One of the common things people say when it comes to warm market prospecting is, "I don't
want to bug my friends and family."
And you're right, you shouldn't.
But you also need to be aware of your perspective you have around warm market prospecting.
If you find value in a new fitness app or you've been to a new restaurant that was really
good, wouldn't you want to share it with your close friends and family?
There are effective ways to share with your friends and family about what you're up to
and you definitely shouldn't be bugging them about it.
You don't want to be left with no more friends.
So we're going to share with you 3 tips for effective warm market prospecting.
1.
Share Your Story & Have Belief
Open up and share what you're up to and why you decided to start your own network marketing
business.
If you're really close to them and there is a strong level of trust in your relationship,
invite them to check it out to see if it would be a good fit for them if you really think
they would benefit from seeing it.
If you're not as close, you may need to qualify them first to find out if you're able to help
them with what you have.
Find out if they have a need or a want for what you have to offer.
The people who do want to join network marketing want to make sure you're serious about your
business and that you can help them.
So make sure you share your story and have belief about what you're up to.
2.
Don't Be Attached To the Outcome
Let go of any expectations from your warm market.
When you get attached to the outcome, you put pressure on them and it turns them off.
You're not really giving them the space to see if this is the right fit and for them
to make their own decision about it.
When you're attached to the outcome, it can blind you and you start doing things that
aren't aligned with your values.
This is when you start to bug your friends and family because you're too attached to
the outcome.
Because you're not giving them the space to comfortably say no to you.
Don't have any expectations.
You just have to understand that no matter how excited you are about your network marketing
business, that not everyone in your warm market will feel the same or join your network marketing
company.
It may not be the right fit or it may just not be the right time for them to join.
Don't keep asking or bugging them about it.
Offer it and if they say no, just move on and keep building your business.
Your business success shouldn't be dependent on only having your friends or family join.
And your friendship shouldn't change whether or not they join your network marketing business
or whether or not they decide to buy products and services from you.
Many times, your friends and family want to see if this business really works so they
want to see you do it first and see what kind of results you get before they join.
So be the example and show them what's possible instead of pressuring them to join.
3.
Treat Others the Way You Want to be Treated
Never pitch anyone.
No one likes to be sold to and you don't want to do that with your warm market.
You just need to find out if what you have to offer can benefit them and to share your
story.
Don't use hype, don't lie, don't beg.
These are lower energy tactics that come from desperation.
Think about the reasons why you buy from someone and why do you not buy from someone.
Maybe the customer service rep was really competent, helpful and friendly on the phone
even though you aren't tech savvy and were a little slow to keep up.
Or maybe the sales person was in a bad mood and was rude to you when you asked them a
little question.
Thinking about why you buy and why you don't buy from someone can give you some perspective
on how to treat others.
Keep in mind that friendships are like bank accounts.
You gotta make some deposits in order to make some withdrawals.
If you don't see or talk to your friend that often but you only seem to call them up whenever
you need a favour, well, you gotta put yourself in their shoes and think about how they might
feel about that.

When it comes to warm market prospecting, you need to put aside your goals and focus
on your prospect and what their needs and wants are.
When you share your story and belief, treat them with respect, and let go of your expectations,
you don't have to bug your warm market about anything.
