Fantasy football: Why should I pick Victor Lindelof for my team next season?

Manchester United have completed their first signing of the new season in the shape of Victor Lindelof – which is certainly good news for all of you fantasy football managers out there.

Lindelof joined United from Benfica for a £31million fee, putting pen-to-paper on a four year deal.

The 22-year-old will seemingly fit in alongside Eric Bailly in Jose Mourinhos line-up, and will provide a solid alternative to Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Marcos Rojo. Lindelof could be the missing piece in your Dream Team.

United have been trailing Lindelof all season, with transfer speculation peaking in January. The Sweden international has become Mourinho's first arrival of the window as the Portuguese works to strengthen his squad ahead of the new Premier League season.

Lindelof is a mainstay in Swedens national team. According to WhoScored, Dream Teams ratings providers, Lindelof was by-far the highest performing young defender in the Primeira Liga last season, earning himself a respectable 703 rating over a massive 32 appearances for Benfica.

To put that into context, no defender under the age of 25 played more times for their club in the Portuguese top-flight, with centre-back partner Luisao fairing only slightly better in the ratings with  709 despite his vast experience.

The 22-year-old has won three league titles with Benfica. With Lindelof expected to complete the move to Old Trafford over the next week or so, we can begin to speculate what the stylish defender could add to your Dream Team line-up.

We estimate his value will be around the same as his future United teammates Bailly and Rojo (both £3. 5m) were valued at the beginning of last season.

The closing date for the season game, therefore, will be the first day of the Premier League campaign on August 12 2017.

I think in the next election it should be Pete for PM. That was Tauranga Yacht and Power Boat Club treasurer Gary Smiths reaction after watching former club member and Team New Zealand helmsmen Peter Burling bring home the Americas Cup.

I watched his progression to Olympic sailing to here. It is another step in where he is going.. Champagne flowed at the yacht club as hundreds of fans celebrated Emirates Team New Zealand claiming the 35th Americas Cup.

The crowd erupted when Team New Zealand sealed their win in impressive style, crossing the finish line 55 seconds ahead of rivals Oracle Team USA. Team New Zealand won eight races to Oracles one to give the New Zealanders a final score of 7-1.

Smith said it was a magic day for the club. He had helped a young Burling with getting to know his sailing rules. Although I think he ended up teaching me, he laughed.

He could see Burling was a bit nervous. You could feel the pressure, the anticipation.

He had it all under control. He went out at the first gybe. Then that speed, that was an amazing performance. It was fantastic to see that result.

Tauranga fan Clare Bailey woke up early to watch the final stage of the Cup match. Mrs Bailey was there with her father, Ivor Drought, who had his eyes glued to the big screen.

Mrs Baileys mother was wearing a black and white New Zealand flag in support of Peter Burlings team. Its coming home, its coming home, she chanted.

Club commodore Nick Wrinch said he was still in shock to see Team New Zealand win the race. It is great, I am so impressed.

He described race nine as clinical. We did not win the start but they showed that they could go so fast downwind. We took control of the match and won it..

Mr Wrinch did not know when Burling would be back. I am sure we will be having something, like a little welcome home.

He is our boy. We are very proud, so proud. My heart is still beating. I cannot believe what I just saw..
