This is how you get hooked... - Duration: 12:10.

Here they come!

(Brendon) Oh!

(They're here!) *gasp*

Do you see it chasing your lure?!

Oh!

Good morning, everyone!

It is about 6:30 in the morning

and you guys are with me today! *nervous laughter*MN

So we've been in Piney Point, Maryland for a few days now,

today's our last day,

and every morning

we've gone out on the kayak

at, uh, dawn

and we see all these birds swarming up

and diving

after the bait fish,

and so today

instead of filming on my big camera like I usually do,

I'm going to take part in the action.

Um, now,

I've seen Brendon do this many times.

That's not the same thing as experiencing it, I know,

but um,

I feel like I kind of know what I'm doing, I know what I'm looking for,

I got--well, Brendon gave me kind of like a

surf rod so I'm a little nervous about that because it's like 7 ft. long and

dealing with that on a kayak, um,

I've had trouble before,

but we're just going to go after the birds today

and do some fishing and uh,

let's go have some fun!

(Brendon) Hi everybody!

*Erin giggling*

There's Brendon.

Ooga ooga ooga ooga ooga ooga ooga!

Ooga...

(I just be clownin around.)

I know you be like that, babe.

That's just how I be!

Y'all didn't believe me!

Sounds like stuff is starting to pop...

The birds are not doing--Ooh!

*whistling*

Brendon, out there!

They're starting to swarm!

To the left.

Yup, they're diving.

Let's go.

Yes, let's go now.

We have a little bit of a paddle.

Yup, they're definitely starting to swarm!

You see 'em?

*whispering* Okay, I'm just gonna start.

Got one!

Okay!

Hoo hoo!

*To Brendon* Got one!

Alright.

Yes!

Okay.

Ha ha!

These lip grips are not going to fit...

Who am I kidding?

Okay, oh my god, I'm going to get poked up.

Brendon was telling me how his hand was all cut up yesterday-- Alright!

Yes!

First one of the day.

Little schoolie.

They're popping.

ooh!

Okay.

Woah, okay.

Okay.

ooh!

Oh, yees!

Ha ha ha!

Yes!!

Okay.

Alright, alright, alright.

Very fun.

Oh my gosh,

they're popping everywhere!!

Ow.

Mother eff...

Oh my god! They're boiling right next to me!

I gotta get this guys off! Okay...

Ooh!

Alright.

Second one in like, five minutes.

(Brendon) You caught a fish?

I have two!

(Huh?)

I got two already!

(Nice!)

Oh, yes!

Ho!

Pulled it right out...

It is so satisfying.

When they tug, even though they're small

I wish all of you were here to experience this with me.

Just wanna get you back in there, guy...

There we go.

Okay!

They're all about the same size, but uh...

They pull very nicely.

(Brendon) You caught three?

Yeah!

Ha ha!

Oh em gee...

The uh...

seven-foot rod is actually pretty nice...

Oh my god, you see right in front of me, right here?

Woah.

Woahh!

You see them poppin out??

Ha! Those stupid birds can't get 'em...

Oh, they're right next to us.

Oh my god!

They're popping out of the water!!

Woahh!!

oh my god!!!

Okay, calm down, I gotta calm down.

I gotta calm down.

(To Brendon) Turn it on.

(Brendon) Over there, birds are coming.

Everything is just...

Here they come.

(Brendon) Oh!

(They're here!) *gasp*

Do you see it chasing your lure?!

Oh!!

I got something, I think

the hell--?

*sigh* Yep!

Snagged it.

--Didn't actually snag it,

I just meant like, slang, like "ooh, snagged it."

Whoo!

Alright!

Oh, Brendon's got a fish on.

Alright.

thank you.

It was nice to meet you.

Oh my god, they're right next to us!

(Brendon) Oh my god, look!

(Look at my topwater!) I see!

They're all chasing it!

Oh my gosh!! *excited squealing*

(Did you see that?)

I've gotta-- you are in my way, Brendon.

(I like it here.)

You like it right next to me?

(I like it right next to you.)

Okay.

I like it too, then.

That was so awesome, I just saw them

chase your lure.

Brendon, you're right on my line!

Thank you.

Woah!

Right next to me and I can't even get them--Oh!!

Oh my gosh!!!

Ha ha ha!

I just got on one!

Between Brendon and me I got one.

Oh my gosh! *birds screaming*

*singing* Ahhhh!!!

This is insane.

Got one.

Oh.

Yeah.

Got 'em.

There we go.

Oh.

There we go.

Oh, that's a little bigger.

That's pretty nice.

A little bigger...

Not too bad...

This is so fun.

Got it.

Phew.

Not too bad.

Got him through the eye...

Alright.

There we go.

Thank you.

Brendon's yelling at me to, uh, chase the birds-- oh my goodness,

it is destroyed.

Alright.

Let's chase the birds, Brendon!

I'm coming, I'm coming!

Okay!

Ooh, sorry.

it's ok.

give it to me.

Take this.

Oh no.

Oh nooo.

Okay.

Okay.

okay, thank you.

Right there!

Oh, I see, I see.

Go, go, go! Okay, I'm going, I'm going!

*oh*

(Don't set the hook yet, just start reeling.)

Ha, I got it.

Nice little one.

Oh!

Oh!

That's not too bad.

Okay.

Going a little crazy...

Woah, I barely hooked that.

Actually, not really.

That was really fun.

Brendon just handed me

this Yozuri popper

and his beautiful St. Croix inshore rod.

That was really fun.

Ha, and, uh,

(Brendon whooping) Aooo Aooo!! AOOO!! I can see 'em chase 'em!

Ao Ao Aoooo!!!

Well, I see absolutely no birds.

(Brendon) The birds are gone, but they're still here.

They are gone, gone.

Classic.

So I think I'm gonna be done here, guys,

It's about 8:00 now,

we've been out here for, like,

an hour and they've just been biting for like, an hour.

So, ha ha ha,

thank you for joining me on literally the best day of fishing I've ever experienced in my life,

um,

I don't usually get to go fishing because I'm usually, like,

lugging this big camera around-- that I love, but, um...

it was nice to just, um, kind of take it easy and not focus on filming

and focus on having fun instead,

so thank you for being with me,

um, I appreciate you,

um, If you liked this episode, please let me know in the comments below,

let me know in the comments below if you've ever experienced, like, a feeding frenzy like this,

with the birds and the fish all schooling up

and kind of attacking each other,

um, and let me know what you caught and what you caught it on...

I'm going to get fishing. (Brendon) Erin, come on! There's fish here!!

Okay! If you liked this episode, like and subscribe, thanks, see you next week!
