Tips for MD-500 (4): Using an external effect unit with the MD-500 to shape your sound - Duration: 2:35.

Using an external effect unit with the MD-500 to shape your sound

Introduction

Although the MD-500 lets you create many different types of effect,

an even wider range of effects becomes possible when you combine it with another effect unit.

For example, let's say you're combining it with a distortion unit.

Connecting from the distortion to the phaser

produces an impression that's very different than connecting from the phaser to the distortion.

For each patch, the MD-500 lets you specify the order in which the other effect unit is connected.

Turning on the insert loop function

Press the [EDIT] button, choose "SYSTEM," and then press the [EDIT] button.

Turn INSERT LOOP "ON."

Connecting an external effect unit

Connect from your guitar to the MD-500's INPUT A jack,

and connect from the MD-500's OUTPUT B jack to your amp.

Connect from the MD-500's OUTPUT A jack

to the external effect unit's INPUT jack,

and connect from the external effect unit's OUTPUT jack

to the MD-500's INPUT B jack.

Making insert loop settings

Press [EDIT] and choose INSERT SW.

If INSERT SW is "OFF," the effect of the external effect unit is not applied;

if it is set to "PRE" the external effect unit is connected before the MD-500;

if it is set to "POST" the external effect unit is connected after the MD-500.

This setting can be saved individually for each patch.

Tips for MD-500 (3): Using two effects simultaneously ~ A/B SIMUL - Duration: 2:56.

Using two effects simultaneously ~ A/B SIMUL

Introduction

Normally, the MD-500 lets you apply one effect,

but you can make settings so that two effects are applied simultaneously.

For example, tremolo

and franger

can be combined to create an even more complex effect.

Changing the foot switch mode

Press the [EDIT] button, choose "SYSTEM," and press the [EDIT] button.

Set FSW MODE to "A/B SIMUL."

The screen changes, allowing you to apply two effects simultaneously.

Editing the effect settings

You can edit the settings of the patch indicated by the cursor.

You can use [DOWN]/[UP] to move the cursor.

You can also press [EDIT] and make detailed settings.

The screen indicates whether you are editing patch A or patch B.

Advanced techniques

You can switch the way in which the two effects are connected,

or synchronize the rate.

Press [EDIT] to select BANK.

The BANK menu

is shown only if FSW MODE is set to A/B SIMUL.

If CONNECTION is set to "SERIES,"

the effects are connected in series from patch A to patch B.

If CONNECTION is set to "PARALLEL,"

the patch A and patch B effects are connected in parallel.

If SYNC is "ON," the rate of patch B synchronizes to patch A.

By specifying NOTE,

By specifying NOTE, you can make settings such as specifying the patch B rate to be double the patch A rate.

Tips for RV-500 (2): How reverb and delay are connected - Duration: 1:22.

How reverb and delay are connected

Introduction

Broadly speaking, the RV-500 contains reverb and delay.

Reverb and delay can be connected in series

or in parallel.

Connecting delay and reverb in series

When using compact effect units,

delay and reverb are typically connected in series.

After delay is applied, reverb is then applied.

This connection method is the easiest to use.

For both delay and reverb, raising the effect level excessively

tends to produce a muddy sound.

Pay attention to avoiding this.

Connecting delay and reverb in parallel

You can also connect delay and reverb in parallel.

The delay and reverb effects are applied separately.

Even if both effects are applied deeply, a clean-sounding impression is produced.

If the reverb time and delay feedback are not adjusted skillfully,

If the reverb time and delay feedback are not adjusted skillfully, only one of the effects might remain.

only one of the effects might remain.

Pay attention to avoiding this.

Considerations for Multiple Hair Transplants, from Donor Hair to Scalp Rehabilitation - Duration: 9:23.

Thank you for your question.

You submitted your question without a photo but you describe a situation in your question

where you went under 4400 grafts hair transplant but you describe is a failure because it was

a 15-20% yield and that there was a significant possibility that there was underlying scalp

fibrosis and calcification. And you want to know how you figure out that's the case

and you were about to undergo a third hair transplant. And you're asking maybe about

using magnesium oil prior to this hair transplant.

Well, I can share with you my perspectives on your situation and a little bit about my

experience in comparable situations in our practice. A little bit of background, I'm

a Board-certified cosmetic surgeon and Fellowship-trained oculofacial plastic and reconstructive surgeon.

I have been in practice in Manhattan and Long Island for over 20 years. Hair transplant

has been a big part of my practice for many years. I'm also the founder of TrichoStem™

Hair Regeneration Centers, a system we developed that non-surgically helps men and women with

genetic pattern loss. And we use regenerative medicine and technology that may be applicable

to a situation like you're currently in.

So to begin with, this unfortunately occurs more commonly in terms of the low yield of

transplanted hairs than is often presented in the transplant industry. We have had patients

who have had mega sessions and had more than 90% of their grafts not growing and these

patients were not done in our practice but they came to us. And it was practically like

they had no hair at all. So it's an entirely a possible situation.

You know, what I describe to our patients who have undergone transplant elsewhere or

have come to me for additional opinion about transplant versus Hair Regeneration which

I'll describe later, I explain to them first that understand that the process of transplantation

intrinsically is fairly traumatic. When people say I've had 1500 grafts, 3000 grafts or

in your case, 4400 grafts, well you've had 4400 stabs made into the scalp. And intrinsically,

there's going to be a vascular compromise, there's going to be inflammation and all

of those variables can play a role. Now the fact that you had a previous transplant is

significant. There is scarring that occurs with every transplant and it can have a certain

compromise in the integrity of the tissue.

Now many patients have come to us from around the world for this treatment we call Hair

Regeneration. Now Hair Regeneration was a discovery that we made based on the use of

a wound healing material when we were doing a lot of hair transplants. Basically what

we found was that thinning hairs became thicker. We were using a wound healing material to

improve the outcomes in terms of graft survival as well as the healing of the donor area.

Well, once we started using it for pattern genetic loss without surgical transplant,

it actually created now a new category to help people with thinning hair who would have

previously gone for a hair transplant.

Now as a cosmetic surgeon, I have been using this material for rehabilitation of tissue.

So for example, patients have come to me who have had multiple eyelid surgeries and they've

developed scarring and retraction and other issues. Well before doing another surgery,

I'll actually do what I refer to as tissue rehabilitation. And what I'll do is I'll

use PRP, platelet-rich plasma which is derived from your own blood which is a concentration

of the wound healing and growth factors that is necessary when you have a cut as well as

Acellular matrix. And essentially, what I believe is going on is I can see it from the

external perspective, the tissue gets healthier. It improves vascularity, improves the quality

of the tissue. And so, one of the things that I would consider in your situation would be

first tissue rehab before doing another transplant.

Another relevant example is patients who have had transplant elsewhere have come to us in

a window within the first 3 months of having surgery. And in those patients, we've actually

helped expedite their healing and we observed that the grafts actually grow sooner.

Now it is a difficult thing when you manage patients who have had transplants elsewhere.

And sometimes, I am a little bit more cautious because if they have had second or third transplant,

we want to be strategic. Sometimes I'll tell the patient, "Let's see how well

these grafts heal and then maybe after a year, when the grafts are healed, we can maybe help

you with the management of the scalp in terms of the existing hair to try to preserve and

prolong the lifespan as well as the tissue quality to help with the grafts once they've

settled in."

So there's certainly no specific right answer to your question. I think the magnesium oil

will have a limited value because just the anti-inflammatory potential benefit is not

enough to create healthier tissue. Remember, it's a hair graft. You're moving skin

bearing hair to skin and you need blood supply. You need the tissue to heal. After multiple

surgeries, the fatty cell layer under the skin, the scar tissue and other things can

actually be compromised to a level which can affect impact on the hair graft yield.

In addition of course, we also want patients to have their blood pressure checked as well

as be off of anti-inflammatories which can be blood thinners but I think that probably

already is covered. I think that it's important for you to learn about PRP, Hair Regeneration,

this emerging stem cell based technology to help with tissue rehabilitation to maybe help

improve graft yield for further surgeries. I think that this is something to discuss

with your hair transplant doctor. Remember, your donor area and probably, you might be

even going beyond the donor area and going to body hair at this point is always going

to be limited and every hair that doesn't take is a hair that's lost. So make your

decision very carefully.

So I hope that was helpful, I wish you the best of luck and thank you for your question.

How To Make Oats Chilla - Oats Chilla With Zucchini | Healthy Recipe For Kids - Duration: 4:39.

Hello and welcome to Kissan tiffin timetable. I'm Amrita Raichand and to solve your tiffin woes,

your favorite chefs including me, are bringing you 200 tiffin recipes for 200 school days.

So today we are going to make oats and Zucchini Chilla

Now regular Besan Chilla toh children love. So this is a good international twist to that Chilla

But what are we doing? We are adding some healthy ingredients to that Chilla

and making sure children have it in a very exciting form.

So come let's begin and let's show you how to make " Har Din Naya Tiffin Har Din Empty Tiffin "

All right, so let's begin.

It's a very easy to make recipe.

First we'll take a bowl and add oats flour in it. Why do we do this ? Because kids don't like oats.

So it's better that you use oat flour. They don't figure out what have you used.

Again a vegetable that children don't particularly like,

but it is so healthy, so full of vitamins, so full of minerals that we cannot exclude it from their diet.

Right? and that is zucchini

So I've added some yellow and green zucchini

Now I'm going to add 1/4 cup of yogurt, some chopped coriander

and now I'm going to add some seasoning.

So salt to taste, some cumin powder

and 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda

Now, I'm gonna mix this first and then I'm going to add an ingredient,

that is gonna make it really yummy, really tangy and it's gonna give it a beautiful colour as well.

Yes, I'm going to add some tomato ketchup, which is got a beautiful color

and looks really as red as fresh tomatoes and then with the help of a whisk,

I'm gonna mix it up and add some water to it to adjust the consistency.

The mixing is done. We'll switch on the gas.

and now I'm going to add my chilla batter.

Now I'm gonna add some oil on the sides, so that it's easy to flip the chilla

When it's done. Lovely ! So nice and healthy and nutritious.

This is going to be just a perfect snack for a child's Tiffin.

Lovely! Look at the colour beautiful golden colour, just gonna cook it on the other side

and it's gonna be ready to go.

Okay. Lovely !

All right now we're gonna allow it to cool for a little while, then cut them and serve it in our Tiffin.

So I'm gonna get the tiffin first.

Alright. Now we'll add some cut papayas and some pistachios.

Like I always say, you're very lucky if your child loves nuts.

Now you're gonna take our chilla on the chopping board

and cut them into two

So here you go with your oats and zucchini Chilla's.

Kim Kardashian is 'couldn't be more happy for pregnant sister Khloe' after ... - Duration: 3:33.

Kim Kardashian is 'couldn't be more happy for pregnant sister Khloe' after Lamar Odom heartbreak

Kim Kardashian is excited for her younger sister Khloe's baby news after it was revealed that the star is expecting her first child with boyfriend Tristan Thompson.

Khloe, who tried to have a baby with ex-husband Lamar Odom during their doomed marriage, is finally going to start the family of her dreams and Kim is there to support her.

'Kim loves Tristan, so she is super supportive,' a source told Us Weekly. 'She couldnt be more happy for the family.

Kim, 36, and her husband Kanye West are expecting their third baby via a surrogate, but the reality star is excited to watch the how family grow.

'Kim can't wait to be an aunt again. She knows most of her sisters want big families and that is exactly what seems to be happening. She loves witnessing the family blossom,' she said.

Kim confirmed her baby news after posting on Twitter a clip for the upcoming 14th season of Keeping Up With The Kardashians. In the clip, she can be seen FaceTiming Khloe before she asks: What happens every time I say, Guess what?.

Pregnant, or the person's pregnant, Khloé responds before Kim excitedly tells her: We're having a baby!.

'Kim had been looking for a surrogate for months until recently when she found the perfect candidate,' a source previously revealed when it was alleged that their surrogate was pregnant.

'Given her health scares in the past, Kim felt the need to hire a surrogacy agency that helped serve as the liaison in finding a healthy woman who would be a great surrogate option for her and Kanye.

Both of them have been super involved in the process.'. Kim and Kanye married in 2014; they have a son, Saint, and a four-year-old daughter called North.

Kim has always said that she wanted a big family however her health complications have meant that she's unable to have a third baby naturally; she suffered with placenta accreta, where the placenta grows into the muscle of the uterus, in past pregnancies.

The reveal on Thursday plays into a big Kardashian fan theory which suggested that, in good Kardashian fashion, they were hoping to drive up ratings of their hit reality show Keeping Up With The Kardashians by refusing to comment on the pregnancies and instead use the upcoming new season to confirm them.

Space race: Competition will make it CHEAP for civilians to leave Earth, Tim Peak claims - Duration: 2:55.

Space race: Competition will make it CHEAP for civilians to leave Earth, Tim Peak claims

The British astronaut was speaking at the New Scientist Live event in London when he said that the likes of Elon Musk's SpaceX are "forcing technology and industry" to compete, and "reducing the cost of entry" to space.

The European Space Agency spaceman said we are entering a new "era" of commercialised space travel which could get the every day person to Mars.

However, Al Worden, the former US astronaut who was the pilot of NASA's Apollo 15 mission to the moon, said it will always be too expensive to get civilians to Mars.

He told the same audience: "I know Elon [Musk] talks about going to Mars, but I don't see that as a commercial enterprise. I see it being too expensive.".

But, Mr Worden said that for private space fairing firms, such as Nasa, Mars should be the next goal.

When asked by Professor Stephen Hawking if the focus should be "moon or mars?", Mr Worden said that there was "no good reason to go back to the moon". He said: "Going to Mars should be our big goal.

We're going to have to have help. .

"We talk a lot about what the ISS costs, but it's small change in what it'll cost to go to Mars.   "To me the most important part [for private companies] is developing the technology that'll take us there.

" Nasa has previously said it aims to get the first humans to Mars somewhere between 2030 and 2040.

Elon Musk's SpaceX has the financial clout to reach Earth's next door neighbour and is aiming to get people to the Red Planet by around 2030, with the first people there being tasked with beginning to build a new civilisation.

China has also announced its ambition to get people to the Red Planet and is also aiming for the 2030 mark.
