- Good morning everyone.

- [Congregation] Good morning, Father.

- My brothers and sisters today's gospel challenges us

truly to do the Father's will

by living the way of righteousness.

As we prepare to celebrate this liturgy,

let us beg God's mercy for the times

where we have failed to live according to God's will.

Lord Jesus, You are ever obedient to Your Father's will,

Lord have mercy.

- [Congregation] Lord have mercy.

- Christ Jesus, you lead us in the way of righteousness.

Christ have mercy.

- [Congregation] Christ have mercy.

- May almighty God have mercy on us,

forgive us our sins and bring us to everlasting life.

- [Congregation] Amen.

- Let us pray.

Glory to God in the highest,

and on earth, peace to people of goodwill.

We praise You, we bless You, we adore You,

we glorify You, we give You thanks for Your great glory.

Lord God, heavenly King, oh God, Almighty Father,

Lord Jesus Christ, only begotten Son,

Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father,

You take away the sins of the world.

Have mercy on us.

You take away the sins of the world.

Receive our prayer.

You are seated at the right hand of the Father.

Have mercy on us.

For You alone are the Holy One.

You alone are the Lord.

You alone are the most high, Jesus Christ.

With the Holy spirit, in the glory of God the Father.

Amen.

Oh God, You manifest your Almighty power above all

by pardoning and showing mercy.

Bestow, we pray Your grace abundantly upon us.

And make those hastening to attain Your promises

heirs to the treasure of heaven.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ Your Son,

who lives and reigns with You in the unity

of the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.

- [Congregation] Amen.

- Thank you.

- I'm reading from the book of the prophet Ezekiel.

Thus says the Lord:

You say the Lord's way is not fair.

Hear now, house of Israel, is it My way that is unfair

or rather, are not your ways unfair?

When someone virtuous turns away from virtue

to commit iniquity and dies, it is because of the iniquity

he committed that he must die.

But if he turns from the wickedness he has committed

and does what is right and just,

he shall preserve his life.

Since he has turned away from all the sins

that he has committed, he shall surely live.

He shall not die.

- The Lord be with you.

- [Congregation] And with your spirit.

- The reading from the Holy Gospel according to Matthew.

- [Congregation] Glory to You oh Lord.

- Jesus said to the chief priests

and the elders of the people, what is your opinion?

A man had two sons.

He came to the first and said,

Son, go out and work in the vineyard today.

He said in reply, I will not.

But afterwards, changed his mind and went.

The man came up to the other son and gave the same order.

He said in reply, yes sir, but did not go.

Which of the two did his father's will?

They answered, the first.

Jesus said to them, amen, I say to you,

tax collectors and prostitutes

are entering the kingdom of God before you.

When John came to you in the way of righteousness,

you did not believe him,

but tax collectors and prostitutes did.

Yet even when you saw that,

you did not later change your minds and believe him.

The gospel of the Lord.

- [Congregation] Praise be the Lord, Jesus Christ.

- Jesus tells us a very simple story

of two imperfect sons to illustrate

the way to God's kingdom.

God amply provided, or the father in this case,

amply provided for his sons with everything they needed.

Everything the father had belonged to them.

The father also rewarded them with work in his own vineyard.

The father expected them to show him respect,

honor and loyalty by doing their fair share of the work.

The rebellious son told his father

he would not work for him,

but afterwards he changed his mind

and did what his father asked of him.

The good son said he would work for his father

but did not follow though.

This son sowed his own pleasure,

contrary to his father's will.

Who was the good son?

Both disobeyed their father,

one repented and then did what the father told him.

And Jesus makes his point clear.

Good intentions are not enough.

Good intentions are not enough.

And promises don't count

unless they're followed through on, or are performed.

You see, we all have responsibilities

and accountability in life.

God guides each of us in this earthly journey,

placing us in a family, in a community of believers.

We all have certain given talents

or we would say God-given talents.

And we should use those for the good of our neighbor.

And God also uses those gifts bestowed upon us

to call us to particular vocations.

Vocations in life, but in a church particularly.

Priesthood, religious life, married life,

single life, consecrated life.

The normal responsibilities

that go with these vocations in life,

these are the basic realities of God's will for us.

And the more we embrace God's will,

and exercise those rights or those given talents,

however we wanna look at them, those gifts,

and when we share those with others,

the more we're following the path of God.

And along that path at times,

we probably have questioned or not followed through

on certain things, like the second son.

He didn't want to do any of it.

But the first son did what?

He said no at first.

I don't think that's for me.

We call that discernment.

We call that prayer, bringing it to prayer.

Trying to understand where God is leading us.

And then when we bring it to prayer

and we feel and we know or we hear how God wants us,

or which direction to go in, we follow,

and we exercise that.

But it's not good enough just to follow.

It would serve no purpose for me to be a priest,

but not be a priest.

I could be ordained as a priest,

but if I don't serve sacramentally in the church

and do nothing with it,

well it's not really priesthood, is it?

If we're married, we could go through the stages

and the exercises of marriage for the sacrament,

for the marriage, but if we're not understanding

what God is working in that union

and that give and take between husband and wives,

and understanding that it is a life long journey

as a union, and we're not living that vocational call,

well then where does that marriage go?

We should be all leading towards God,

to the eternal kingdom.

Same thing in consecrated life.

If God's called us to a consecrated life,

it's a surrender, after prayer and discernment.

But it's a surrender because at first,

maybe we didn't know what God wanted in our lives,

but we were able to say yes to it.

And we have lots of examples of this in the church.

Our Saints, each other, in our journeys,

in our communities, how we care for one another,

how we bring Jesus Christ to one another.

Those who are home-bound for this T.V. mass,

that just because we're home-bound

doesn't mean you're not being prayered for

and thought of and cared for.

See, we all participate into that.

And that's listening to God,

maybe not totally in our own will,

but surrendering it over to God's will

and allowing God to carry us.

See, there's grace and blessing and strength in that.

God offers each one of us peace and joy.

But we can lose that.

We can lose that with God

and we can lose that with one another,

if we refuse to do or be responsible and accountable

for how our gifts and talents

and how God is asking us to use them.

Remember, we are to love as God loves.

Jesus won that love and salvation and redemption for all.

Think about what's going on in society.

So much killing, the social unrest in the world today.

We should be praying for peace.

We should be examples of peace for one another

and throughout into all those we encounter.

We should seek God's guidance and strength

when we feel anxious and not know

where this is all leading.

We should trust more and surrender more to God.

We do that in prayer.

So today, let's pray as Jesus prayed.

Remember, Jesus taught us the prayer.

Thy kingdom come, thy will be done.

God's will be done in this earthly kingdom

as it is in the heavenly kingdom.

It's up to you and I to follow the example

of the second son, or the first son, sorry.

The first son, and even if we don't understand it,

to surrender it over to God

and allow God to carry us to the next stage.

'Cause that's when we're doing the will of God.

The apostles creed.

I believe in God the Father Almighty,

creator of heaven and earth,

F-16 blk70 frontrunner against Gripen E | F-35 for IAF | More mark-1A order? - Duration: 4:30.

With issuing new RFI by taking back old one emphasis on government to government process

and shortening the timeline from 3 years to just 1 year overall.

By the second half to end of next year 2018, code of conduct for elections will be in place

and thus goverment of India wishes to close the deal before that timeline.

During Mattis visit, he stressed that owing to commonality of 70% between F16 Block7F

and F35 will lead to easier transition to F35 at a later stage.

Also plan is for just first 90 F16(90 birds or 4.5 squadrons to begin with which can go

to a max of 7.5 squadrons or 150 birds) and option is given to India to upgrade the line

and next produce F35 but under limited technology transfer using Israeli modifications.

Government favours the G2G deal for this particular case with line being setup for 36 F16 per

year to begin with and later changing to 16 F35 and 16 F16.

So F16 Block 7F comes with full localisation and transfer of F13X engine and upgrade to

India under Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL).

Mattis also emphasized that PAF operated F16s is entirely different and generation behind

the Block 7F.

In terms of capability, the present 7F is more than twice then what Block 52 so PAF

F16 are further beyond the curve.

Technically both proposals almost give the same in terms of so called proprietary technology

access(other than partial code limitation in specific Gripen parts).

USA government has finally given support to Gripen but expressed strong reservation against

continuing USA support for long time and said if a threat comes to US MIC and figher ecosystem,

preferential treatment will be given to American companies only.

Gripen E/F has sweetened the deal with almost 53% tech transfer agreement but as of today

Gripen E is in 2nd position.

New documents submitted by Saab shows Gripen E/F has drawbacks with engine power to weight

in straight line.

The second problem is Gripen E fully eating out the program of LCA.

Contrary to the belief that Gripen E will might be renamed as LCA Mk2 or position itself

as Mk2, its threat is actually directly to MK1A.

As Ministry of defence pointed that post MK1A one squadron handover, a fresh order of 3-4

more squadrons (60-80 aircrafts) will be placed as well.

There also a report submitted from HAL as well which has opposed Gripen E in similar

language and has expressed great concern for LCA Mk1/Mk1A program curtailment scope.

LCA AF Mk2 will share interiors, upgrades and almost many subs systems with the single

engine MMRCA winner.

This is a big let down for Saab and Gripen E as internal studies have revealed that integration

of Safransied Kaveri comes at a much higher cost, and re certification much beyond just

engine and flight performance and goes deeper into the airframe and entire EW+ systems.

While F-16 & Rafale don't need such modifications.

There are Information warfare and hacking issues in USA planes which have been bought

by some of the countries who sabotaged and changed tech source codes to modify and better

certain specs.

India has a powerful software community so that might be uncovered and reversed any threat

and potential damage but USA wants a "user agreement" to be agreed on before any Make

in India absolving of any such damage caused which is why Gripen E is not already off the

table.

Next 2 weeks will see whirlwind activity with focus on building the consensus for G2G terms

for LM order and F16s procurement.

If the consensus works out as per MOD plan, then by October end some forward announcement

is expected.
