Dale Earnhardt Jr.‏ is NASCAR's anthem protest outlier

While many NASCAR team owners are backing President Trump in his criticism of protests at NFL games, one of the sports most popular drivers defended the players rights and quoted John F. Kennedy on the need for peaceful protests..

All Americans R granted rights 2 peaceful protests, Dale Earnhardt Jr. Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable-JFK..

Earnhardt, who has won NASCARs Most Popular Driver Award for 14 straight years, posted his comments about a half-hour after Trump in a tweet praised racing fans and team owners who support his slamming players who take a knee during the national anthem at NFL games.

So proud of NASCAR and its supporters and fans. They wont put up with disrespecting our Country or our Flag – they said it loud and clear!, Trump wrote on Monday.

Earnhardt, the son of legendary driver Dale Earnhardt, has spoken out against Trumps policies before. In January he tweeted a response to the presidents travel ban restricting immigrants from major Muslim countries.

my fam immigrated from Germany in 1700s escaping religious persecution. America is created by immigrants., he wrote to a Muslim NASCAR fan in Indonesia who expressed worry about Trumps ban.

Earnhardt, known as Junior, is also a lifelong fan of the Washington Redskins, whose owner, Dan Snyder, stood alongside his players before the teams game with the Oakland Raiders on Sunday.

Trump, during a speech in Alabama on Friday, called on NFL owners to fire or suspend players who take a knee during the national anthem and he doubled down on his comments in tweets on Sunday that included encouraging fans to boycott the games until the protests end.

Wouldnt you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, Get that son of a bitch off the field right now. He is fired, Trump said.

As some NFL owners, even those who donated to Trumps campaign, stood arm-in-arm with their players in a show of sideline solidarity for their right to protest during games, NASCAR team owners warned similar behavior would result in the person being fired.

Former NASCAR champion Richard Petty said he wont stand for people who dont stand during the anthem.

"Anybody that don't stand up for the anthem oughta be out of the country. Period. What got 'em where they're at? The United States," Petty said on Sunday, according to the Associated Press.

Richard Childress, a NASCAR hall of fame driver and team owner like Petty, said not honoring the anthem will Get you a ride on a Greyhound bus when the national anthem is over.

How the Red Cross is helping people affected by Hurricane Irma in the Florida Keys - Duration: 0:49.

Here on Big Pine Key, Hurricane Irma came through and pretty much devastated our

little home. The further you go toward the water is the most destruction you'll

ever see. I was pretty much blessed with having a standing home even though water

got to it, lot of mold, but my neighbor - I saw her house and so I was down on the

ground and let her know that she had nothing to come back to. Still no

electricity, no a/c, no radio. My car, it's pretty much stuck here.

Today the Red Cross came through and they're wonderful — water, they had hot lunch. That's a

blessing all of that's a blessing and we're so grateful.

ISIS fanatic challenges Prince Harry to fight if he is 'man enough' - Duration: 3:01.

ISIS fanatic challenges Prince Harry to fight if he is 'man enough'

The royal is told that if he is "man enough" he should travel to fight ISIS himself in a chilling clip from one of the terror groups fanatical supporters.

The video shows a man with a Singapore accent calling for fellow would-be jihadis to fight for the sick terror group across the middle east and Africa.

While loading artillery shells into a lorry he says: "To Harry, you come to Singapore and tell such stories to gain sympathy for the London terror attacks?.

"Why don't you come here and fight us if you're man enough, so that we can send you and your Apaches [helicopters] to hellfire, bi ithnillah [Allah allowing]?" The royal and former soldier spoke about the horrifying London Bridge terror attack while visiting Singapore in June.

Prince Harry spoke during a two-day visit to the island where he organised the Sentebale Polo Cup for charity.

The man has allegedly been identified as Megat Shahdan bin Abdul Samad by the Singaporean authorities following the videos release. The 39-year-old is thought to have been radicalised while working in the middle east, where he travelled in 2014.

A spokesman for the Singapore Ministry of Home Affairs said: "Our security agencies have been aware of the presence in Syria of a Singaporean and have been monitoring his activities".

Worries that the island nation could be the target of a future attack have grown due to its importance as a financial centre, as well as Singapores tough stance against terrorism.

Prince Harry was on the frontline during tours of Afghanistan and flew Apache helicopters while in the British Army.

His humbling experience in the military, where the Prince was seen as "just Harry" led him to consider leaving the royal family. Meghan Markle and Harry sat away from each other yesterday at the Invictus Games opening ceremony in Toronto.

The Invictus Games, created by the former soldier, is a Paralympic-style sports events that sees wounded soldiers competing in feats of athletic prowess.
