Juventus have ruled out making a fresh approach for Liverpool midfielder Emre Can in the January
transfer window.
The defending Serie A champions tried unsuccessfully to lure the German to the Allianz Stadium
before the summer transfer window shut at the end of August.
Can is an important player for Liverpool and Juventus chief executive Beppe Marotta cannot
see the Anfield side selling him midway through the season.
Marotta said he is happy with the current squad and ruled out a major signing this season.
"We don't think we are going to make a big signing in January," Marotta told the Independent.
"We have faith in this team and in these lads.
"As for Emre Can, I don't think Liverpool will sell him in January.
"We made an offer for him in the summer but the Reds didn't sell him so I don't think
they'll change their mind in the middle of the season."

parts of the international humanitarian response system. But I'm a person who is
motivated by solutions and outcomes, so I'm hoping that what we do in OCHA will
help all the other agencies make progress on those outcomes.

At least thats what BBC pundit Ian Wright suggested during the sides 1-1 Premier League draw on Sunday.
Sturridge, 28, has found game time hard to come by this season with Roberto Firmino usually chosen ahead of him to spearhead Liverpools attack. But he was handed a rare start at St.
James Park as Jurgen Klopps men looked to get back to winning ways. Liverpool endured the same frustration that has blighted them several times this term though as they failed to break down Newcastles resolute defence.
And Sturridges hopes of lining up against Manchester United from the off in two weeks time were done no favours when he missed a great second-half chance.
The former Manchester City and Chelsea ace has previously been linked with a switch away from Anfield to kickstart his career. And Wright, who used to play up front for Arsenal, reckons swapping Merseyside for Tyneside would be perfect for Sturridge.
Daniel Sturridge was handed a rare start when Liverpool took on Newcastle United on Sunday.
Jurgen Klopp watched his Liverpool side take a share of the spoils against Newcastle United.
Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live, Wright said: I think Newcastle would be the ideal club for Daniel Sturridge. The fans would take to him there. West Ham has been touted as a potential destination for Sturridge in the past.
Whether Klopp will decide to cash-in on the misfiring hitman next year remains to be seen.
