Waching daily Jan 26 2018

Oh hey Canada.

Scheer here.

You know,

even though I'm the head of the Conservative Party,

I'm still just your average Canadian.

Growing up, my family never had a car --

or a televison.

Or fancy indoor plumbing.

Because unlike our current Prime Minister, I wasn't born with a silver spoon in my mouth.

In fact, we didn't have spoons at all.

If we wanted soup or pudding, we had to freeze it -- and eat it with a knife

and fork.

The same as all of you.

Nothing was ever handed to me as a kid.

I had to work hard, since I was eleven years old.

I've worked as a paperboy, store clerk, a waiter, hotdog vendor,

chimney sweep, coal-miner,

a roofer, piano salesman,

cememetary groundskeeper, carny, Head Carny,

pool hustler, human-fly,

crash test dummy and bounty hunter.

And now, I'm ready to add Prime Minister to that list.

But at the end of the day, I'm just a normal guy.

I put my pants on one leg at a time...

Or I would,

if I owned pants.

Which I don't.

Keala Settle - This Is Me (Letra e Tradução) - AMV - Duration: 3:51.

I'm not a stranger to the dark

Hide away, be safe

Cause we don't want your broken parts

I've learned to be ashamed of all my scars

Runaway, they say No one will love you as you are

But I won't let them break me down to dust

I know that there's a place for us

For we are glorious

When the sharpest words wanna cut me down

I'm gonna see the blood, gonna drown them out

I am brave, I am bruised

I am who I'm meant to be, this is me

Look out 'cause here I come

And I'm marching on to the beat I drum

I'm not scared, to be seen

I make no apologies, this is me

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-ohOh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh

Another round of bullets hits my skin

Well fire away, cause today

I won't let the shames begin

We are bursting through the barricades

And reaching for the sun (We are warriors)

Yeah that's what we've become

Won't let them break me down to dust

I know that there's a place for us

For we are glorious

When the sharpest words wanna cut me down

Gonna send the floods, gonna drown them out

I am brave, I am bruised, I am who I'm meant to be

This is me

Look out cause here I come

I am marching out to the beat I drum

I'm not scared to be seen I make no apologies

This is me

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh-oh

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh

This is me

(Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh)

And I know that I deserve your love

(Oh-oh-oh-oh Oh-oh-oh-oh)

There's nothing I'm not worthy of

Oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh-oh-oh, oh, oh

When the sharpest words wanna cut me down

Gonna send the floods gonna drown them out

This is brave, this is bruised This is who I'm meant to be

Man is left with horrific marks after massage session | news 24h - Duration: 8:20.

'Never again!' Man who popped to a local salon for a relaxing massage leaves with angry red marks covering his back - after the therapist gave him trendy CUPPING treatment instead

Treating yourself to a massage is supposed to be a relaxing experience.

But a pampering session turned out to be anything but soothing for one man who emerged with what looked like horrific circular burns all over his back after popping into a local massage parlour.

Peter Weston from Liverpool shared images of his post-treatment back on Facebook, explaining, Just been for a massage and ended up getting a thing called CUPPING. F*** me never again..

He added: I'll never get it done again I was in that much pain.

The process dates back to Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures and works by applying glass cups to the skin along the meridians of the body, creating suction as a way of stimulating the flow of energy.

Peter Weston from Liverpool shared a shocking image on Facebook, revealing how hed been left covered in red and purple marks after being given a cupping treatment instead of a massage .

Peter took to Facebook to reveal his horror at being left covered in red and purple bruises .

Facebook friends reassured Peter that he would feel great once the pain died down, with one telling him: I get this done all the time it's amazing - youre gonna feel boss.

All the darker ones are where you had the most s*** coming out of you! That's all the bad toxins in your body.

Recently, Leicester-based massage therapist and healer Hitesth Patel revealed how the process of gua sha, which is similar to cupping, can also leave alarming marks that look like injuries.

What is cupping?  The process dates back to Egyptian, Chinese, and Middle Eastern cultures and works by applying glass cups to the skin along the meridians of the body.  The therapist lights a match inside a plastic or glass cup to create a vaccuum and then quickly applies it to the clients skin, where it stays for 20 minutes.

Suction pulls the skin into the cup to stimulating the flow of energy through the muscles and promote blood flow.

When the cup is removed, a popping sound occurs and a red mark, which later turns purple, is left behind from the suction.

Its popular among athletes as its said to prevent a build up of lactic acid and speeds up recovery time. The process also has countless celebrity fans, including Jennifer Aniston, Gwyneth Paltrow and Lea Michele.

He shared an image of client Grace Campbell on Facebook, explaining that working as a hairdresser, hunching in awkward positions as she cuts clients hair all day, left her with tight muscles.

He explained to Femail that giving Grace a therapy called gua sha released stagnation in the muscles which appeared on the skin as red marks known as petechiae.

With a job that involves holding a static position for a long time you build up stagnation in the blood flow which accumulates in muscle and causes pain, Hitesh explained.

Through gua sha the body releases the stagnated tissue stored in the muscles. The red marks indicate where the damaged tissue is.

We can massage her body accordingly, giving her a full release which in turn gives her mobility and flexibility back in the affected area.

Petechiae look like a rash or bruising but are in fact blood cells that have been pressed out of the capillaries during the process. As the body starts to reabsorb them, it improves circulation and creates an anti-inflammatory effect.

Leicester-based massage therapist and healer Hitesth Patel shared this image of client Grace Campbell on Facebook, explaining that shes suffered blood stagnation due to her job as a hairdresser.

Depending on how damaged that area is it can go from a light pink colour to very dark black purple colour, Hitesh explained.

What is Gua Sha Gua sha or scraping therapy is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which practitioners scrape skin thats been lubricated by oil with a smooth-edged instrument such as a spoon or bottle cap.

The smooth edge is moved along the skin over the muscles or accupuncture pathways.  Practitioners say it stimulates blood flow and healing. Light pink indicates just every day fatigue, red marks show little bit more tiredness and damage.

When it goes purple and black indicate old very stagnant stubborn double inch which might take a little bit longer to deal with.

Grace is one of several hairdresser clients who see Hitesh, while professionals who also stand in awkward positions all day such as dentists and mechanics can also benefit from the treatment.

The treatment that Grace had released all that stagnation giving her mobility and reducing pain and inflammation. Hitesh post about Grace has certainly caught peoples imagination and has been shared 20,000 times since he shared it.

Another hairdresser client of Hitesth Patels after having gua sha treatment to release stagnation caused by hunching in awkward positions all day .

What Digital Workspace Is and Why You Need It - Duration: 3:22.

[MUSIC]

>>CHRIS COUGHLIN: The best way to describe digital workspace is think about in the '90s

where you're sitting at a desk, you were tied to a terminal, you couldn't be mobile maybe

if you're a salesperson you couldn't necessarily be out there talking to people.

Digital workspace is enablement: it's the ability to be productive, to access corporate

data, to have secure corporate data, to be able to access contacts, make conference calls

and interact with your customers on the fly so it makes you more productive and it makes

you more reliable in the field.

[music]

>>DAVID GARCIA: When you sign on once it gives you identity management so the IT group

knows who you are, what apps you're using, what apps are in your catalogue, apps that

they can push or take back from you, and it makes it really a very seamless way to work.

In today's environment we're signing on to every registration application individually,

sometimes you forget your password some people keep a repository for their passwords, some

don't, some have them kept somewhere insecurely, which is really not good for IT and Workspace

allows you to sign on once and get access to everything you need.

>>CHRIS COUGHLIN: So it meets the needs of organizations from a flexibility standpoint

and because of that mobility that in five years 72 percent of software interaction are

going to be on mobile devices.

For example, I was on two WebExs yesterday just on my mobile device.

The great thing about the software and the capabilities of that software is that I can

login and then I can be actually called at the same time, so it's not me fumbling around

trying to figure out, "Okay, what's the phone number and what's the capabilities?"

I can actually see the data when I need to be flexible with my schedule and it allows

me to still be productive at the same time.

[MUSIC]

>>DAVID GARCIA: The consolidation to a workspace makes sense because it gives people choice:

it allows them to work on whatever device they want anywhere they want.

>>CHRIS COUGHLIN: Especially with modern-day worker and the younger workers that are now

entering the workforce they want that flexibility, they want the tools to, when they join an

organization, "How's this organization going to enable me and let me be productive if I

can't always be in the office?"

And so what we're seeing is they've got those tools on demand, they can even use their personal

tools but login securely throw products like VMware's Workspace One where they can login

from anywhere and get access to just their specific datasets versus say something else

that another type of user is using.

But they get that flexibility and the organization gets that productivity up.

What excites me the most is the ability to provide tools and resources that make it easy

because IT has such a big burden on it and a lot of times IT individuals are the first

people we're talking to and so they're like, "Hey, I need a solution.

I need it yesterday."

And so we can show them products and services that integrate well together, that have a

single console that they can manage everything and they can get up to speed on them and be

trained on them very quickly.

[MUSIC]

>>DAVID GARCIA: The assessment process for determining whether a customer's right for

a digital workspace is really asking a lot of questions.

Understanding the customer's current environment, who their workforce is, where they like to

work, what kind of devices they're using, are they a BYOD shop, are they a mixed environment,

how are they pushing out applications today, how are they managing them, do they have access

to apps beyond what is being delivered in a seamless and easy fashion?

What is uganda knuckles? The history and origin of do u know da wae memes - Duration: 6:49.

Hello internet! and welcome to behind the meme!

Today we have a look at ugandan knuckles

Damn!

This one has been everywhere lately!

From pewdiepie to even that damn elders react series!

Where a bunch of old people were confused as hell with it!

"What's it suppose to mean?

I mean what's the purpose"

Sooooo…

How did it all happen?

It starts in the 1990s like most great things do

Yeah…that shits gonna be stuck in your head for the rest of the day, I'm sorry.

the character Knuckles is originally from the sonic the hedgehog series of video games

You know those video games where the main character runs around like he just drank a

bunch of soda, coffee and cocaine.

and if you don't know what I'm talking about when I say that I'm talking about

the video game where you're a blue guy who collects gold rings

This is the original knuckles video game character who by the way is suppose to be an animal

called an echidna which looks like this.

Dude, don't ask me how they got this character from this animal.

Sega must have been high as hell back in the 90s.

SEGA!!!

So how did this become this

Well,The answer is surprisingly short.

Kinda like my dic-tionary reading abilities.

Yeah that's totally what I was gonna say

It all started on the channel of youtuber Gregzilla.

Who all the way back in the distant year of 2013 uploaded a video of himself reviewing

one of the newer sonic games "Sonic Lost World".

In the review he had the very brief animation of what we now know as uganda knuckles.

"So without further echidna!

Oh no! lets take a look at sonic lost worlds"

That brief 1 second clip was the origin of the meme phenomenon that we now know and love

today!

I know what you're thinking and I agree.

Lauren southern is total proof that god is real.

Beauty and brains in one package, I mean cmon

Oh…wait…you weren't thinking that?

Right, you were wondering how a video uploaded all the way back in 2013 was able to create

a new meme in 2018.

That's a good question!

A very good question

Well along with the image of ugandan knuckles the meme is closely associated with the term

"Do you know the way?" and by that I mean "dew u no de wey?"

But of course being a meme on the internet in 2018 the phrase is much more complex than

a simple question, instead being said in a stereotypical ugandian accent.

You see in the world of video game streaming a common joke has been for people to use sound

clips of ugandian warriors or soldiers or people or whatever it is they have in uganda.

You know what?

I don't know anything about uganda and I'm not gonna act like i do.

So lets see….

It's in africa… okay….

This is what their flag looks like.

kinda cool, kinda cool

And one of their biggest exports is coffee…

So There we go.

We learned something about uganda!

"I make learning fun.

Incredibly fun"

Remember how I was talking about the accent and sound effects of ugandan soldiers?"

Dew yew know de way" Well it just so happens that another export of uganda is action movies!

Thats right!

America has the fast and furious series, Mission impossible, John wick, terminator.

the list goes on and on.

Well uganda has movies that are pretty amazing in their own right.

Movies like "who killed captain alex".

Now normally I would try to explain what makes who killed captain alex so amazing but…words

cannot do it justice sooooo…. have a look for yourself.

The phrase commonly associated with the meme is believed to have originated from this piece

of cinema history which was released in 2010 and made with a budget of only 200 dollars!

There are various low budget ugandian films that may be the origin of the term.

But that scene you just saw comes the closet from what I can tell.

So we have all the elements of the meme!

The origin,The art, the phrase, but we're missing one thing that all memes have.

The popularity! how in the hell did it become so popular?

The meme made the jump from simple art to virtual reality avatar in September of 2017,

when the deviantart artist "Tidiestflyer" created a 3d model!

along with his post, he offered a link for individuals to download his work which gave

them the capabilities to use it within video games.

"Do you like video games?"

You see certain video games allow you to create a custom avatar that represents you in the

virtual world.

Tidiestflyer's model began to be heavily used in a video game that does just that.

VRchat.

In late 2017 the game VRchat started to become very popular on twitch and on youtube amongst

video game channels.

The game is simple.

You pop on a virtual reality headset and talk to other people in a virtual world.

It wasn't long before videos of players having a ton of fun trolling other players

as the character made their way to youtube where they have been viewed thousands of times

and helped propel the meme to the next level of popularity.

Now the meme has become the most popular meme of 2018 and has been used in so many different

ways that have expanded beyond it's use as a simple animation and a video game avatar.

With uganda knuckles being used in more traditional meme formulas and within basic photo based

memes.

2018 has only just begun and it's already off to a pretty interesting start.

So there you have it!

What started off as a beloved video game character got mixed with some interesting elements before

eventually catching the internet's attention!

But hey!

That's the internet for you and on the internet memes are king!

Thank you all so very much for watching!

Make sure to subscribe so you can catch my next video and stay up to date on all your

favorite memes and trends!

Much love and appreciation!

I'll catch you beautiful people next time

Next Gen Security How IT Is Evolving - Duration: 4:11.

>>ALLEN SCHMIDT: There's always the fear of the call in the middle of the night.

I think it's more so the call that you don't get in the middle of the night: it's when

you don't know that something has happened in your network and the breach and the extraction

of the critical information in your company those are the things I think that customers

need to consider and they need to have the right systems to be able to detect it and

then to be able to re-mediate and roll back once they do detect it.

[MUSIC]

>>DAN SIEBERT: Ten years ago I could put a firewall around somebody's network and that

was sufficient to protect them.

But now with the advanced threats that we're seeing in the world today and we're seeing

how our consumers are using that technology to the point where there's mobility and there's

cloud and there's different type of data access that users want to have 24-hour access to

the Next-Gen technology, the Next-Gen firewall is there to help us look at that data stream

and, again, to protect against those threats that necessarily we didn't even have five

years ago.

>>ALLEN SCHMIDT: The Next-Gen firewall came together when the processing power and the

firewalls became sufficient that you could start to do all of those in a single system.

But the key to being able to do that wasn't to try and put all of those into one box but

to do it intelligently to be able to examine traffic simultaneously in parallel and in

that way you're not consuming the path, you're not losing all of the processing by having

to do it individually sequentially.

[MUSIC]

>>DAN SIEBERT: There's three leaders that I would point and a lot of it comes down to

the way the customers want to use that technology use the firewall.

There's Cisco, there's Palo Alto and there's Fortinet.

And here at CDW we'll generally sell all three of those and we work with all three of those

partners.

And a lot of times we'll work with our customers to understand their need and what fit we'll

take within their network.

Palo Alto, you know, they were pretty much the innovator of the Next-Gen space and coming

with that technology a lot of the other vendors have had to match speed with them.

And as you look at how those pieces and components fit into a customer's network, again, each

one's going to fit a little bit differently.

So from a Palo Alto side you're definitely looking at a better application type of visibility;

you're getting a better view into the known and unknown applications that filter in a

lot of our customer's networks.

At the same time Cisco has, you know, with their FirePOWER section on the phone, so they're

able to see very good into an IPS type of inspection so intrusion prevention and data

protection.

Fortinet on that side as well.

Fortinet is very good with their inspection tool and they have some of the best feeds

to cost in the market.

>>ALLEN SCHMIDT: I think the value of the Next-Gen firewall is the additional protection

it gives you at the internet edge.

But you can't just think about the internet edge as well: you've got the internal environment

as well creating enclave boundaries on the inside between the user and the data center.

But ultimately the value they provide are greater inspection, greater security, the

ability to identify, compromise or indications of attack that weren't possible before simple

by looking at stateful inspection.

CDW has a really strong professional services organization.

We've deployed parameter firewalls for companies from small to large across different industries

and so our expertise in deploying Next-Gen firewall and being able to build policy related

to malware, related to URL content, related to traditional stateful inspection has been

able to be applied at the internet edge certainly where it's required but also internally where

you're creating enclave boundaries between user access and data center.

There's a number of security zones where these can be applied and CDW has great expertise

in doing that.

>>DAN SIEBERT: You want to have multiple layers of your technology and sometimes you want

to use a similar vendor that's communicating with each other Cisco has a great architecture

of that.

It leverages a lot of different pieces but sometimes they're not always the best pieces

so you may look for a different product to leverage in with the existing technology you

have.

>>ALLEN SCHMIDT: Best of breed is something that people will go with but oftentimes it's

nice to have one consolidated solution so that you're able to bring in the information

of all parts and that they integrate with each other.

>>DAN SIEBERT: A lot of the hacks and stuff that you read in the paper it's whether it's

a Home Depot or the Equifax or any of the stuff that's out there the attacker was in

the network long before that detection had actually occurred.

What is a 1031 Exchange and What Does It Do for You?// The Real Estate Blitz! - Duration: 3:37.

Hey everybody!

What's going on?

KSAKris here!

The Real Estate Blitz!

And I wanted to talk about converting 1031 exchanges.

Converting low cash flow properties so a potential client can actually make more money in fact,

this is something that you can target and go after these people in order to generate

more deals.

So what is a 1031 exchange?

Basically a 1031 Exchange is if you have a property that is a rental property - designated

rental property and you wanted to sell that property.

You can sell it and you can purchase light properties without paying taxes.

You don't have to pay the taxes on that property so you're selling your property to purchase

another property or properties that are like it, in order to generate more cash flow and

more income.

First!

There are three things that you're looking for when you do buy and hold properties.

You're looking for the "cash flow" -that's the amount of money that you get every month

that's coming in.

That's the "appreciation" so over time the value of the property should increase and

then the "depreciation" that's the third one.

Depreciation is being able to write off-on taxes.

It's basically a tax write off so the more I can write-off you know because with money

there's only two ways to make it.

You either make more or you find a way to save it.

Having write-offs is saving money therefore you're making money right?

You pay less to the government, you keep more therefore you make more profit.

So that's the very first thing you need to understand.

Now cash flow properties.

The reason why a lot of people want to 1031 exchange is, the property that they presently

are in may not be making the cash flow or the appreciation or ... okay let me start

for one.

It may not be making the cash flow that they would like it to make so for example: I own

a $400,000, I only make $12,000 per month on that house, I know if I purchased a different

house in a different area I could be making $4,000 a month because I'm gonna get 1% per

month on principle meaning if I own a $400,000, I should be making 1% on the $400,000 right?

So that's 12% per year, that's $4,000 per month.

Now when a lot of people buy these properties they buy em - so it's worth $400,000 now but

when you bought it, it was only worth $120,000 therefore the $1,200 per month makes good

sense, but not for what it's worth right now.

The other thing that why people might want to get rid of it : Well they can't really

depreciate anymore, they've owned the house for five or more years, they can't really

write it off anymore so they're looking for something else because that is a way of making

more money.

They want to get into something that they can write off so they can make more cash.

And then the very last one, the overall appreciation.

The house has appreciated so much that they want to take that extra income and purchase

more property so again.

I bought the house for $120,000 - it's worth $400,000 right now, I can sell this and maybe

buy two houses or three houses or just a better cash flowing property.

Katie Price is going to parliament after her son Harvey Price was the victim of online trolling [ITV].

I did a petition last year to make online abuse a criminal offence. The House of Commons have come back to me and I am going there next week to make a new law – Harverys Law..

He was getting trolled so much about his colour, his size, his condition. And although I had people arrested and everything, the police can't take it any further because there's nothing in place..

What is a Defined Contribution Plan & How Does It Work? | You Money, Your Choices with Susan Daley - Duration: 4:11.

If you're fortunate to be one of the 1.1 million Canadian participants of a defined contribution

pension plan, you might be curious how these plans work and what their benefits might be.

In today's video, I'll outline what a defined contribution pension plan is

how it works, and some of the drawbacks associated with this plan.

I'm Susan Daley and this is Your Money, Your Choices.

A defined contribution pension plan is aptly named, since the employer benefits portion

of this plan are related to the contributions.

Each year, the employer will contribute a specific dollar amount to the plan.

This is usually stated as a percentage of your salary.

The employer contribution is often contingent on you making a contribution to the plan yourself,

but doesn't have to be.

For example, your employer may match contributions up to 4% of your salary.

If you contribute 3%, your employer will contribute 3%, if you contribute 5%, your employer will

only give you 4%.

This is often referred to as "free money" since for those who would already be saving

for their future, their employer is topping that up for them.

Sun Life Financial estimates that Canadians are leaving over $3 billion on the table from

not contributing to these matching programs.

Of course there are many reasons why Canadians are using their money for other things aside

from matching, but if it's a result of lack of knowledge, that's something that needs

to be addressed!

Unfortunately, with this type of plan, the employer is only responsible for providing

a contribution to the plan.

Once they've made that contribution, the rest is up to you.

You are given a list of options to invest in based on what the pension plan provider

(like Sun Life, Manulife, or Great West Life) is offering.

It is your responsibility to select the investment option that you're comfortable with from

a risk perspective.

For more information about risks when investing, check out my "Risks for Millennials Investors"

video.

The amount of money you receive at retirement will depend on how much you contributed to

the plan, and how well your investments have done.

These plans should really be called savings plans, rather than pension plans.

A Defined Contribution plan is similar to an RRSP (with employer contributions).

However your investment options are limited, and there are additional government restrictions

around withdrawing your money.

Now if you watched my previous video around Defined Benefit pension plans, you might be

thinking, this plan isn't nearly as good as a defined benefit plan.

All the risk is on you.

And in general, you're right.

A Defined Contribution plan may provide some advantages over a defined benefit plan though:

First, the money saved in your plan won't change (aside from savings, withdrawals, and

your investment returns) if your employer goes bankrupt.

Second, you should have greater flexibility around withdrawing your income in retirement.

Third, you can receive a higher retirement income if you invest in a riskier manner and

it works out for you.

However, the opposite could be true, if you outlive what your assets can provide due to

a long life or your investments fall at the wrong time.

Fourth, a lump sum is available to your heirs if you (and your spouse) pass away before

spending the income.

Most individuals don't have a choice whether they have a defined contribution or defined

benefit plan, though it's important to know which plan you have so that you can plan for

your retirement accordingly.

In addition, depending on the plan you currently have and the plan at a potential employer,

this may be a consideration if you're looking to switch jobs.

In the future, I'll outline in detail what options you have with pension plans if you

do change employers.

Are you one of the lucky 6.3 million Canadians that has an employer pension plan?

I'd love to hear about it in the comments below.

Australian rugby pay parity is 'a great day for women's sport' - Duration: 5:28.

Australian rugby pay parity is 'a great day for women's sport'

An entry level salary of 44,500 Australian dollars has been set for both men and womens sevens players following negotiations between the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA) and Rugby Australia (RA).

There was a further boost for Australias women with the agreement that players representing the 15-a-side team will receive Test match payments for the first time.

The announcement comes as part of a new collective bargaining agreement (CBA) that Australia Sevens co-captain Shannon Parry called a great day for womens sport.

The agreement, effective immediately, will run through to the end of the current broadcast deal in 2020.

A line in the sand RUPA President Dean Mumm said the new arrangement was a bold step forward.

Securing this agreement has been a priority for all parties and provides the certainty and stability to put recent challenges behind us, Mumm told reporters.

This agreement allows all parties to draw a line in the sand and move forward towards a more prosperous future for Australian Rugby. Ross Xenos, RUPA chief executive, contended Australias players would be able to concentrate on performance on the field thanks to improved financial security off it.

This CBA ensures that every players core conditions of employment continue to improve with every new season, said Xenos.

Player well-being is no longer being spoken about as a priority but rather being delivered upon as a key outcome of this agreement. Vital All female players will now be supported by an industry-leading pregnancy policy, according to outgoing Rugby Australia CEO Bill Pulver, providing security should they wish to temporarily step away from the game to start a family.

Parry, part of Australias victorious sevens team at the Rio 2016 Olympics, pointed to the success of gold medalist mother and two Nicole Beck as evidence starting a family neednt diminish youre your ability on the rugby field.

The implementation of such a ground-breaking pregnancy policy is really important, said Parry.

Were in such a different sport to most female athletes in terms of the physicality of the game, but to make sure youre not prevented from wanting to have children and a family is vital.

To have the security of being able to return to your contract gives our squad a sense that the door will always be open, and as weve seen with Nicole Beck there is absolutely no reason why you cant come back and compete at the highest level after having children. Beck returned to action last September after the birth of her second child.

Parry, who also plays for the Australian 15-a-side team, believes the new agreement means women will continue to view rugby as a viable career option in the future.

It is always a huge honor to be able to represent your country, but when you have to take leave off work without pay for so long like at the Womens Rugby World Cup it does definitely put a significant dent in your pocket, said Parry.

On the back of Olympic success in Rio, the sport has seen significant growth in female participation rates, and for us as role models we need to continue to do what we can to look after the longevity of the womens game. Were really trying to entice as many women as possible to come and give our game a go, she added.

This CBA gives them to security to commit to Rugby and to give it their best shot. Visit CNN.com/rugby for more news and features The next leg of the Womens Rugby Sevens World Series takes place at Sydneys Allianz Stadium from January 26-28.

This Is Us Fans Curse Out Crock-Pots in Wake of Latest Bombshell | 24H News - Duration: 6:23.

This Is Us Fans Curse Out Crock-Pots in Wake of Latest Bombshell

This Is Us Spoiler Alert:. Jack Pearson is about to die.

Granted, fans of this emotional NBC drama have known this for several months, but they were given a major clue as to what leads to Jacks death on This Is Us Season 2 Episode 13.

On Tuesdays installment, we were treated to a flashback to Jack and Rebecca's neighbor, George, gifting the young couple with a crock-pot because he and his wife were cleaning out their house in preparation for a sale.

He warned them at the time that the switch had to be fiddled with and that the item was not in mint condition. but that it still worked.

Fast forward 17 years on the show and we witnessed Jack turning off the crock-pot and leaving the room - only for the switch to somehow turn back on!.

It ignited a dish towel. And it created an blaze that quickly worked its way through the kitchen.

Indeed, it looks very much like Jack will die in a house fire and that it will all be this faulty crock-pot will be to blame.

(Well finally find out for certain on this Sundays post-Super Bowl episode of This Is Us Season 2.

As a result of this bombshell, This Is Us fans are seriously peeved. Not at the show, necessarily, but at the appliance that basically takes Jacks life.

"I just threw my crock-pot out the window…. #ThisIsUs," one fan Tweeted shortly after Tuesdays hour ended, while another chimed in as follows:. "I will never accept a crockpot as a gift now #ThisIsUs.

This people seem pretty darn serious. You do NOT mess with Jack Pearson. "I get married in less than 2 months and suddenly I feel the need to remove the crockpot from the registry. DONT. NEED. IT.  #ThisIsUs, added another disgruntled viewer.

In response to another fan asking on the official Crock Pot Facebook page whether the brand would be airing a Super Bowl ad to address this controversy, the company replied:.

"Jack Pearson was our Valentine so we equally understand your pain with his loss. We love him and we love you too.

Don't further add to our heartbreak by no longer using Crock-Pot Slow Cookers, rest assured our products have been generationally tested by your family and friends.

Another Internet user named Ruthie pressed the brand for a response to the matter, noting that "so many people are worried now. Crock-Pot wrote back: "We're heartbroken over last night's episode too!… [W]e're innocent until proven guilty.

It got to the point where series creator Dan Fogelman had to jump on Twitter and take a moment to remind angry fans about a certain basic facts:.

Later in the day yesterday, as the outcry reached a fevered pitch, Crock-Pot issued the following detailed statement to TV Line:.

Crock-Pot understands the concerns brought up by last night's episode of This Is Us, and we too are heartbroken by the latest development in Jack's storyline.

However, it is important that our consumers understand and have confidence that all Crock-Pot slow cookers exceed all internal testing protocols and all applicable industry safety standards and regulations as verified by independent third-party testing labs.

For nearly 50 years, with over 100 million Crock-Pots sold, we have never received any consumer complaints similar to the fictional events portrayed in last night's episode.

In fact, the safety and design of our product renders this type of event nearly impossible.

Our hope is that the team at NBC's This Is Us will help us spread factual information regarding our product's safety.

While we know their primary mission is to entertain - something they have continued to excel in - we also feel they have a responsibility to inform.

Just like many fans, we will be watching next week's episode to see how Jack's story progresses and, regardless of the outcome, we want consumers first and foremost to know they are safe when using their Crock-Pot.

This Is Us fans mean business. They may end up bringing down an entire slow cooker industry all by themselves.
