To have that hill, but then slight flat at the bottom. It's so perfect. I cannot wait to like

buy our own land

Steven Davis: This is how Northern Ireland can beat world champions Germany

Southampton star Steven Davis says Northern Ireland can beat Germany. The Southampton midfielder was part of the side which lost to the Germans at Euro 2016 and again this time last year in the World Cup qualifying campaign.

But with a play-off place up for grabs, captain Davis has called for fans to get Windsor Park rocking to help knock the Group C leaders off the stride.

"It will be physically and mentally draining and we will obviously need a lot of things to go right for us but we have to believe we can win the game and we are going to give it a right go," said Davis.

"We know exactly what they are capable of because we have played them a couple of times recently and it is going to be another huge test for us.

If we are to take anything from it everyone will have to perform. "We'll also need the fans behind us. Hopefully the crowd at Windsor Park can make it another special night for us and an uneasy one for them.

If we could win it would be very special." Davis, will win his 98th cap, having played in famous previous victories over England and Spain at Windsor Park.

Northern Ireland have enjoyed a superb campaign claiming 19 points from eight games with the Germans winning all theirs. "When you play Germany it is like you are up against an extra man," added Davis.

"You have to be fully concentrated for the whole match. If you switch off for one second they can hurt you. "In our previous games with them we got ourselves in some good positions without getting that final pass right.

We won't have too many opportunities to attack so when we do we must make the most of them." Victory or even a draw would be enough to ensure Northern Ireland would be seeded in next month's play-offs.

Boss Michael O'Neill said: "We shouldn't fear the outcome of the match.

"The players have done great work in this group, guaranteed second spot and we are in a really strong position for the play-offs. "Hopefully we will find a way to win the game or take something from it.

We're approaching it with a sense of optimism." Germany coach Joachim Low paid tribute to O'Neill's management skills. "He's earned great merit for Northern Ireland,' said Low.

"They were the positive surprise at the Euros and even past the Euros, keeping seven clean sheets in eight games. You only do that when you know what you are doing.

"Few teams in the world can switch so efficiently between man and space marking. It's really due to his coaching qualities.".

Being ready for both is what this lab on the West Campus is all about.

Each classroom providing a snapshot of life in the not-too-distant future for these high

school sophomores.

"What's going on at West is very representative of what we're seeing in Denver Public Schools

overall."

It means improved access to the Early College model in high school, helping students earn

free college-level courses and even their associate's degree.

"Automatically, I can go on and study architecture the way that I want to.

Or like, whatever I decide to major in if that changes."

It's also about increasing concurrent enrollment opportunities.

"We get to experience new things that we haven't experienced."

Expanding internships across our city, and supporting students as they reach further.

"College is going to be like, much harder than high school.

So this is, like, already preparing me for college."

This is what college and career readiness is in DPS: in a word, opportunity.

"It just gives me a taste of how hard it's going to be, and like how to prepare myself for it."
