Waching daily Jun 4 2017

Hello everyone and welcome back to Passion Sunday's the best way to end the

week and start another our guest today is an experienced BBC World News

journalist who travelled the world covering all forms of news lorna thank

you very much for being with us today thank you for having me

I'm really excited to talk to a fellow media person but particularly somebody

who works for an organization like a BBC and covering world news is not an easy

task so tell me where do you get the passion

for what you're doing I think as a child I've always loved speaking people and

interviewing them you know even when I was like seven years old we used to have

people come to the house you know workmen or anything I used to interview

them it's go around the house interviewing everybody when we had big

events I'd watch it on the TV with my family and then I go upstairs and I'd

write down everything and I come back down and like do stand-in for my parents

and like read a news report and I got into like my first job as at Sky News

and they got into that because I made a documentary which they bought off me and

I think you know I've always been I'm you know I'm a nosy person I love

needing people I'm sure like yourself and when I realized that I could make

that into a career I mean you know it with when were and super it must have

been tough along the way because you're talking about the beautiful times when

they bought it from you and you know you're keeping vivid memories yeah I'm

sure along the way you might have had tough times how did he find passion in

those times I mean working in media is tough sometimes i mean i was lucky that

i you know i got a job straight away a lot of people a lot of friends of mine

struggles because there's not many positions and you know i've covered a

cover from really you know hard things I was out living in Singapore working in

the bureau there when we had the typhoon in the Philippines and you know I had to

go over there and it was you know I've been in some really tough situations and

there have been times when you're judged or judged for what you say you're judged

for the way you look and I don't know I've always just tried to you know keep

my confidence and to try and like you know be treating

myself you know and you know everyone gets comment thrown at them and I think

if you take everything on board you'd never succeed you've just got to

try and keep your just keep a smile on your face really hearing sometimes when

it's tough the honesty you know you have to keep a smile yeah so what does

fashion mean to what is passion passion to me is my job is my passion you know

my friends my job my passion and it means that you know I want to get out of

bed I want to do it it's something that I never switch off you know I go to bed

at night and I'm I'm on my phone and trying to find the latest thing I'm

trying to connect with people it's something that that excites me you know

it gets that fire inside you beautiful and how do you keep that fire going by

new single people by going learning having more experiences I mean we're

here in Dubai and you know I've been here for three days and I've held

workshops with the government with Abu Dhabi media meeting I've met hundreds of

interesting people and it's just so exciting like having new challenges I

think you know if you don't have that you'll get bored and you won't love your

job you just always got to try and just try and push yourself find challenges to

keep the passion alive absolutely thank you very much for this

amazing thank you love it I think you passion what do you think I would really

love to hear your opinion so if you found this interview as useful as I did

Kate Middleton takes £3,000 helicopter flight home while the Queen opts for the train - Duration: 2:40.

The Duchess of Cambridge was photographed getting ready to board a helicopter on her

way home from Kensington Palace to Amner Hall in a flight that cost British taxpayers thousands

of pounds.

In contrast, Queen Elizabeth took the opposite trip home a day later for a fraction of the

price.

According to the MailOnline, Kate was pictured preparing for her 3,000 ($4,356) trip to

the Queen's Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The 110 mile trip, which lasted about 45 minutes to and from, was significantly more expensive

than the Queen's 54.90 train trip from Norfolk to London.

Kate reportedly took the Queen's Flight, which is used by the Royal Family on official engagements

and paid for by the Government to fund the Queen's official duties as head of state.

MailOnline reported that the helicopter landed at Kensington Palace, giving Kate time to

change into an Alexander McQueen suit and Lock & Co hat before heading to an 11am engagement.

Shortly after the two hour event ended, the 34 year old royal mother of two was seen taking

off in a casual travel friendly outfit.

MailOnline noted the princess had attended a service in London marking the 75th anniversary

of the Air Training Corps, her first official engagement as its Honorary Air Commandant.

Kate is the first woman to hold the post, after Prince Philip retired from the position

after over 60 years in January.

A day later, 89 year old Queen Elizabeth traveled from King's Lynn station in Norfolk on the

10.54am train to King's Cross in London.

As expected, the Queen traveled in the first class carriage.

Graeme Pratt, station manager, told MailOnline: "It's an honour to have her use the train

service.

I asked her if she enjoyed her stay in Norfolk, to which she said she did."

When asked about the different travel methods, a Kensington Palace spokesman told reporters:

"The Royal Household makes careful decision about transport plans and always seeks to

travel in the most appropriate way possible considering the arrangements for an official

engagement.

Bill Maher Issues an Apology For Saying the N-Word - Duration: 1:40.

For Complex News, I'm Natasha Martinez.

Bill Maher's use of the N word has sparked deserved outrage over his tasteless "joke"

while on live television with Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse.

During HBO's Real Time With Bill Maher, the comedian responded to the Senator's invitation

to work in the field with him.

Maher claimed his racial response was a joke but no one is laughing with him.

Saturday morning he issued an apology saying,

Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I'm up reflecting on the things

I should or shouldn't have said on my live show.

Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of

a live moment.

The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.

HBO also issued a statement saying,

Bill Maher's comment last night was completely inexcusable and tasteless.

We are removing his deeply offensive comment from any subsequent airings of the show.

There is no word on if the network will suspend Maher for the offense which is not a suitable

response for a number of people, including Chance the Rapper and American civil rights

activist Deray McKesson.

Please @HBO Do Not Air Another Episode Of Real Time With Bill Maher.

Bill Maher would like us to believe that his use of the n-word is in joking solidarity.

But w/ whom?

He was talking about us, not w/ us.

Maher's show has been airing on HBO since 2003.

At 61 years old, the comedian is known for his sarcastic attitude, satire, and pushing

boundaries.

This is certainly not the first time he has caused outrage.

At this point it is not clear whether Maher will suffer any consequences for his choice

of words.

English for Portuguese Speakers 32 - 'I am with a hangover' or 'I have a hangover?' (with subtitles) - Duration: 2:16.

Hello again everyone, and welcome back to

'One English Tip in One Minute for

Portuguese speakers,' where each week I

talk about one common English mistake

made by those who speak Portuguese as a

mother tongue, and this is the 32nd

video or video number 32.

Yet again, I admire that you are

working to improve your English, and I

hope you keep it up. And I admire that

you speak more than one language. It's

impressive. The more languages you speak,

the more impressed I am, anyway. In

these videos I show you a slide, and on

the side there are two sentences: One is

the correct way a native English speaker

would say it, the other is the wrong way

that a native Portuguese speaker might

say it, and you have to decide which one

is correct. Please do that now. Read

the sentences, listen to me read the

sentences, pause the video, think about

your answer and I will discuss the

answer in the slide that follows this slide.

Okay so if you got

this wrong - or you took a wild guess and

just happened to get it right -- hopefully

now you understand the reason that you

made the mistake. Hopefully you will

start to study more to get past this

mistake. To start you off on that

process, I've given you three sentences

to study from. Memorize these

sentences in their entirety -- hardwire

them into your brain by reviewing them

over and over again -- and put into

practice what you've learned through

speaking or writing or both...and if you

still don't have it after that, go out

and use the many resources that are out

there -- including my own -- to help you get

past the mistake.

2017 WTTC Interview Ding Ning Takes the Women's Singles Title for the Third Time (Eng Sub) -- CCTV5 - Duration: 1:39.

I think Zhu Yuling played really well today.

My performance was great as well.

But I think I did not win with the lead in the second game had led to the tough match in game 4.

So I calmed down myself.

And played 1 point at a time.

If I lost that game I would be 1-3 behind.

When you were 1-2 behind, I found you changed your strategy and moved the opponent around. Why?

We are familiar to each other.

We are teammates.

I think it's more about determination in the match.

I played very well.

Yet my opponent is very competitive and capable as well.

Every point that I lost was quite reasonable.

So I told myself to be determined

and don't rush.

How would you summarized the match in one word?

I think it's teamwork.

Teamwork.

Despite I won the champion,

it's because I was the only Chinese in the top half of the draw.

I bear huge pressure.

The team support plays a huge role in winning the champion.

And my teammate was my opponent in the finals.

So we could play all our tactics in the match.

This reveals the strength of our team.

NWS Missoula Fire Weather Briefing for June 4, 2017 - Duration: 1:57.

Fire weather briefing for Sunday June 4th.

No real big changes for this update.

We're still on track for the hot ridge to build into the region by mid-week with some

of the first 90 degree readings for some valleys.

Pacific trough moves in by Friday to initiate ridge break down and a cool and wet start

to next weekend.

The next several slides will show you the general daily trend for relative humidity.

A few showers are possible across Glacier National Park early then becoming partly to

mostly sunny Monday.

Starting to warm up a little Tuesday with some high clouds streaming overhead for a

period.

Temperatures generally 8 to 12 degrees above normal.

Depending on the timing of shower activity and cold front Wednesday and/or Thursday could

both be the hottest days of the week for some areas.

Wednesday may end up being the driest day area-wide while humidity values could be in

the teens for southwest Montana Thursday.

The front begins to approach central Idaho later Thursday.

Southwest Montana will become breezy Thursday while the coverage of showers and thunderstorms,

some of which could be wet and some could be strong, will increase as well.

Cold front over western Montana will bring showers and thunderstorms there while much

higher humidity levels over central Idaho.

There are some differences on weather model solutions on the timing of the front, so some

places could be drier like across southwest Montana.

It will be much cooler on Saturday with some low valleys reaching the lower 60s for highs.

Relative humidity levels will be relatively high.

Climate Prediction Center (CPC) 8-14 day outlook through June 14th calls for confidence for

below normal temperature and an equal chance for above or below normal chance for precipitation.

The next fire weather briefing will be this Thursday June 8th.

Thank you and have a great week!

2017 WTTC Interview Zhu Yuling Settled for Second (Eng Sub) -- CCTV5 - Duration: 1:36.

In the 6th game at 5:8, after a big smash you messaged your shoulder. Do you have injury in your shoulder?

No.

It might be just a habit.

I think my performance is ok.

I played what I am capable of.

When I was 2-1 leading,

and I took a game point at 10:9.

I think it's a critical point.

I had the chance at 10:9

but I hesitated in my service.

There were no major problems in the match.

You won 5 straight points after 6:9 behind in the 2th game. What were the adjustments made?

This match is similar to the semi finals which I had no advantage over the opponents.

My overall ability is not as good as my 2 experienced teammate.

Thus I was prepared for a very tough match.

I knew I would fall behind and find it hard to be aggressive.

So I would play 1 point at a time.

During breakfast, Qiu Yike talked to you for an hour. What is the content of the chat?

Nothing special. I was very excited in the morning.

And I woke up too early.

We talked nothing about table tennis.

So I could relax a bit.

How would you comment on this championships?

There's still a long way to go. This championships is a new start to me.
