D'Onta Foreman Injury: Texans' RB is Unsure of Return | Heavy.com

The road to NFL stardom hasn't been great for Houston Texans second-year running back, D'Onta Foreman.

The former third-round pick hasn't had it easy at all since his rookie season ended due to a torn Achilles that he suffered last season.

Ever since he's gone down, Foreman hasn't had the chance to return to practice.

And now that we are halfway through the NFL season, Texans fans are curious as to when he will return.

There's some good news that came on Saturday morning head of week nine.

D'Onta Foreman just might return to practice next week! On Sunday, the Texans travel to Denver to take on the Broncos, which Foreman will not be a part of.

After week nine, the Texans will get the week off as they were issued a late, week ten bye week for 2018.

Texans head coach Bill O'Brien spoke to the media a few days ago regarding Foreman's return and made it very clear that they were going to at least wait until after the bye week.

But even with that information, there was still a chance that Foreman could wait even longer before his return in 2018.

Fortunately, NFL Network's Ian Rapoport has come with great news on Sunday morning, regarding Foreman's injury status.

Is the Return Coming Soon?.

This is excellent news for Foreman and the Texans as they are automatically going to get a week off after their matchup against the Broncos.

Although Foreman will be a longshot to play week 11, any progress is a step in the right direction as of now.

At this point, Foreman is on pace to miss an entire season's worth of games in his young career.

Last season, Foreman rushed the ball 78 times for 327 yards and two touchdowns in a ten game span.

This season, the Texans will be hoping just to get him back so he can return to the game.

It's doubtful that there are any expectations for Foreman to have any major significance for this season.

At this point, the Texans just want to make sure that he is going to be fine moving forward, as he was drafted to be the future of their backfield in 2017.

Bill O'Brien Sends Mixed Signals.

As of Monday morning, Bill O'Brien and the Texans stir things up, as the Foreman's return may be held off a little bit longer.

Although there is still a chance that Foreman can get back to practice this week, the uncertainty from the head coach definitely indicates that this process could be held off a little longer, which isn't great news for Foreman.

Considering the severity of the injury, the desire to take it easy makes a ton of sense.

At this point, though, it feels like Foreman could realistically miss the majority of the 2018 season.

Hopefully, we hear some better news regarding Foreman's as the week progresses.

Finally, at last, the Jacksonville Jaguars get some satisfying news.

As Week 10 starts up, their second-year running back, Leonard Fournette is again to practice.

The plan has been for Fournette to return after the bye for a few weeks now, but it was unclear whether he would actually be on the right track to a week ten comeback or not.

Ever since the beginning of the season, Fournette has been dealing with a hamstring issue.

After taking nine carries in week one, Fournette headed to the locker room to be ruled out for the game.

The injury wasn't expected to be anything long-term, although he missed week two.

So, Fournette came back for week three and managed to take on 11 carries before he tweaked his hamstring once again.

Since then, he hasn't practiced, nor played.

As the fantasy season is beginning to hit home stretch before playoffs, many rosters have suffered from a high selection like Fournette on the bench.

As he is on track to return week 10, it's unclear just how much work he's going to get.

You would have to imagine that the Jaguars are going to ease Fournette back into his role.

With T.J.

Yeldon doing okay, and Carlos Hyde knowing the playbook and the offense a little bit better, the Jags don't have to rush Fournette back into taking 20-25 carries.

In fact, it's doubtful that he even gets anywhere close to that.

This season is almost scrapped for Jacksonville, and there's no possible way that they risk Fournette's long-term health for nothing.

So, as a fantasy owner reaching the trade deadline, what should you do?.

Sell or Hold Fournette Ahead of the Playoff Run?.

If you held onto Fournette through all of this time, then chances are you can't wait to throw him back into the mix.

Here's a little bit of advice, though.

Throw out some feelers to sell.

If your team is already doing okay without him, take advantage of his return by making a trade and finding a player that's sure to help your team.

If you can't sell Fournette, then have a backup handy.

Make sure you can at least get a handcuff with Yeldon, or Hyde.

Like I said, Fournette is going to be eased back into his role.

By the time the Jags start using him the way they used to, the fantasy season may almost be over.

So, sell if you can, and only hold if you have a backup on board already.

Hi! I'm Carolyn Yuen Marino, creator and writer of Sweet & Power.

Welcome to Episode 2 of Short & Sweet, where we do a quick debrief of the previous episode and answer any of your questions.

Today we have two guests with us.

We've got Yeji Sakoda who plays Yoona Kang,

and Burt Shin, who plays Sung Min, her boyfriend in Episode 2.

How do we all know each other?

Uh, we know each other from, uh,

the Hennessy days...

The real Hennessy days.

And we used to... we used to...

We used to study together actually. That's how we met. - That's right.

We were hardworking students.

Thanks so much for agreeing to play Sung Min, especially after Episode 1 "Proof".

In Episode 1, we find out that Cici and Noy don't like Sung Min very much...

probably because he sent a few choice pictures to some girls.

Never would have done that in real life.

So in Episode 2 "Boys", I wanted to delve into Yoona and Sung Min's relationship a little bit more.

How did you feel preparing for the role of Sung Min?

It was fun. I laughed a lot.

I had a lot of private laughing moments to myself in my car.

While you were running lines?

My brother would see me driving home, and I would be talking really animatedly in the car by myself.

And he was like, who are you talking to on the phone? - You were just getting into character.

Did you feel like Sung Min was a bad boyfriend?

No, I thought he was a good boyfriend actually.

A really good... he was a really good guy. I mean, he had his issues, he has vices... - Who doesn't?

He's got a lot of redeeming qualities though. - Exactly.

I think he really cares about Yoona, and obviously doesn't want her doing Addys... or anything else, I'm sure.

Why did you want Yoona and Sung Min to meet at a college party, like the way they did?

Well, it probably went down like that.

That's probably, yeah, based on actual events.

The footage was actual footage from 2008.

We dug it up from our Nokia phones or our Sidekicks or Motorolas. - Yeah, it was pretty impressive you guys found all that.

We're not that dated.

Well, I wanted all the college scenes to have the same feel.

You know, sometimes when you're in that party life, every night just feels the same,

or is all just a blur.

Yoona's also living it up in college right now, when she feels like her behaviors are acceptable.

So she's going out, getting with guys...

Plus, we wanted to shoot every scene with Yoona leading the guys up the stairs,

because we wanted to show that she was in control,

and that there is nothing wrong with women who are sexually empowered.

That's right.

Why do you think Yoona could be herself in college but not so much once she's graduated?

There is a line in the party scene where Cici talks to Noy about how

Papa Kang never lets Yoona out of the house.

She's just like really wanting freedom in college.

She has developed this pattern of hiding her habits,

and hiding a lot of secrets from her friends and family.

And now that she's in her mid-20s, she feels like it's really hard to break out of that pattern.

Plus, she just has like a lot on her plate.

She feels like she needs to be a forgiving girlfriend,

and she has to be a good friend to her friends like Cici.

Even though Yoona has a ton of work, she still goes out with Cici.

She's just a ride-or-die chick.

Yeah, she shows up. - She's a good friend.

It kind of compounds the stress on Yoona. It makes it so that she doesn't have anyone to talk to.

Plus, she's so busy and stressed out, and now she's resorting to some of these unhealthier habits.

Yeah, she's just kind of digging her own grave.

Plus, Cici is "hella judge-y".

We've all had these friends who are really protective of you,

and Cici is one of those friends to Yoona.

That makes it really difficult for Yoona to kind of be herself around her.

Cici has... - Good intentions, but is just a little intense.

Needs to lighten up.

Just a little bit.

Maybe take a hit.

"Maybe you should take another hit."

Cici really should.

Well, people keeping secrets is one of the themes of Episode 2.

We have Yoona lying to her friends, boyfriend, and really herself.

We've got Robin who's secretly engaged.

We have Noy who shared that she's had a longterm crush on Yoona.

We'll just have to see how this all unfolds in the rest of Sweet & Power.
