"Accessible Content" for me as a blind individual, it means, you know, first and
foremost, does it work with a screen reader?
"This is a heading level two"
But it also means, does it work for somebody who is dyslexic?
Can it work with a user who can't use their hands?
It's not one-dimensional anymore.
We're not in that era anymore of "this is for blind people," or "this is for
sighted users who are learning disabled."
You may have a totally blind person who is ADHD.
You may have a partial sightling who has a traumatic brain injury, who can't remember
keystrokes.
And so it isn't just about "can it work with one individual", or "one group of
individuals", it's "can I make my content work for everybody."
I was very pleasantly surprised to find the care that was taken by the developers of Marketplace,
to not only provide excellent navigation, but to provide videos with descriptions that
the screen reader was able to read, accessible graphs that a user can navigate.
The videos had captions.
That was awesome.
I mean, the captions don't, for me personally do not do a lot of good, but for a deaf person
that was incredible.
You guys are a small company and you've done what some large companies will not even
attempt to do.
It's been an absolute pleasure testing this and working with you all, and getting the
cooperation of Marketplace Live and its employees.
