Celebrity New : Blake Lively makes time for family - Duration: 3:52.
Blake Lively makes time for family
The 30-year-old actress has revealed she and her husband Ryan Reynolds - with whom she has two daughters, James, two, and Ines, 12 months - dont work at the same time, and so the family are able to stay together, and never spend more than a day apart.
She said: My husband and I dont work at the same time, so we all go together as a family. If were away as a family, its never more than for a day.
We stay together. But whilst The Age of Adaline actress loves spending time with her family, she also admits travelling with two young tots can be a nightmare at times.
Blake is never far from her family even when shes working, as her youngest daughter Ines often joins her on set.
She added to People magazine: Im not in an office where I cant do that, so shes either with me or when Im shooting a scene, shes one room away.
If she really needs me, I can pop over there. It comes after The Shallows actress recently admitted she hopes Ines will become a chef when shes older, as shes already showing a keen interest in food.
Blake said: My little one, oh shes just so divine. She came out of the womb a little foodie.
Were always like, Whats your signature special, because shes always reaching for anything. Im like a parent of an Olympian except I want a chef baby..
And while Innes is concentrating on her love of food, Blake admitted James is more like a baby than her younger sister. She added: Whats crazy is my two-and-a-half-year-old, she wakes up at night and shes the baby, basically.
I think youre more relaxed as a parent [the second time], and the first one is very dominating anyways so I think the second baby just has to be easier..

Tax Relief for Families - Duration: 1:51.
When you think about the last time there was comprehensive tax reform in this country,
it was decades ago.
And the composition of our workforce looked very different.
And our homes looked very different.
The costs of raising a family have grown exponentially.
Today, in the vast majority of American homes, all parents work.
Our tax code has to recognize and support this reality, and support our dual values
of work and a family.
I want to say thank you to the president, because he was clear, crystal clear, on the
importance of making sure that the focus of tax reform was on hardworking Americans.
The most important institution in all of society is the family.
And the most important job that any of us will ever do is to raise children and be parents.
I don't care what title you have or organization you run,
the most influential and important job you will ever have
is the raising of your children.
This must be targeted to the middle-income American.
This tax reform and tax cut bill must make a difference in their lives.
I look forward to getting this across the finish line to make a big difference for so
many of those working families out there today.
One of the things that this president talks about is making sure that there is relief
for the middle class, and that's what this CTC (child tax credit) is all about.
The parent tax penalty ought to be less severe than it is now.
We need to get this done, and in the coming weeks I expect that we will.
It is a priority of this administration, and it is a legislative priority,
to ensure that American families can thrive,
and that we deliver real and meaningful
tax relief to middle-income Americans.

Episode 1117 | Off the Cuff: Halloween for Pets - Duration: 3:46.
>>I'm Gene Grant here in the studios of New Mexico PBS, with our Line opinion
panelists for the week. Now, we're getting ready to talk about some of the top news
stories, but before we start, we ask all of our panelists an off-the-cuff
question as a warm-up. Trick-or-treat time guys, of course, you know, have you, or
would you, have is my question... I'm seeing this on Facebook. I don't how many y'all
are pet owners. Does anybody here dress their pets for Halloween? Does anybody do that?
Do you have a neighbor... I love your face there, Alicia (chuckles). >>Alicia: Of course you do. >>Gene: OK. I see. Do you do this?
>>Alicia: Yes. Sometimes, you know, they're Tigers or they're fairies or whatever it is that
you want to be. But, I think one time..
>>Dan: Whatever it is you want to be! Do you ask
them before? >>Alicia: Yes, I do. >>Dan: I want to be a Fairy this year. >>Alicia: Last year she wanted to be underdog, so yeah.
>>Gene: That's a good one. And you have pictures, I'm sure?
>>Alicia: Oh yes, of course I do. And they look really cute. And, I think
they enjoy it, although I might just be projecting that (laughter). >>Gene: Beagles sort of beg for that,
I don't know certain dogs, yeah. >>Alicia: They do, you know she begs for food anyway so it's
perfect to go out trick or treating. >>Gene: Tom, what do you think? Would you ever dress a pet for Halloween?
>>Tom: You know, it's not something I would do and my daughter's really enjoyed
dressing up the Pug, you know a sweater, or some type of costume. I have a lot of friends, one has a
pitbull that they dress up, but at the end of the day, it's still a
pitbull <right> but you know, I see golden retrievers, so yeah, lots of
friends they're dressing them up. Kind of adds to the frivolity. >>Gene: It's amazing.
I've seen some amazing outfits, when you think about it. Like, there was one I
think was a smaller dog, Dede, and it had a guitar sort of strapped across it's
front and it was dressed up as a rocker with like hair coming. It looked great.
You know, at first glance you wouldn't even know it was a dog. >>Dede: That sounds great. >>Gene: have you ever done
something like that? >>Dede: Well, I have Huskies and Malamutes. I tell you they're the boss.
They are the boss of everything. So there was no way you could even put a costume on my
dog <yeah>. >>Gene: You can't exact a slip a hoodie over, and they'll just kind of,
you know, be willing to go... >>Dede: No, they're too
dignified. They're too in charge. It's only a question for the owner of management
not at all master, mastering that pet. >>Gene:It's like dressing a toddler, you know what I mean.
You get on when what you can get on when you have a kid and call it a day. What do you think
Dan, is this something appealing to you? would you or your kids maybe? No?
I'm getting a big no here, like this is the craziest idea ever. >>Dan: Oh my daughter has
done it. Yeah my daughter will do it and,
it's not a big thing for me. <really> Yeah, my dog, I've got a dog that
was a rescue dog and she likes to chase balls, dig holes. I think if you tried to
put something on her she might bite you. (laughter) >>Gene: Some dogs are sort of onto this it seems
to me. It's like you come at them with a sweater they like I don't think so dude
you know what I mean? >>Dan: My wife has a Chihuahua,
teacup chihuahua and that thing will wear anything my wife puts on it,
including getting its nails painted, sweaters. >>Gene: Does she carry it, is it a bag dog?
Does she carry it in a big bag, or... >>Dan: Well, we're not weird people,
like that. She'll take it with her sometimes but it's not, you know, you don't have a purse that
we carry with us all the time with our teacup chihuahua in it (laughter). >>Gene: Not that it's ever done in Albuquerque. No.
>>Dan: You see that in restaurants, right? somehow it's a rescue dog, service animal. Right next to the ferret. >>Gene: thank you
all that's fun. That's a fun one. Appreciate it.

Nourish bowl you have to try | Eat For Happiness | Brussels Sprouts and buckwheat bowl - Duration: 7:08.
Hey lovelies, today I'll be making a super nutricious bowl
filled with goodies, such as Brussels sprouts,
in season right now
broccoli. Always good for you.
Endive lettuce. Very popular here in the Netherlands and in season
It's going to be heartwarming. Packed with minerals, vitamins
which we all need for the upcoming months of winter and
heavy...darkness
some apple cider vinegar and olive oil for the dressing
tahini, for the protein
loads and loads of goodness. Let's have a look at the ingredients
I have about a pound of Brussels sprouts. Which I cleaned and cut in half
a head of broccoli. Which I also cleaned and cut in rosettes
A head of endive lettuce. I'm going to be using half of this one
Buckwheat, sprouts. These are broccoli sprouts
you can use alfalfa, bean sprouts or lentil sprous
some nuts. These are pecans. Wallnuts will work
I think pine nuts will be delicious as well
Garlic, loads of it
tahini, honey, olive oil
mustard, apple cider vinegar. You can use some other vinegar or lemon juice
this will easily serve four people or two really hungry people
and I might add an ingredient or two as I go along. Because that's what I like to do
just improvise
to be sure, I will list all of the ingredients down below
first I'll dress my bowl of brussels sprouts and broccoli
by adding a tablespoon or two of olive oil
and some salt
I'm going to use honey
If you are a hundred percent vegan you can use maple syrup
and some garlic
this is a matter of taste. I will use two cloves
If you're not a garlic fan, use less or none at all
some black pepper
this is one of those ingredients that I didn't mention before
I'm going to grate some ginger
just a little bit
for a little bit of warmth
give this all a good thourough mix
get all those beautiful flavors well incorporated
get your oven tray
and I'm going to spread all of my veggies
spread them really well
so they don't touch each other
this is going to roast in the oven for 20 minutes at 200 Celcius
next I will cook my buckwheat
I'm going to use the entire bag
which is 500 grams, but you will only need 250 grams
first a good rinse
now I cover it with water
I like to cook my buckwheat the same as I do my rice
which is: I cover the buckwheat by an inch of water
you can measure it like that. This is about an inch
add some salt to the water
Bring it up to a boil and when the water is boiling
bring the heat down to a minimum
and let the buckwheat absorb all of the water
while all of that is going on I'm going ahead with step nr. 3, which is the endive letuce
I rinsed all the leaves. And I'm ging to steam those
You can also stirr fry them. I'm going to keep it clean today
and here I have a traditional Chinese steaming basket
which is really convenient because I will put it on top of my buckwheat
so the leaves can steam and the buckwheat can cook all at once
I'm not going to fuss about it. Just rip them up in fairly large peaces
I;m not adding the basket straight away, because this letuce only needs 5 minutes
the last five miniutes before the buckwheat is ready
just look at the package at how long your buckwheat needs to cook
then I will add my steaming basket
I will whip up a dressing
And I will use the bowl in which I mixed my veggies
because there's still some oil and garlic in it
we are going to waste nothing
tahini going in
some mustard. About a heaping teaspoon
honey
a tablespoon or so
apple cider vinegar
some salt
quite a bit of salt, because you want your dressing to be full of flavor
now mix it up
a splash of olive oil
and a little bit of water
for the perfect concistency
and this is the perfect moment to add my steaming basket
My veggies are ready. I'll let them cool for a little while
Everything is ready, so all I need to do is grab a large bowl and combine everything
I really love these types of dishes during the gloomy months
they are comforting, super nutritious
and not that heavy on the stomach
and my kids love it as well so that's a win-win situation
I really hope you enjoyed this video
thank you for subscribing if you did
and if you would like to subscribe, I would really appreciate it
I try to upload every week, but it often doesn't really work out
because I have work, which is quite demanding, and kids, which are even more demanding
so I upload as often as I can
thank you for your patience
and bear with me. And I hope to see you in my next video
bye!
