Hi I'm Chloe, I've been a volunteer with Forward Leeds for around two months now.

I currently volunteer within the progress group helping support Graham.

Where we look at personal and social development and how to beat the stigma around addiction.

I'm a student at university at the moment studying mental health nursing, and addiction

has always been an area I've been passionate about.

So I wanted to come and gain some more experience.

I feel that Forward Leeds is fantastic because there's such a wide range of support available

– in that there's so many teams to help support people through their addiction and

recovery journey.

I think that it's great because when service users and staff come together it creates a

friendly, positive and social atmosphere.

I know that it gives other people something to look forward to every week, and it also

gives me something to look forward too.
