Every sunset brings the promise of a new dawn. Eye-catching sunrises and sunsets also seem to favor certain times of the year.

Sunset is a wonderful opportunity for us to appreciate all the great things the sun gives us!

Sunsets, like childhood, are viewed with wonder not just because they are beautiful but because they are fleeting.

Never waste any amount of time doing anything important when there is a sunset outside that you should be sitting under.

It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream. To watch a sunset is to connect with the Divine.

Sunsets are so beautiful that they almost seem as if we were looking through the gates of Heaven.

Twilight drops her curtain down, and pins it with a star. There's a special quality to the loneliness of dusk, a melancholy more brooding even than the night's.

Keep looking up! I learn from the past, dream about the future and look up. There's nothing like a beautiful sunset to end a healthy day.

Everyone at one time or another has marveled at the beautiful red and orange colors of a sunrise or sunset.

Although colorful sunrises and sunsets can be seen anywhere, certain parts of the world are especially famous for their twilight hues.

The deserts and tropics quickly come to mind. Indeed, it is a rare issue of Arizona Highways that does not include at least one sunset view, and one could amass a respectable collection of Caribbean or Hawaiian sunset postcards in just one trip.

A data structure is a particular way of organizing data in a computer's memory.

Nonetheless, do we really need data structures in the Frontend development?

The answer is yes.

I'll show you why.

Let's talk today about a data structure, namely Binary Search Tree and its realization in

JavaScript.

I'm Anatol and you are watching the Good Parts of the Frontend development.

Let's start with the definition.

What is a Binary Search Tree.

A Binary Search Tree is a particular type of containers that store "items" (such as

numbers, names etc.) in sorted order, so that lookup and other operations can use the principle

of binary search.

A binary search is an algorithm of traversing the tree from root, on each node it decides

to search further in the left or right subtree, so most of the tree is skipped.

Where is a place for Binary Search Tree in the front-end development?

To Binary Search Tree the following operations are applicable:

- addition: add an item to the tree - removal: remove an item from the tree

- contains: search an item in the tree

Time complexity in big O notation for addition, removal and search is logarithm of N. That's

really great!

Let's dive in the code.

use package.json file, created in the previous episode.

create test file

describe test

use a Binary Search Tree for the list of countries

Remove a root node and check it

Run test

Test failed, because I need to create a class.

Create Binary Search Tree class

its constructor has a root node

Find method iterates children of the current node.

This method selects the next node using "if" statement and returns a node when it is found.

Add method

create a node container.

Starting at the root.

I use loop either to add an item or to discover that it already exists in the tree.

If the value is greater than the current value - move to the right.

If `right` does not exist, put here a new node, and stop traversing.

If the value is less than the current value - move to the left.

Remove method.

Search for a node and throw an error if it doesn't exist.

FindMin is a function that search for a minimal value among children.

First case, when a node has both "left" and "right" children

than replace current node with a child that has a minimal value.

Second case, a node has no children or just one subtree.

Then replace it with a child or just remove current node.

Don't forget to set a new value for "parent".

Contains method, search for a value and

use a "bitwise not" operator which returns 'true' or 'false'

Run test again

yes it's green

Washington DC is 'Truly decadent' and a 'Self-indulgent circus' - Steve Hilton - Duration: 1:00.

Honestly I am so sick of hearing as we

heard I think from Mark Warner there this

endlessly repeated phrase:

"We've got to get to the bottom of this for the sake

of our democracy," and so on.

It's so pompous and I think it really shows that

Washington is just so out of

touch, actually worse than out of touch.

I think this actually shows Washington as

a place that's truly decadent when you

have people in this country so desperate

for real change in their lives for jobs

and a pay raise and to deal with

things like the drugs epidemic that I

know you talked about on the show tonight.

That there's so much real stuff to do

the way that there's this

self-indulgent circus going on in this

town over this issue I think it is

really really damaging to the reputation

of everyone involved and I think that

what they've got to do is deal with it

professionally and quickly, I agree with

all those points, but just stop

delighting in it so much. It feels like

this is what they really love doing

instead of the hard stuff of actually

making change happen in people's lives.
