the AT word family we will learn about
the sound it makes and what it looks
like we might also have some fun
surprises while we're learning and I bet
you're wondering why do I have all these
letters here we're gonna soon find out
so let's get started first you have to
ask yourself when you say at what sound
do you hear first let's say it's slow ah
that's right you hear that A Sound which
is the letter A and then what sounds you
hear at the end let's say it again
that's right the T makes it so so now we
have our two letters that make the sound
AT all these other letters we don't need
so let's get rid of them so let's take a
closer look at that at word family so
closer closer closer whoa
too close okay perfect here we have our
two letters that make up the at word
family the a and the T and together they
make now we're going to learn how to
read by thinking of some words that have
that at or family let's see what could
be my first word hmm what is that up
there oh I think that's our first clue
what does that look like
that's right it's a hat let's say hats

what's that missing letter here that has
the word what's the missing letter
that's right
H the H makes that sounds so now we have
aa hat stay together

now that we made our first wear let's
see if we can make some other words so
here I have hat let's try to change the
word hat into cat what letter will I
need to take out that's right
H ello letter do I need to make the word
cat ah that's right a see cuz this C
makes that Sam what do we have there
that looks like a cat awesome job
now that we've made cat let's see if we
can think of another word wait that
looks like a cat oh that's a fat cat
let's see if we can write the word fat
now let's say the word fat slow what
sound you hear first
and we know what two letters make the AK
sound
that's right a and T so here we have a
little phrase fat cat and there you have
them oh here we go again I think that's
our next clue what does that look like
that's right it does look like a rat so
if I want to write the word rat what
letter do I need to take out that's
right take out my C now I still have
that fact family but now I want rats
so what letter is missing oh that's
right an R so now I have the word Brooke
rat before we go into our next word I'm

anymore so I'm gonna take my feet out
and I'm gonna surprise you with this
letter

the L makes up all sound so let's see if
