your English speaking. Ok let's get started! In this episode I'd like to talk

about how speaking a different language can change your personality. Yes, you

heard me well! Studies show that depending on the language you speak your

personality can be affected. Researchers have found that speaking two or more

languages could give you a split personality.

they say that numerous speakers have completely unique identities in each of

the languages they speak apparently the way you speak impacts the way you think

and it influences everything from how you make decisions to how you perceive

color. As you may know I can speak several languages besides English when I

talk in German for example I notice that the way I interact with people the way I

organize my ideas and my thoughts my emotions all of these become profoundly

influenced by the language I'm speaking. Whenever I speak in German I become more rational.

On the other hand if I have a conversation in Spanish I can observe

myself behaving differently. It's like being a different person. In this case I feel

more relaxed easy-going. To acquire new self you need to immerse yourself into

the culture. You can achieve that by taking a trip abroad watching movies,

interact with a native speaker, or listening to the Speak English Now

podcast. Of course! Another key factor is how well you know the language of course.

It's not the same if your levels low the more you dominate the language the more

it influences your personality this is essential to understand some students

really like adopting a slightly different personality when they're

progressing on their English you can think that as imitating a native it's

not just trying to pronounce like a native but more like really believing

you're a native speaker this way it greatly helps your ability to progress

and improve my advice is that when you're learning English try to adopt

that specific personality of the language this way it'll get easier and

easier and finally you speak English fluently and confidently when you learn

a new language you're not simply memorizing vocabulary

and grammar rules you also have the opportunity to adapt new elements of

your identity now let's move on to the next section let's practice your

speaking here I'll use the question and answer technique this is the perfect

lesson for ultimate izing your spoken English this is how it works I'll give

you some information a phrase or two I'll ask simple questions

after each question there will be some seconds of silence it's your turn to

answer the question just try to give an easy and short answer not a complex one

after you answer I'll give you a correct answer this process will continue and

little by little I'll be telling a story using questions and answers ok let's get

started

Lee is a Chinese guy who lives in Shanghai and studies Italian does Lee

since he was a little kid what did Lee always want to learn Italian he always

Lee's dream was to learn Italian ever since he was a little kid. Lee wanted to

learn Italian did he always want to learn French no not French he always

wanted to learn Italian sadly every time he tries to speak Italian

like he speaks Chinese he fails miserably

Does he try to speak Italian like he speaks Chinese? Yes Lee tries to

speak Italian just like he speaks Chinese. Does he

succeed speaking Italian just like he speaks Chinese?

No. He fails he can't speak Italian like he speaks Chinese he fails

he wants to live in Italy does Lee want to visit Italy no he doesn't want to

Spanish no he's not going to Milan to improve his Spanish. He wants to set up

an Italian restaurant wisely moving to Milan does he have an Italian friend

No. Lee doesn't have an Italian friend Lee's moving to Milan to set up his own

Italian restaurant called Lee pizza

Eat 2 Bananas Per Day For A Month And This Is What Happens To Your Body

Bananas are perhaps one of nature's most under-rated fruits.

The yellow skinned fruits are easy to overlook, especially when it seems as if there's always

some new and exotic type of fruit that's being touted as the next big thing.

However, the fact remains that bananas are a tasty super food that can give our bodies

all the good stuff it needs to thrive.

They're packed full of nutrients, vitamins, fiber, and all-natural sugars, like sucrose

and fructose.

That's part of the reason why eating bananas regularly can help to keep the doctor away.

In the United States bananas are the top most consumed fruit and Americans eat more of them

every year than apples and oranges combined.

Many of us bring home a bunch of bananas from the store and eat them throughout the week.

They start off mostly greenish-yellow and spotless, but as time goes by, the bananas

continuously ripen.

Eventually they begin to develop brown spots, which grow bigger and bigger until the entire

banana is covered in brown.

Many people are turned off by brown bananas and think it means they're rotten so they

toss them out.

It makes sense, most fruits that turn brown are indeed rotten and unappetizing.

However, the more dark patches a banana appears to have, the more ripe it is, and the more

TNF it contains.

TNF stands for Tumor Necrosis Factor, and it's a cancer fighting substance that helps

fight against abnormal cells in our bodies.

Specifically, TNF helps to assist communication between cells in our immune response system

and it guides the movement of cells towards areas in our bodies which are inflamed or

infected.

Research has confirmed that the TNF found in ripe bananas interferes with tumor cells

growth and inhibits them from spreading by causing cell death, or apoptosis.

This, in conjunction with the high levels of antioxidants which are also found in bananas,

boosts our immune systems and can increase our white blood cells as well.

The next time you see a banana with brown spots, don't pass it over.

Instead, eat it up and give your body a mini-health boost and some extra energy.

In addition to the brown spots and their immune system strengthening qualities, bananas have

a number of other health benefits.

Below are a few of the main ones that bananas can give you, and the accompanying video covers

Heartburn

Bananas are nature's anti-acid and can provide relief from heartburn and acid reflux.

Eating just one banana can immediately bring soothing relief and lessen your heartburn

having to worry about whether or not they'll cause pain.

That's because their smooth, soft, mushy texture coats the stomach lining and protects

it against corrosive acids and irritation.

Depression

They can help overcome depression because they have high levels of tryptophan, which

our bodies convert into serotonin.

Serotonin is a brain neurotransmitter that makes people relax, feel happy, and improves

mood.

Thus, bananas can help people feel better and beat depression.

Constipation

If you are clogged up, eat a few bananas.

They have enough fiber in them to stimulate regular bowel movements and provide natural

relief for constipation.

Nerves or PMS

When you're feeling moody and stressed, eat a banana.

They help to regulate blood sugar and are rich in B vitamins, which naturally calm the

nervous system and make people relax, resulting in an overall improved mood.

Temperature Control

Eating a banana on a hot day can cool you off by lowering your body temperature.

The same is true for it you have a fever.

IS HALO 3 BACK?! OR IS THE DREAM DEAD?! - Halo 3 Backwards Compatible & 10th Anniversary Thoughts - Duration: 10:24.

I got to spend my Sunday sitting on my couch playing Halo 3 multiplayer.

Xbox 360, wired controller, HD CRT, awesome 5.1 surround sound.

For some of the gameplay, my fiancee was relaxing next to me.

For the rest, she was playing Dragon Age Inquisition at her PC across the room.

This is quite different from my normal Sundays - usually spent rushing to get things done

or make last-minute content.

This felt more like high school, where I would spend all day on Halo 3 and didn't have

a care in the world about it.

I don't normally let myself do this, but I spent the day before at a college football

game with my dad and got sunburned to hell and back so moving isn't exactly fun.

But it's not the same.

It's not 2008, 2009, or 2010 anymore.

Halo 3 doesn't hold up.

It may have been my favorite game - probably of all time - but the netcode and the 30FPS

cap just don't work today.

I could make due with the lower frame rate, floaty and slow movement, and projectile bullet

spread - that was how the game played originally - if it wasn't for the net code.

It's baaaad now.

Don't get me wrong - while people didn't complain about it quite as much back in the

day unless someone was running a lag switch, those of us who spent a lot of time in Team

SWAT or Snipers knew the net code for Halo 3 was just plain bad.

But adding in a new generation of consoles and shutting down half the servers on the

back-end has not done it any favors.

Halo 3 was one of my favorite games, especially for multiplayer.

Call of Duty 4 was right up there, as well.

But I still play CoD4 to this day - or at least until the remaster came out and then

played MWR off and on to this day - because it held up.

The netcode wasn't as bad, the sprint mechanic allowed it to feel modern, but grounded, as

the series evolved, and the availability on different platforms meant my move to PC didn't

mean I had to stop playing the game - heck, CoD4 was much better and more populated on

PC!

But Halo 3 hasn't been playable for a long time.

Low population and deteriorating networking actually lead me to give up on it after a

last hurrah in the summer of 2013.

That wasn't supposed to be the end of my time with the game, though.

The Master Chief Collection for the new Xbox One was on the horizon and was supposed to

be the definitive collection of Halo games so we could keep playing them, but with updated

graphics and new networking.

I bought my Xbox One specifically for this purpose, and by time I did - at Halo 5's

launch, MCC had already fallen into a broken nightmare with little population itself.

Fast forward a couple years, and sure - I was slightly hopeful that Halo 3 backwards

compatibility would bring new population and give me my game back.

But I knew what to expect.

I stayed vocal for a long time about the need to fix MCC and focus on that if 343 Industries

ever expected to have our respect as a developer and face of Halo.

I knew what to expect, but I was still disappointed.

Don't get me wrong - I've had fun with Halo 3, and it was nice to just hang out and

game all day on it, something I haven't done in a long time.

But I wouldn't call it the most playable game in the world at this point.

I certainly am not going to join in the hype train expressing gratitude to 343 for this,

especially since this is the opposite of what they should've done.

And to be honest, I bet it was Microsoft that pushed and even handled the backwards compatibility

updates, as they need to be able to say you can play all the Halo games on one console

- and they no longer could with MCC the way it is.

To see the same developers and community leads hyping up and expressing excitement for the

re-launch of Bungie's Halo 3 while they just never bothered to fix theirs is just…

kind of disgusting.

Not only that, but I don't really find the Xbox One version all that playable.

Connections felt worse, input lag felt worse, and I had performance issues compared to original

hardware, and their way of upscaling the already-upscaled original 720p output just looks blurry.

Plus - I simply can't stand the analog sticks on the Xbox One.

The X and Y acceleration is different and has never felt right since day one with the

console.

So I booted it up on original hardware.

Popped in my cracking Halo 3 Mythic disc and set it up on my HD CRT with some glorious

surround sound.

This isn't super accurate to my original experiences, much of my time was spent on

a big rear-projection TV or normal CRTs, but it was closer than my 21" console gaming

monitor.

And I never really played Halo 3 much with real surround sound - it's freaking great.

So good, that I set up the 3Dio FreeSpace binaural mic that I have on loan for review

for the tech channel to capture some of how it sounds, just to experiment.

It feels a little better on original hardware for sure - but the networking is still trash.

Population seemed decent - about 2300 or so online when I first jumped on in the morning

or early afternoon, but dropped to 1300 by time I got off in the evening.

Most playlists had 0 population, so I mainly had to stick to Social Slayer, which was fine.

I'd say… one out of every five or so matches was truly playable?

Lag, red bars, rubberbanding, disappearing people, half or whole teams quitting out at

random points in almost every game, etc.

And with how Halo 3 works, the more people that drop out, the more likely for a host

migration and for the connection to actually get worse.

Like I said, Halo 3's netcode was always bad, but it wasn't this bad.

So I got a few good matches, but most of the time I was just getting destroyed while on

a team of 2 or 3 versus 5, and there were plenty of times where I swapped weapons like

3 or 4 times because the delay of my actions was so significant.

The good matches I had, were fun.

Had a few matches where I seriously carried, a couple really close and rewarding matches

where I didn't mind if I did lose, and some generally fun experiences - even if the usual

betrayers showed up to steal your sniper.

I was pleasantly surprised that they appear to have unlocked the old "Bungie Pro"

extended File Share capacity for everyone, which makes it easier for me to save clips

on the 360 in my main gaming area and then record them from my Xbox One over at my workstation

- except NOPE.

It literally won't download anything from my File Share.

Just keeps failing and bugging out and being unable to access it.

Oh well, was worth a shot.

But I can use it while leaving my last-uploaded clips from 2010, 2012, and 2013 where they

belong.

They also left up the last "Bungie Favorites" release from 2008 and 2009.

Maybe it'd be fun to explore those for a quick follow-up video.

That was a fun community-initiative that made Bungie feel like they were involved.

I miss that and the original File Forums so dearly.

Halo 3 is a fun game and it was nice to get to play it again, but I can't confidently

say I'd keep playing it regularly.

It's just too frustrating to have so many wasted matches to consider it a good use of

my time.

That's why I pushed for MCC to be fixed instead, and why I don't believe this is

a good measurement if fans still want more classic mechanics and gameplay.

While yes, this version is more accessible technically now - if those who sold their

360s still even have their disc copies of the game in the first place since they DIDN'T

make it free to play - it's not anymore playable than it was in 2013, and you can't

expect people to just stick around for that.

Many things have changed since high school.

Mostly for the better.

But I do miss the times and fun I had wasting away every school evening in this game, yelling

into the mic at friends and disturbing my parents.

Hopefully I can find such a game experience again, but thus far nothing has stayed with

me for anywhere near as long.

To wrap this up - no, I'm not "grateful" to 343 or Microsoft for wasting my money and

pretending to cover up their massive screwups.

I am beyond pleased to see players in Halo 3 again and I can only hope it stays that

way until we get some sort of custom servers for Halo 2 Vista or Halo Online gets a full,

US-supporting release.

But I won't be surprised if it doesn't last.

I hear Firefight for ODST is going again, too.

That was, by far, my favorite rendition of Firefight, with Reach's version being a

close second.

I'll give that a shot next.

I'm proud of how far I've come since 2008, I just hope that this part of my life isn't

something that remains only in the past.
