Unai Emery will give the likes of Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketieh, Emile Smith Rowe and Joe Willock the chance to catch the eye once again this weekend when Arsenal take on Blackpool in the FA Cup
Emery, who will take charge of his first ever FA Cup game at Bloomfield Road this weekend, has stated that Arsenal will show big respect to their League 1 hosts, with a number of senior players set to make the long trip north
But a number of youngsters will also be involved, with Saka expected to get his second senior start - having made his Premier League debut off the bench during the win against New Year's Day victory against Fulham
The 17-year-old left winger is highly rated at Arsenal and injuries to the likes of Danny Welbeck and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have given him an opportunity at senior level
"We give chances to young players," said Emery. "He [Saka] played because at the moment we haven't a lot of players who can play right winger or on the left and in the academy growing up he gave good performances
"I hope it's the beginning of long career at Arsenal but it's the same with Emile, with [Joe] Willock, with [Eddie] Nketiah]
"We need to give them chances. Saturday [against Blackpool] I am going to do that
" Focusing on Saka, Emery added: "He is improving a lot and growing up in our academy
He's 17-year-old which is young but he's training with us. "He lives our moments with the team and he's started to play in games and in the Premier League
We need to help him also. We need to have a strategy." Blackpool - who Arsenal knocked out of the Carabao Cup earlier in the season - currently sit 10th in League 1 and Emery's side will go into Saturday's game as overwhelming favourites
But the Spaniard is well aware of the history of giant killings in the FA Cup so will not be taking anything lightly at Bloomfield Road, especially as he still has the memories of what he describes as a 'dark day' firmly embedded in his mind from his time as Sevilla boss
It was during the 2013/14 season when Sevilla were drawn against Racing Santander in the Copa del Rey
The first round clash was played over two legs and Sevilla won the first game 1-0 in Santander, a team from the third tier of Spanish football
With the second leg held at Sevilla's Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, no-one gave Santander a chance, but they stunned Emery's side, beating them 2-0 and knocking them out of the competition in embarrassing style
It's a defeat that still hurts Arsenal's head coach to this day. "In my experience I have one dark day in a competition and I don't like it," he said
"I remember that four years ago against Racing Santander. I remember each match and other surprises in each competition "I also remember that two years ago Arsenal won [the FA Cup] against Chelsea, but last year lost against Nottingham Forest
"You can win, lose or draw, but we must be concerned. It is important to prepare and respect every team
