Are Investors Paying Too Much for iRobot? - Duration: 3:39.
Vincent Shen: Let's wrap up. Any final takes? Also, valuation?
What are your thoughts there? Asit Sharma: I absolutely want to talk about valuation.
It's pertinent to everything that you just discussed, Vince.
Currently, the stock trades at a forward P/E ratio of 30X.
The stock is trading at 30X one-year forward earnings.
The market cap of this company is about $2.5 billion.
How are these two pieces of information related? This is essentially still a small-cap stock.
I was surprised to see the market cap, which I hadn't looked at in a while.
I thought it would be greater.
What that tells me -- I spoke about this a couple of months ago on a show -- for a small-cap company,
to trade at 30X earnings means that you're right in line with the Russell 2000 index.
That's the average forward valuation for a company of this size, all things considered.
So, in my opinion, although 30X forward earning sounds a little pricey, there's not really
much of a premium there. Investors who are short-term oriented may feel that's great.
Those who are longer-term oriented may see that the market is discounting the forward
opportunity of integration that Vince talked about -- again, going back to a concept that
he mentioned at the very beginning of the show, the spatial awareness.
The data that a Roomba can provide to other components in a house that are integrated,
the Internet of Things devices, which are all communicating with each other, those potentialities
are enormous if you just start to brainstorm what a Roomba might be able to provide.
Myself, a random one I came up with -- what if your Roomba could tell your Sonos speaker
to play the volume up a little bit, because it's coming to vacuum, but your kid's still in the room?
You can just imagine, if it does, indeed, integrate with other devices and sell some
of its capabilities, that's a marketplace advantage.
That's hard for a competitor who's just manufacturing a device on a price-point to compete with.
I think the stock long-term looks attractively valued here, especially, it's sold off along
with the general tech sector as of this recordinga little bit this year.
What are your thoughts, Vince?
Shen: I think for a company in this position, you have the market share leader.
They're putting up well over 20% top line growth in 2018. Over 15% on the bottom line.
The 30X forward earnings doesn't look quite so pricey to me.
I think a long-term investor can generally, not quite shrug off, but not put as much weight on,
for example, the near-term hit with the tariffs.
That doesn't mean you can't protect your yourself by building out your position over time.
Given the strong demand for these new products that they launched, those are going to be
big story drivers in the holiday season.
Strong sales, maybe weaker profits, but the company is going to work into that with these
new features and building up their ASPs.
You have a company here that's the leader in this young industry.
As you said, it's very small, $2.5 billion market cap.
Again, I've really been excited to look into this company, get updated on it again.
It's a very cool business.

Chris Johnson Says LenDale White's Excuses for Being Late Were Epic (Full Interview) - Duration: 6:59.
- Usually I do the introductions, but I—
This is you. This is your guy.
- This is my guy.
I mean, this is the original CJ2K.
My man right here.
I didn't know what to expect when I saw
this guy in person as a player. Like—
- Cuz he was a rookie when you were there.
- He was a rookie.
And in training camp, I was with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
So I— that team, as he'll tell you

And they kept telling me, "Man, this Chris Johnson
is a baller, man.
We've never seen anybody so fast."
And I was like, "Yeah, bleh, bleh, bleh, bleh."
But then I got there and
yes, one of the most special talents I have ever been around.
- And then, your memories of Chris Simms back then?
- Oh, man. He used to talk trash to me before every game.
- Stop. - I think it was probably
like Week 2 or Week 3.
He was like, "Ah, come on"
I was—I think I had went for 100 yards, like, twice.
He's like, "Come on, man.
I'm tired of seeing these 10-, 15-yard runs.

LenDale was, I felt like, never there at 8:30.

I had to use the bathroom." - He was just—
So his excuse was "I took a crap at a gas station."
- I had to take a crap in a bathroom, yes.
- And then when he says that, the team explodes?
- No, actually. Cuz it's a serious setting.
- [Laughing] - I mean, we're all shaking our head like
"What a bunch of bullcrap that is."

Ideas for Losing Weight, Exercise, Slimming Belly Fat, Tummy, Waist, Arms, Women, Awesome over 50 - Duration: 22:10.
Hey awesome ones. Heather here and you know what? I am setting my sights on
losing a little bit of weight and I'm talking around the belly here. I think
all of you guys know but your your tummy and I don't know we just seem to get the
weight going here for some reason. I want to make sure that I lose a little
bit here and other places too and maybe tone up a little bit, but I'm going to do
it without a gym membership, without a personal trainer and without one of
those big bulky expensive exercise machines. How am I going to do that? I'll
show you and it all starts in just a few seconds.
So I think the best way to lose a few pounds and tone your body and all that
sort of thing, it's just to make sure that you're following a routine that
well you actually want to follow and also that you're being realistic. It's
totally unrealistic for me to think of having the body that I had when I was
modeling in the 1980s. I think a lot of you know that I was bulimic and it was
not a healthy weight. If you are one of those women who really does the
bodybuilding and that kind of thing then yeah okay that's a little different, but I'm
talking about the everyday person the everyday woman who wants to just get a
little slimmer and a little bit trimmer. And what I find is the best routine, is
one that you're going to follow. I know for a fact I'm not going to hang out at
the local gym because I know my daughters, I mean they're all there...
they're like 20 year olds and they're playing the big music and it's it's just
not my environment anymore. And as far as the big......I mean they really really
impressed me those big exercise machines that are so high-tech and they cost
thousands of dollars and they're gonna do wonders for you. I also know that
those things are little clunky they're not fitting into my downsized home
anymore and it's gonna end up probably being a
nice looking clothes hanger for me. So that's not gonna work. i really suggest
and I think a lot of you know that I'm 63 years old and I want to find
something that works into my day and into my routine. Something that I'm going
to do on a consistent basis and let's start with number one.
So here's number one of six tips. Toning these flabby arms. My...what happened to my
arms like okay I'm gonna try to do a muscle here.
I used to play competitive tennis and I actually developed I think... Bill what do
you call them?...cannons. Develop these cannon forearms and over the years they
have just turned like super flabby. I don't like wearing short tops you know
short sleeve tops anymore and so what I'm going to do and I will be showing
you what happens maybe six to eight weeks later, but I'm going to start on a
routine to get these toned and and really get a little bit of muscle back
into them. And if you're anything like me you're sitting at a desk most of the day
and I'm going to show you a few routines. Now you can find routines on the
internet, on YouTube where there's lots of videos where the professionals are
showing, but I'm just going to show you something that I can do every single day
just sitting at my desk. Now since I'm not really delighted with the fact of
going someplace and lifting 100-pound weights with a spotter, I've decided to
just have these little weights here and I'm using the five-pound weights. I know
a lot of people are saying you know go for a 10 but to me this is this is comfy
and I think that's the important thing. You know make it comfortable on
yourself and by the way we do have...since I got my computer here...we do have an
Amazon page now with awesome things that we love and all you have to do with this.....
I don't know if you can see this, but just go to the...just for fun travel
exercise recreation...and we'll have a lot of the things that we have here on the
video that we're showing and we'll also put it in the links below as well.
Let's just start with an exercise that's pretty easy. All you do is you just sort
of put your two dumbbells out here, I'm going to call them dumbbells or weights
or whatever and you do what it is called kind of like a water pitcher kind of
thing. Like pouring a water pitcher and you could really feel the tightening
in there and then you pour it out and then you pour it in and then you pour it
out and the nice thing about this is I could be just you know looking at some
emails or maybe I'm just sort of checking the last video that we loaded
and hardly takes any strain but you can feel you can feel the burn, you can feel
the burn. Let's show you one more. All right for the second one I'm just going
to show one arm. Obviously you should be doing two arms or its gonna be really alot lopsided,
but for this one I'm just going to extend and again I might be watching one
of my videos or checking out some emails or something like that and so you're
putting this up here. Then you're going to extend...this is going to really help
your triceps all along here. Help you to get rid of some of that flab and move
your palm upwards and do a little push up like that and then back again all
right. Change the palm push it up and back again and if you want to know how
many reps I do of these well let me tell you. I don't count because I don't want
to be doing that to myself. Maybe it's starting to really hurt or maybe you
know what I'm gonna do it as long as I'm reading my emails. So number two is also
to help you when you're sitting. Now you saw me in the regular office chair but
just to the side when I was doing those exercises with the the little dumbbells
there you'll see that I am sitting on a very interesting...a little chair here and
I'm going to show you some of the things that I can do with this chair in just a
second. So let me show you this chair. It's a very special kind of chair. Right
now it's in the locked position, but all I have to do is put it in the unlock
position and it goes like this. And you're like...Heather...what the
heck is that. Well let me show you what this is. This is like a hula hoop and
well if you're my age, you do remember what the hula hoops were and check this out.
It's like doing the hoola hoop while checking your emails you can be watching you know in my particular case I'm
checking out our videos how do they look after Bill has edited them and sometimes
they're going on for like 20 minutes. And the thing I like about this is that you
hardly even know that you're exercising but you are giving a little bit of a
burnin you can accentuate you know, how much you're doing or how fast you're
doing. You can do it the other way around but yeah you just it's so easy to use
and by the way all of these products that we have, we're not being sponsored
by anybody. I actually have worked on this a little bit with these products of
course with the weights and everything and I know that they're good. They're
good products and this is only about a hundred bucks. We have put it in the
amazon.com/shop/awesomeover50 store It's not really a store
they're just links on Amazon. You don't pay any extra for the products but we've
got it there. We also...it's under fun and exercise...we also have it as a link
underneath and so that you can go ahead and get yourself one of these great
little chairs. And for all the time I'm usually in my office chair but this is
so portable that just sits underneath my desk and I grab it when I want to use
utilize it. By the way of course we're required to tell you we make a
little bit of commission, but you know you guys are fantastic, let me know when
you get something, because it all really really helps us to keep on going. I'm
gonna put a few more minutes on with this baby and get my my tummy going here
maybe kind of like I said really accentuate
what I'm doing and starting to feel the burn. So number three still involves
sitting at my desk. So what am i doing in the kitchen?
Well I did this video on healthy snacking and I want to talk about
snacking because when you're sitting at your desk a lot of times you know your
stomach starts grumbling and you're kind of like okay it's three o'clock I've got to
eat something. You don't want to have bags of chips and all that unhealthy
stuff around, so I did a video on healthy snacking. I'm going to put the link up
there and you can watch that healthy popcorn with maple syrup
and I got a few tips there. One of my favorite...this is really my favorite
go-to snack...is these...well they call them craisins, but they're really dried
cranberries which are pretty healthy for you and then I have a mixture and I
sometimes by the cranberries and then I buy some kind of a nut. Maybe almonds or
something along those lines and I put it in a bowl for when I'm stacking. I
basically have this at my desk. I have the nuts at my desk and I mix them up in
a little bowl. The other thing that you can find is...you can find them....look
this one I've already used quite a bit, but you can find them already ready-made.
And so just look for those on the shelves if you don't want to kind of mix
them yourself, but this is a cashew cranberry and almond mix and I'm just
gonna put it in the bowl for you. And maybe Bill will take a little bit of a
close-up. I know cashews they might have a little bit of calories in them,
but I'll tell you something this is a great go-to. I've...maybe only eat about
this much...maybe even a little bit less and at my desk if you're going to do
this little routine that I'm showing you you've got to get rid of all that junk that
you have in your drawer and replace it with a couple of these. So what if your
eating your snacks and you're getting a little bit thirsty? Well
first of all I have water with me all the time. Like beside my bed. I wake up in
the morning and bring my water with me and i refresh it of course. and all day
long, right Bill, I always have that water beside me. I go for a drive in the car,
water beside me. So this is you know, they say you're supposed to drink like eight
cups a day, so this is a must an absolute must, but what about something with a
little more fun than water Heather. So I love tea. I love herbal teas and one I
found this little baby I think it's the most fantastic thing. It's a little
teapot...it's a little teapot....and what it does is just let me just kind of show
you what what I can do here. It has a strainer with it or you can buy a
strainer if you get it without a strainer. I just put in here a
little bit of tea. Maybe one teaspoon of tea, in this particular case it's like a
green tea and then I just sort of fill it up. I don't know if you can...
you probably can't see this, but I'm just filling it up to the top here and
letting it steep for a few minutes while maybe I'm doing something else in the
kitchen. While that's steeping I also have... and again we'll link to these...a travel
tea container and it also has a strainer in it so you can sort of see the
strainer in there if I can flip it out, but you put the teabags in there and
then they strain through before you drink them. So that's another handy
little gadget. So it doesn't take long to have your tea steeping and it's
probably ready right now. What I do is I just take it out of here and I have a
beautiful cup of tea and it is a natural blend, those four loose leaves that I put
in there. And as you can see...... I'm just going to pour my tea here now.
What I love about this especially at my desk is I can pour as little tea or as
much tea as I want and it's still staying fairly warm in here in the
little teapot. So yes you know...it's fun to go to these tea places and pick
out a tea. I'll also put some on line for you, but green tea is always very very good
for you and you might explain to somebody you know I I need a little bit
of energy do you have an herbal tea for that and
just talk to the people they know what they're doing. Don't buy any that
has caramel and chocolate in it....there's a lot of sweet ones out there too and certainly
if you want to do these exercises that I'm showing you do not get the lavender
ones because some of these teas will put you to sleep.
Okay since we're still in the kitchen, number 5 is doing my version of the Elaine dance. because I may have
something in the oven and it's going to go on for about 30 minutes. And you know
this music that I have here it's from YouTube. Buty I usually put on something
that I really can rock out with and dance with, but start busting a move here.
All right so if you're doing something like this for a while you're starting to
get that energy level up. You started to get your heart beating...everything's
there in the oven...it's still cooking and while I'm doing this like sometimes...now
make sure you're checking with a doctor or whatever when you do this, but I do
some high kicks. You know I don't like to sound silly but I've got a good support on
my shoes. I'm making sure that I'm well grounded. Do not try this at home if you
can't do the kicks, but it's called dancercise and it's a way you can also
put some moves in for your waist.
And I promise you you'll get a sweat and you will be amazed how much weight you
lose, but play your favorite song, your favorite rock song or whatever it is. So
number six. I would suggest to get yourself one of these wrists exercise
monitors and mine's a Fitbit. I absolutely love it.
But truth be told I've got it a while ago. I'm hardly wearing it. What! What
happened? Well it seems to be that you know it goes crazy when you do 10,000
steps. So I thought to myself...it does these fireworks that come on...it vibrates
and you really feel good about it, but I'm not doing 10,000 steps every single
day. So I started wearing it just when we were going for long walks or you know on
a nice sunny day, forget about that. Let me just show you a few things that this
does. So of course it tells you the time, but tap it...it shows you your steps...tap it
again it shows approximate heart rate...tap it again and distance you've walked and
also calories burned. I love it because it syncs with my cell phone
and vibrates when I have a message. So there you have it. It's really great, Bill
can attest to this. As I mentioned to you we've downsized but it's 14 steps down
for the second floor where the offices are and it's of course 14 steps up it's
also 14 steps down to the basement. I'd be working at my desk and I'd be
saying...Bill are you downstairs? Yeah...I'd say...okay can you bring me
some water? No....I've got this baby on. What I'm going to do is I'm going to
take those steps and I'm going to take them back up just like a Stairmaster
and make sure that I'm utilizing what the functions are for this every single
day. So starting today I'm going to wear it everyday. I'm going to get those steps
and look at those steps. I'm going to be proud of 5,000 I'm going to be proud of
3,000 but you gotta wear it or it's not gonna work.
So there you have it. You know I could have gone on and on with this video but
I didn't want it to go hours. Nobody would watch it. Things like healthy
smoothies and how I really try to only eat desserts on weekends and you know
there's a lot of other ideas that you can do just to help you...you know to keep
that weight down or at least maintained. And the other thing is I'm wearing my
awesome over tee...er... Awesome Over 50 t-shirt and right underneath this video
we have these t-shirts. So if you want to kind of join me on this routine I'd love
to know, you know how it's going for you in the comments. And maybe what you do is
you come home from work, you put on your awesome over 50 tee and you start
dancing around the kitchen like a dancing fool. So they say it takes 30 to
60 days to start to make a routine a habit and it generally works if that
habit is easy-peasy. You know you don't have to put on your coat and get in the
car and drive somewhere and do this and do that. You can sort of just do it at home
or do it in your office. That's going to stick and that's what you want.
You want something that sticks all right. So the other thing that I've done here
is I have taken the before pictures of my bat wings and my tummy and I'm going
to do a follow-up vet video. Look for that it'll probably be maybe in six or
eight weeks something like that. I'm going to do the follow-up and I'm going
to show you that I was doing it and it became a habit and that I saw some
results. And why don't you if you're watching this maybe take a shot of your
own tummy just for yourself of course and let's see if we can work together
and really make this happen. So Bill and I and of course the cuteness factor........
little Hurricane
We all want you to be healthy and happy and we really try hard to make the...

[CC] 2019 Goals | Sharing my Ambitions for 2019 - Duration: 11:08.
Hi guys! My name is Emily. Welcome back to my channel. Happy new year! Today I
thought we would start off with my 2019 goals. So these are reading and personal
goals. So I am using a Leuchtturm 1917. It is an A6, I believe -- it's a dotted
notebook -- to sort of organize my year and plan my goals. I am going to share with
you my goals which I have divided up into work , life, YouTube, and creative. For
work I want to look at shifting what I'm doing.
Whether that require more education. Whether that require volunteering , making
connections, networking, whatever. I want to sort of progress on the path that
I've set myself up for. Number two is to do some sort of freelance side hustle
work. Whether that be putting more effort into this YouTube channel or a podcast
or something else creative. I want to generate a little bit of revenue some
sort of side hustle revenue from a hobby, from something creative that I already
do just a sort of supplement the conventional work that I do. And then
number three is to look for internships and volunteer opportunities to try out
the various things that I think I might want to do. I have six goals for life in
general. Number one is to try and save ten thousand dollars to work towards
saving for a down payment on purchasing a property. Number two is to visit a new
province. One of my 30 before 30 bucket-list goals is to see all of the
Canadian provinces and territories and really see more of the country that I
live in and that I love to read about. So this year I would like to see one new
province. Number three is to try traveling solo. I haven't decided whether
this is like a big trip or whether this is just like driving like an hour away
by myself and planning to do something by myself in another city. Feeling more
independent and doing something that I find scary will be helpful. Number four
is to get healthy in mind, body, and food. I want to focus on my mental
health. Saying no to things that I need to say no to. Getting the appropriate
amount sleep. Asking for support when I need it. Healthy body: I have not
exercised since October 2018. My job is very physically demanding. Like lifting
boxes up to 40 pounds, pushing heavy carts of books, lifting, bending, climbing
ladders. Everything that I do is like lifting weight and moving and a full
shift you are on your feet constantly or you are moving, you are walking, you are
climbing. So it's not like I have been inactive but I haven't specifically
exercised -- done cardio, gone for a run, lifted weights -- since October. So I would
like to focus on not letting like the general pace of life be the physical
activity but specifically work on strengthening and stretching my body. And
number three, in terms of get healthy, is food. I am working towards being vegan
and I'm doing that slowly because going cold turkey didn't work for me because I
have other dietary restrictions. I know some people feel that cold turkey is a
great approach but I feel like what you often do when you go cold turkey is
supplement with a lot of like pre-made meals and I can't eat a lot of those
because they have wheat in them. So I am working instead on whenever I cook for
myself or for my family I am cooking a vegan meal.
I feel like now everybody has like a couple of recipes in their head that
they know how to make. They know how to make this meal and it tastes great and
they love it. I am working towards building those recipe staples for myself
as I progress towards vegan so that if I come home from a busy day of work it's
not like 'oh I have to flip through a book and find the recipe and make sure I
have all the ingredients'. It's like no these are staple items in my home this
is a recipe that I make all the time I don't need to look at the book. Number
five: continue to work on learning a second language. The second language I
have picked is German and I have decided to stop using Duolingo right now. I'm a
little bit annoyed with it and so instead I have decided to read six German
books. That is one book every two months. I have decided to focus more on like
grammar workbooks rather than Duolingo's random, repetitive, nonsensical sentence
things. Number six is to make time for relationships. I feel like it's -- with my
weird job schedule I have to be in bed by like 7:00/7:30 if I want anywhere
close to eight hours of sleep. (Just with my wake up and start time.) So it's really
hard to engage with other adults who are working nine-to-five jobs. I want to work
on prioritizing relationships while at the same time not sacrificing my mental
or physical health. So then we move on to YouTube. Number one is to find an upload
schedule that works. I have tried once a week. When I first
started every Sunday was what I did. For a while there, I was really pushing
myself for three videos a week, doing a lot of Top 5 Wednesdays and then the
last part of the year just sort of fell apart. I haven't settled on a good
filming routine and a good upload routine that is a manageable amount of
content. But I want to find one that works for me this year.
Number two is to challenge myself with content format. Obviously these sit down
videos where I just talk at a camera are like a staple. But when I can be creative
I want to try and do that more because I - I have planned videos where I'm like 'ah
this would be a really cool way to talk about this book, this would be a really
cool way to be a little more creative with this review or this discussion.' And
then because of the amount of time that I have for things, the time constraints
on things, I don't have the time to do that sketch or to collect that b-roll
footage. I want to try and prioritize making interesting content that
challenges me. Number three is to do in-depth reviews because I feel like
something that I really enjoy -- and something that I don't do very often
because they don't perform well -- where I just talk about things offer analysis
like the Dark Tower videos when I talked about each Dark Tower book and I just
sort of talked off-the-cuff about what I noticed, possible connections, like that
kind of stuff? That I really enjoy. I'm gonna try and just say 'fuck it.' So what
if this video doesn't perform as as a Top 5 video or monthly wrap-up? Like
this is something that I enjoy doing. I really do want to focus on making the
in-depth reviews for things that I am really excited about even if no one else
gives a shit. Number 4 is to finish the Dark Tower
series. It's just a thing that needs to happen. Number 5 is to close caption
all of the videos that I produce going forward. The last video that I posted --
like the first video I posted in January -- I did try using YouTube's tools to close
caption it. I think it's a bit of a learning curve as well. I'm not sure how
good a job I did. I'm gonna try and make the effort going forward of closed
captioning all the videos that I make. And then, when I have time, I am going to
slowly work through my backlog of videos and closed caption. Starting with
the things that are still the most viewed, I'm gonna go through and close
caption those first, because I want to make these videos accessible. Number 6 is
to reduce my TBR by 50%. So I have, one, two, three, four, five six shelves of unread books and a lot of
these things I have purchased since I became a bookseller because the discount
is very tempting. I want to really think about my book buying habits. I want to
buy zero books in January. I have set that as a goal for myself. Shop my
shelves. Try and design projects around books that I was really excited about
when I bought them and try and like really engage with the things that I
have. So then we move on to creative. Number one: I'm going to keep a secret.
Number two is to start recording a podcast and I'm going to keep the topic
for that secret as well. Number three is to edit the book that I wrote during
National Novel Writing Month of last year. Number four is to write another
novel for NaNoWriMo 2019 and number five is to take some sort of art or
photography class. I used to love art. It was one of the subjects that I excelled
at. I did all of the artsy things (except for drama -- not a big like performer). Art,
photography, music, all things that I loved. All things that brought me joy and
all things that have stopped doing since life got "too
busy" for them. I would like to sign up for a class -- and I know these things are
online via Skillshare and like, Master Class -- but I would like to take a
physical class at least while I start trying to build art back into my hobbies
and habits. Maybe photography because I wonder if taking a photography course
would give me skills to make better quality videos. I know a lot of you
complain about my lighting. I have no idea where to begin to even fix that. I
have lighting... Or watercolors. I'm thinking watercolors might also be fun. So those
are the goals overall. I want to, in terms of reading goals, read 52 books this year.
That's one book a week. I want to reread the Harry Potter series. Reread all of
the Tamora Pierce books and I'm just setting this as a goal again because I
started it last year but I would like to read them in chronological order and
focus on reading the books that I didn't reread last year if I'm not going to
read them completely in chronological order. I'm going to track my reading
again which I did last year and I really enjoyed. I'm going to insert a clip hopefully
of my last year's bullet journal where I kept track of the reading and I found
that really helpful just for myself making videos. Last year I set really
like broad, vague goals and then in like July had a bit of a breakdown when I
realized that it wasn't achieving any of them because they were all too broad and
I didn't have any way... like they weren't actionable. I have decided to break down
the year into quarters. And break down those (like, work, life, YouTube, and
creative) into quarterly goals. Furthermore, in each month break, down the
quarterly goals into small achievable goals with an action plan beside it so
that it's not just 'start a podcast.' It's like: 'by the end of the first quarter
have the ideas for the first three episodes, have contacted people that I
want to interview.' Those are my plans for 2019 and I shared them because a lot of
them are relevant to you guys, and to this channel, to my reading. I hope that 2019
will be a really great year for this channel. Thank you guys so much for
watching! And I will see you soon! Bye!

Instagram for Marketing Business Tips|Make Instagram Video For Business - Duration: 6:16.
Wondering how you can make videos on Instagram to turn your followers into patients?
Well, wonder no longer because this video is really going to help you.
My name is Dr. Desiree Yazdan, and I have used Instagram to grow my business, and I've
helped so many other health care professionals do the same, and now I'm going to teach you
as well.
Now, if you're inside of my program, Grow With The Gram, then there's an entire lesson
on how you can use video to grow your business.
So, make sure that you watch that fully and if you need to go back to it, but if you're
not inside my program, this video is going to give you some really good tips and strategies.
Now, of course you could hire a professional videographers to come into your office and
create videos for you, but if you're just starting out, or you don't have the budget
for that, then I'm going to teach you how you can do it yourself.
I actually make all my own videos that are on my Instagram page, and I encourage you
to do the same, because hiring a videographer, although it's really good, it gets really
expensive.
So, I'm going to teach you how you could do it.
Before, I get started, if you're trying to use social media to grow your business, then
make sure to subscribe to my channel and hit the bell to be notified every time I post
a new video.
So, if you've been flirting with the idea of creating videos to showcase your business
on Instagram or any social media platform, then stay tuned because by the end of this
video, you will have a step by step plan in place, so that you can create videos for your
business and turn your followers into actual patients in your office.
I am literally giving you the same steps that I use from my own social media pages where
I have turned my followers into patients.
So, step one is going to be to pick a procedure, or a product that you are going to be promoting
on social media.
Once you decide what procedure, or product, or whatever it is that you're promoting, you'll
have to decide how much of that procedure you want to use for a video.
Do you want the video to go from start to finish?
Do you want to show one specific part of the video?
What is it that you're really trying to showcase?
Get clear on that first and then move to step two.
Step two is going to be to create a shot list.
List the portions of the procedure you want to include in your video.
When you have an organized list like this, it makes it so easy so that you don't miss
anything.
The last thing you want to do is start recording and then go back later after you've already
done the procedure, and realize that you have missed so many steps in your recording process.
So, make a shot list so that you don't miss anything.
Now, step number three is going to be pretty simple.
It's to get your camera.
I know that sounds obvious, but a lot of people think that they have to use a really high
quality camera.
Guess what?
I use my iPhone and so can you.
I'm actually making this video that you're watching right now with my iPhone.
The one thing I want to make sure that you don't miss though is I want you to get a tripod.
You could get them on Amazon for really cheap between $10 and $30, and those are all good
enough to record your procedures, or any videos that you want to make.
The thing is you want to make sure that the videos you're recording are not shaky, so
make sure to invest in a tripod.
Now, I want you to comment below with the word tripod if you have one, because if you
don't, I want to be able to direct you to the right place to get one.
Now, step number four is to get your footage together.
You can use whatever editing software that works for you, but I like iMovie.
iMovie is so user friendly, I'm not very tech savvy, so using iMovie makes it really simple
and it lets you add a lot of effects.
For example, I edit these YouTube videos in iMovie.
Now, I'm not the best person at editing or making videos, but hey, you start with what
you've got and where you're at and you advance as you go along.
So, if you're stuck, try using iMovie to make your videos.
Trust me, it's not as hard as you think it is.
Step number five is going to be to add music and effects.
When you add music to your videos, it helps your audience stay engaged and watch your
video till the end.
It's really simple to add music to your videos using iMovie, so just check it out and try
it.
The other thing is to make sure that you add some effects.
Adding effects will also help your audience stay engaged with your videos.
By adding effects, I mean something so simple like slowing down parts of your video or speeding
parts of your video up, play around with it and see what works best for you and what style
you like the most.
And, that's it.
Those are the basics to creating videos, to use on Instagram to promote your business.
After you've created your video, now you're ready to upload.
Once you do this a few times, you'll really start to get the hang of it.
I remember the first few videos I made, it took me a long time to edit them, but once
you get the hang of it, it goes by really quickly and it becomes second nature to you.
So, get started now so that you can start using video on social media.
I hope this video was helpful for you and I can't wait to see what kind of videos you
make for your business.
Make sure to tag me on Instagram, it's @DRYAZDAN.
I'll link it in the notes in the description and I want to see what kind of videos that
you're making using these very tips.
And, one more thing, if you've been working on using Instagram to grow your business,
then make sure to download my Instagram guide for health care professionals.
I'm putting it in the description right below this video.
It's basically 30 captions that you can use to copy and paste whenever you're tired, or
you can use the captions as templates, or inspiration when you feel like creating your
own.
It also gives you a daily Instagram strategy so that you know exactly what to do when you
get on Instagram each day and you're trying to promote your business on it.
The link for the download is right below this video.
Now, if you liked this video, please let me know by liking it, subscribe to my channel
and share the video with your fellow healthcare professionals.
Make sure to comment below with the word helpful, if this video was helpful for you.
I'll see you in the next video.
