Hey guys welcome to another training update video so I know you guys are
expecting week five I actually turned this more into the test week because I'm
going to restart the jacked and tan program just want to show with this lift
here real quick this is probably the best squat in my life right here
275 felt perfect I've never squatted that weight that easily ever
before here I'm just I was feeling really good
so I did want to go feeling a wider stance and see how it felt and it was
okay I rocked forward a little bit oh well but today you'll see me I'm
building up to a new one rep maximum high bar I never prescribing 365 which
is awesome for me I just I'm so happy with the progress that I've made these
past four weeks on this program you know just doing the higher volume I'm working
a little bit more hypertrophy like my strange stolen up while focusing on
these so that's why I want to still I want to start over and kind of go
through these first four weeks again because I feel like they really helped
me and I feel like it's really gonna help me just mail my tech deep technique
down a little bit more you know get more practice with high reps I wasn't really
ready to go into that like strength and strengthen peaking phase of the program
you know what I mean so I think I'm gonna run that first like hypertrophy
cycle again I want to say just one more time and then just kind of go through
the whole program and see where I'm at but honestly like if things go really
well I might even just run in a second time so I don't know it's it's something
that a lot of people tend to do on law on this program they'll run the first
couple like four or five weeks over and over again just because it's you know
higher Bobby I'm a little bit more hyper focused that's exactly what you want you
know when you aren't like in season competing or when you're someone who's
still kind of you know building up that base and foundation like I am you know I
haven't been training for like years or years but I've barely been training for
about a year and a half so I think it's focusing on hypertrophy right now would
be the best thing that I can do so going back to the video here sorry that the
cameras kind of shit they're all over the place but I wanted to give Jefferson
spots or Jefferson deadlifts a try and I was able to do
- I believe that was 275 - the last video and honestly just my starting
position just sucks so I really need to work on that but I I was even wearing
the belt like on something like here you see me here I think I couldn't get it on
one of my sides no I was able to I was able to get both sides through your team
as you can see here my back's really flat I'm I could probably work on having
any more upward towards showing up light up my pole but it really just comes down
to my starting position so I'm gonna need to work on that here just working
on so I figured you know what kind of test my sumo and then kind of see what I
can do with the Jefferson I've been watching a lot of videos on sumo
deadlift lately just to see you know I mean practice that technique really and
I think I might have to just stick with conventional for a little while and
we'll see but here as you can see I couldn't get this side then you see my
firing position is just garbage I'm Freddy you guys have experienced
Egyptian deadlift you guys could just point out what it is I'm doing wrong I
really appreciate it I was able to get this side which is weird just like my
less dominant link but that worked out like I say I feel like the bell almost
just constricts you it doesn't really I don't know if it helps here so watch the
sumo so hip shooting up I didn't want that automatically stop here just slowly
coming off the ground and working on just kind of tracking building up
tension and then moving that yeah so I think 365 was the heaviest I was able to
get from Jefferson deadlift on just one leg here from squats kind of testing
again so 255 moves pretty good I'm gonna start doing these and get into jacket
and program so we're gonna be doing them with 265 will be my two wet max and you
kind of see how it goes so here I'm doing dips and I haven't done dips in a
really really long time and honestly like it just I felt such a great
contraction in my chest like I've never felt rationally about before which just
shows that I'm doing everything wrong so when it comes to like bench press you
know I should be feeling like chest contracting like that so that's
something else we're gonna start working with I think what I might just start
doing is this is gonna be like a tier 2 exercise in my program
on my overhead the past day but maybe on my bench days I'll start off with dips
just to kind of warm up and get the blood flowing you know chest contracting
and hopefully that will help me with my bench press
I mean even with my bench like I'm really happy with the results that I've
gotten on the program so far I mean 205 was my one rep max before the
program I was able to get it for three decks afterwards which I'm really really
happy with squat my aunt Alicia it's like a 334 to squat
with high bar but I was hoping to get 365 which is awesome but most I'd ever
scribe before even low bar was 375 and I think the depth in that squat was even a
little questionable so 365 is awesome I know that if I just
continue to work on my technique just gonna come up even more and then just
focusing a little bit more on developing leg strength I feel like that's my
biggest weakness when it comes to both my squat in my deadlift I don't know how
to properly use my legs for the leg Drive and like my lift so I'm really
just you know using my back a lot and I mean using my legs to an extent but I
feel like I could definitely learn how to use them a lot better overhead press
I didn't see a whole lot of improvement in regards like 1 rep max but in regards
to like wrapping out certain weights I saw a huge improvement so hopefully
it'll be something that will change this time around I mean definitely like I
mentioned you know probably if I headed more into that strength block which was
the next four weeks maybe I would have seen a little bit more improvement there
but I'm really happy with just the higher volume more like new muscle
growth type of training right now so I'm gonna stick to that repeat this program
for now and I think I will finish the whole program this time around it will
kind of pique me towards a meet in April I believe we might be having the meet
around there but I honestly don't know so I guess once I find out when that
meet is I might switch things around but honestly I don't really feel like
competing yet I think if anything to compete it'll be at the end of the year
cuz right now just I just want to learn you just want to practice get the
movements day and really just create the best base
that I can as possible so I know some of you guys might be disappointed that I'm
not continuing through with the program right now but I feel like this is
decision something that's gonna really benefit me and be best for me in the
long run because I have been feeling a little beat up if I call the deadlifts
because I see has applied inside my videos no my back does around a little
bit in the beginning which I know is like normal heavier weights but hey I
don't I don't want that you know I just want to really be able to focus on you
know using my legs a little bit more so my back doesn't have to take over so
much and there's definitely some improvements that could have done past
couple weeks you know definitely some rep max is wearing a little bit too hard
you know definitely wasn't an eight or 99p um where I was just kind of grinding
out so I was just getting a little fatigued towards the end but I think
that we'll be able to get everything down perfectly this time around I'm not
perfectly I'll be a lot better so I think that's essentially what I want to
do and I don't I I'm really excited to see where I'm at in this next four weeks
and they'll be a physique update for you guys in a couple weeks I don't really
know if I noticed anything like what I look at some of my self in pictures but
when I have nothing when I look at myself in the mirror I don't use
difference but we'll see what you guys think
anyways they got so much for watching starting a new program on Monday so just
tomorrow Sunday Monday getting right into it and I'm just really excited I'll
