#5 Part 3 - Is it wise to park most of my cash in a flexi loan account? - Duration: 2:19.
Now I have another question from Wai Yi who is from PJ
He asked: "I parked most of my cash in Flexi loan account,
Is that a wise strategy to do?" My answer is yes and no.
Now assuming the effective interest rate of the loan now is 4.5%.
My answer is yes.
It is a good strategy to do if Wei Yi, you can't find an investment opportunity
that can give you a return more than 6%, which is like 1.5% higher than your effective interest rate.
Because to get 4.5%
interest rate saving is also still better than the return that you're getting from your fixed deposit which is only 3.5%
Honestly, I think that no opportunity to get the return higher than 6% is not a good excuse.
For us who is determined to grow our money,
to achieve our financial freedom, we must continue to learn, must continue to find opportunity to get higher return.
I believe opportunity is there for someone who is
very serious to get the return about 7 to 9% annualised return. So my real answer to this question is that
is NO.
Putting money or putting cash in your flexible loan account is not a wise strategy
