Acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn urges reforms, job creation for growth - Duration: 0:44.

South Korea's acting president Hwang Kyo-ahn is urging the government to come up with new

measures to revive the economy.

At a regular cabinet meeting on Tuesday,... Hwang called for an overhaul of the struggling

shipbuilding industry, citing the restructuring plan announced last week to improve Korea's

economic fundamentals.

He also called for all-out efforts to counter the chronically-low birthrate,... saying a

population that's shrinking and getting older... hurt's the nation's growth potential.

Citing the recent rate hike by the U.S. Federal Reserve... he added that creating quality

jobs is a must to resolve the problem of ballooning household debt.

Hwang said the public's ability to pay its debts must first be enhanced - along with

government policies to support them.

Hello.

I'm Gregor. I've been employed here since year 2009.

I work as a mechanical technician.

Now I am verifying the weight of the packaging.

If the weight is too low, we increase it in this machine.

if the weight is in accordance with regulations, it's ready for further handling.

Racio helped me to find a job.

At first I was included in a three-month long vocational training,

then I, to my great surprise, got a job. I was happy.

The first deaf person in our company was Grega Anderlič.

he is with us since 2009, and I can say that we have very positive experiences with him.

Communication with him is less difficult and we are also noticing,

that he is some kind of a mentor for the rest of the deaf, he helps them to ease into the workflow in the company,

and in communications in the company.

If there is a mistake in production and I don't know what to do,

then I call the director to come to see and check whether everything is in order or not.

In the company I have three deaf co-workers.

I like this,because we can more easily talk in sign language.

When the deaf and hearing coworkers have trouble in interpersonal communication,

they call me and I help them. I interpret in sign language and then they understand.

I can also lip-read well and understand what someone says.

The hearing co-workers speak slowly and we understand each other.

We also joke around. They are awesome.

I wish that other deaf people would find jobs here.

Because they are capable and very hardworking.

Korea maps out 2018 government budget guideline - Duration: 2:16.

And the government's looking ahead to next year.

It's announced the budget guidelines for 2018... offering a look at what the country's top

priorities will be next year.

Those will be largely in line with what the Acting President covered in his cabinet meeting.

Kim Hyesung reports.

Job creation, investment in the fourth industrial revolution, addressing the low birthrate and

growing wealth inequality.

The Korean government announced it will prioritize these four key areas in its budget for 2018,

which is projected to top 370 billion U.S. dollars.

" . . "Korea faces a demographic crisis with its

low birth rate and a rapidly aging population.

If this structural imbalance worsens, it will erode our economic growth potential and make

sustainable growth impossible, which is why we need to address it through all possible

means at a national level."

Korea is expected to become an aged society with 14 percent of its population aged 65

or older next year, and the government is drawing up detailed measures to improve the

working environment, create more jobs, and housing for young people.

What is new for the 2018 budget guidelines is the addition of investment in the fourth

industrial revolution and addressing wealth inequality.

The labor ministry said Tuesday it will create six new national certification examinations

in the field of the fourth industrial revolution, including robots and 3D printers, to nurture

technical experts.

As the wealth gap widens in the country and is set to become a key issue during the upcoming

presidential election, the finance ministry also announced detailed plans to support those

who are marginalized by strengthening basic livelihood safety nets for low-income households,

and creating more jobs for the elderly.

The guidelines outline the priorities for government agencies and ministries as they

craft their 2018 budget proposals, which they have to submit to the finance ministry by

May 26th.

Gospel Minute: Walking on the Water - Duration: 1:37.

Some people say only Jesus walked on

water, well not anymore. Hi I'm pastor Richard

Demsick, the missionary pastor of 9.23

community, and I'm literally walking on

water for today's Gospel minute.

Today's Gospel is John 6:16 through 27

and in it is the story of Jesus walking

on water, and it's a famous story because

everyone knows only Jesus walked on

water. well, until now, and and those suckers

who live up in Michigan during the

winter, because you know they can do that

anytime they want, but other than that it

was only me Jesus, and people from

Michigan. Well I guess, and Peter but John

doesn't mention it. why? because nobody

wants to give credit to Peter. He's

annoying. The point is though, with God we

really can walk on water! Maybe not

literally without the help of some

planks , but we can figuratively because

God lifts us up out of our circumstances

as long as we keep our eyes on him we

can overcome anything. Remember God loves

KINEZIKA COMPANY #DeafRoleModel - Slovenia - Duration: 4:12.

Welcome to the Kinezika company.

In Kinezika company we develop and produce cosmetic products

and dietary supplements.

Our cosmetics are mostly natural and therapeutic.

It's similar with dietary supplements,

we could say that many of them are bordering medicines.

Kinezika is currently employing 29 workers,

out of which 6 persons have disabilities. Among them are 4 deaf,

and I can say that we have had exceptionally good experiences with them

and that we are very satified.

There are no problems with communication, if there is ever a problem,

we call an interpreter and we fix.

I am checking the sealing and level of liquid.

If the cork is open, I close it fully.

I am also checking if the liquid level is enough.

We think it's very positive that we have deaf people employed in the company,

because they help each other, communicate, they hang out between breaks.

And they meet outside work as well. They are friends.

This way the individual don't feel lonely, and it is easier for them to be included in the working team.

Communication [with deaf] is good, they are easy to work with.

However it's true that communication doesn't work with everyone in the same way.

With some of them it's easy to communicate via talking,

but with some there is need to also clarify things

writing notes is needed so we can then understand each other more easily.

When I start talking with hearing (people) it's sometimes hard for me,

because they talk in long sentences.

Everything is clear to me if sentences are short.

Once we had a problem but I said don't worry, write it on paper. And then we managed.

This is also happening in other places. [in other companies].

The company is currently in the phase of growth and development,

so we are intensively looking to employ new workers.

We would love to collaborate with persons with disabilities, with deaf and hard of hearing too.

But we are focused to search for more professional personnel,

because we would really love their help, especially in the more demanding work places,

for example, development, preparation and so on.
