'Wonder Woman' Headed for Big Israel Opening as Country Rallies Behind Gal Gadot | Mlog TV - Duration: 5:39.

'Wonder Woman' Headed for Big Israel Opening as Country Rallies Behind Gal Gadot

For those who thought stakes were high for Warner Bros. and the cinematic DC universe with the release of Wonder Woman, star Gal Gadot is carrying the weight of an entire nation on her shoulders.

Ever since the former Miss Israel was cast as the lasso-wielding superhero back in December 2013, the excitement and support for Gadot in Israel has been strong, some even say unprecedented.

Every single print, online and TV outlet has been positively covering the Wonder Woman press tour, with many portraying Gadot as an ambassador for the country. Many TV and red carpet appearances have been presented by the countrys media as major headline news.

There is no one Israeli that is non-supportive, wrote Israel Hayom newspaper columnist Adi Rubinstein this week.

Gadot is the leading Israeli product on TV all over the world right now — no format, idea or Israeli persona can successfully do what Gadot has been doing this past month..

Israeli advertising tech startup Taykey, which tracks internet chatter, says that Gadot mentions online have been 95 percent positive, explaining that this means she is unrivaled as the most loved Israeli in the world. She also currently outranks Oscar winner and Jerusalem born Natalie Portman on top of IMDBs ranking of most popular industry people born in Israel.

"Gal has been a household name in Israel for years, keeping her cool and down-to-earth persona, unlike many others, even when she became such a huge star, says Guy Pines, who is known as one of Israel's prime authorities in entertainment and host of entertainment and celebrity news show Erev Tov With Guy Pines. "Knowing how many others dream and work so hard to get there, you just cant not love her and appreciate her amazing achievement.

And pleaaassse try to pronounce her name right.

Ga-dott!" So how will the hometown love translate in terms of box office? Israeli insiders project Wonder Woman, which already started screening Wednesday night in select theaters, could pull in $1.8 million over the four-day weekend (roughly 6.5 million shekels), a mighty hefty debut locally that would be Warner Bros. strongest in years.

By comparison, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 opened in Israel to $1.2 million in July 2011, while Gadot's eagerly awaited introduction in 2016's Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice racked in $1.1 million on its first weekend.

Yet it's still a cool million dollars shy of April's The Fate of the Furious' huge opening weekend of $2.8 million, the biggest in years. The franchise, which previously featured Gadot, is considered a massive local favorite.

One factor counting against the new superhero movie in terms of Israeli box office are traditional religious people who abstain from watching movies with leading ladies, such as Wonder Woman.

While in New York for a press tour stop that had been moved from London after the May 22 Manchester Arena bombing, Gadot took to Instagram in her native Hebrew to share her excitement over a surprise she got from home in the form of Tel Avivs prominent Azrieli Center skyscrapers, which were lit up with the captions Proud of you, Gal Gadot and Our Wonder Woman. "When my mom and dad sent this to me, I was sure they did it on a computer, and then I got another image from my cousin, good friend and a colleague and I realized its actually real, she wrote.

Wow! No Words. Added Gadot: Im giving thanks for everything, nothing is for granted, I wish I could reciprocate all the kindness and love back to the universe, a big thank you to everyone.

I Have No Patience for Video Games - Duration: 4:54.

I found out recently that I have no patience for video games anymore.

Hello and welcome to CapOhTV, the only channel where we know school is a joke and you don't

want to be the punchline.

If this is your first time here, well, you came at a good time because I'm doing an experimental

episode in the card.

I did a live stream last Saturday night with a game called Cry of Fear.

I picked it because it was supposed to be scary, it was supposed to be good, and it

was free.

I played it in the dark because I wanted to be scared.

I scare easily, I never finished the original Silent Hill, yada-yada-yada, go back and look

at that live stream, I explained all of that.

By the time I was done streaming that game, I found out that I have no patience anymore

for video games of that sort.

Within the first three minutes of actually playing the game I got stuck in a black room

with a busted window.

There was nowhere else to go except through the window.

But I didn't know how to get through it.

Now, I'm not used to playing first-person shooters but I guess it's a mechanic of that

type of game to crouch and jump through stuff.

I didn't even know this game had a crouch button, though, because it didn't tell you

anything.

In order to know what the controls were you had to go into the menu.

Now I know that's something that games used to do when there were no such things as tutorial

levels.

But, I mean, still, it's a black room.

If you're in the dark you have no idea what's going on and you're expected to figure out

to jump through a window.

If I had first-person shooter experience, maybe I would have got it right away.

Maybe everything would have been fine and smooth sailing.

I wouldn't have gotten frustrated.

But I don't have the patience for that.

When I started the game I was legitimately scared already within the first three minutes

but after spending those ten minutes trying to get through that window, I was more frustrated

than scared.

The frustration overrode the fear factor.

A little later on in the game you find out that this going to be the type of game where

you have an objective then you have to go find clues to solve the objective and then

run all the way back to where the objective first was.

Backtracking.

I have no patience for that either apparently.

And then you meet the first enemy in the game and it kicks your ass.

I have no patience for enemies that do way too much damage relative to the damage you

do to them.

I know it might be because it's supposed to be scary and give you a sense of danger.

But when you're at half your health with no health packs in sight and you've still got

to go through two or three difference sections of a stage or level, it gets frustrating.

What else happened in that game...?

There's the backtracking, the unclear direction, the enemies that do too much damage...

Oh, jump scares!

I played this game because the reviews and such said that it was terrifying and that

it would really mess you up psychologically.

But in the first 45 minutes to an hour all there were were jump scares.

There's no atmosphere in this game.

It was all just, like, around the corner there's another enemy, around this corner there's

some weird trash bag kids.

Like, I wanted to be scared, but if I wanted that I would have played Spooky's Jump Scare

Mansion.

And let me tell you, that game scared me more than this one did because that game wasn't

frustrating.

So as it turns out, I have no patience for games anymore that just take up my time and

frustrate me.

I would rather be using that time to actually produce something, to create something, to

do something productive in general.

Because when I'm done playing a game, what do I have to show for it other than a lot

of time I'll never get back?

Now granted when I was younger, even a couple years ago, I loved spending five, six, seven,

eight hours at a time playing a game.

There's not many games that get me like that anymore because I'm always pulled in a different

direction thinking what I could be doing that's better than this.

Overall, the point is I didn't realize I had no patience left for games like this until

I played Cry of Fear, live, in front of a small audience.

I rage quit that game because I was frustrated.

Not scared.

Have you reached this point yet in video games?

Or do you think you'll ever get there?

Leave a comment down below and let's talk about that!

And also, let me know what you think of this format where I'm driving in the car talking

about whatever.

I think this will be a very good way to increase the output of videos on this channel.

As always, thanks for watching, see you later, bye!

Improving Outcomes for Asthma Patients - Duration: 2:10.

The main focus is to improve asthma health outcomes for our patients in our study, there

are 550 of them between the ages of 5 and 75 and they all at study entry had poorly

controlled asthma.

Patients when they were enrolled in the study were randomized to one

of four boxes if you will, they either two of those boxes they received community health

worker intervention or not and in the other direction they were either enhanced clinics

that have gone through QI training or not, and the box we were most interested in is

the one where those two overlap, the community health worker and the enhanced clinic intervention,

and for that group we built a preventive asthma template in the electronic health record that

they all use called "next-gen".

One thing that has happened that I that's very gratifying to me is the electronic health

record we were just talking about has actually been picked up by other clinic systems that

use the same vendor and without any training or without any marketing or anything they

just found it and it started using it, so that's a vote of confidence.

Also, the two health networks that we work with have prioritized asthma in the coming

year and creating a preventive asthma flow in their practices across their whole network

systems based on our pilot work with four of their thirteen practices.

If you provide perfect asthma care in a clinic setting that's really not enough because there's

a lot of things you can't change about a person's home environment without sort of going there.

If you provide perfect home visits that's not enough by itself because you also need

the work of the clinicians to help treat properly.

So it was really a sense that this is a multi-faceted problem that requires a multifactorial solution.
