Les Brown: Standing Up for Yourself ( Les Brown Coaching ) - Duration: 8:56.

Overcoming the negative conversation that in a dialogue is going on all the

time all the time even when you don't want it to be there you can't stop

yourself right now from thinking you can't do it it's going on and so

learning how to empower yourself part of doing that is standing up to yourself

you've got to stand up inside yourself sometimes and say shut up

you've got to do this I was going to give a presentation and this voice

inside of me saying you can't do this you don't have everything it takes us

shut up yeah behind on my bills are you telling

me what I can't do I have got to do it

you get scared sometimes your mind will go blink on you

some people will you will allow to unnerve you and you wonder what's wrong

with me I'm not crazy that's why you've got to learn to make a conscious

deliberate determined effort to stand up inside yourself working on yourself

watching that inner dialogue it will determine the quality of your life so I

say to you that there is a mother Teresa in you this will work for you to do I

say to you but there is a Nelson Mandela in you but that kind of commitment that

kind of spirit that kind of personal power that kind of vision of allowing

yourself to be used by life is in you that all of us came here to do something

to make a difference and in a historical context the world will never be the same

again because you came this way anytime somebody asked me how I'm doing

I say I'm doing better than good and better than most and sometimes even

better than that let me tell you where I got that from when I was involved in

broadcasting I used to have the first hour of my show as a disc jockey in

Columbus Ohio I used to give an inspirational program and that was the

lady that used to call me by the name of Audrey Pell Moore

Audrey worked at University Hospital Audrey was an enthusiastic personality

that everybody liked her I mean she had a radiant smile and she was just one of

those people you'll meet one of those people that everybody just like me she

was one of those kind of folks Audrey became stricken with muscular

sclerosis at a very young age and after a while she became confined to a

wheelchair she had children and because of her physical deterioration she could

no longer take care of her children and she had to be confined to a nursing home

Alum Creek nursing home on Nelson Avenue in Columbus Ohio

Audrey used to have the nurses at the hospital call the radio station and put

the phone to her ear and she would ask for a certain request

and I would ask her to say a few words to the listening audience one day while

I was doing my program I got a call from one of my regular callers young lady by

the name of Shirley Shirley in this particular day there was a sound in her

voice and I detected that something was wrong and she said to me it's nice

talking to you less I'll be seeing you and that's the wait wait hold a minute

Shirley there's something wrong she says there's

nothing wrong I said there is Shirley I know you come on Shirley what's wrong

where Shirley had been diagnosed as having cancer the breast and they told

her that she had a 60/40 chance of not surviving during the time that she had

had a medical examination her husband had become distant through the pressure

of losing her husband and the illness she just felt hey I'm not the kind of

person that can handle suffering and I rather just end it quickly she was at a

critical point in her life and this is the option that she decided to take I

did everything I could to discourage her to give her a reason to want to go on

living I was trying to find something that she can hold on to that would give

her a sense of hope some thread and then I used scripture and everything and one

of my fallback positions lord grant me the serenity to accept the things that I

cannot change the courage to change the things that I can and the wisdom to know

the difference and she didn't budget that did not work

and I was out of my arsenal of what can I do to hold on to her to get her to

change her mind to create a shift in her thinking and the thought came to me I

said Shirley could you wait until tomorrow she waited for a long time

before she had M said she said why tomorrow I said because if you wait

until tomorrow I'd like to take you by to see audrey parramore you remember

Audrey that I talk about all the time on the air she said yes I like her I would

like to meet her and she met me at the alum creek nursing home and when we got

there we were both very silent because I've made a pact with her that if this

was not enough to discourage her from taking her life then I would honor our

agreement and I what just release her and I was going to

talk to somebody else to try and get I didn't tell her that as we walk down the

hall I did not know exactly what to expect I had not seen Audrey for some

time when we walked in the room there Audrey was all twisted who physically

deformed she had no voluntary use of her arms she couldn't even fan a fly out of

her face she couldn't get up and move around and we had to get closest to her

because her vision was blurred and she can't speak very loudly and I'm hearing

was somewhat impaired and as we drew closer to her I said Audrey this is les

and I have a friend with me named Shirley how you doing Audrey and with

what strength she had she said better than good and better than much and

Shirley I know as the tears began to form in our eyes I know she had to be

thinking that here this woman is she's been on her back a prisoner in her body

for 17 years she can't turn us up she can't get up and go to the restroom she

said to be less I'd love to be able to get up and walk out of here with you I'd

love to be able to take care of my children to be a mother to them to see

them graduate from high school she said les I can't do that and I'm doing better

than good and better than most Shirley had to be saying within us up what right

do I have to feel sorry for myself what right do I have to cry out why me and

she decided and left there with a commitment that she wanted to live with

whatever time that she had left that she had no right to cut the time off she had

no right to do that and she left it with a new determination a new spirit about

her and that's something about what we have that you have there sometimes your

options are frozen see Audrey can't walk out of a hospital she did not have the

capacity to take care of her children but she had a freedom of spirit and

that's what we have wherever we are whatever hand that life has dealt

us we have the freedom of spirit we can go through life whining and weeping or

we can have the kind of spirit that people will say hey there's a blessing

to be around that person the staff at the hospital used to go in her room to

be encouraged and inspired by her because she didn't feel sorry for

herself and she didn't go through life blaming everybody I'm reminded by a

young guy who was on a bus a little young fellow and some kids were picking

at him some bigger guys they kept on thumping him on the head and hiding

their hands and so he got tired of them doing that and he stood up so he would

not be around them out of their reach and they took him and said sit down set

him down and he stood back up so I don't want to sit down he said sit down didn't

we tell you pushed him back down I don't want to sit down he said sit down and

they held him down and he looked at him he said you might hold me down but I'm

standing up inside myself and what we have got to do is know that there's

something about you there's something about us there's a power in you that

regardless of what happens to you you can stand up inside of yourself I think

that's what the port meant when he says out of the night that covers me black as

the pit from pole to pole I thank whatever God's there may be for my

unconquerable soul you have an uncomfortable soul

Meditation for OVERthinkers: How to Meditate When You CAN'T STOP THINKING - Duration: 11:08.

Are you an overthinker too?

I've got five tips for you that are going to help you master the chatter and finally

be able to meditate, are you ready for this?

Before we jump in, if you're new to my YouTube channel, be sure to subscribe and hit the

bell for notifications of new weekly videos that I put out on Boss Lady Mindset, Habits,

Productivity and Emotional Wellness to help you crush your goals not your soul.

Tara Wagner: Hey, boss lady, I'm Tara Wagner, your breakthrough coach helping you to get

it done, but feel great doing it.

In this video I want to talk to you about meditation for overthinkers.

Oh my goodness, I so get it.

I struggle with the same thing.

When I was first sitting down to meditate, my mind was all over the place.

Mostly back and forth all over my to-do list, but you get the drift.

I was really at a point where I was thinking that there was just no way, my brain wasn't

cut out for this, I'm a fast thinker, I'm always thinking, I'm always in creative mode,

there's way that I can shut my brain off to be able to sit and meditate, right?

Tara Wagner: Then, I had a lovely little smackdown from the swami who love to give smackdowns,

who basically told me that I was missing the whole point.

Meditation is not for people who are not thinking, meditation is for people who are overthinking,

that's the entire purpose of learning how to meditate.

If you feel like you can't do this, and it's not possible for you, that's exactly what

meditation is for.

I'm going to walk you through five tips that I've discovered, and that were given to me

as well, that have helped me to really be able to master this thing, to be able to shut

my mind down, to be able to learn how to meditate over time.

Tara Wagner: Now, here's the thing, this is not going to be easy in the beginning, you've

got to understand that.

That you're not going to be able to just stop thinking, you're a human being, your brain

is supposed to be thinking all the time.

I don't want you to feel like you can't do this if you can't do it right away.

The truth is, most people who get to the point of not thinking, have been practicing meditation

for, I don't know, like decades.

If that's not your goal, you can still get some great benefits from meditating, even

if you are an overthinker.

You just need to know how to do it in a way that's not going to drive you bat-bleep crazy.

Am I right?

Tara Wagner: Let's jump in with tip number one.

Tip number one is to be comfortable.

I used to think that I had to sit cross-legged, in a lotus position, with my hands out, and

that was the right way to meditate.

The truth to the matter is the right way to meditate is whatever you need to do to make

sure that you can sit comfortably and meditate without being distracted.

For me, I choose a comfortable chair that's cushioned, I put my feet on the floor, I close

my eyes, and I just sit comfortably.

I'm upright, but I am not too stiff.

Sometimes, I'll even lay down and be able to meditate.

Tara Wagner: Now, the problem with that is you run the risk of falling asleep.

Usually when I'm doing this, I am doing at night, so that if I fall asleep, it's no big

deal.

If you have a hard time sitting comfortably, I recommend that you do some things for your

body ahead of time.

Maybe you're doing some stretching, maybe you're going for a walk, whatever it is that

you need to do to just feel good and be able to sit still longer.

This is actually how yoga came to be.

It used to really just be about meditation until some people were like, "Hey, I'm having

a hard time sitting for five hours at a time in order to meditate."

They were like, "Here, try some stretches first."

Then, yoga turned into what it is today.

It doesn't matter how you sit, it matters that you sit.

Choose a place and a space that's comfortable for your booty, and plop it down.

Tara Wagner: Tip number two is to keep it short and simple.

The longer you try to sit, the harder it's going to be to not think.

You don't have to sit there for 30 minutes to an hour in order to call it meditation.

Three minutes is long enough, especially in the beginning.

As you start with three minutes, as you get really good at that, you'll slowly be able

to add more time to it and you'll want to add more time to it.

But if you keep it short and simple in the beginning, you're going to have very little

resistance to it.

Your brain is not going to tell you, "Oh, we can't do this.

It's too much time.

We can't sit there that long.

We don't have the time for it."

You're going to have no resistance whatsoever.

Everybody can make time for three minutes.

So start small, start simple, and keep it easy for yourself in the beginning.

Tara Wagner: Tip number three is to commit to the same time every day.

The reason for this is that you're trying to ingrain a habit into your brain.

If your brain gets into the habit of getting up in the morning, going to the bathroom,

brushing your teeth and then sitting down for three minutes, it starts to become such

an ingrained habit that pretty soon you can't go without it.

Otherwise you'll feel like something is missing.

That's what you're going for.

Choose the same time every single day.

Tara Wagner: Now, in terms of the best time, really the best time is when you're not going

to be disturbed.

This is going to be different for everybody, however I will say this is why most yogees

will meditate between 4:00 and 5:00 a.m., the reason being is that there's less pulls

on their energy, the whole world is asleep, you're not thinking about what's going on

in Facebook, or what emails you have to answer.

You're able to really give yourself permission to just be still, because you don't have things

pulling you in million different directions, you don't have the energy of the world awake

and vibrating around you, so you can really sit and focus better.

Tara Wagner: However, 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. might not work for you, and that's okay, choose

a time that does when you're going to be undisturbed.

Whether that is first thing in the morning, or before you go to bed, or three minutes

in the car before you walk back into the house.

All of those are totally okay.

What matters the most is that it is consistent, and it's the same time every single day, so

that you can really ingrain that habit.

Tara Wagner: Tip number four is to use grounding oils.

I really like the essential oils of frankincense and sandalwood for meditation.

Sandalwood especially, because it really calms the system down.

I will use these over my pre-frontal cortex, this is the thinking, worrying part of your

brain, it's doing all the planning for tomorrow, the part that won't shut off, that's right

here.

I'll also put it on the back of my neck.

This is right over the brain stem, and again, it helps to just settle your nervous system

and your body so that you can calm down a little bit better and be able to meditate

a little bit longer.

Tara Wagner: I also did a video not too long ago about an oil called Console.

Console actually includes frankincense and sandalwood in it.

It's usually used for things like grief, but it is amazing for meditation as well.

Be sure to check out that video, I'll link it above as well as in the description below.

Tara Wagner: Tip number five is to stop trying to stop thinking.

Again, you are a human being.

Your brain is going to go.

The whole purpose of meditation is to not stop your thinking, the purpose of meditation

is to learn how to separate yourself from your thoughts, to be able to observe them

so that you can better question them, and so that they don't carry you away.

In fact, an analogy that's used a lot and that I love and have found really, really

powerful in my meditation is to think of your thoughts as something floating down the river.

Tara Wagner: If I notice myself in meditation getting washed away with my thoughts, I'm

thinking about my to-do list, I'm thinking about something that happened earlier in the

morning, I will stop and notice them as though they're objects in a river.

I'll watch them go by.

I'll actually visualize myself stepping out of the river, watching my thoughts go by.

Then I'll turn my attention back to my breath.

Tara Wagner: Now, again, it is normal to have to do this over and over and over again, like

literally every two or three seconds.

Don't get frustrated.

That is the purpose of meditation is to do this over and over, and over again.

Because as you do it, you're ingraining that habit into your brain of, "Hey, I don't need

to get carried away with these thoughts.

I'm the observer of these thoughts, I can question these thoughts, these thoughts are

not in control of me."

Tara Wagner: Now, one tool that can help you to do this is using a guided meditation.

However, I have found that a lot of guided meditations are actually guided visualizations,

which is not helping you to train yourself to separate from your thoughts.

I really don't like those, but I have found a guided meditation that I love.

The reason that I love it is that it's actually four meditations in one.

There's a three-minute meditation, a seven-minute, an 11-minute and a 30-minute.

This way you can start simple, and as you get really good at that three-minute, you

can start practicing the seven-minute, and so on.

Tara Wagner: Also, the reason that I love this is because it's a true guided meditation.

It's guiding you on how to slow down your thoughts, or to observe your thoughts, and

in every single one of those meditations, it has quiet space.

No sound, no visualizations, just you with your breath.

But before you get there, it guides you on how to use that time so that by the time you

get to that quiet part in the meditation, you actually know what you're doing.

This is a really powerful meditation.

I highly recommend it.

I'm going to put a link to it in the description below.

Definitely check that one out.

Tara Wagner: All right.

Now you know how to start a meditation practice as an overthinker, but here's why I want to

give a little plug for my free Self-Care in Seconds training.

Lumion Livesync Tutorial | Lumion 8.5 for Sketchup - Duration: 5:32.

What's happening ladies and gentlemen,

this is Minh from Architecture Inspirations.

Today, I'm going to show you some tips and tricks

for using Lumion LiveSync in Sketchup. Let's get started

So what is Lumion Livesync?

Lumion Livesync is a plugin

that lets you sync your Sketchup model to Lumion

so that you can work on both models simultaneously.

This feature is also available for Revit and Archicad

but I will focus on Sketchup in this video.

Let's start with the Installation.

To install it, first open up your Sketchup model,

and go to the Extension Warehouse,

then search Lumion Livesync,

and download then Install it.

If you use Revit or Archicad then follow these links here.

Another way to install the plugin

is to open up a browser and go to this link

Then download the plugin.

And in Sketchup,

you can open the extension manager to install it.

Now that the plugin is installed, let's launch it.

But first, we need to launch Lumion.

Next, I'm going to choose one of these scenes,

I'll just choose this one

Then I want to set the windows side by side, so first,

I'm going to go to settings and exit Full Screen mode.

Now I can place the Lumion window on the right

and the Sketchup window on the left like so.

Then I can exit the settings in Lumion.

Now on the Lumion Livesync tool bar,

I can press this button here to start LiveSync.

As you can see, when you turn on the plugin,

it will automatically import the Sketchup model into Lumion.

And if you move the camera in Sketchup,

Lumion will automatically adopt the camera perspective.

If you have multiple monitors,

you can place the Sketchup window on one monitor,

and the Lumion window on the other monitor like so.

Or if you're doing a presentation,

you can place the Lumion window on the projector's screen

With Livesync,

you can make changes to your Sketchup model,

and it will update immediately in Lumion.

For example, I can move objects,

Or even hide and unhide objects.

And it will be reflected in Lumion

This makes your work easier and faster.

Instead of using Livesync on an existing model,

I can also start with a blank Sketchup model.

And then import components from the 3D warehouse like so.

After that, I can make changes

such as deleting these trees in Sketchup

and adding trees in Lumion

Or changing Sketchup materials to Lumion materials

to make it more realistic.

such as adding ivy on these walls

or changing the ground material

Also, any changes that I make to the materials in Sketchup,

will be reflected in Lumion as well.

Now let's go back to my main model.

For this model, I actually worked on it already,

and I have a finished Lumion file saved here.

So I'm going to open it.

As you can see, it is not syncing anymore,

But since this model was synced

to the same Sketchup file with the same name,

I can just click here to restart Lumion Livesync.

And now it's syncing again.

When you save the Sketchup model as a new file

under a different name,

it will also stop the Lumion Livesync function.

To reconnect the two models,

First you will need to start Livesync again.

When you do this, it will start syncing,

but there may be some error like this.

To fix it, select the imported model in Lumion

You can see that it's disconnected

So just click this button here to reconnect it.

And there we go, now it's syncing again

As mentioned before,

Lumion will automatically adopt Sketchup's camera perspective.

A cool tip when using Livesync,

is that you can play with the field of view

to create interesting views.

First, click on the Zoom icon in Sketchup.

Now change the field of view by typing in a number.

For example, I can type in 60 and press enter

for a wider angle perspective

Or I can type in 1 and press enter

for a field of view that's similar to a parallel perspective.

Pretty cool huh?

Another cool trick that helps your model look even better

is to build with effects

First, go to Photo in Lumion.

Now you can add any effects that you want here.

I'll just click here and choose one of Lumion's preset.

then I can click on this button here to Build with effects.

You can see that now the model looks even better in Lumion.

However, the Field of view seems a little off.

So let's go back and double click this slider,

then change the field of view to 35

And press on this button again.

There we go!

I actually have created my own presets here

so I'm going to use them.

One is for day time,

and the other one is for night time.

Remember that you can always unsync the camera

by clicking this button here.

Now you can move around in Sketchup

without affecting the camera view in Lumion.

This is great for when you want to make changes in the model

while looking at the camera view of the final image.

And that's how you can use Livesync

to make your work better and faster in Lumion.

That's all for today guys,

leave a like if you enjoyed the video,

comment below if you have any questions.

Stay inspired guys, and I will see you,

next time ;)

First Bitcoin - Naira POS Transfer - Nigeria and Pundi X move for African Crypto adoption - Duration: 5:04.

Hi guys it's Majesty Ibianga here with the Financial Drive-Thru, where we help you

get an edge in the cryptocurrency and financial markets through up to date

news, information and everything you need to get settled in the space. And I've got a

good one for my Nigerian viewers today. I stumbled upon this tweet, it's by PundiXLabs

I think that's PundiX, the company and

this is the first live bitcoin to Nigerian Naira transaction on XPOS

terminals and this was done successfully in Nigeria. Here they are thanking the

team and the MD of Joetech system and the NPXS contributors for their

support. so we're just gonna cut straight into the video and see because

I'm quite excited about this - I've been talking a lot about mass adoption and

especially in Africa where not much stuff is happening in Crypto, this is a huge deal

so I'm gonna play that right now (trails off) - '' The Xpos in my hand we've got 0.01 btc

or 1000 NPXS tokens and I will be spending out of my

0.01btc to do a 200 Naira transaction.That is the cashier, and I've

just popped into the store and the POS is giving me three options

To pay cash or to pay with an XPass card or XWallet

if you pay with Xwallet you can do so

you can see the camera here you can use to pay with a QR code

all you need is just to scan a QR code on the X wallet and then you can scan

the QR code with the Xpos.

Today we use the XPass

So I've just click on the X pass and it's asked me to use PundiXPass

I've clicked on the Pundi XPass and see what's gonna happen it's

given me the options to either pay with different currencies that are supported at the

moment - we've got BTC, Ethereum, NPXS token and Binance token

I'm gonna choose BTC at the moment and if you can see, it

automatically calculates for you the accurate coin market cap rate from

converting the digital currency we have chosen which is Bitcoin

to the local currency which is naira and you have two seconds lock-in period to

safeguard the consumer and the merchant and right now I'm just gonna click on

that

there we go. Thats the FIRST live transaction in Afirca, it happened in Nigeria. Blockchain adoption is possible

thank you for a wonderful community and thank you for

all these wonderful people who sacrificed their time for me for two days! for two

days!! for two days!! thank you everybody made my day thank you to all my

management as well as PundiX. we said we gonna do this and we're doing it. I will

continue to collaborate and partner with people that believe in the adoption and

scalability and speed of blockchain.thank you everybody

We will continue to crack the code as usual. Thank you.'' That was a good one, not exactly the smoothest demo

I saw the guy have some issues but all in all, I think it was a pretty good effort and i'm

quite pleased with the fact that this is happening actually in Nigeria because you

know we've been going on and on about mass adoption and use case scenarios and

while I still don't feel that a lot of people are gonna jump on this in the

sense that people still haven't reach the point where they are willing to use

their crypto to buy things like coffee and the regular miscellaneous use cases,

but it does show that we're getting out there and so this is huge

so since I saw this I've reached out to PundiX to see if I can get to speak to

someone in their team, I'm optimistic and I hope the size of my channel isn't

exactly an issue but yeah that's definitely something to look forward to

and I want to know your thoughts in the comment section of the video let me know

what you think about this, is this a huge deal? and I'd love to know what this

means to you in the comments so do let me know. I checked out the PundiX

website as well, they have some pretty good things lined up and I'm gonna link

the website in the detail section of the video so you can look it up yourself as

well. if I do hear back from them favorably, I'll be doing a more in depth

review on this and I definitely love to have you around for that so if you like

this kind of content, do smash the like button definitely hit the subscribe

button so you can catch my other videos as they drop, and if this is your first time

watching (if you're a first time 'driver') I really love to have you stick around so

i'd love to have you hit the subscribe button - I do these videos a couple of times each week

so about three or four videos each week and my basic aim is to make sure that

you get an edge in the cryptocurrency and financial markets by staying up to date with trends ,so I'd love to have

you around and show you some more stuff that's going on in

crypto so stay tuned and once again, my name is Majesty Ibianga and this has been

another edition of the Financial Drive-Thru

LIKE, STAY STILL AS SHE COULD, AND THEN...

-THAT'S WHAT WE DID. -...JUST KIND OF GO WITH IT.

IF SHE LETS THE GUY GET -- EITHER ONE SIDE OR THE OTHER,

BUT IT LOOKS BETTER WHEN THE GUY GOES, I FEEL LIKE --

YEAH, I WOULD THINK.

YEAH, I DON'T THINK YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A PROBLEM.

Y'ALL PROBABLY ALREADY TALKED ABOUT IT.

-WE HAVE, YEAH. -THAT'S HOW YOU --

WELL, GOOD. I'M EXCITED.

SO, I WAS THINKING, "YOU KNOW WHAT,

I WONDER WHAT IT FEELS LIKE." SO I PRACTICED ON MY HAND.

I THINK PRACTICING ON MY HAND WAS JUST TO SEE

WHAT IT FELT LIKE FROM HER SIDE, PROBABLY.

I MEAN, YOU CAN'T KISS A TREE AND EXPECT TO, YOU KNOW,

SEE WHAT IT'S GONNA FEEL LIKE FOR HER.

AND SO IF YOU KISS ON YOUR HAND, YOU CAN FEEL,

"OKAY, MAYBE I SHOULD MAKE MY LIPS MORE FULL OR WHATEVER,"

AND KIND OF THINKING FROM THAT PERSPECTIVE.

YOU GOT TO -- YOU GOT TO THINK ABOUT IT.

GOOD BREATH.

MOM, WHERE'S THOSE BREATH SPRAYS?

-BREATH SPRAY? -YEAH.

What did I do with that?

Lauren: IT REALLY IS THE FIRST TIME I EVER KISSED A BOY.

REALLY, I THINK I JUST -- JUST WAITING AND JUST ANTICIPATING.

I FINALLY GET TO KISS HIM ANY TIME I WANT TO.

IF THEY MISS, GO FOR IT AGAIN.

JUST DO IT AGAIN.

START OVER.

IT IS INTERESTING TO THINK, LIKE,

THIS IS THE FIRST DAY IN MY LIFE

I GET TO KISS A GIRL RIGHT SMACK DAB ON THE LIPS.

I MEAN, THAT'S SPECIAL.

IT REALLY IS A SPECIAL MOMENT FOR US,

AND I'LL TRY TO MAKE SURE IT'S NOT JUST A PECK.

YOU KNOW, MAKE SURE IT'S GOOD.

IT'S REALLY HIM, I THINK, THAT, WELL -- KIND OF LEAD.

-YEAH. -BUT JUST WAIT FOR HIM.

THERE WILL BE FIREWORKS IN THE CHAPEL.

CANON EOS R vs NIKON Z7: Full Frame Mirrorless Review for PHOTOGRAPHERS - Duration: 11:21.

what's going on guys today we're going to talk about the canon eos r versus the

nikon z7 for photographers in the video coming up alright guys so i'm gonna

quickly go through all the specs and then i'm gonna get into details about my

opinion about certain features and functionalities for photographers

alright so I'm gonna put Canon over here and I'm gonna put Nikon over here

starting out with price the Canon is $2,300 the Nikon is $3,400 this is just

for the camera body both are full-frame mirrorless cameras

the Canon has 30 megapixels the Nikon has 45.7 megapixels for image

stabilization the Canon does not have image stabilization the Nikon has a

sensor shift five access five stop image stabilization in continuous mode Canon

does eight shots per second Nikon does nine shots per second however there is

an asterisk next to that and I'll get into it

a little further in the video the ISO s go really high but I'm not going to talk

about that because usually you want to keep your ISO low so for me having the

lowest ISO is important so Canon goes all the way down to a hundred ISO Nikon

goes down to 64 ISO and then you can extend it has the extended or expandable

is oh so Canon goes all the way down to 50 where Nikon goes all the way down to

32 both cameras have a hundred percent for coverage in the viewfinder now when

it comes to screens can and obviously wins here they have a pull out screen

the Nikon has a tilt screen which is nice but obviously the cams better

because it pulls all the way out it articulates whereas Nikon just tilts

both cameras are environmentally sealed now the autofocus points Canon has 5655

auto focus points Nikon has 493 what odd numbers but anyway Canon obviously wins

with five thousand autofocus points plus now we'll get into the specifics of

autofocus shortly shutter speed is the same so they both go from 30 seconds all

the way to 1 8,000 of a second both have no built-in

flash which doesn't really matter you're gonna want to use off-camera flash

anyway you can see more of my videos about that right here now card slots

both only have one card slot I know if some people don't like that for me it's

not that big of a deal Nikon has XQD card slots whereas Canon

has SD SDHC and SDXC UHS two card slots battery life is pretty much the same

Nikon goes for 330 shots Canon goes a little longer 370 shots alright guys

let's talk about the autofocus I think Canon wins with the autofocus it it has

throughout time for the dual pixel autofocus is amazing Nikon is also very

good so both are gonna be very good one thing disappointed me with the Canon

dual AF autofocus you can adjust the speed and smoothness of the dual pixel

autofocus however you can't do it with face tracking so to me that's a real

letdown because I'm a portrait photographer so I need that tracking

when I'm taking people's pictures so if I can't really adjust the speed of that

it's kind of annoying without the face tracking however I could still put like

the point on the person's face it's not a huge deal it just would have made my

life a lot easier and obviously the Canon 1dx the super

high-end is gonna be better because it has this so there are limitations to

this autofocus when you put Canon on single point autofocus you're able to

shoot eight frames per second however when you put it on continuous mode which

obviously you're going to take it in a row it should be on continuous mode it

goes down to five frames per second so I'm not sure if it's a true eight frames

eight shots per second so with this Nikon obviously wins with a nine shots

per second with all that said I think if you use a single point canons autofocus

is still going to be better than Nikon however in burst mode of your sports

photographer you want to go with the Nikon at nine frames per second alright

so let's talk about the lenses both have a new selection of lenses because they

have new mounts on the cam this is both a plus and a minus so if

you've invested in two cannon or you've invested in two Nikon all these years

don't feel like oh if I get this camera now I can't use my lenses no they both

have adapters where you can use your lenses and you'll have full

functionality both for a Canon and Nikon so that's a huge plus now before we get

into the lenses I will say the adapter is going to be better for Canon so they

not only just made an adapter but they made an adapter that goes between the

lens and the camera and you can put filters in there so you can put ND

filters I think you're going to be able to add other filters as well and because

you can put the ND filter in this means you can stop down the light you don't

need something in the front this is a tremendous advantage especially for

people who are gonna be doing both photography and video and because of

this the Canon is gonna be a much better vlogging camera than the Nikon also

factor in the pull out screen and I would go with the Canon now Canon also

offers more than one adapter so on one of these adapters you can actually move

the ring and you can adjust the white balance on the front of the lens you can

adjust the ISO so you're gonna have more functionality with this adapter ring I

think they're gonna upgrade it with certain firmware updates so this adapter

actually enhances functionality with Canon whereas Nikon it basically stays

the same to me it's a little bit of an annoyance to have an adapter I've never

really liked it but with Canon it makes a little more sense than the Nikon now

here's the thing these new lenses that Canon and Nikon made for these two

mirrorless cameras are super sharp they're going to be as sharp or sharper

than any of your other lenses you made so that's both good news and bad news

it's gonna be good news for photographers but it's gonna be bad news

for your pocket for how much money you're gonna have to now dish out for

these new lenses on the downside there's only four lenses for each here are the

Nikon lenses

alright guys you see the largest lens the 58 millimeter 0.95 that's gonna be

great in low light it's gonna be the sharpest lens you also have the 24 to 70

this is the only zoom lens so it's versatile then you have a 35 millimeter

1.8 and a 50 millimeter 1.8 which both are going to be tack sharp here are the

Canon lenses

okay so with Kannon you have a versatile 24 to 105 then you have a 50 millimeter

1.2 that's right one point to a 35 millimeter 1.8 both are gonna be tack

sharp and then you're gonna have a 28 270 f2 that's right zoom lens at f/2 if

I had to get one lens for each I would get the Nikon 58 millimeter 0.95 it's

gonna be the sharpest and the best in low-light with the Canon the 50

millimeter 1/2 is incredible so those two lenses you can't go wrong alright

guys now let's talk about the ergonomics the Nikon camera was made in Japan I'm

not sure about the Canon but I know that Argonauts are better on the Nikon I have

to say Canon made a few mistakes so they changed on the back of the camera they

have this little trackpad however this is where most photographers keep their

thumb when they take pictures all right have you press this trackpad and then go

into it and actually slide back and forth it's gonna get in the way of your

photography to me this was a huge mistake that Canon made with Nikon they

basically kept it the same they made it feel almost like a Swiss

watch where everything was really nicely made and fine-tuned now don't get me

wrong both cameras are really well built they're both weather sealed however the

Nikon just has a nicer feel for where all the switches and buttons are and

features on the camera one of those features is the top of the Nikon it has

a little display screen on that screen it actually goes dimmer or goes brighter

based on the light or shadow where you are so having that is a huge advantage

because if you're taking pictures in low light it's not going to be too bright

where it takes away or add something to the image where you can actually see it

or it screws up the viewfinder so Nikon took all these little things into

consideration now speaking of ergonomics one thing

that Canon did much better than Nikon was they added a barn door in front so

because these are large sensors you're going to

a much greater chance of getting dust inside on the camera sensor so this can

be super annoying Kenan added this barn door which is awesome amazing I wish

Nikon had done it too it's a great idea however it's only in Canon one thing

that annoy me about Canon is that when I use the silent mode it only works in

single photo modes so I can't use that in burst mode so that was kind of a

disappointment but overall I think if you're looking for the best autofocus I

think you're still gonna get it from the Canon if you're gonna get the best image

quality I think you're gonna have to go with the Nikon the ergonomics are also

better with the Nikon if I had to choose one or the other and I was strictly a

photographer I would go with the Nikon now with all that said if I was using

this camera both for vlogging and for photography I would go with the Canon

it's just going to be better video it's gonna have the articulating screen

alright Canon just historically and with this camera is better for video

especially with the adapter being able to add two ND filters now Nikon has

definitely improved but it's not there yet

guys this was just a quick review I'm gonna be doing more reviews with both

this Canon and Nikon camera next month hands-on reviews photoshoots etc so I

left out a lot of things in this review because I wanted to make it short and

just to the point so if there's anything you want to see in a future review with

Korean traditional roof tile to be named 'treasure' for the first time: Official - Duration: 1:07.

South Korea recognizes tangible cultural assets that carry higher importance as 'treasure.'

For the first time, traditional roof tile, as a piece separate from a house, is granted

that title.

Choi Si-young explains why "Giwa" deserve that recognition.

The Cultural Heritage Administration announced on Tuesday it will soon designate the traditional

Korean roof tile as a 'treasure'.

Baked from mud, the roof tile, also known as 'giwa,' characterizes the nation's traditional

wooden architecture.

Giwa dates back to the ancient kingdom of Silla, where the tiles were produced under

a very high artistic standard.

Buddhist paintings and a bronze drum used in Buddhist ceremonies will also be named

treasures.

The Buddhist paintings are part of an exclusive and rare group of Buddhist art pieces from

the 18th century, while the bronze drum is quite significant also because its has the

year it was made marked.

In addition, the cultural agency selected a letter for treasure.

The letter was written by a king during the Joseon dynasty, and it was addressed to the

king's vassals, who were granted special royal privileges for their distinguished service.

Choi Si-young, Arirang News.

Pascal's DM Message for "Our Voices - Our Life" - Duration: 12:22.

I received my diagnosis on March 11, 2016.

This was exactly 5 years after the Tsunami struck Japan.

In fact, my brother made the connection, since he lives in Japan.

It's a date he will remember all his life.

So, I was lucky in the misfortune, at the beginning I had difficulties to walk

and for that I decided to go see my GP

and he, after a quick examination, he pronounced the word Steinert (Myotonic Dystrophy type 1)

- as he is a GP -

and by the fact that he had this suspicion, he sent me directly to a neurologist,

and the neurologist took about 5 minutes to diagnose that actually,

I was affected by the Steinernes disease.

He even congratulated the GP because it was not his domain at all.

My GP had remembered a neurology class he had, and so, it was really a chance.

It was a "strong hit on my head", but it was also a relief in the sense

that there were a number of things that I had a lot of trouble doing.

For example, at one point I moved a couch with my father

and I had a lot of trouble.

And at one point I let go, because I just did not have the strength.

And my father looked at me as if I was the person who was unwilling,

who did not want to and who was a lazy.

Having my father looking at me like that, was quite difficult.

And the day I had my diagnosis, it explained all the little worries I had in the everyday life.

In that sense, it was a relief, and of course, and my father's perception changed completely.

Now he has a lot of compassion, understanding and when I have a little worry

he comes running to my house to help me.

It completely changed that part of the equation.

So, obviously I started surfing the internet and I found a site

- in addition to everything you gave me, and you gave me a lot of information -

and I found a site called "www.maladiedesteinert.info"

which will share information when there is for example a discovery about Mexiletine, which you sent me.

2-3 days later I received an alert saying that Mexiletine had been tested

and I think every time when a new scientific paper is published,

they send an alert and I have direct access to the article.

Yes, I think my knowledge is more or less up to date.

And then also AFM-Telethon, they send newsletters

when there is a new paragraph on Steinert's disease.

What I discovered in my research,

and I think people will not like to hear this,

but it is that conventional medicine

- traditional medicine -

can not do anything for us.

I went to see the best specialists at the CHUV (University Hospital in Lausanne),

but I knew in advance that they can not do anything for me

and in fact the knowledge they have is only empirical, observing all the cases that can

perhaps help to make syntheses and deductions.

But there is no medicine

and based on this observation, we must find something else.

So I turned to several therapies,

including kinesiology, which works on cellular memory,

as far as I know, on the micro-kinetics that seems to work on the genetic spine,

which is a fairly new discipline, and of course naturopathy,

who works with Chinese medicine, acupuncture, and also with energetic medicines.

What naturopathy brings me is the nutrition aspect.

I think nutrition is absolutely essential to manage all the irritations we have,

to handle a few things better.

To manage the intestinal flora.

Because from the moment that the flora is in order, everything else is much better too.

From a medicine point of view,

I also take a lot of natural food supplements to be sure to feed all the physical aspects.

I also consider all the metaphysical aspects that are a little more delicate,

but I can talk about it if you would like me to.

Six months after being diagnosed, I became a vegetarian

and now, I think, I will take another step towards veganism, which is called "vegan" in English.

It's been 25 years since I avoided cow's milk, it seems pretty obvious,

and now I will try to avoid cheese.

It is very acidic and very irritating on the GI-system.

And also pepper,

All that is ultimately harmful to the intestinal flora.

Let's say that there is also a negative aspect in the sense that the diagnosis,

lets me say that I am ill

gives me an excuse for not doing certain things.

But then, it still started with some weird steps

and at that time, I was still doing mountain hiking

and I realized that I was having more and more trouble.

I found many excuses. I changed shoes,

I had a good meal before a hiking tour,

I told myself I must exercise more

and I inflicted some incredible stuff,

when I got to my car - it was mostly downhill where I had a lot of trouble -

I was almost in tears. I was so exhausted,

I was so much in pain and feeling so bad.

And then morally I said to myself "but it is not possible".

There is no reason why I can not do what I've always done, which I enjoyed doing.

So there, we must accept the fact that for me the mountain tours are a little bit over.

In fact, it's completely over.

It's all the more frustrating because when I came back to Switzerland,

now it's been 3 years, I thought it'll be fantastic.

I will do all the summits with my son,

to make him discover all this part of my life that I had before,

and now I cannot do anymore.

That's a little bit over. It is completely over.

For the mountain hiking part there is no strategy, no solution. That's quite certain..

The best strategy I have is to move on. It is to heal.

I would say, to move on.

It's a whole process, I have a friend who did a lot of work on it.

It's a bit the same for people who have an accident at work, who lose all ability to work.

He wrote a paper about all the phases, in fact, the phase where we have the diagnosis,

there is still a descent.

And then there is a recovery to reach a phase of serenity.

I am not there yet.

I was discussing with the other guests a little earlier,

explaining them all the aspects and everything I was looking for on the outside,

regarding alternative treatment options.

I think that the importance of what I do

is in fact to look for solutions at the inside.

I believe that healing will come from there.

For the time being we know, that there is no "magic pill" for us.

I do not want to wait for this pill "hanging arms", as it may come or maybe not.

What is certain is that all the "inside" work that I can do,

meditation and analyze my dreams, I think it can help me.

Already mentally, it can help me in this process of acceptance.

It can really help me overall:

mentally, physically on the whole of my person. This is a rather holistic approach.

Understanding "the outside" but also an important "inside" work, can really help me.

Acceptance and serenity, I think, will let me go much further.

What is important is the way, not the destination, in fact.

This Is A Really Interesting Sum To Do For Your Accountancy Practice - Duration: 1:59.

Hi it's Rudi here. Just looking at some simple numbers...

Yesterday I was speaking to an

accountant and he said to me he's just done an

acquisition and is very excited. I said "Oh

brilliant well done! What's the

turnover of this new practice you've got?"

He said "well it's about £1.3 million turnover"

Hey great, and in the conversation I asked staff

numbers, how many people in total? 30

staff members, 30 members of

staff. I thought well that's an

interesting number but it's interesting

for me because in my practice I think

turnover is about £1.1 million and we have

nine full-time people, yeah nine

full-time people and two full-time

outsourced people. So interesting when you do

the numbers because you take his

turnover numbers and divide it by his total heads

it works out about £43,000 per

head. In my case £1.1 million divided by call it 11 heads

it's about £100,000. So for me that's a

very simple sum to make. Take a practice,

take the turnover, divide by total heads

and get a number. And it's interesting

that that sum tells us so much about

what's going on. You know is the staffing

working correctly? Are there

inefficiencies? Are the systems working

like they should? Have they automated?

Whatever it might be that number

tells you a huge amount so just an

awareness that I thought I'll share with you. It's

a question I asked some of my clients a

while ago as well but you know what is

this whole turnover versus heads range and

interesting the ones that were

struggling with profitability and cash

flow had the lower numbers closer to £35K

to £40k and I think the agreement

was it about £100K per head turnover wise in total is a

good number to aim for.

So hey, leave your comments and feedback

below, have a great day, bye for now
