Altered boxes for apothecary's drawing room (part 1) - Duration: 4:47.hello my name is Christina Fox and in this video I want to start altering some
of these little boxes. I've got some hopefully some good ideas and one of the
things I want to do is - I want to cover one of them in leaves so I've been soaking
these in glycerin so I want to decorate that with leaves. a second one I want to
make it look as if it's made with Dragon skin so I need scales on it and it
seems one of the ways you can do that is to use eggshells so I've been saving up
all my eggshells from cooking and clean those up so that's what the second box
will be. so that they should hopefully look like Dragon skin
the third one - I'm gonna try and make it look kind of metallic and I've been
testing things out and I think I can sort of paint this to look like copper
and you know the colour that copper goes it is called verdigris. it's a
lovely sort of greeny blue sort of changed that copper has. so I thought I
might try that on the third box - and the idea is all of these will go into my
apothecaries drawing room for Halloween and I've also got as well these little
skulls that I've made and I'll do that in a separate video on how I made those
and that's these little guys and I'm really pleased with those they look
really good and you can paint them all different colors so this one I've sort
of painted to look kind of metallic and slightly verdigris so that will probably
go on that box I may do something with these I'm not sure - if I eat more
cheese then I'll have some more boxes because these little boxes I haven't bought
they're nothing special I just got these in the supermarket and if you if you go
and have a look in your cheese section of your supermarket you'll probably find
cheese's in these little sort of other cardboard boxes of wooden boxes. now the
problem is this one is cardboard and if I just paint it I think it will distort.
and I know that because when I did this book
if you look it doesn't really shut anymore and that's because the paint
that I put on it sort of soaked in and then as it dried its distorted the book.
so I'm gonna have to find some way of sort of clamping that downs or closing
it and I don't want these to distort. so what I'll do is cover them first in
gesso. so gesso is really a kind of a glue with a texture in it and I've made
my own gesso just to save some money and all it is is PVA glue and talcum powder
the cheapest talcum powder I could find and I followed some recipes that I saw
on other YouTube video.s so what I will do is I'll put a link to that to one of
those so you can see how to make it as well. once it's dry then I'll do a coat
of paint and I'll probably just paint them all black I think to start off with
because it'll just help to cover all the writing and branding that's on them
already obviously there's quite a fair bit on
these so that's what I'm going to do to begin.

Netflix are hiring for arguably the perfect job in the world, where you'll get paid to binge-watch and critique the streaming platform's shows.
A job opening has been posted on the platform's website looking for an editorial analyst, who will 'watch, research, rate, tag, annotate and write analysis for movie and TV content'.
In other words, you'll be watching loads of shows while occasionally giving the thumbs up and filing it under a genre.
The job however does require you have an expert level of TV and movie knowledge, while also being able to summarise shows in succinct fashion.
So you probably won't just be binging back with a casket of popcorn, but heck – it beats most other jobs, right? .

Jeremy Meeks' ex-wife 'lost baby after he left her for Chloe Green' - Duration: 2:55.Jeremy Meeks' ex-wife 'lost baby after he left her for Chloe Green'
Jeremy Meeks' estranged wife Melissa has claimed she suffered a miscarriage after the 'hot felon' left her for Chloe Green.
It has been rumoured that Topshop heiress Chloe, 27, is expecting her first child with Jeremy, 34, with Green hiding her stomach in a recent family picture.
Now, Melissa has claimed that her and Jeremy's eight-year-old son Jeremy Jr confirmed the news to her – and that she lost a baby of her own after her husband left her.
The 37-year-old nurse said that she and Jeremy – known as the 'hot felon' thanks to a 2014 mugshot which went viral – reunited after pictures emerged of him kissing Chloe on a yacht, but that Jeremy filed for separation after they slept together.
Melissa told the Daily Mail: 'Next thing I know is there are more pictures of her and him out and about on the town in LA.
Those came out on my birthday, July 14.
It felt very cruel.
'A few weeks later I discovered I was pregnant, but I was under so much stress I lost the child.' Melissa, who married Jeremy in 2008, also claimed that her son was the one to tell her that Chloe was pregnant – rumours Chloe and Jeremy have not yet confirmed.
She said: 'We [Melissa and her son Jeremy Jr] were messing around with a basketball when he stuck it under his shirt and said: "Look, I'm pregnant." 'I asked him: "Why would you do that? Do you know somebody who's pregnant?" He said: "Yes, Chloe".
It was as if my heart stopped for a little bit.' Melissa admitted that she was shocked, but said she 'knew it was coming', adding: 'To me, starting a family with a billionaire's daughter is the golden ticket, right?' Jeremy began a modelling career after his release from prison, where he served 27 months for possession of a firearm and grand theft.

Tiffany Watson 'moving to Australia for new mystery man' months after quitting Made In Chelsea - Duration: 3:21.Tiffany Watson 'moving to Australia for new mystery man' months after quitting Made In Chelsea
Tiffany Watson is planning to move to Australia, after falling for a mystery man.
The Made In Chelsea favourite – who made her split from Sam Thompson official last year – is planning to head down under on her quest for love.
Tiffany let her hair down for the Madison Club Brunch Party, along with a host of other famous faces including Vanessa White and Jaime Winstone, when she let slip about her new beau.
And an insider revealed they overheard the Lucy Watson's sister open up about her potential move.
'Tiffany was at Madison's on Friday night with a bunch of friends and she seemed really happy to be out,' a source revealed.
'She was talking about how keen she is to go back to Australia very soon, hinting she was keen to reunite with a guy out in the sunshine'.
She recently made headlines after being spotted kissing a mystery man, while enjoying herself at a pool party – but is he who she is making the huge move for? We need answers! Tiffany has had a jet-setting 2018 so far, heading to Thailand, Mexico, Miami and Mexico in recent weeks.
And, while Lucy Watson's sister has yet to confirm the identity of her new man, she recently hinted she had surrounded herself with people that 'make her happy'.
Alongside a snap of herself in Mexico, she told her 535k Instagram followers: '2018 has been amazing so far… 'I am focusing on exactly what I want to be achieving, surrounding myself with people that make me happy and encourage me to believe in myself and I've been so lucky to visit some new beautiful countries already.
'My focus this year is my work, my family and my friends,' she added.
Tiffany officially split from Sam last year, after the pair decided to go on an ill-fated break which saw Louise Thompson's brother enjoy a fling with co-star Mimi Bouchard.
Speaking about their breakup, the 24-year-old admitted being part of the e4 show put a lot of pressure on their romance.
'I was in love with Sam, we even discussed getting married, and being on TV put pressure on the relationship,' she told The Sun.
'There were some things I didn't want to film because I wanted to protect him, but I knew I had to.' .

DR. TROLLFACE HAS THE CURE FOR WILSON'S DISEASE - Duration: 10:29.Hello there.
I am doctor B. S. Trollface. I studied biology at Brown University and then pursued a PhD
in Quantum Nutrition from the University of South California. I am making this video today
because all Wilson's disease patients deserve to know the truth. And the truth is, you have
been lied to.
Your doctors have told you that Wilson's disease is genetic, but that's not the whole
story. If Wilson's disease was just genetic, it would show up at birth like Down syndrome.
But nobody has symptoms of Wilson's disease when they are born, and that's because there
are certain factors in your environment that wake up the dormant Wilson's disease gene.
Through my research I have identified these factors, which include vaccines, because they
contain copper and other heavy metals; and also chemtrails, because they spray chemicals
your liver is unable to detoxify.
The second lie your doctors have told you is that Wilson's disease cannot be cured;
they say it can only be treated with hard chelation drugs and artificial zinc supplements.
But if you really think about it you will see that this mainstream treatment makes no
sense. If chelation drugs are effective, why do they have so many side effects, and why
do so many patients feel worse when they start taking them? And if Wilson's disease is
caused by an overload of copper, which is a heavy metal, why would you treat it by taking
zinc, which is also a heavy metal?
The mainstream medical industry does not want you to ask yourself these questions. They
don't want you to use your common sense and critical thinking skills. They want you
to believe that you need to take these drugs and supplements for the rest of your life,
so they can keep poisoning you and taking your money.
But your time is up, Big Pharma. You have been exposed. I have discovered the cure for
Wilson's disease, and you will not stop me from sharing it with those who need it.
Meet Cupritin Forte. My patented blend of botanical and mineral extracts will regenerate
your liver, reverse all your neurological symptoms, heal you at the cellular level,
and whiten your teeth. 100% natural and organic! Zero side-effects! For only 999 dollars you
can get the 3-month treatment plan. By taking your daily dose of Cupritin Forte for 90 days
you will be cured from Wilson's disease. YOU. WILL. BE. CURED. FOREVER. As long as
you follow the included lifestyle guide, where I teach you how to avoid vaccines, chemtrails,
and other environmental triggers that can re-awaken the Wilson's disease gene.
If you are unable to comply with the lifestyle guide and your Wilson's disease does resurface,
you can purchase a 2-month follow-up plan for 699 dollars. And if you need extra support
when trying to change your lifestyle in order to keep yourself free from Wilson's disease,
you can book an individual coaching session through my web store, and my rate is only
99 dollars per hour.
Go today to www.cupritinforte.com to invest in a real solution to your health problems
and the one and only real cure for Wilson's disease.
Ha! Gotcha, Copperheads! It is me, Cupri, and today is April Fools Day! Yayyyy! You
know me, I like to be fun, but also educational. So in addition to pranking you by posing as
this Dr. B. S. Trollface who wants to sell you a fake cure for Wilson's disease, I'm
gonna debunk him and give you some tips on how to spot pseudoscience and pseudomedicine.
And "pseudo-" in this case means fake.
I want to make something clear: if you at some point have been fooled by somebody's
empty promises, it is not your fault and I don't hold it against you. But if you're
selling fake therapies and turning patients away from treatment that actually works, my
full scientific wrath is gona fall upon you. Beware, Trollfaces of the world, the Copperhead
army is onto you.
Anyways! So how can you spot pseudocience and pseudomedicine? Your main tool is gonna
be knowledge. If you don't know anything at all about Wilson's disease, about medicine,
or about human biology, what Dr. Trollface said might sound totally reasonable. But if
you know even just a little bit, you might become suspicious and do some digging into
his claims with the help of the internet. And here are are 10 tips I want to share with
you today.
Tip number 1: check the credentials. Dr. Trollface said that he studied biology at Brown University.
A quick search shows that there is indeed a biology undergraduate degree at Brown University.
Many educational institutions have an alumni search engine, so you can look up this person's
name to see if they actually studied there. The only issue with the name search is that
many people change their names for legitimate reasons some time after college, for example
if they get married, if they are transgender and don't feel comfortable with the name
they were assigned at birth, or many other reasons.
But moving on! Dr. Trollface also said that he did a PhD in Quantum Nutrition at the Universty
of South California, and all of that is definitely fake. Quantum Nutrition is not a scientific
field of study, and there is no University of South California. There is a University
of Southern California. And this is a common trick used by people with fake credentials:
they make up terms by putting fancy words together or by making them sound very similar
to other stuff that's actually real. And since this guy probably doesn't have a PhD,
we're not gonna call him "doctor" anymore.
Tip number 2: notice if this person or company claims that they're the only ones telling
the truth. Mr. Trollface said a number of things, like "Wilson's disease patients,
you have been lied to"; "Big Pharma, you have been exposed"; "Big Pharma, you will
not stop me"; "I have the one and only real cure for Wilson's disease". When
someone does this they want to appeal to your emotions; they want you to feel afraid and
paranoid so you stop trusting scientific evidence as a whole and start trusting this person
as an individual.
Tip number 3: watch out for words and phrases that sound scary. Mr. Trollface said stuff
like "vaccines that contain heavy metals", "chemtrails that spray chemicals your liver
is unable to detoxify", "hard chelation drugs", "artificial zinc supplements",
"the mainstream medical industry wants to keep poisoning you". By applying all these
scary buzzwords to his competition, he is trying to make sure that you feel afraid of
it even if you don't 100% understand what he's saying.
Tip number 4: watch out for deflection. Mr. Trollface said things like "the mainstream
medical industry does not want you to ask yourself these questions. They don't want
you to use your common sense and critical thinking skills". The thing is, that's
precisely what he wants to do. He doesn't want you to think critically about what's
he's saying, because if you do, you will realize that he's selling a fake product.
So by acusing some else of doing the thing, he can distract you from the fact that he
is, himself, doing the thing.
Tip number 5: watch out for lies. People like Mr. Trollface will often put lies next to
truths or half-truths so that the lies sound more legit. For example, he said that people
"don't have symptoms of Wilson's disease when they are born", which is true; and
right after that he said this is because there are "environmental factors which wake up
the Wilson's disease gene", which is false, as you know if you have watched my videos
Copperheads 2 and Copperheads 3, which are about genetics.
Tip number 6: watch out for bad logic. Mr. Trollface said stuff like "if Wilson's
disease was just genetic, it would show up at birth like Down syndrome". And this is
where knowledge becomes crucial. If you are knowledgeable about human genetics, you might
know that there are many genetic diseases that are not visible or detectable at birth;
likewise, if you are knowledgeable about Wilson's disease, you might know that the symptoms
are due to copper accumulation, and that you cannot have symptoms at birth because you
haven't had time to eat stuff with copper yet.
Tip number 7: watch out for big claims and small evidence. Mr. Trollface is trying to
sell you Cupritin Forte by saying that his "patented blend of botanical and mineral
extracts will regenerate your liver, reverse all your neurological symptoms, heal you at
the cellular level, whiten your teeth", and it's natural and it's organic and
it has zero side-effects. [sigh] Big claims require big evidence. And where is the data?
How and where was the data obtained? Where are the studies? Who published the studies?
Where is the press coverage for this amazing discovery? It is up to the person who makes
a claim to prove themselves right, so ask them to do so.
Tip number 8: watch out for caveats. So Mr. Trollface claims that his "treatment"
can cure your Wilson's disease. Ah, but there's a catch! If you fail to comply with
his "lifestyle guidelines" you can "reawaken" Wilson's disease. This way he's all covered
when you find out that you obviously are not cured from Wilson's disease. And also this
way he can continue to make money off you by selling you his "follow-up plan".
Tip number 9: just because it looks or sounds good doesn't mean it's legit. Mr. Trollface's
part of the video shows a little mockup of the Cupritin Forte box and the lifestyle guide
book. I didn't take the time to create other stuff like a website, brochures, maybe even
some fake clinical studies. But I could have! Because anyone with a computer and/or money
can create a beautiful product that looks very professional, even if it's total BS.
Likewise, anyone who's good at talking can make a bunch of BS sound convincingly true.
And finally, tip number 10: learn more about both real science and pseudoscience. This
little video is by no means comprehensive; there are way more tricks people will use
when trying to sell you fake science, and the most effective way to stop them from fooling
you, is by knowing more than them.
Alright Copperheads! That's all for this april 1st bonus. We will continue on Wednesday
with our usual weekly educational videos. Until then, you can subscribe on YouTube,
follow on Instagram, like on Facebook or send me an e-mail. My name is Cupri; see you there,
Copperheads!
