medinat habu. is the massive mortuary temple ramasees the third left in

history as the monument to his memory professor Muhammad Saleh has offered to

guide Sanders around the site all what he had done had been recorded on the

walls of this temple in details Barama the third was a great king he ruled

Egypt for 31 years and some days we have here some scenes showing the king

bringing captives from Asia the people in the middle are asking the king and

God for mercy and the king is putting them under his feet all those faces are

fascinating because each one has different racial characters yes the

Egyptians were very good anatomists yes ramasees the third was

one of the last great warrior pharaohs of ancient Egypt his reign was a

constant chronicle of invasion and conflict with Egypt's neighbors these

conquests would have brought colossal riches to Egypt and one particular prize

seems to be recorded on the temple wall I'm here in the one of the inner

chambers of the mortuary temple of Ramses the third and the most exciting

for me most interesting part is this wall where there is a golden box

and it's being carried on golden poles

and above that golden box is a solar representation with wings and it doesn't

take too much of a stretch of the imagination to see that that golden box

was the Ark of the Covenant carried just as the Bible says on two golden poles

and above its winged cherubim exactly like the cherubim in the Bible according

to the Bible the Ark of the Covenant was crowned with two winged creatures known

as cherubim and every single pillar down this corridor every one of them has this

representation of two winged creatures exactly like the cherubim on top of the

Ark of the Covenant Sanders acknowledges that such images

are not uncommon in Egyptian antiquity but the sheer quantity of the symbols

that Medinet Habu sent a special message as one here one here one over there

further down extra ones this whole chamber seems to somehow be dedicated

and representing where Rama sees the third obtained his treasure and obtained

the ability to build probably the most magnificent temple in all of Egypt

but medinat habu was built during the final years of Rama's reign the looting

of Jerusalem had taken place much earlier so the holy stones are unlikely

to be buried here convinced that he has evidence of who took the ark and a

record of its capture Sounders now needs to identify a temple site that matches

the plunder of Jerusalem once again the ancient records are scoured for fresh

Clues written by his sons the so called Harris papyrus is a journal of ramasees

the Third's achievements his triumphs in battle and his great works at home amid

the heroic narrative one anomaly had gone almost unnoticed what stood out to

me was the fact that ramasees the third had built a temple

outside of Egypt which is not a normal occurrence for the Egyptian kings in a

place called la keep a cannon and there was another clue the papyrus reveals

that this unusual temple was built by Rama seized the third at the site where

he had received a consignment of treasure or tribute from the kingdom of

Judah for the Egyptian King to build a temple outside of his domain

purposefully just to receive the tribute it must have been a massive tribute and

according to Saunders the most likely source for this massive tribute was the

greatest treasure described in the Bible the wealth of Solomon's Temple and the

Ark of the Covenant

with a candidate for the temple identified Sanders needed to find the

modern location of the temple at Jahi Buckhannon very simply I had asked my

wife to go to The Times atlas of the world look in the index and see if there

was any valley vjh I anywhere in the index and she comes back to me

she says well there is a the hariya that looks similar djh I will that do I said

- well absolutely let's let's find out where this place is at which points

amazingly my hairs the back of my head jumped up because the area on the Atlas

was it exactly the spot where an Egyptian king would stop his armies if

he were marching from Egypt to Jerusalem the haria was a natural place for an

army to halt and regroup ahead the terrain changed

dramatically from flat desert to high hill passes and narrow valleys where an

invading force would be vulnerable garrisoned here it would also be the

logical place for them to build a temple if Sanders hunch is right the ancient

temple built by Rama seized the third and mentioned in the harris papyrus

should be located in the village of the haria in modern Israel if the temple is

there the foundation deposits of the temple would still be there and the

stones may very well be found in the temple deposits in that village

but the battles of the Holy Land do not just belong to Bible history

the haria is situated on the Middle East's most active political fault line

the West Bank this particular area has only recently

been handed over by Israel to the Palestinian Authority satisfying

biblical curiosity is not high on the Harriers priorities sanders has teamed

up with israeli guide Avner Peled to negotiate the political minefield of

present-day the area there's the center the hurryin look on the right this is

the road the Egyptians would have taken they would have walked of this road and

they come across these hills for the first time having come out of the desert

shalom pocket of krishna diarrhea jamie push bellies furnish um the daria

telegram i you don't know what's going to happen in the rear why is the

checkpoint in sutures this is the border this is the border

between us and the palestine area this bit here so the north is palestine we

still have the authorities the military sir yes we take that road you can but

you say that you don't know what if something can happen or not we're near

israeli curves i don't feel they're safe enough Mike you are my guest here and

it's quite dangerous for me as Israeli it would be better to take their bike as

well Sanders is disappointed Avner has decided that it's not safe for them to

travel on to the area because his car has his Rayleigh number place the

security situation is volatile their very presence could provoke a riot

a change of car a change of guide Sanders is back on his way to the area

but this time with an Arab companion Samia Kubb from the Palestinian Ministry

of Antiquities and archaeology the ministry have given permission for

Sanders to carry out a preliminary survey in Tahrir but they can't

guarantee his safety while he's there the children still stone cars we hope

they won't stone us but in any adventure there's some danger I am one has to face

that this is much too important a quest to worry about any dangers that might be

though

we are just in the inference of the oh yes look there's the sign

no sign today we are after all this time

I think we have to look for the center of the old town and you know what that

is yes yes because how many people live

here now about 18,000 people that's it's a bustling little town there's a good

market here for the Bedouins who are coming up on the south yes everybody

comes from the desert the first place they come to is that area so that hasn't

changed in 3,000 years in fact a lot has changed the village of history is now a

modern town development may well have smothered the foundations of a ruined

temple here

if Rama sees the third really was Shishak if his temple was here and if it

did hide the stones from the Ark of the Covenant the proof after all these years

may be buried too deep for Sanders to discover

I think that's all

we can't like the car here here

I'm speechless

as Sanders explores the area his conviction grows that waha RIA was a

logical place for the Egyptians to build a temple so the Egyptian army would come

from the south here though this temple and it overlooked the whole of the

Hebrides as far as the Uyghurs wonderful place to pretend but there's also

evidence for Sanders theory some of the building stones stand out from the

others its holes look at the how nicely squared off that is there's one over

there with holes here look at how nicely squared off that is there's one over

there with holes there's one here with holes and then there's all this other

rubbish look look at this different very nice pieces look finish the finish on

here yes it's perfectly shaped perfectly straight on the edges against look at

all the all this other stuff but they built ordinary fortresses with I mean

this is what they use to build fortresses they they spent a lot of time

and effort in cutting that stone they didn't you don't spend a lot of time and

effort cutting stones for these hovels or for for fortresses this is being

taken from a very very nice building there was a special building for you

everywhere Saunders looks he finds the random remnants of an older and more

carefully constructed building I mean this lintel for example is obviously

much older was cut a lot earlier and was broken before it was actually put into

place

nuts yeah massive rusty yeah this is relief look somebody's carved this and

this one there

the unusual decorations and well-cut blocks of stones scattered amongst the

ruins convinced sanders that a grander more impressive building once stood here

I don't think we can get see with any of the stones or Egyptian but they're

certainly older than this building when he came to the haria Sanders main worry

was that there'd be nothing left of any ancient buildings now he finds he has

the opposite problem with a plethora of ruins how will he ever find the

foundations of one ancient Egyptian temple beneath so much rubble

Jerusalem is the center for archaeological research in the Holy Land

here if anywhere Sanders will find the information that might help him narrow

his search for the temple in the turmoil of recent years more stones have been

thrown than excavated in the area around four haria but when Sanders researched

the records he found that archaeologists had once been busy there more than a

hundred and sixty years ago a Victorian explorer Edward Robinson traveled

through the area and described seeing the ruin of an ancient fortress like

Tower Sanders hadn't seen any such ruin on his visit to the town but could

Robinson have seen the remains of ramasees ancient temple the tower was

described as having one distinctive feature in its lower courses was a huge

well cut nine-foot stone at the Hebrew University Sanders enlists professor

Benjamin cutter to narrow down the search for the temple ruins well all I

can say is that the oldest photograph shows you exactly where the village was

80 years ago but what interests you of course is a view of the high part of

that village which is here the likely place of the castle the ruins of which

Robinson's oh and the survey mentions and I'd say that would should be looked

for here in this area a map a dream and the clue of a

nine-foot block of stone together tomorrow they could lead Sanders to the

stones on which the Ten Commandments were inscribed Sanders has returned to

the hariya aiming to locate the distinctive nine-foot stone which he

believes will be the clue to finding the ancient Egyptian temple of Ramses the

third finding one stone in a large town isn't easy but after asking several

locals if they know of its location at last he finds someone who does perhaps

he would know where that the nine-foot long stone is the big sir we want to

know where the biggest stone of all the villages were this alyc we see handful

mebiner haven't cut him off with academia

shark a military man pulled her

telemetry honey can you see me I want to transfer it now

he is talking that he thinks that it will be in there Hassan has a mean means

in English fortifications he says a number it's about three thousand years

ago good now where is it let's cook we want

to go and see it where is it he thinks that's over there and there's a side of

this town he may be forming signs so I can give it

this one it's quite large that's something no it's not enough speak

there's a nice large cut stone here but not 9-foot ah we're not looking for the

9-footer

you see this came for a different building look look at this please came

from a different look look here we go so here we go yes there it is

finding the nine-foot stone is an exciting discovery but for Sanders it's

real significance is that it should mark the location of the ancient Egyptian

temple built by ramasees the third

this war is is absolutely incredible in comparison to the rest of the village

everything else has been reused why because it's practical for builders to

reuse small blocks of stone when you're building a house when you're building a

fortress you build in normal sized blocks it's only when you build

something that is dedicated to a God that has some special spiritual

significance that you use something out of the ordinary and there there is a

nine foot plus block of stone nobody in their right mind would spend time taking

that block and putting it in their house or putting it in a fortress why bother

you can by the time you've it's taken you to move that block of stone you

could have built four or five courses of a fortress so it's only when you're

building something absolutely special that you would use such stones and

they're obviously in the original position nobody's ever moved them they

were built especially for this building and this is not a fortress this is this

is something special

this is it now this well maybe this was put on

later this is rubbish that's a all right this is where it was

one of the corners of the original building the place where the small

foundation tablets would be buried is accessible and the wonderful wonderful

wonderful thing about this is nobody has touched it that since it was built I see

nobody has removed that stone if this was built by an Egyptian there will be a

foundation deposit under that I never believed that we would find this wool it

was like looking for a needle in a haystack I was I mean I I tried to

appear optimistic but looking around I thought this no way are we gonna find

this this building but here it is it's clean its pristine it's easy we can do

anything we want with it we will know it's a miracle

but finding the cornerstone is only half the battle

Sanders needs official permission to deed at present he can only examine the

ruins without disturbing them

next day Sanders has an appointment with the Minister for antiquities and

archeology he's the only man who can give them the vital permission to dig

under the cornerstone

time is an approximate commodity in the Middle East it's a two-hour wait before

Sanders learns that the minister is too busy to see him come back in two days

Sanders makes use of the delay to revisit the haria with him is

geophysicist Yuri Besson and the latest subsurface radar scanning technology

this will enable them to look for a telltale cavity under the wall without

any digging this bottom corner is where I think a foundation deposit may lie

so we need your advice in your health how do we find out whether there's a

cavity below that corner we have to clean a little bit especially to take

the metal metal out of here because the signal is affected from metals it is

even good that we have this kind of slope that this ground is sloping in

this way because we want to look in an 18 angle just underneath the wall yes

okay so it is perfect let's do it okay

we are ready

Oh a marketer Cornell

are we proceed now

okay we'll finish this profile let's go to the point that I think that something

is found there sure yeah something you think this is the location you see the

turn here curvature here I see evidence too strong anomaly which can be a cavity

it's located only two point three meters from our start position which is here

just keep in mind that this results our initial and we did not do any

sophisticated signal processing but still we see major anomaly here the

anomaly could be a cavity but its location doesn't fit Sanders theory it's

a few meters away from the cornerstone where any foundation deposit should be

buried maybe there be a clearer picture when Yuri goes back to the lab to

process the data in greater detail

confident that there is at least something to dig for Sammy and Sanders

go back for their delayed meeting with the minister

we have to go to the museum so we savvy knows the way yes we could go the

minister has been called out on pressing business Sanders and Samy give chase to

the museum where they hope to catch him but by the time they arrive the Minister

has already left for his next engagement

abandoning the futile pursuit of officialdom Sanders goes to see a fury

has got any more detailed results from the radar scans like I think I have a

little surprise for you look we found a second anomaly it looked as if it is a

cavity just underneath the corner under the car under under the corner of the

corneas exactly where they used to put foundation it was um this is the anomaly

that we saw in the field and underneath which was underneath about 2.5 meters at

a depth of about 1.5 1.6 meters but after our poses the data at the office

all of a sudden this anomaly came up

unless okay and the depth of the anomaly is roughly about three meters and it

might be cavity is there any way of determining if there are any objects in

that cavity

no that's not possible because it's too deep for this frequency to receive very

detailed information having discovered a cavity in exactly the right place for a

foundation deposit but still with our permission to excavate Sanders sets

about tracing the other corners of the ancient ruin but thousands of years of

destruction and rebuilding have taken their toll the other corners of the

original building have almost certainly been lost forever as his investigations

continue Sanders finds he's not the only one curious about what lies beneath the

ruins the rumor today of course around the village is that we're looking for

gold and there are 19 thousand people in this village and if the rumor becomes

more than a rumor in their own minds we may actually have the largest excavation

team of all time that'll clear all this away for us without us doing anything

they can look for gold we're looking for just a small plaque or a broken plaque

and a couple of scarabs and maybe a cartouche and hopefully a cartouche

Aramis is the third because I believe that this temple and I believe it's

really and an Egyptian temple was built by ramasees the third

at last sanders and sammy get to see the elusive minister

how do we get out of here

nonsense stupid buggers

where did he find such a lot we can't do any procedures procedures no scanning no

procedures we had permission and he said well it started to do with with the

political establishment whatever they want who cares

there's a law there's an antiquities law we need to make an application we got to

have a scientific institution we're gonna have financial backing what we

want to do is dig three inches to find the financial foundation deposits they

want to make a big issue areas

the midea the director

you know that he is my he is my boss and I can't do nothing I have to accept his

orders to just to continue filming and not for digging I am NOT angry with that

we can't clear the rubbish but we can make lots of applications we can write

lots of forms we can work with beers at University

and

there's nothing we can do today

like so many other archaeologists working in this politically difficult

area Sanders has been frustrated just as he is on the brink of a breakthrough he

has found the remains of a massive and ancient structure one whose quality is

quite distinct from others around it and there's a tantalizing cavity under one

of the corners which points to the wall having been built by ancient Egyptians

if the cavities do contain any Egyptian foundation deposits he will have proof

of a new previously unknown Egyptian temple built outside Egypt a major

advance in the scholarship of the region

I'm absolutely convinced that if the two cavities are open we will find evidence

that Rama sees the third built that temple whether the Bible's Ten

Commandments lie buried here no one can say but the trail of clues unearthed by

Saunders has brought him so far and revealed so much that he feels convinced

that he's on the right track I can't give up with too close to what

could be the most important discovery of our generation Mike Sanders is still

trying to persuade the Palestinian authorities to give him permission to

excavate under the cornerstone whatever is in that underground cavity is too

intriguing a mystery to remain a secret forever

West Hartford Area Homes - What is a Non-MLS Listing? - Duration: 2:08.

Hi, I'm Jessica Beganski from William Raveis Real Estate in West Hartford and Farmington Valley.

It's a Sunday afternoon and I just left my daughters field hockey game to show a non-MLS

listing to one of my buyers.

My buyer asked me when I booked the showing, what is a non-MLS listing?

And it occured to me that I should do a video to explain it and I had a few minutes.

So here goes.

First, I'll explain the multiple listing service briefly- it's basically a database where listing

agents enter a property and its details, photos, a listing price

and the offer of commission to all buyers agents.

90% or more of real estate sales occur within or because of the MLS.

A non-MLS listing is when a seller signs a listing agreement with a real estate broker

but requests or agrees to keep the listing out of the MLS for a period of time.

If the MLS is the place to sell a home,

why would a seller want to keep their property out of it?

In my experience it's because the seller although they want to sell, they're not ready to- possibly

the house isn't ready, they haven't found a home to buy yet or they have some life event

they need to work around.

A non-MLS listing gives the seller time to get the house ready while giving their agent

time to do some marketing - to their database of buyers, to agents in their office or network

or do some online marketing.

Most of the time, the house does go on the market but in times of low inventory, such as now,

the seller may not ever have to go into the MLS because proactive buyers agents are looking

for Non-MLS listings regularly.

Thanks for watching.
