Why do you say "an actor" but you say "a lawyer"?

What is the difference between "a" and "an"?

That's a very good question

We use "a" like "a doctor"

"a doctor" before nouns that start with a consonant sound

for example the word "doctor" starts with a consonant sound...

so you say "a doctor"

but with words that start with a vowel sound, for example "actor"

you use "an"

An actor/ an engineer

Chelsea ready to launch £60m bid for Juventus star Alex Sandro to keep Antonio Conte at club

CHELSEA will try to sweeten up unsettled manager Antonio Conte with a £60million move swoop for his former Juventus star Alex Sandro, according to reports.

The Italian left the defender in Turin when he moved to Stamford Bridge but he has targeted a reunion since day one. Antonio Conte has not signed all of the players he has wanted at Chelsea.

Chelsea have so far failed to land the left-back – along with a number of Conte's other prime targets – but rumours of the manager's unhappiness will force their hand, reports the Mirror.

In a recent Italian radio interview, Conte - who is wanted by AC Milan - admitted that he missed his homeland and fans fear he fancies a return. He said: I miss Italy, thats beyond doubt.

So, once I have had some important and life-changing experiences, I will be back. The title-winning boss also rejected a generous contract extension in the summer – after running away with the league – and instead took a handsome pay rise.

But it is no secret that all-action coach missed out on first-choice transfer targets like Romelu Lukaku, Leonardo Bonucci and Fernando Llorente in the summer, with Manchester United, AC Milan and Spurs benefiting instead.

Juventus defender Alex Sandro wants another title.

Alex Sandro is apparently worth £60million. And the new Stamford Bridge hero appears to be passing through west London rather than laying down roots for a legacy.

But snapping up the Brazilian left-back could convince Conte that the club have total faith in him on the pitch and in the transfer market. Sandro has played four times for Juve this season and scored in the 4-0 win over Torino.

Current left-wing back Marcos Alonso is in sublime free-kick scoring form again but Sandro would be a perfect team-mate to help Chelsea compete for honours both at home and in Europe.

Hurricane Maria Victims Grateful for Help - Duration: 1:52.

Today, we had the privilege of being in this community.

We are giving relief items to those who've

lost so much in the storm.

And it gives us an opportunity to be here,

to grieve alongside with them, but also

just to offer some hope, and just

to be the hands and feet of Christ in a time of trial

that they're all going through right now.

It's raining.

The water is pouring all over everything again.

Here, the kitchen-- see how it is.

It goes downstairs to my house, and the water

goes into my apartment too.

I've never been through something this terrifying

in my life.

I thought all the houses were going to go.

My house-- well, all the roof went away.

The walls went away, too, and all what was inside too.

Downstairs, everything got wet.

Well, the water ruined everything.

It's very critical that we're able to be here in a time

like this to offer assistance to those who've lost so much.

And it brings communities together.

We're able to pray with them.

We are able to pray over them, and it just

give us an opportunity to really offer some hope in a place that

really needs hope right now.

I thank Samaritan's Purse for all

what they have done this day for all

the people of this community.

We see that we're starting to get help.
