Waching daily Oct 2 2017

It's Spina Bifida Awareness Month!

For the whole month of October we're going to be

bringing awareness to Spina Bifida!

To kick off Spina Bifida Awareness month let's talk

about what Spina Bifida is for those who don't know.

Spina Bifida is when the spinal column or spinal cord

doesn't form properly.

Because of this, it can cause other problems to arise.

There are many types of Spina Bifida.

The three most common types are occulta, meningocele, and myelomeningocele.

But those three aren't the only types.

For example, the type of Spina Bifida is called Lipomyelomeningocele.

It's treated exactly the same as myelomeningocele.

Spina Bifida is often called the snowflake disability,

but we'll get into more of that next week.

People with Spina Bifida have different ranges of mobility.

Some use mobility aids such as wheelchairs,

canes, braces.

Either all the time or some of the time.

Some don't use any mobility aids at all.

It just depends on the person with Spina Bifida.

Many of us have an allergy or may develop

an allergy to Latex at some point in our lives.

We also may develop hydrocephalus,

and if you would like to learn a little bit more

I have a video linked in the description about that.

While Spina Bifida can cause many things,

a lot of people with Spina Bifida live happy and healthy lives.

With the help and support of family and friends.

Oh, also we live healthy lives because of our healthcare.

So please contact your congress rep,

and have them vote no on HR620.

And also have them vote to save healthcare.

That's it for today's video, thank you for watching.

And don't forget to share this video

to support Spina Bifida Awareness month.

And if you wanna learn more on Spina Bifida,

be sure to check out my playlist, #SpinaBifida on my channel.

Cost of Contact in Sports Is Estimated at Over 600,000 Injuries a Year - Duration: 8:39.

Cost of Contact in Sports Is Estimated at Over 600,000 Injuries a Year

It seems obvious that there would be more injuries, and more serious ones, among high school and college athletes in football or soccer or lacrosse than, say, in running or tennis.

But, how many more, and at what economic cost? Those figures turned out to be hard to come by, researchers at Yale discovered, but, using the best data available, they calculated that if contact sports could be made noncontact — like flag football, for example — there would be 49,600 fewer injuries among male college athletes per year and 601,900 fewer among male high school athletes.

The savings — which include estimates of medical costs and time lost — could be as much as $1.5 billion per year for colleges and $19.2 billion per year for high schools.

And that takes into account only the immediate consequences of an injury, a paper by the researchers says, not the long-term effects of concussions or repeated jarring of the brain in collisions.

Or the repercussions of ligament tears, which can lead to a greater than 50 percent risk of arthritis a decade later, said Dr. Mininder Kocher, a professor of orthopedics at Harvard Medical School.

"The issue really is that contact is the driving force in all these major injuries," said Ray Fair, an economics professor at Yale and the senior author of the paper.

"Any sport that does not have contact, the injuries are not that great."  .

Fair and his colleagues focused on four types of serious injuries — concussions and damage to the nervous system, bone injuries, torn tissue, and muscle and cartilage injuries. They are the sort that can sideline an athlete for months.

And football players, who have the most injuries, can have one after the other, as happened to the son of Terry O'Neil, founder of Practice Like Pros, a group that focuses on making the sport safer for young players.

O'Neil's son had six major injuries as a quarterback in high school — two concussions, three fractures on his passing hand and a torn knee ligament. "He missed half the games in his high school career," O'Neil said.

"You sit there with your heart in your mouth as a parent watching the games." Other athletes suffer for the rest of their lives from injuries in collegiate contact sports.

Currie, a professor of economics and public affairs at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs, says her father, now 80, has had a bad knee ever since he played football in college.

"That's 60 years with pain," she said. Many more people play sports in high school than in college, so for that reason alone there are more injuries in the younger group.

But high school athletes are also more prone to injuries, experts said, because they are not as skilled, they have less experienced coaches and they may not be physically mature.

More high school students play football than any other sport, in part because teams often have 30 to 40 players or even more. There are about a million football players in high school, said Dr.

Robert Cantu, a founder of the Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy Center at Boston University and the medical director of the National Center for Catastrophic Sport Injury Research at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

That number dwindles to 100,000 in college, he said. "Even if the injury rate is similar, because 10 times as many kids are playing in high school, the total number of injuries is way higher and expensive," Cantu said.

"And kids on the high school level don't have good coaching, and some of these kids should never be playing," he added.

But what is important about the Yale analysis is the focus on the economic cost of these serious injuries, experts said. Already, the cost of football is weighing on some private high schools, Cantu said.

Insurance for football players has become so expensive, he said, that "a number of schools have decided this is a sport they will not continue." Kocher, who is also the associate director of the sports medicine division at Boston Children's Hospital, hopes that a focus on the cost of collision sports might lead to some serious funding for injury prevention.

"There is a lot of lip service about prevention, but not much money," he said. There also is not much money for reporting injuries, Cantu said, and what data exists can be hard to collect for studies.

The states mandate concussion reporting, he noted, but do not provide funds for it.

The sort of data that Fair, the Yale professor, gathered is "the best that's out there, but it is not complete." That, though, is all too typical for health data, Currie said.

"One of the reasons why health research is so backward," she said, "is that it is very hard to get the data for most health projects." Fair said he and other faculty members at Yale would never allow their children or grandchildren to play contact sports.

So, he added, "do we want our students to play?" But O'Neil said playing football had been such a wonderful experience for his son that he had no regrets, despite his son's injuries.

And that point of view, said Roger Noll, a sports economist at Stanford, is what critics are up against. He said he admired Fair's paper and had sent it to Stanford's athletic director.

But Noll is not optimistic that even a stark look at injury rates and costs will have much of an effect, especially in football, the most dangerous contact sport.

When he goes to Stanford football games, he said, one of the things he notices is the television production people on the sideline walking around with parabolic microphones. "I've asked them why they do that," he said.

"They are catering to their audience. The audience wants to hear heads crack." "Therein lies the problem," Noll said.

"The reason we are where we are is a kind of bread and circuses aspect to football." "It's a hard row to hoe," he concluded, "but maybe, maybe, if we keep doing the research …" Correction: September 29, 2017 An earlier version of this article inaccurately described the number of concussions and hand fractures that the son of Terry O'Neil had as a high school quarterback.

He had two concussions and three fractures of his passing hand, not three concussions and two fractures.

Roblox Vs Minecraft! Which is better? - Duration: 9:38.

hey guys it's your boy Jackie and today we'll be doing a difference video we

will be doing roblox for some Pinecrest which games is better

he's really hard uh debate for people and I'm just gonna give you my personal

opinion of which games better so when I see what the difference is on what's

better who's worse so we're gonna start off with roblox now worlds

um worlds in roblox are called games or game modes some people call and we have

games just story generator um use real school it's not actually completely

Square there's triangles or spheres create different shapes round stuff Wow

minecraft as you can see in the background a Minecraft does not have

that minecraft is a little bit customization with your character you

have different what they call skins they'll call avatars but what's cool is

you can go into skin editor in websites and edit your own skin upload it

download it whatever you want to do with it and allow you to do whatever you

wanted with your skin Wow roblox kind of has the same thing but there's more

different combinations they have different combinations you can have your

height your with your head size you can have you can actually create shirts for

other people aware which is really cool and while minecraft doesn't have that

and with the source we go to our names um

games or have less FPS for good computers like Minecraft is a little

chunkier I would say for goods in theaters is - Wow robots has very smooth

gameplay for good computers um I'm gonna play one game here here actually I can

recording oh we can we can join a game in here servers mineplex now connect us

to external server and the loading times

loading times aren't bad in Minecraft but Wow

roblox has to process more things than minecraft it takes a little longer for

you know not really good computers minecraft can run smoother but still it

take but still for getting computers robots loads up very smooth and here we

are in Minecraft and look at the good FPS you have good FPS no now if we pause

this then we'll go into roblox Oh sooo I shouldn't let down I need to put

that back up I can't go in the roblox quite yet come on let me just fullscreen

this this is going on whoa whoops but well in my falling roblox um it tastes

longer angers and it's laggy early renders while mine conserves a full

render to where you don't have to really kind of

have to let it render while you play that's why you're only like so it's

really cool I need to get out of a game soon as possible because it's lagging

out there I mean to get out game leave this leaf leaf got to move this over

like cuz I need to leave game there we go

and we're going to leave and this takes a little bit longer to externally leave

all this you can just close it down there we go it's really cool and here's

a little good thing about Minecraft where is many possibilities with

building because it gives you more creation and more of a challenge Wow

roblox only has kinda like a survival game mode where you can die you can not

die or they squirt it talk where scripts which is super complicated where you can

make them god move whatever it's more blocks is more complicated

than minecraft because you always have to learn things while minecraft shoots

you straight it tells you things you need to do cuz there's a tutorial or

after that minecraft telling you how the plate

do you really cool so you also have inventory so I mean not that you have

stuff in roblox hold roll box it's like your in-game currency of what you can

use to buy things like all of this I actually have all this stuff hi

Gai limited item thing about training now somebody if you want trade me on

roblox my account name is Jackie amenge as you can see and it's really cool and

searching for servers your friend services weren't easier than it's easier

than minecraft because you have to do all the ports downloads you have to make

a Lancer it's very more complicated but

it's a hard decision between people because people are like no minecraft is

better because that's better fps and roblox is better because it has more

possibilities building just here's my picture I would think that roblox is

better that way no I'm just kidding minecraft was better because mine give

you more of challenging it allows people to bond together more Wow roblox just

I'm gonna have to go to minecraft because minecraft is really good in they

shot a new love bank called realms where you can actually join your friends which

is really cool and they did their update for Minecraft Windows 10 so it's just

Minecraft basically it's just normal minecraft so it's really cool anyways

"Because This Is My First Life" Cast Is Serious Onscreen, Playful Offscreen In New Making Video - Duration: 2:14.

"Because This Is My First Life" Cast Is Serious Onscreen, Playful Offscreen In New Making Video

tvN recently released some playful and serious behind-the-scenes pictures and video footage of its upcoming drama Because This Is My First Life.

In one photo, Lee Min Ki is all business as he diligently studies his script. However, in the next photo, he is caught laughing brightly with his co-star Jung So Min, who seems to be hiding her smile behind her own script.

Jung So Min also has her serious moment as she focuses on filming, but behind the scenes, she smiles and poses sweetly with her on-screen father Kim Byung Ok.

Even in the behind-the-scenes video, the cast displays their serious and playful moments. For instance, before filming, Lee Min Ki warmly greets the camera and hugs Park Byung Eun.

Once the camera rolls though, Lee Min Ki transforms into his odd, aloof character Nam Sae Hee.

During rehearsal, Lee Min Ki and Jung So Min work seriously, but they burst into laughter after bumping into each other. The filming set brightens, and even the director is laughing as well.

Then theres Apinks Bomi, who is nervous and cute off camera but turns into her cold character once filming starts. Kim Ga Eun, Kim Min Suk, and Jung So Min are full of energy as they film an outdoor scene together.

The caption describes them as being beagle-like, and they prove thats true as they chatter noisily and act silly together. Watch the video below!.

The first episode of Because This Is My First Life will air on October 9 at 9:30 p.m. KST.
