DON IMUS, SOME OF YOU MIGHT REMEMBER HIM.

HE WAS A TALKSHOW HOST FOR A LONG TIME AND HAD A LOT OF

INFLUENCE.

IT TURNS OUT HE IS DONE.

LET ME EXPLAIN WHY HE GOT KICKED OFF AND WHY IT MATTERS.

SO FOR ALMOST HALF A CENTURY HE'S BEEN ON THE AIR.

DON IMUS IS A COMPLICATED CHARACTER.

THAT'S WHY HE GOT A LOT OF COVERAGE IN

THE PAST.

AND AT TIMES HE HAS POSITIONS THAT ARE PROGRESSIVE AND

THINGS THAT YOU CAN'T QUITE PUT YOUR FINGER ON.

IN IT HAS ALSO GOTTEN HIM SOME TROUBLE.

AT THE TIME I SAID

I DON'T THINK HE SHOULD BE TAKEN

OFF THE AIR I THINK WE SHOULD HAVE THESE DISCUSSIONS.

NUMBER ONE, CONSEQUENCE OF THIS IS THAT CONSERVATIVE TALK RADIO

IS DYING.

AND HERE IT IS ON DEATH'S DOORSTEP.

ON MARCH 29, HE IS NOT PIGEONHOLED AS A CONSERVATIVE

TALK RADIO, HE IS MORE OF THE OLD-SCHOOL SHOCK JOCK THAT HAD A

LOT OF CONSERVATIVE OPINIONS AND WAS ON FOX FOR A WHILE WILL BE

GONE.

NUMBER TWO, AS I HAVE BEEN TELLING YOU ALL ALONG THERE IS

NO ONE ACTUALLY LISTENING TO THESE RADIO GUYS.

THE RATINGS NOW SO POOR THEY ARE LITERALLY BEING TAKEN OFF THE

AIR.

YOU THINK RUSH LIMBAUGH HAS A MUCH BIGGER AUDIENCE?

NO.

HIS AUDIENCE HAS NEVER BEEN VERIFIABLE.

GLENN BECK'S AUDIENCE HAS NEVER BEEN VERIFIED.

NO ONE KNOWS WHAT IT IS, THEY JUST MAKE UP NUMBERS.

THEY KEEP SAYING THE NUMBER YEAR AFTER YEAR AFTER YEAR.

AND THE ONLY REASON WHY THEY HAVE EXTRA POWER IS BECAUSE

THE MEDIA GIVES THEM THAT POWER.

WHAT AFFECTED DON IMUS HAVE, NOTHING AT ALL.

IF ALL THEY DO IS RADIO SHOWS IN A CAVE, THEY HAVE NO INFLUENCE

OR POWER OR AUDIENCE.

HAVE A BUNCH OF INCREDIBLY OLD PEOPLE WHO STILL GIVE SOME ADS.

A LOT OF TIMES THE MEDIA WILL TAKE THE RUSH LIMBAUGH'S OF THE

WORLD AND MAKE THEM SEEM LIKE THEY ARE HUGE.

I DO IT TO RUN THEM OUT OF TOWN BUT AT SOME POINT AND A LOT OF

YOU HAVE EMAILED IN AND TWEETED

ABOUT THIS.

WE JUST OF THE CUT OFF THEIR OXYGEN.

THEY NO LONGER HAVE ANY AUDIENCE OR RELEVANCE.

AS YOU CAN TELL WITH IMUS AND THE REST TIME IS NOT ON THEIR

SIDE.

THEY ARE AN ANCIENT FORMAT WITH AN ANCIENT AUDIENCE.

TICK TOCK TICK TOCK.

A LOT OF THIS POISON THAT THEY PUT IN TO THE MEDIA IN THE

BLOODSTREAM OF AMERICA BACK ON

PEOPLE USED TO LISTEN TO RADIO IS SOON GOING TO BE GONE AND

GOOD RIDDANCE IS MY FINAL WORD TODAY.

He is known for his down to earth approach to DJ tries to teach the Prince Harry a new handshake - Duration: 5:25.

He is known for his down to earth approach to royal engagements, so it was no surprise to see Prince Harry attempt to learn a new handshake on Tuesday.

The 33-year-old was joined by fiance Meghan Markle, 36, in Brixton today where they visited a local radio station, Reprezent.

Upon meeting the royals DJ Remi Aderemi couldn't resist the opportunity to teach the prince a very special handshake.

With Meghan watching on Harry seemed keen to master the complicated handshake and after a shakey start appeared to master the greeting.

His efforts certainly seemed to impress Aderemi who gave the prince a hug as a way of congratulations

Aderemi, 24, said: 'It just came, I wanted to do it

He's cool, he's just a smooth guy and he was willing.

'He joked and said to me 'that's between us'.'

The hilarious exchange was captured on camera and shared on by Kensington Palace where it received almost 70,000 views.

But while the royal was able to impress with his hand shake it seems he was left a little red faced when it came to his music knowledge.

DJ Jeremiah Asiamah took to to reveal that the prince was unfamiliar with British rapper Giggs, assuming the DJ was referring to gig concerts

In a tweet Asiamah wrote: 'So basically I asked Prince Harry..

does he know about Giggs ..

he said what events..

Fair enough'.

Harry and Meghan, who announced their engagement in November, were also given some street-level tips for their wedding music during their visit pioneering radio

On their second official royal outing together, the couple were greeted by large crowds when they visited the Reprezent radio station in Brixton which was set up in 2008 as part of a response to a rise in knife crime among young people.

...NOW GET ONE LIKE IT

The station trains hundreds of young people each year in media and employment skills

It offers training in topics ranging from audio and radio production and editing to communication skills and work experience.

It also runs programmes supporting youngsters with specific issues like mental health challenges, a cause dear to Harry's heart.

Presenter Gloria Beyi, 17, said the couple showed a keen interest in the station's music.

'The main thing I observed is they go quite well together,' she told Reuters

'This is genuine - this is real stuff

Having both of them in one room trying to talk to you and having interest in the station, how it works, the relationship between everyone, itâs just so amazing.â

Asked about possible wedding music recommendations, she said: 'A little bit of house, a little bit of hip-hop, cos Harry did say that he is interested in hip-hop and house.

'So, that mixed together at a wedding? Then you're pretty good

Those two genres if they're there, you're pretty sorted for your wedding.'

The mixed-race actress was thought to be making her first visit to Brixton which is traditionally considered the home of London's Caribbean community after some of the West Indian immigrants, who arrived on Empire Windrush in 1948, settled in the area

When the couple met two groups of young people who have been supported by the radio station Meghan was hugged by Reprezent DJ Azadi, 22, who also helps produce Gal-Dem, an online and print magazine for women of colour.

After the bride-to-be was presented with a copy of the publication the DJ said the US actress knew about the magazine and had asked to meet them.

She said: 'She was asking for us and she was like 'I'm really excited to see the work that you guys do', it's really crazy that she was taking an active interest in what we're about and what we do.

'She said she was really excited to read the magazine and she was happy we had given her a copy - the hug just came naturally.'
