Everything You Want Is On The Other Side Of Fear - Study Motivation - Duration: 10:23.

if there was one concept that I would suggest to people to take a daily

confrontation with is fear the the the problem with fear is that it lies right

so fear tells you hey you know if if you say that to that girl

she's gonna know she has you you know and she'll never really be attracted to

you if she knows how much you attracted to her don't say that no how we get

her is when she walks by ignore her fear tells you dumb like that you know you

know for me the the daily confrontation with with fear has become a real

practice for me since about 3 or 3 years ago I went I went skydiving in Dubai

right and skydiving skydiving is a really interesting confront with fear

right so so I guess I got a stand all right so so all your friends what

happens you go out how you oh sorry I drop my thing so what happens is you go

out the night before and you you know you take a drink with your friends and

somebody says yeah we should go skydiving tomorrow and you go yeah we'll

go skydiving oh yeah yeah right and you go home but you by yourself you like

right you like well I mean they was drunk too right so so maybe maybe they

not maybe maybe I mean we don't have to go we don't have to do it so then that

night you're laying in your bed and you just keep and you're terrified you keep

imagining over and over again jumping out of an airplane and you can't figure

out why you would do that right and you're laying there you have the worst

night's sleep of your life but you still have the hope that your friends were

drunk right so you wake up the next day and

you go you know down and you say where you were going to meet

everybody's there you're like oh all right all right cool cool cool cool cool

cool right so you get in the van and you don't know that your friends have the

same night that you had cuz they're pretended like they didn't it like yeah

man my uncle is a Navy SEAL and you know this is gonna be great I've been looking

forward to this you like oh my god oh my god and your stomach is terrible you

can't eat and everything but you don't want to be the only punk who doesn't

jump out of this airplane so you get there and then you have this safety

brief and you're standing there and the guys to tell you what the chute doesn't

open what's gonna happen is you're doing you a lot of help with what could happen

that the chute the chute wouldn't open right so you do a thing and what you do

is your first jump you're attached to a guy who is going you know he's gonna

walk you out so you go and you get there and there's an airplane and nobody

stopping everybody's still going so you get onto the airplane and you're

sitting there and and you know it's extra because you're sitting on some

dudes lap some stranger you sit on his lap and it's not you know you got trying

to make small talk yeah man so you deal you'd be you be jumping with people all

the time right you know so and then you just want

to make sure you got you have kids right you have people you need to see right

just want to make sure he's serious right so you get in there

so everything's normal so you fly and you go up you go up you go up and you go

up to 14,000 feet and you notice there's a light it's red and it's yellow and

green right so right now the lights red so then you start thinking at some point

the lights going to go green it but you don't know what's going to happen right

and you wait and it goes yellow and the light goes green and somebody opens the

door and in that moment you realize you've never been in a freaking airplane

with the door open right terror cause I'm spitting I'm sorry terror terror

terror terror right so you go and then you know if you're if you were smart you

sat in the back so you don't go first right and then people start going out of

the airplane and you go and the guy walks you up to the end of the thing and

you're standing and your toes are on the edge and you're looking out down to

death and they say on three and they say one two and he pushes you on two because

people grab on three right and you go and you fall out of the airplane and in

one second you realize that it's the most blissful experience of your life

you're flying right it doesn't feel like falling right it's like that you

actually are kind of held a little bit by the wind and then you start and you

you start falling you falling and you there's zero fear you realize that the

point of maximum danger is the point of minimum fear it's bliss it's bliss and

you're flying

right and you're doing it and then 20 seconds 25 seconds 40 seconds and you

have enough time to just kind of be like ah that's that building that's not like

oh you can see the ocean right you start doing all that and the the lesson for me was why were

you scared in your bed the night before why did you what do you need that fear

for just don't go why are you scared in your bed 16 hours before you jump why

are you scared in a car why could you not enjoy breakfast what would what did

you need that that fear is fear of what you're nowhere near the airplane

everything up to the stepping out there's actually no reason to be scared

it only just ruins your day you don't have to jump and then in that moment all

of a sudden where you should be terrified is the most blissful

experience of your life and God placed the best things in life on the other

side of terror on the other side of your maximum fear are all of the best things

in life about a year ago I was diagnosed with cancer I had a scan at 7:30 in the

morning and it clearly showed a tumor on my pancreas I didn't even know what a

pancreas was the doctors told me this was almost certainly a type of cancer

that is incurable and that I should expect to live no longer than 3 to 6

months my doctor advised me to go home and get

my affairs in order which is doctors code for prepare to die it means to try

and tell your kids everything you thought you'd have the next 10 years to

tell them in just a few months it means to make sure everything is buttoned up

so that will be as easy as possible for your family it means to say your

goodbyes I live with that diagnosis all day later

that evening I had a biopsy where they stuck an endoscope down my throat

through my stomach and into my intestines put a needle into my pancreas

and got a few cells from the tumor I was sedated but my wife who was there told

me that when they viewed the cells under a microscope the doctor started crying

because it turned out to be a very rare form of pancreatic cancer that is

curable with surgery I had the surgery and thankfully

I'm fine now

this was the closest I've been to facing death and I hope it's the closest I get

for a few more decades having lived through it I can now say this to you

with a bit more certainty than when death was a useful but purely

intellectual concept no one wants to die even people who want to go to heaven

don't want to die to get there and yet death is the destination we all

share no one has ever escaped it and that is as it should be because death is

very likely the single best invention of life its life's change agent it clears

out the old to make way for the new right now the new is you but some day

not too long from now you will gradually become the old and be cleared away sorry

to be so dramatic but it's quite true your time is limited so don't waste it

living someone else's life don't be trapped by dogma which is

living with the results of other people's thinking don't let the noise of

others opinions drown out your own inner voice and most important have the

courage to follow your heart and intuition they somehow already know what

you truly want to become everything else is secondary

I just don't want to be okay with where where I'm at like I never want to settle

I never want to be like just happy with where I'm at like I always want to be

going for better

always get better at stuff I knew I was wired to be excited about business how

or why I don't know but you know and there's certain guys they have the

genetics to jump out of the gym right for certain guys you know that you know

when they golf they have the muscle memory and and the discipline you know

Dirk may not be the most talented guy in the NBA but his

discipline and his focus to do what's necessary to be successful he's willing

to do and combine it with being seven feet tall and being skilled you know it

makes him an amazing basketball player so it's understanding what your skill

set is finding the right place to use those skills and then going for it you

know will that make you 250 grand it depends if you pick the right industry

but whatever industry you pick if you outwork everybody if you try to be a

little smarter than everybody if you try to be a better salesperson than

everybody if you try to be better prepared than everybody you've got your

best chance because if you don't do it and somebody else does you know I have

the same work like someone's trying to take it all away from you you know work

you actually work like someone's spending 24 hours working 24 hours to

take it all away from you and that's kind of the way I look at it

Our HOMEMADE PLANE is finished! | FLYING BIKE #2 - Duration: 5:27.

We started building our homemade plane in our last video

We now have to cover the wings and stabilize it

the experiment is about using normal materials to build a plane

so we will use bed sheets to cover the wings

the fabric has to be sealed

normal paint isn't perfect but as you know, we try to just use normal materials

we have to stabilize the fuselage

so we bought another old laundry spider

now we have to balance it so we build this thing

the bike is fixed here

so we will see what happens when I get on the bike

it is balanced pretty well

but we still aren't shure if we will be able to hold it stable

maybe we will have to use three wheels

we will now test if it is possible to stabilize the plane while driving

we couldn't go very fast because the front wheel will go up

so I would drive on one wheel unable to steer

this is why someone had to hold it

so we will attach two more wheels to hold it stable

we just went up to 15km/h

the plane should take of at 40 km/h

this should be possible when we attach the wheels

if you have an idea how we could call the plane let us know in the comments

you have been pretty creative for our submarine

we will work on our human drone very soon, we still are waiting for the rotors

we have given the model away on PATREON

thanks to everyone who supports us!

unfortunately we won't be able to upload every week

because it is a lot of work

and we want to produce the best quality for you!

So don't forget to SUBSCRIBE! ;)

Government Hands Out Billions To Wealthy Corporations – But Universal Healthcare Is Unrealistic? - Duration: 3:56.

One of the biggest things that's really made me angry over the last few weeks is the fact

that not just Republicans but also some corporate Democrats who continue to tell us that we

absolutely cannot afford these proposals being put forth by people like Bernie Sanders.

The things that the public really wants, like Medicare for all or debt-free college or increased

Medicaid, increased Social Security.

"We simply can't afford that," these so-called progressives are telling us.

Well, here's a number that I want everybody to remember forever, 80 billion dollars.

Remember that number, and no, that's not just the amount that we increased our military

budget by this year even though it's the same amount.

Eighty billion dollars is the amount of the money that the United States Federal Government

hands out every single year in subsidies to already wealthy corporations, most of whom

pull in more than a billion dollars in profit every single year.

And yet, in spite of that, in spite of the fact that these are hugely profitable companies

employing people and paying them dirt floor wages, we're handing out an extra 80 billion

dollars every single year to them.

Why?

Most of that is coming from states and local governments.

The money comes from the federal down to the local levels, and they pay companies, like

Walmart or other big box stores, Target, Best Buy, things like that, Home Depot, Lowes,

to come into their areas and build a store because it creates commerce, and it does.

That's absolutely true, but what the companies do is they start engaging in basically auctions.

They pit one city against another and say, "This city's willing to give us X, Y, and

Z.

What are you going to give us to beat that?"

They get a counteroffer.

They take it back to the first city.

Essentially, these companies are screwing over taxpayers several times in a row just

so they can get some money to go build a store in an area where they were already going to

build a store.

That's what gets me about this.

"Oh, Walmart's not going to come here because we don't give them a million dollars in tax

breaks off the top?"

Bullshit!

Walmarts pop up all the time.

They're going to continue doing that.

Why?

Because they like money.

Same thing goes for any of these other stores.

This isn't just about Walmart.

It's about all of them, and yet, we can't help ourselves from giving them 80 billion

dollars a year, so that they can come into our communities, pay minimum wage to their

employees, which the taxpayers in the areas then have to subsidize for things like food

stamps and Medicaid because these people can't afford it, and they don't get health insurance

from their employer.

That's another side effect of this.

And yet, some of these progressives, Democrats, and Republicans have the audacity to tell

us that we can't afford debt-free college.

We can't afford Medicare for all.

We can't afford to keep paying out Social Security.

There's 80 billion dollars within the Federal Government right now that's going to companies

that make more than a billion dollars a year in profit just from sales of their goods.

If we can afford to give them 80 billion dollars, I think we can afford to give every American

citizen not only a free college education but free healthcare for their entire lives.

What is the "noble lie" advocated by Dr. L. D. Rue? - Duration: 1:24.

Ankerberg: Yeah, and I found it incredible that a doctor, L.D.

Rue, in a remarkable address to the American Academy for the Advancement of Science in

1991, advocated that we believe in a "noble lie."

Talk about that.

Craig: Right.

What Professor Rue said is that we cannot allow social chaos to govern society.

But, on the other hand, the totalitarian option of trying to impose moral values on people

is equally unworkable.

So how do we get out of this predicament?

He said what we need is a "noble lie" whereby the intelligentsia deceive the masses

into believing that there are objective moral values, objective meaning, objective purpose,

even though there is none.

And so Rue advocated that we deceive ourselves by means of this noble lie so that mankind

and society can function and go forward.

His closing verdict was very telling.

He said without such lies we cannot live.

This is the dreadful verdict pronounced upon modern man.

In order to live consistently and happily, he must live in self-deception.

Dental clinician, technician interaction is key - Duration: 0:51.

If you're a young clinician coming out of dental school, I think the best advice

I can give you from a technician perspective is to find a good lab,

find somebody that's not scared of technology that's still artistic and sees the value

of being artistic, so the pendulum shouldn't swing too far either way.

Find a lab that has a good balance and make sure they know who you are.

Stop by the lab to introduce yourself. Make friends with your technicians.

Let them know "Dr. Smith" is an actual person and not just a prescription.

It really makes a big difference on how clinicians and technicians get together is

when they know each other and see each other,

and respect each other as things go on.
