Floyd Mayweather RINSED by Ricky Hatton for 'Conor McGregor UFC fight' - Duration: 4:30.Floyd Mayweather RINSED by Ricky Hatton for 'Conor McGregor UFC fight'
Mayweather, 41, confirmed last month that he has started training, sparking talk he may step into the Octagon with McGregor, 29.
Speculation hints that it may just be a publicity stunt, but the bout would mark a cross-sport rematch after Mayweather secured a 10th round stoppage over the Irishman in the ring last year.
And Hatton, 39, has torn into the potential bout and believes the undefeated boxing supremo will struggle carry out any MMA manoeuvres.
The former multi-weight world champ – who lost to Mayweather in 2007 in a 10th round stoppage – told Daily Star Online: Im not having a pop at Floyd Mayweather or Conor McGregor, but he (McGregor) took a bit of a hammering, didnt he? Everyone I speak to, from their opinion, they saw it as a bit of a joke.
Conor can box a bit, from his own sport.
But everyone said in the boxing ring it was a bit of a joke, and I cant see it getting any better in the Octagon.
At least Conor can box a little bit, but can Floyd wrestle? He doesnt go anywhere near anyone. Hatton – who slammed calls to ban boxing ring girls a joke last month – said Mayweather will find it particularly hard to clinch.
Clinching is when a UFC fighter grabs their opponent by the back of the neck, or under the arms, bringing them closer before striking or to get them to the ground.
"I think it will be a joke, I can only see Mayweather running" Ricky Hatton McGregor – who is facing three counts of assault and one of criminal mischief for allegedly throwing a metal rail at a bus – has a record of 21-3 in the Octagon.
But although former five-weight world champion Mayweather holds a record 50-0 tally, he has never set foot inside the brutal cage of a MMA fight.
Hatton told us: I think it will be a joke, I can only see Mayweather running, I dont think hes going to sit in there and have a wrestle with Conor, is he? I think its unfair to say that Conor and Floyds boxing fight was an absolute disaster, but it didnt go down a bundle and I dont think it did any favours with the boxing, it made a bit of a mockery.
Thats not just my opinion thats public perception after they saw it, so I cant see how this is going to do both sports any better.
Floyd is a beautiful boxer, a beautiful technician, a master of defence.
But hes never had to roll on the floor with anyone, hes never even been in a clinch with anyone, I cant see how it would work. Earlier this month Hatton hit out at d***head trolls who criticised him on social media after a boxer who fights under his company, Hatton Promotions, was stretchered to hospital.
Lucas Browne was knocked out in the sixth round to Dillian Whyte but Hatton came under fire for calling it a 50/50 contest.
He told us: And then people on social media were saying, what do you know Ricky, a 50/50 fight? He got absolutely battered.
They were knocking Lucas, saying it was a load of rubbish, and I thought, the fella has been stretchered and carried out of the ring..

LFC NEWS : LIVERPOOL WILL SIGN MAX MEYER FOR NABY KIETA PARTNER - Duration: 2:24.the arrival of maybe Keita has been anticipated by the Reds faithful since
his transfer was announced last summer with the summer transfer window just
over two months from reopening the Liverpool supporters are beginning to
look ahead and discuss a handful of potential signings and one man who has
recently appeared in conversation is max Meyer of shock Meyer has been linked
with a move away from Jacques since the beginning of the season and the club
confirmed that the 22 year old prospect will indeed depart the summer via their
official Twitter page Meyers contract is set to expire following a nine-year
association with the club so he will be available for a free transfer a fact
which Liverpool should take full advantage of although Meyer has not
managed to provide an assist for score a single goal in the Bundesliga this
season it must be considered that he has adapted this game and flourished within
a new role the season in front of the back for minor was previously renowned
for being a creative number 10 player but after struggling to make an impact
in that position he has reverted to a more defensive role where he has greater
freedom to showcase his creative in ball playing talents the German international
is far from a destroyer and that will suit Jurgen Klopp style a free-flowing
counter-attacking football alongside maybe Keita and any one of
Jordan Henderson Alex oxlade-chamberlain and Georgian yawen algum the Reds will
have a diverse midfield platform from which to build a title charge
considering Meyer will shortly become a free agent
there is simply no risk for club to target his compatriot in the summer
window they will undoubtedly be competitors swooping over the promising
German talent who will be fighting for the opportunity to help Meyer realize
the full extent of his potential but whilst young players such as Trent
Alexander Arnold Joe Gomez and even explain Chamberlain are making such an
impact at the club Liverpool will certainly represent a mightily appealing
destination for Meyer

DEVELOPING NOW Trump Calls For Resignation of Crooked Dem Senator After Attack On Trump's Doctor - Duration: 12:34.DEVELOPING NOW: Trump Calls For Resignation of Crooked Dem Senator After Attack On Trump's
Doctor
Capitol Hill has been a rumor mill and a tornado all wrapped up on one over the past month
because of the nomination and vetting process going on regarding the next Secretary of Veterans
Affairs.
Congressional and Senate Democrats hated Ronny Jackson as a nominee and they did everything
in their power to discredit him.
Now the President is looking for blood in order to get back.
On Saturday morning the President called for Senator Jon Tester's (Montana) resignation.
The President did not like the allegations that Tester was hurling against Jackson and
he wants him to be held accountable.
So he went to none other than Twitter to express his distaste.
Jackson was a White House doctor as well as Navy Admiral.
He withdrew his nomination this past Thursday.
This effectively too him out of the running to become the next Secretary of the Department
of Veterans Affairs.
The rumors and allegations out there are that Jackson had a shady background regarding prescription
drug practices and alcohol use.
In addition, Jackson was accused of being an alcoholic, getting drunk, and wrecking
the provided government vehicle that he had after a going away party that the Secret Service
threw for him.
Tester, the top Democrat on the Republican-controlled Senate Veteran Affairs Committee, is seeking
a third Senate term this year in a state Trump won in 2016 with 56 percent of the vote.
On Friday, the White House pushed back again the allegations, saying records, including
police reports, show Jackson was in three minor vehicle incidents in government vehicles
during the last five years, but none involved the use of alcohol and he was not found to
be at fault.
In one case, a side-view mirror was clipped by a passing truck, while in another incident
an enraged driver in Montgomery County, Maryland, allegedly punched out Jackson's window during
a morning drive to Camp David.
In addition, the White House medical unit Jackson ran found that he successfully passed
regular controlled substance audits, according to the records for the last three years.
The reviews did recommend improvements to the medical unit's handling of controlled
substances but did not find misconduct.
The Associated Press reviewed the documents Friday.
They were the result of an internal White House review of allegations raised against
Jackson during his brief confirmation process.
The White House said the records, covering recent years, disprove the allegations.
Tester's office has not specified the time frame during which the alleged misconduct
occurred.
The senator's spokeswoman Marnee Banks said the office would not comment until it knew
more about the White House records.
Separately, the Secret Service said it has no evidence to support an allegation that
its personnel intervened to prevent Jackson from disturbing former President Barack Obama
during a foreign trip in 2015.
In a statement dated Thursday, the Secret Service said it had conducted a "thorough
review" of internal documents related to Obama's foreign trips in 2015 and interviewed
people who were present.
The agency said it has found "no information that would indicate the allegation is accurate"
and no record of any incident involving Jackson.
CNN had reported allegations that Jackson drunkenly banged on the hotel room door of
a female employee and that Secret Service personnel intervened out of concern that he
would wake Obama.
Jackson has denied the accusations, calling them "baseless and anonymous attacks"
on his character and integrity that are "completely false and fabricated."
Asked about the situation at a joint press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel,
Trump called the Jackson situation "an absolute disgrace."
"These were false accusations about a great man; about a man who has a son who's a top
student at Annapolis; about a man that's given his life to this country, and to the
military — a brave man.
He would have been a great leader," Trump complained, noting that he, Obama and former
President George W. Bush had all praised the doctor's conduct in the past.
Trump said he'd called Jackson earlier Friday and told him that he was "an American hero"
because he'd "exposed the system for some horrible things."
The Democratic staff on the committee considering Jackson's nomination also claimed Jackson
had doled out such a large supply of a prescription opioid that staffers panicked because they
thought the drugs were missing.
They said their allegations were based on conversations with 23 of Jackson's current
and former colleagues at the White House Medical Unit."
This latest problem is nothing more than democratic obstructionism.
Democratic officials are so upset because they do not have the majority in Congress,
the White House, or the Senate, and thus the only way they can exert any power is by remaining
relevant in the media.
Those who are hurting the most are the American people who desperately need the Secretary
position filled.
Especially those who are veterans waiting in limbo while the department goes un-managed.
This is a problem dealt with through several agencies.
Whether it's NASA or the Post Masters, positions are going unfilled and the American people
are hurting
Share if you agree the Senator should resign for his shameful behavior.
