How long should your resume be?

One page? Two pages? Three pages? More than four pages?

Coming up in this video I'll explain the required length of a resume.

Hi I'm Matt from Zoodal.com.

On the Zoodal YouTube channel we create weekly videos to provide you

information guides and strategies for resumes, cover letters

job interviews and employment questions.

If you're new to this channel consider subscribing to the weekly videos.

There's a lot of debate about how long a resume should be.

Many people believe that a resume should be no longer than 1 page in length.

This is based on employers spending only 6 seconds scanning

a resume before deciding to accept or reject the resume.

Most people believe that in 6 seconds an employer won't take the time

to scan a 2nd or 3rd page of a multi-page resume.

Also, if you have more than 10 years experience with many

skills to display in a resume, it can be impossible to display all the details on

one page and still have the resume properly formatted and styled with

plenty of white-space to make the document reader friendly.

When deciding on the length of your resume consider these points:

Your resume is a marketing device for your future employment.

It's not a device to include all your employment details and all your skills.

Keep your resume concise and relevant to the job you're applying for.

Make the resume significant to the employment and employer by using keywords.

There's a link in the description below for a subscriber only video using keywords in resumes.

So how long should your resume be? Well there's no concrete answer.

The length your resume will be determined by your experience, skills, abilities & achievements.

If you are a recent graduate with no experience or just one

to two years experience, then your resume will most likely be 1 page in length.

However, if you have more than 10 years experience working for different

employers and you have a lot of specialized skills and specific

knowledge that relates to the job. Then your resume will be at least 2 pages in length.

Your resume may be longer than 3 pages, if you're a senior manager,

have more than 15 years experience, have noteworthy achievements and you've had

vast management and leadership experience.

Söax - When Light Is Put Away [lyric video] - Duration: 4:09.

There's been a death, in the opposite house / As lately as today

I know it, by the numb look / Such houses have, alway

The neighbors rustle in and out / The doctor, drives away

A window opens like a pod / Abrupt, mechanically...

When something broke, and let you from a dream.

Somebody flings a mattress out / The children hurry by

They wonder if it died on that... / I used to when a boy

And then the milliner / and the man of the appalling trade

To take the measure of the house / There'll be that dark parade...

When something broke and let you from a dream

WE GROW ACCUSTOMED TO THE DARK

WHEN LIGHT IS PUT AWAY

AS WHEN THE NEIGHBOR HOLDS THE LAMP TO WITNESS HER GOODBYE

WE GROW ACCUSTOMED TO THE DARK

WHEN LIGHT IS PUT AWAY

AS WHEN THE NEIGHBOR HOLDS THE LAMP TO WITNESS HER GOODBYE

And then, a day as huge / As yesterdays in pairs

Unrolled it's horror in my face / Until it blocked my eyes

And something's odd, within / That person that I was

And this one, do not feel the same / Could it be madness, this?

When something broke and let you from a dream

WE GROW ACCUSTOMED TO THE DARK

WHEN LIGHT IS PUT AWAY

AS WHEN THE NEIGHBOR HOLDS THE LAMP TO WITNESS HER GOODBYE

WE GROW ACCUSTOMED TO THE DARK

WHEN LIGHT IS PUT AWAY

AS WHEN THE NEIGHBOR HOLDS THE LAMP TO WITNESS HER GOODBYE

WE GROW ACCUSTOMED TO THE DARK

WHEN LIGHT IS PUT AWAY

AS WHEN THE NEIGHBOR HOLDS THE LAMP TO WITNESS HER GOODBYE

Is Cory Booker Running for President in 2020? | Heavy.com - Duration: 12:33.

Is Cory Booker Running for President in 2020? | Heavy.com

Senator Cory Booker of New Jersey has been viewed as a possible contender for the Democratic nomination for president in 2020.

He has not stated definitively that he plans to run.

But his appearances stumping for other Democratic nominees for Congress, as well as his performance on the Senate Judiciary Committee during the Brett Kavanaugh hearings, have raised speculation that he is indeed planning to challenge Donald Trump in 2020.

Here's what you need to know.

Senator Cornyn Accused Cory Booker of Violating the Rules of the Senate on September 6, 2018, in Order to Attract Attention.

On September 6, during the hearing for Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, Senator Booker argued that the hearing could not continue until any and all documents relating to the judge's record be released.

He threatened to release a batch of emails that were said to contain language about racial profiling.

The emails had been deemed "committee confidential.".

During the ensuing debate in the chamber, Republican Senator John Cornyn called out Booker, accusing him of making a scene in order to raise his political profile.

He told Senator Booker, "Running for president is no excuse for violating the rules of the Senate, or of confidentiality of the documents that we are privy to.

This is no different from the senator deciding to release classified information that is deemed classified by the executive branch because you happen to disagree with the classification decision.

That is irresponsible and outrageous.

And I hope the senator will reconsider his decision because no senator deserves to sit on this committee or serve in the Senate if, in my view, if they decide to be law unto themselves and willingly flout the rules of the Senate and the determination of confidentiality in classification.

That is irresponsible and conduct unbecoming a Senator.".

Senator Booker did end up tweeting out the documents.

However, Committee chairman Chuck Grassley then unclassified them.

It's worth noting as well that the emails in question were in fact already in the public sphere, having been leaked to the New York Times.

Nevertheless, the moment put Senator Booker firmly in the spotlight that week.

His statement that this was his "I am Spartacus moment" went viral and prompted a huge number of memes and social media jokes.

Senator Booker Has Spent Most of His Free Time in 2018 Stumping for Democratic Candidates for Congress.

In June of 2018, as reported by CNN, Senator Booker acknowledged that he was open to considering a presidential run.

But he would not make that decision until the end of the year.

"I'm not going to play coy.

I'm sure after the midterm elections, I'll give it a look.

But to me, my momentum, my energy, my focus is 2018 and making sure I get re-elected in 2020.".

Meanwhile, he has raised his national profile by traveling around the country stumping for Democratic nominees for Congress.

He has campaigned alongside candidates in at least 20 states including Wisconsin, Ohio, Florida, Virginia, Minnesota and Missouri.

It was recently announced that Booker would travel to South Carolina to stump for James Smith, who is running for governor.

South Carolina is one of the first states to hold primaries during presidential elections.

Senator Booker's upcoming appearance in Iowa has further raised speculation that he is going to run for president.

On October 6, he will headline the Iowa Democratic Party Fall Gala.

The fundraising event has been known to attract presidential candidates; Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders both spoke at the gala in 2015.

Booker Told Stephen Colbert in Early August That He Would Be Campaigning For a Second Senate Term in 2020.

Senator Booker played it cool during an appearance on the Late Show with Stephen Colbert in early August.

He discussed the nomination of Brett Kavanaugh to the Supreme Court, stressing that "a lot is at stake in this moment," especially in terms of health care.

During the interview, Booker encouraged young voters to cast ballots during the midterm elections and to speak up about the issues most important to them.

"If America comes out and votes, I'm confident the right thing happens… people tell me that things are impossible.

But this country's history is a perpetual testimony to the achievement of the impossible when people are engaged, when people get involved, when people don't treat politics as a spectator sport.".

Colbert asked Senator Booker directly what his plans were for 2020.

Colbert said, "I will let you off the hook.

And let you know that you are running in 2020.".

Booker laughed, responding, "I am up for re-election as a United States senator in 2020.

So I will be running in 2020.".

A Slight Majority of New Jersey Voters Feel Cory Booker Should NOT Run for President, But a Majority Do Approve of His Performance as a Senator.

On August 22, 2018, Quinnipiac University released a poll asking New Jersey voters how they felt about Senator Cory Booker.

When asked whether he should run for president, a slight majority indicated they did not believe he was ready for the White House.

51 percent of total voters said Booker should NOT run for president.

A greater number of Republicans felt this way: 73 percent.

As for the Democrats, 53 percent of those voters responded that Senator Booker SHOULD run for president.

The poll also asked voters how they felt about Senator Booker's performance on Capitol Hill.

56 percent of total voters approve of his handling of the office.

However, that support is very partisan.

84 percent of Democrats show a favorable opinion of Senator Booker, compared to just 15 percent of Republicans.

71 percent of GOP voters disapprove of Senator Booker's performance.

Senator Booker in May of 2018: 'I Love the Job I Have'.

In May of 2018, during an event at the University of Chicago, Senator Booker at first appeared to shy away from the idea of running for president.

He stressed that he loves his job as a senator.

But he again mentioned that he would not make any final decisions until after the midterm elections.

"I don't know what the future's going to look like in terms of who's running.

When President Barack Obama ran, everyone in my region was on the Hillary train but I saw something in him that really inspired me… We are a long way away from this.

Senator Booker seemed to indicate that he did not want to get caught up in the "mosh pit of names" of people running for president.

"Maybe there's going to be somebody that you and I both will say, 'she's the one' and 'let's get involved in supporting them.' For me, and I tell my team all the time and this is not being coy, I'm focused on re-election in 2020.

That's where my energy is, that's what lights me up in the morning when I get to go to work and represent my state and speak to national issues and drive the national conversation, I love all those things.

After the midterms, let's take a look at the field and make a final decision then.".

The potential field of Democratic candidates for president could include: Senator Kamala Harris of California, Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, former vice president Joe Biden, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand of New York, former U.S.

attorney general Eric Holder and New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu.

Rachel Mitchell Politics: Is She Republican or Democrat? | Heavy.com - Duration: 10:49.

Rachel Mitchell Politics: Is She Republican or Democrat? | Heavy.com

Maricopa County Attorney Is Rachel Mitchell a Republican or Democrat?.

Rachel Mitchell is the career sex crimes prosecutor from Maricopa County, Arizona who was chosen by Senate Republicans to question Dr.

Christine Blasey Ford during the September 27, 2018 Senate Judiciary Committee hearing into the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S.

Supreme Court.

What's known about her politics? Is Rachel Mitchell a Republican or Democrat? Mitchell is a Republican.

In a statement, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley confirmed that Republicans on the Committee had asked Mitchell to "question the witnesses scheduled to testify on Thursday at the committee's continuation of its hearing to consider the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to serve on the United States Supreme Court.

Rachel Mitchell, the chief of the Special Victims Division of the Maricopa County attorneyÕs office in Arizona, prepares to question Christine Blasey Ford on behalf of Republican members of the Senate Judiciary Committee in the Dirksen Senate Office Building on Capitol Hill September 27, 2018 in Washington, DC.

Mitchell is an award-winning sex crimes prosecutor in Arizona, although her position in Maricopa County has led some to attempt to link her to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office once helmed by Donald Trump-backing Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

The Sheriff's Office is a different agency from the prosecutor's office that has employed Rachel Mitchell for more than two decades, although the prosecutor's office handled cases referred by Arpaio's agency.

Here's what you need to know:.

Rachel Mitchell Is a Registered Republican.

Rachel Mitchell is a registered Republican, according to the Washington Post, which reports that she's worked in the Maricopa County office for 26 years.

She has donated to the campaign of Mark Brnovich, Arizona's Republican attorney general, according to The Post.

Brnovich's website describes him by saying, "Mark was sworn in as Arizona's 26th attorney general in January of 2015.

After defeating incumbent Attorney General Tom Horne in the Republican primary, he went on to defeat his Democratic opponent in November 2014.".

The website indicates that Brnovich worked in the same office as Rachel Mitchell: "Mark met his wife Susan while they both worked as prosecutors for the Maricopa County Attorneyʼs office.

Mark worked in the Gang/Repeat Offender Unit and prosecuted many difficult and high profile cases from 1992 to 1998.

Always interested in new challenges, he went to work at the Arizona Attorney Generalʼs Office (1998-2003) and represented the Arizona Department of Gaming, where he developed an expertise in gambling law, as well as gaining an increased appreciation for Native American culture.".

However, Rachel Mitchell has been praised by Republicans and Democrats who have worked with her.

Tracey Westerhausen, a Democratic defense attorney in Arizona, praised Rachel Mitchell to The Post, calling her a "very nuanced and wise prosecutor." Mitchell has been a team member responsible for developing sexual assault prosecutor protocols for the Maricopa County Attorney's office and has handled prominent sex abuse cases involving Catholic priests.

In his statement, Chuck Grassley praised Rachel Mitchell's career.

Grassley said that Mitchell has "decades of experience prosecuting sex crimes," calling her a "career prosecutor.".

He added, "As I have said, I'm committed to providing a forum to both Dr.

Ford and Judge Kavanaugh on Thursday that is safe, comfortable and dignified.

The majority members have followed the bipartisan recommendation to hire as staff counsel for the committee an experienced career sex-crimes prosecutor to question the witnesses at Thursday's hearing.".

Although critics have alleged the GOP Senators just don't want the bad optics of an all-male panel questioning Ford, Grassley gave another motive.

"The goal is to de-politicize the process and get to the truth, instead of grandstanding and giving senators an opportunity to launch their presidential campaigns," Grassley said.

"I'm very appreciative that Rachel Mitchell has stepped forward to serve in this important and serious role.

Mitchell has been recognized in the legal community for her experience and objectivity.

I've worked to give Dr.

Ford an opportunity to share serious allegations with committee members in any format she'd like after learning of the allegations.

I promised Dr.

Ford that I would do everything in my power to avoid a repeat of the 'circus' atmosphere in the hearing room that we saw the week of September 4.

I've taken this additional step to have questions asked by expert staff counsel to establish the most fair and respectful treatment of the witnesses possible.".

However, Ford's attorneys have repeatedly objected to the Senate Judiciary Committee using an outside lawyer to question Ford.

Michael Bromwich, an attorney for Ford, said previously in a statement, "This is not a criminal trial for which the involvement of an experienced sex crimes prosecutor would be appropriate.

Neither Dr.

Blasey Ford nor Judge Kavanaugh is on trial.

The goal should be to develop the relevant facts, not try a case.".

Rachel Mitchell Is on Leave From the Maricopa County Attorney's Office, Where She Led a Sex Crimes Unit.

Rachel Mitchell is a prosecutor from Arizona, but she's now on leave from that office.

She was in charge of the sex crimes unit for Maricopa County and has worked in the office for decades.

"Mitchell worked in the Maricopa County Attorney's Office in Phoenix as the chief of the Special Victims Division, which covers sex crimes and family violence," reported 12News.

CNN reported that Mitchell is currently on leave from her position as "the deputy county attorney and as the chief of the Special Victims Division" in Maricopa County.

Mitchell was listed in the County attorney's newsletter as part of a team that won an award, and a post on Twitter indicates she spoke at a conference about medical findings in child sex abuse cases.

"Operation Safe Treat is a partnership between the MCAO, US Marshal's Office, several local police departments and the Maricopa County Probation Department which sends teams of officers out to the community in the weeks leading up to and on Halloween checking on registered sex offenders to ensure they are following the rules," the caption with the photo in the County Attorney's newsletter read.

In 2014, a commission recommended her as a possible judicial candidate in Arizona.
