okay good morning everyone I apologize if there's an echo I'll make my part a
little short and then Matthew is gonna jump in and start the presentation I
apologize her starting a little late here this is Cortney Alison I'm the
Southeast Regional Coordinator from the Indiana State Library our presenter this
morning is Matthew Stevenson this is our third and final session of the graphic
design for libraries webinar series we are going to get started since we're a
little bit late but I do want to let you know that this session is one hour so
you'll get one TLEU for today please be sure to stay logged in at the end of the
presentation I will put up a box so you can download your Leu today so please
stay signed in to get your LEU and I'm also going to put a link to a survey in
the chat box at the end of the presentation please fill that out so we
know how we're doing and how we can serve you better
if you have a question at any point go ahead and type it in the chat box I
can see that as well as Matthew and we'll get your questions answered as soon as
we can so I'm going to go ahead and turn it right over to Matthew... sorry oh forgot
my mute button was off um hello everyone I'm not able to share my screen yet but
here I'll give you kind of an introduction to what Canva is... in
case if you've never gone to Canva's website canva.com it is a graphic
design suite that is purely cloud-based so you don't have to install any
software it's completely through html5 you don't have to have any sort of tech...
I mean you have to have some technical know-how just the things that we've
talked about the elements a design that we talked about the first week there we
go ....okay share my screen ....Okay
there we go so hopefully everybody can see my screen here... so canvas ...so canva
dot com let me go ahead and bring that up here
for you guys it's a suite that's completely free ...or it's not completely
free but it's free to get a basic use of there's uh you can use their graphic
design elemet but when you make stuff on their free version there's a watermark
that appears that you can't really get rid of without going to the premium
version which I believe is it's a few dollars a month I think it's you know
you know the cost of maybe like five dollars a month or something like that
I've never actually looked at the cost but ...as a nonprofit you're able to get
the premium version of canvas for free which is a great thing for a small or
medium sized library if you're a larger library which I'm sure some of you are
from if you're a larger library it's you might be a little bit more limited you
probably have a graphic design team or a programming staff that are really
graphically inclined so you might not necessarily need something like canva
but for a small and medium size library like my library it's really good because
when you register... let me bring up the website here... when I bring up or when I
when we send out the materials for this webinar
there'll be links to where to sign up for canva for nonprofits how to apply
for it what kind of information you're gonna need as well as some templates
places where you can find templates and some tutorials so canva
for nonprofits is the premium version of canva but it's free for nonprofit use
and I think some people get scared because they see that when they go to
apply now it's like they applied for a non-profit
you get to it it's Canva for work which is their premium version for team
sizes of ten members or less which is perfect for a non-profit... a small or
medium-sized nonprofit like a library when you fill out this application you
have to attach tax documentation which is simply the tax exempt form some
people get scared because when they look at the required documentation they see
that it must be a or 501c3 organization which libraries are not
don't be scared by that... I think they do that just because 95% of who
they were covering are 501 C 3 s if you upload a tax just your tax exempt forms
they should be able to work with you we at my library my director said it
was like the most painless thing she's ever had to do as far as getting signed
up for something for tax exempt seriously was like we uploaded the
information and the next day we had Canva for work... now the way Canva
work works is you're gonna have an organization level so let me sign in and
so I can show you ...so I'm gonna log in I have my login here with my library
address... library email address when I go to login ...and for some reason it
forgot my email... I was like did it forget my password okay
so here I am on my personal account so I I sometimes babble in graphic design
for personal things but up here is where you toggle from your personal to your
professional so L Hobbs... Lynn Hobbs is the director of the library so the way
this works is it's similar to how Facebook works so if you are part of
your social media team at your library you will notice that you use your
personal Facebook account to access the library's Facebook page at
least that's how you probably should have it set up... you shouldn't be... have it
set up as a singlar login that everyone has access to because it's
easier to have on Facebook and here it's easier to have a hierarchy so that you
know you set two administrators or one administrator they have the ability to
add and remove editors or people who have the ability to add or add content
or they can respond to posts or to reply to a post same thing here so if I... here
is my personal account so here are my personal designs when I click on L Hobbs
team it brings me to the library's account so these are the things that
I've made or I've started to make for the library so as you can see here the
the things have changed so over here we have ...all your designs shared with
you so if you have friends or if you have a team or something but here it is
a team this is a team we all share the canva for profit... Canva for work
sorry not canva for profit so this is Canva for a non-profit for work so here
are all the designs I've made and then shared with you these are designs that
other staff members at my library have made that they have shared so it'll work
like kinda like a photo stream where they would populate right now only three
have been shared but what I can do is I can click on it or like it or comment on
it so if you were a...maybe if you have multiple branches and you're
sharing ....maybe you know you don't want to send e-mails back and forth this is a
good way to kind of comment or co-work on things together and comment on
things at the same time... as an administrator I'm able to see all
the members and change people's
levels of work so right now our director is the owner she has like absolute
authority on this I'm an administrator so I have the ability to add and
subtract members or designers so members can create things but they can't
create templates... it's basically how that works ...your brand over here... this is where
we can create a color palette so if you were at the... if you took the first
webinar two weeks ago you saw different tools that I ... or different tools
that you can do to create a color palette so here we have a website color
palette so this is the palette that we use for our website this is the primary
palette this is our logo palette and then I created this for myself this is a
my teen summer reading palette so this is the colors I was working with
primarily for summer reading this past year we have uploaded ...already uploaded
the logo so we don't have to constantly upload that file into our work so it's
already up... uploaded to the cloud so even if we're working from home or if we're
working on a laptop we don't have to have access to a shared drive or
anything like that we we have access to it right here through canva
I do not know... before I get the inevitable question... I do not know how
much storage you have for canva I'm assuming when we go to upload it'll
eventually tell you you can't upload anymore but we have not had that to be
the case yet because we only have six pictures uploaded... here are font suggestions
so we can dictate the standard fonts for heading subheadings and body text so if
we discussed last week when we were talking about GIMP that some libraries
and some designers graphic designers have problems with
utilizing too many fonts or too few fonts this is a good way to kind of
decide as an organization what fonts you're going to use and that these are
the fonts that we're going to stick to unless it's a certain circumstance so
similar to if you have... if you use any sort of tool for your website creation
so if you have something like ...or if you have something like Constant Contact for
your mailings or your email distribution you can set standards for your fonts so
that people would have to go and change the font ...unless they...the
standard fonts will come up when they pick heading or subheading you can also
upload fonts so a lot of the fonts that you'll see from fonts.google.com which
we visited last week a lot of the popular fonts that you see in google
fonts are actually already in canva so open sans... lado... oswald these fonts are
already located in canva this gives you an option to upload a new one so if I
upload bitter which is not in canva it's going to tell me hey before you upload
because you're basically you're agreeing that you have the right to use it since
it's a Google font it's an open-source font I do have the right to do that so
if I upload this font this font can be used by myself and it should be able to
be used by my team so now we have bitter regular as now a font that we can use so
if I create a design ...when we go to create a design I'm going to use bitter...
bitter regular so you'll see... team stream is simple... similar to I can see my
designs plus the designs that other people have made as well so it's between...
this is kind of the catch-all of all your designs and shared with you is the
team stream so this was kind of like a catch-all so
it's everything I've shared and everything other people have shared as
well so when you click explore templates it's going to take you to a separate
page these templates you have to find through the marketplace so canva
marketplace... Canva marketplace is a location for templates that other people
have made so this is kind of like the... the great brain of canva this is all the
people who use canva probably on a fairly regular basis are creating
designs and templates some of these are probably... most of them are probably
actually created by canva themselves but some of these I believe are also created
by just people like you and me so if I click on pink petals spa birthday party
invitation and then it gives me the option ...so this was created by Rochelle
and Mendoza if I click Edit this template it's going
to take me into canva where I can change this now you'll see here that canva has
a... there's a watermark here on this image because this image has certain rights
I'm sure that people just don't have through the template so you have to kind
of either live with that which is probably not your best idea or find
another photo that you can use or photo that you do have the rights to but more
importantly than the photo I would never use... personally I would never use the... let
me go back to the templates... I would never use a template for its images
unless you're trying to find that image I'm more interested in either the font
that they're using or the just kind of graphics that they have the... like
I really like this this square with the octagon inside or around it I like that
kind of look so that would be something that I would try to just kind of grab
and then use I wouldn't use the background I would find my own
background and I would not use Solent I'd obviously because I've got nothing
about Sloan pi it's this is a CD cover don't pay attention maybe so much to
what kind of document it is so here like I clicked on an invitation this is a CD
cover if I click on this CD cover... and I click Edit this template... I don't have to
stick with a CD cover I can change this so similar to... similar to... just anything
you could go to file we can go change dimensions and here are all the
different variations that they have so right now we're selected on album cover
we have marketing material so these are like posters and real estate Flyers and
Facebook event covers and YouTube thumbnails and Etsy I mean obviously
we're not probably going to using this for Etsy but or twitch for that matter
but you know we're mostly probably going to be working with us letter or
presentation styles so if I click us letter ...boom it changes
it for me it goes right from CD cover size to 8 and a half by 11 it changed
the background... it kind of centered this as well that's as easy as
it gets and when I talked about 2 weeks ago at
the ...in the elements of design the importance of making sure that your
designs fit to the resolutions that you're using
so if you are working in eight and a half by eleven you don't take an eight
and a half by eleven and you try to stretch it out to a sixteen by nine it's not
going to look correct but here you can do that so I can take this
eight-and-a-half by eleven because of canva and the way that canva works I can
change this right into a presentation size and it does look right it doesn't
stretch the image into an appropriate like... it keeps the resolution proper ...okay
does anyone have any questions before I continue on or hey it's almost 10:30 so
all right so let's start from scratch and so you can see kind of what you can
do from scratch without going into templates... yeah presentation so the
term they use for presentation is they just put presentation sixteen by nine
that's because the vast majority of computer monitors and televisions made
today are sixteen by nine very rarely do you find a monitor that's made today
that's not sixteen by nine the only other aspect ratio that I know of is
twenty-two by nine and that's for a gaming monitor that you don't typically
see so yeah so they use sixteen presentation kind of generically for
anything that is that sixteen by nine ratio which is 1080p so if you go and
you think about 1080p that's the resolution that you're making so if we
create a new design so when you first log into canva you have the option here
to create design you also have the option to use custom dimensions which
if you are creating something for maybe your website so like for the library's
website the library that I work for the Pendleton
Community Library our banners on our webpage are eleven seventy by two hundred
which is a really odd resolution I could create something and then kind
of say hey I'm gonna make it this custom dimension going from eleven seventy...
doing eleven seventy by two hundred it's a lot easier just to do it here and
start from scratch at eleven seventy by two hundred but that's where you do that
you use custom dimensions so if you know those dimensions that's where you can
enter that into ...you aren't just limited to obviously to what these ten
designs ...these are just the most common us letter presentation so here's a
presentation but not sixteen by nine this is your typical four by three
presentation so if you were to see this on a normal sixteen by nine screen
you'll have black bars on the left and right so that's just all a matter of
knowing what kind of screen you're showing your presentation on more often
than not using a sixteen by nine it's going to kind of be a better catch-all
than the four by three Facebook post Twitter post which banner these are the
most common that people are using but you can click more and this will give
you a lot more options we have the recommended so these are based on what
I've done in the past social media posts so if you are working primarily with
social media you can do social graphics which is kind of a catch-all once again
similar to presentation it's kind of a catch-all graphic resolution that works
for Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest and that kind of thing Pinterest
graphics which tend to be a little bit narrower and longer more like a eight
and a half by 11 but not quite Facebook posts which tend to be a little bit boxy
err
then tunmbr graphics tumblr is blocked at my library so I don't even
bother with that obviously but you have documents so if you're doing things on
paper you might be more working with size of paper well here you go you have
your US letter you have letterhead which is more typeface magazine cover so these
are all eight-and-a-half by eleven just what you're starting out with as far as
graphics go if you're doing infographics around your library this is an
infographic that you could use but it goes on and on posters so if you have a
larger printer you could have poster size gift certificates these kinds of
things so what canva is really good at is making things on the fly that you didn't
necessarily know you needed to make... so if you need to make something
very quick canva is a really good tool for that so for our demonstrations or
for this demonstration I'm just going to choose us letter us letter it goes right
into creation it opens another capsule I can still get back... I can still get back
to this if I need to but here it brings up Canvalayout so all these things
here you see that are free these are free because of the fact that I have I
have access to that canva for nonprofits if I did not have access to canvas for
nonprofits these I would have to pay for these are things that probably would be
so a lot of these things are a dollar some things are actually more than that
so you know it's definitely... if you're wanting to start maybe thinking about
use canva you want to go through so we have a question here about canva for
nonprofit so if you go...
so there will be a link in the PowerPoint that we'll send to you today
but there's canva for nonprofits when you go to apply now you just have to
simply put in some information you'll probably want to make sure that you're...
that either your business manager or an administrator like a director or
somebody is filling out this application it's probably for the best at least that
they're the contact person for this and then things like how many people would
you like on your nonprofit account they can probably come up with a better
number than you might be able to so just make sure that you have clearance to do
this I wouldn't do it without permission so you have to fill out this information
you'll hit submit they usually get back to you really quick but like I said
the links to these pages here for the nonprofit will be in the PowerPoint that
we'll send to you later today so when you create a design it starts with a black
page just like a publisher file or something in GIMP but whenever you click
a canva layout it's going to kind of populate with that so if I click this
boom here we go we have ...we have this graphic here we have saved the date we
have Jillian and Lauryn finally getting married we got a date here if I say oh I
don't want that... it gives me also the color palette based on the image that
I've chosen so I have this green if I want to change that green to this brown
I can so the things that are in the... sometimes the things that you find in
the... the templates are able to be changed based on color so if I click happy hour...
if I click happy hour I can change that blue to like a yellow or I can change
this yellow to that... sometimes... you'll notice that oh well
that might not look necessarily good with that yellow that's in these bottles
and stuff like that you can go in and you can individually change that to
different colors so maybe you're not wanting to make it happy hour like happy
hour you're maybe are wanting to find different graphics but like I said I
don't ever really pick out the graphics or I... sometimes I'm just fine maybe one
or two things I like about something and go from there so these are all happy
hour stuff so I know what people have been making... happy hour stuff... so if
you are creative and you want to kind of start from scratch I highly suggest that
if you're not so creative and you're kind of short on time I wouldn't
necessarily start right through canva I would start with looking up those canva
templates and you find those canva templates through their marketplace
which is canva.com/templates and this gives you I think a lot more
options as far as finding something that you want to work from ...what template do
you use with bookmarks ...I've never made bookmarks with this what I would
probably do is... let me show you... let me create a design I'm going to use letter
what I'm gonna do is I'm going to basically flip this so I'm going to go
file change dimensions and I'm simply going to make this inverse of eleven by
eight and a half so now we're working length ways and you'll notice that
because now we're working with custom dimensions they're no longer any layouts
that really fit this because they don't have anything that is a landscape
eight-and-a-half by eleven but you can use these photo grids these
photo grids are at the bottom of every single design that you come up to so if
you create a... if you're starting with a template and you scroll down the canva
layouts you'll eventually get to these grids and then what I would do is ...I would
think well I want five per sheet well there you go there's five and then all
you have to do... and you don't have to use the photos that are in canva so if here
we've been working with layouts this whole time there is other options here
as well we can upload our own pictures and elements to canva but there are
elements that come free with canvas so there are grids frames illustrations
shapes icons these are very clip arty the further... like this stuff here is kind
of ...so like life style there are images here but some of these things are like
the illustrations are kind of clip arty I tend to stay away from clipart but if
you are... let's say you're doing bookmarks for inspirational bookmarks or you maybe
you're having somebody come and discuss something with you you can drag these
photos onto the bookmarks.. oh I didn't quite make it... there we go
and then I had an extra one there... there you go... okay you can arrange this however
so how I got that was I simply double clicked on that photo and then I can
click hold and drag this anywhere and it shows me where it's gonna crop obviously
so it's going to crop everything that's kind of grayed out out and when I click
this check mark up here boom and so I can do that with all of them if you want
to make it so they're all kind of a little bit different you can so this is
a great way to kind of make bookmarks if you need to
- okay... now if I want to change these layouts I still can... I can click this
it's gonna say replace page content it's gonna replace everything that was behind
that okay is there a way to make them all identical... well if I take my elements...
let me find an element that actually works... so... let's go with this lighthouse...
now if I can copy and paste but it's going to copy all four of these at the
same time and then when I click... double click on this ...so it's one of those
things like you're gonna have to kind of eyeball it
it's I've not been able to find a way to just get that one part of the frame and
get it into the other ones without having to do it by hand
so...that would be something I'd actually just do GIMP because I can
do that a much faster I could ever do it in canva but if you need to do that then
what I would probably do is I would probably crop that... well probably crop....
yeah you probably would just have to add and then... so probably better to pre
crop the image yep that would probably be the best bet ...all right we can also
add text so let me grab a... let's start with the new one...
so here we have text already well maybe I don't want this text I just want the
background ...so it's a little fidgety for me it might be my computer ...more than anything...
so I click this and then you get to click the delete button the element we
element... so maybe I just want these bars and I want this background
because the background I can change the colors too and I want to make... make
it look like that... okay ...so I've kind of already changed this I've changed the
colors of it I just wanted this design now if I want to add text I have... so here
you see the three default typefaces that have been set in the brand layout so I
can add a heading click that boom it's aBrill fat-face at 42... okay I don't
necessarily need that.... there is ....there are text templates here as well so unless
you want to go through each single typeface like me you might be better off
finding a typeface that you like so maybe this certificate of recognition
you like the way that looks so you want to do this...okay... and then to change this
type...or to change the words all you have to do is double click and you're
going to get your editor okay so we have Montserrat on the top ...the top row and
then I can't even read that it looks like pinyin script
here on the bottom so ...we have...you have the ability to change that... obviously the
wording so if I want to say... or oh let's see recognition... or I think of something
to say here ...I have friends of the library on my mind right now I've been
working on a project for them all right so now this bothers me because it's not
centered I would probably go something like that okay so here I've already
changed the... I used the templates for thought and I've used a template for the
background once again I can continue with the fonts as well I can also just... I
can click here add this font I can change the font to whatever so bitter
regular I uploaded that font and I changed that body font the save fonts... so
I don't know if the first is necessary
the it's just a demonstration I'm not actually going to make this or use it
for anything so the fonts the fonts are already
pre-loaded the fonts come with a lot of open-source fonts that are used through
google fonts so fonts that are common in google fonts are lado
so you had the Ledo family here you also have open sans the open sans family
Oswald ...organo... these are fonts that you'll see on Google Fonts railway is
one of my favorite fonts right now to use so those fonts you can find there
are fonts that are on google fonts or that you can find that you have access
to or the rights to that you can just upload into canva you can upload those
through your... so I don't lose this ...when you go to your brand over here when you
first log in so here you're in your editor but if when you log in you'll
find your brand you can upload fonts right here ...so here I can say Friday
that's a Friday... and Friday the 6th so Friday October 6 which I think is the
actual meeting of the annual meeting of the friends for my library Friday October 6th
5 o'clock p.m. and then I can simply change the size like any other normal
editor it's a little bit too big there we go
and because everything works in a... as a text box you can simply kind of go like
that and then I could move these bars as well so if I want to Center them... it's
sometimes it's hard to get the actual bar or those little tiny elements so
here I have a very basic flyer and it literally took me like 10 minutes and
I've got yeah it's a lot of font faces and everything like that but they're
very classy I think that they work together in a certain way I don't have
to... I could probably put the friends logo here
but it's... that would be basically it is the friends logo which is actually what
I'm working on right now could go right here and that would be a flyer don't
have to really say anything else I guess I could put like punch and pie or you
know RSVP is required that kind of thing that would be the only other information
I would really need at that point once again bringing it back to the elements
of design... what's nice about canva is you can kind of get the idea if you look
at a lot of the templates that are available you'll notice that they're not
a lot of information heavy templates so like you know these invitations if I
go down here - just like flyers... art flyers... let's see ...let's go... I don't
like business... church flyers . actually may be the closest
thing like that you'll see that some are text heavy this one is particularly
text heavy but there are ones that are not very text heavy so this is a good
way for you to kind of get an idea for how much information is really necessary
to put onto a flyer these templates actually I think kind of help boil down
the essentials so that you're not inundating your audience with a lot of
text because the graphics do the work the graphics are what grab people
attention not the text so ...so here all I would need to do is maybe a couple of
little pieces of information minor pieces of information a logo and that
might be all I need okay any questions comments concerns so far
oh we have multiple people typing... to add do you click on element... yeah so say I
want to add a element I want to add an illustration because we'll just pretend
that the illustration is something and for a logo or I guess I can put in our
library logo so here we have logos I don't want that I want this all I have
to do is click hold and drag it over top so if I click on it it'll also populate
so you can either click it'll automatically populate into your project
or you can click hold and drag it on to your project to add a empty text box you
can do a couple different things you can go text and then drag or click on a size
of font and it will automatically pop it with a text box that you can type in
it's kind of like an old school text empty text box it'll have text inside of
it but it'll automatically as you can see here it'll automatically be
highlighted for you to change the text and then it's just like a normal text
box you can change typeface font font type font size font color you can make a
bold italic Center you can make things uppercase lowercase you don't have the
option to do the ....the was at... the small caps
I like small caps sometimes but that is not an option here unfortunately you can
also adjust the letter spacing letter height you can make bullet points you
can also add transparency or remove transparency which is kind of helpful
and this is the you can also do layers so this is working as layer so the text
is layered on top so layers are... you can arrange your layers through a rain
and I can move things behind or in front of ...okay...
that's how this thing is working right now I think... because the graphic itself
if you see here the graphic itself has a transparency around right now around
annual meeting but you can see the transparency involved so there are
layers involved here... you need to print that's that's the last step here before
we end the day you don't.... I would definitely ...do not try to print a ...real
quick about text boxes if you need to create a text box right away... that didn't
work ...okay somebody told me that ctrl T did it but it does not so there is a
shortcut for a text box but I do not know what that shortcut is have to look
up... the print so if you order prints that's going to like bring up actual
that's actually like photo printing... just press T... there you go just press T so if
you I don't have anything highlighted you press T it brings up the text box...
okay so order prints is going to bring up like ordering photo prints or
bring up ordering prints like kinko kind of prints... you can do that if you're
really wanting to... we can't afford that so you're going to download... so
download ...you get a a few different options the animated gif is something
new that has not been around for a while alright so I've not seen this... I was
in canva maybe...
maybe two months ago when I started working on trying to get things set up
for this that was not there to my knowledge these were the only four
options I save everything as a PNG file because I... and with a transparent
background and the reason is is because I usually take everything I do and I
need to have the ability to change it whenever I want to because I'm kind of
paranoid but if you are just wanting to print what you've got you can go to PDF
print PDF print is going to save a larger file format then the PDF
standard so a PDF standard is gonna be about like 150 pixels per square inch or
it's gonna be about a hundred fifty PPI the print is going to be 300 PPI so if
you're printing I would definitely print it or print via PDF if you're wanting to
save a copy to be changed for later I would use a PNG okay because PDF unless
you know what how to change PDFs they're not necessarily the easiest thing to do
but PNG is something that you can use in any photo editor and change around so
PNG to save electronically PDF to prints on paper
I would stay away from JPEG just save it as a PNG ...and then so if you go PDF print
download it's gonna save your design... another ...while that's doing that real
quick ...another nice thing is that if you get interrupted for whatever reason on
canva ...canva constantly saves what you're doing so if you get disconnected in any
way it's going to save your work basically every time you make a change
so ...if I go... so here the last save was a few seconds
ago if you want to ever make a change to this and you're like whoa geez I I
don't know if I want to make changes to this if it's gonna save all the time if
you make a copy it's gonna make a copy of what you're doing for you to make
further changes to it so that way you have two copies that you can one kind of
like default template that you've made or one that you can mess around with
from there and then a copy of whatever it is so if you're if you have a regular
event you just kind of want to change colors or add different variations to it
you can go from there okay ....where does it save on your account... yeah it saves
in the cloud on canva's servers as far as I know to save ...to make a digital... or to
make a save on your local machine ...so from here that's where you go to
download ... you can access your... you can access your designs from anywhere
it's... you ...all you do is log into canva the big thing about canva is making sure
that you've differentiated between...
differentiate between your personal account and your nonprofit account okay
because sometimes I go into my personal account I'm like I know I've made this
design somewhere oh it's because on my personal account... as such this is kind of
just a not necessary word of warning it's more of just a recommendation is
that because it is a service that we're getting for free as a non-profit I
would try not to use Canva for nonprofit for any personal use so I ...even
though I do graphic design and I don't typically use canva for graphic design
for personal use I did create something and I was like whatever I'm not going to
do this on my... on the team page on ...through the library
I'm gonna do it on my personal account and the reason being is that I don't
want to take advantage of the... the free nature of a lot of the designs and
templates and things like that so you might feel differently but I just wanted
to let you know that I would not use that for personal use I would only use
this for library use ...any questions comments concerns... so far... okay... oh and if
you happen to delete something so if I delete that copy that I just made I do
have a trash that I can go... so you can see here all the things I've deleted
over the time that I made stuff designs that have been trashed for 30
days will automatically be deleted so these are things that I've trashed in
the last 30 days once it gets past 30 days it's gone so this is a lot easier
than GIMP but you are still ...it's kind of like that publisher thing ...you are still
kind of pigeon-pigeonholing yourself and to only have so many
options but this is gonna be a lot more of a time save than using GIMP... what do... I
use mostI 98% of the time of what I'm using I'm using GIMP ...canva I...canva is
nice to make stuff or make up that's not necessarily in my design purview
because I don't make stuff the way that people would make stuff on canva... but I
I use GIMP for almost everything I do now
the only thing I ever do... I do my game corner which is apart ...my normal
Wednesday program I changed that I initially created this flyer in in canva
but now I do everything for that flier because I have the design
down for it ...so... well real quick I will put up my... this will be on the PowerPoint
we'll send out later today but if you need anything about graphic
design that has been covered over the last three weeks so elements of design
GIMP or canva you can contact me at my email address which is M Stevenson
@Pendleton.lib.in.us which I know is a mouthful so contact or
call me if you can catch me ...you can probably catch me so... but...yeah I more
than happy to answer any questions so I want to thank you guys for coming I am
putting a link to a survey about this presentation in the
