment in the comments below?
